Description: Adam wants to marry Y/N so he goes to his dad and his brother for some advice.

Adam sat on the couch in his mum and dads front room, twiddling the small, black box in his hands. He wanted to marry you with everything in his heart but he wanted to make asking you extra special but he had no idea where to start, which is why he was at his parents house, asking his father and brother for help. 

“Alright, Pussface.” Johnny walked through the door and patted his brother on the head, earning a hateful stare from Adam. “Hello, bambino.” Martin sat on the couch across from his two sons, messing about with yet another household item.

"What on earth are you doing with that?" Adam screwed up his features to try and at least think of what his father could be up to. "Adam, we could ask you the same question." Johnny nodded down towards the box in Adams hands.

Martin leaned forward in curiosity. "Well, spit it out." Adam closed his eyes as he felt his face begin to redden. "It's a-its a ring. I'm going to ask Y/N to marry me." He slowly opened his eyes and looked around the room.

Both Martin and Johnny had beaming smiles on their faces. "What did you keep it so secret for? I'm happy for you, bro." Johnny clapped Adam on the back and brought him in for a hug. "Who would've thought you'd be the one to get married first, eh?"

"They haven't said yes yet." Johnny looked his brother in the eyes with upmost certainty. "Trust me, they will." Adam turned to his father who's expression had turned a little mixed.

"Please tell me you've told your mother. She's going to go mad if she's not the first one you've told." Adam shook his head. "No, if I did, she'd blurt everything out to Y/N before I'd even had a chance to plan anything. Which reminds me, I need a little help with the actual proposal. I think I should keep it simple, nothing too much, but I know that some people like everything to be over the top about their weddings, even the proposal."

Martin stood up and clapped his son on the back. "If you want my advice, don't marry at all. You age about 50 years just after you say 'I do'". He walked to the kitchen laughing, with Adam throwing a cushion after him.

"Ignore dad. Just do whatever your heart tells you to do. Whatever you think they'll like, just do it. Just don't fuck it up otherwise you'll never live it down, I'll make sure of it." Johnny winked and smiled as Adam shook his head and brought him in for a hug.

"Thanks, Johnny. Now I have to do the hard bit and try and hide everything from mum." At that moment, Jackie walked into the room and began to potter around. An evil smirk rested on Johnny's face and Adam knew exactly he was going to do. "Don't you fucking dare, Johnny."

Johnny wiggled his eyebrows and toddled over to Jackie. "Mum, I just thought I'd tell you this because Adam wasn't going to.... He's going to propose to Y/N. Bye!"

Johnny ran out of the room and left Adam fending for himself against his mother. "I HATE YOU, PISSFACE!"

Lots of fluff preferably! Thanks so much 💜 ~🐝

Things Don't Always Go According to Plan

Pairing: Jonny Goodman x reader

AN: Sorry this took me so long to write Tumblr deleted all of the work I had done so I had to rewrite it all. Also, I changed the ask just a bit so that the reader is Jim’s niece and because I came up with a really funny antic I wanted to include.

It was once again time for the winter holidays, which means that more of your boyfriend’s crazy family is in town. You and Jonny had been dating for quite a while but had yet to tell either or your families; maybe because your uncle is infatuated with his mum. You both had tried announcing the news but nothing ever seemed to go as planned (where would the fun in that be?) so you came to the agreement that the upcoming holidays would be the best time.

On Christmas Eve you had gone over to Jonny’s flat to go over the plan one last time but you both got carried away, as usual, once you made dinner together and opened a bottle of wine and eventually moved onto something stronger after realizing what you were getting yourselves into the next day. The next morning you both woke up with hangovers and decided to take your time eating breakfast and getting ready for the day. As Jonny made breakfast for you both, you were relieved when you remembered that you had left clothes at his flat because your clothes from the night before where in no condition to be worn before washing again having been strewn across the bedroom the night prior.

You both had been enjoying a nice quiet breakfast when it had to been interrupted by a call from none other than Jonny’s annoying older brother Adam. All you heard from the other room was “You shit head! Don’t you dare tell mum!” Before Jonny came bursting back into the kitchen where you were cleaning up. “We need to go, Adam is going to tell my mum that I got drunk last night and that now I’m really hungover.” He told you.

“You know, he’s not wrong. But it probably is a good idea. My uncle Jim just texted me, it’s just a jumble of letters that I can’t understand, but still a good idea.” You tell him before you both rush out the door to Jonny’s car.

Jonny drops you off at your Uncle Jim’s house so that no one suspects anything but before you leave you remind him “Text whenever you think it best for me to head over and I’ll sneak out so your mum doesn’t have to deal with my crazy uncle yeah?”

“Of course. Love you!” He tells you before you kiss goodbye and go your separate ways for the time being.

When you step inside the house you are surprised that Wilson is not running to greet you and that you have to go find your uncle. “Uncle Jim! Where are you?” You call out.

“Ah Y/N. We’re in the kitchen. Wilson has been drinking again.”

“You can’t keep letting Wilson drink. Alcohol can be poisonous for dogs.” You say, annoyed having already had this conversation before.

“I know, he’s just too fast for me.” Jim says after flinching away from Wilson who turned to look at him.

“Ok, why don’t you just move it to one of the higher cupboards so he can’t reach it.” You suggest.

“That is a lovely idea. We should go tell Jackie about it!”

“Maybe later? I have to go get ready to meet some friends in a little bit.” You say as you head upstairs to your room.

By the time you finish up getting ready, working on some assignments for Uni, head back down stairs, and hear from Jonny, Jim and Wilson are no where to be found. You figure that they are probably out for a walk again so you head down the street to the Goodman’s house.

You ring the doorbell and you are almost immediately greeted by Jackie. “Hello, love! How are you doing? Would you like to pop in for a moment? Jonny told us you might be stopping by.”

“Thank you so much Jackie. I’m doing well so far today. Has my Uncle Jim been by? He wasn’t at the house when I left.”

“Well, we haven’t seen him in the past hour but that means that he is probably due to pop round soon. Why don’t you come through and meet everyone. Maybe you’ll even get to meet Jonny’s mystery girlfriend. He said she’s stopping by today!”

You give an awkward chuckle as Jackie leads you to the living room where you immediately notice Jonny’s new jumper with a winged cow on it? “Lovely jumper Jonny. I think it’s the best looking one you own.”

“Ha ha, very funny. I’m sure if Mum knew you were coming by you would have one too.”

You give a laugh and go sit next to Jonny while he gives Adam his present. When Adam opens his gift all of the leftover spaghetti from the previous night spills onto his trousers.

“Jonny, are those the leftovers from last night?” You ask.

“It sure is! Skill!”

“That’s why you had us make extra.” You said before you realized what it meant.

You and Jonny both freeze, realizing what you both just revealed.

“Wait, what did you just say?” Adam asked with a sly smile, knowing what he just discovered.

“Nothing.” You and Jonny say very quickly, trying to cover what you just let slip.

“No, you just said that you were together last night!” Jackie said, getting more excited. “What happened? Are you two dating? Is she the mysterious girlfriend you’ve been talking about Jonny? This is so wonderful!”

Before either you or Jonny could respond Martin butted in. “Is anyone going to take that?” He said gesturing to the pasta still in Adam’s lap. “No? I’ll take it then.”

“Pigs, all of you.” Martin’s mother comments.

“Jon Jon, answer your mother’s questions.” Nellie reminds.

“Ugh fine.” Jonny says, looking over at you to make sure you were ok with the information he was about to disclose. You nod in confirmation. “Yes, we’re dating. Yes, she’s the girl I told you about and as you can see she is very much real. We were going to tell you today which is why she came over last night for dinner.”

After Jonny finishes his “speech” his mum and grandma swarm the two of you to give you hugs and kisses. Adam of course joins in just to annoy Jonny.

Maybe just to ruin the moment Martin’s mother butts in again. “Has anyone seen Budiseer since I let her outside?”

Everyone turns around to look out the window.

“Yeah, Grandma. She’s fine. She’s outside with Wilson? Watching her from behind?” Adam says, getting more concerned the more he sees.

“Oh great.” You say.

But... you meet him anyway

Being raised 'properly" as your grandfather would call it

This meant having manners and being very smart for example getting a scholarship for a 'fancy' private school and being top of your class

Always going round to his house every week

You was one of the only people he had a good side for (although he always has something to say about your outfits)

Very often getting told about his button company

Him always insisting on introducing you to people

"And this is my wonderful granddaughter (y/n), one of the only people in this world who was raised with real etiquette and respect."

That’s how bad you thought it was

He could go on about you for hours

Nelly adoring you

Like omg she loves you so much

Coming with Nelly and your grandfather to meet the Goodman's

Jackie being surprised when she sees you, not expecting a relative of Mr Morris to be so well brought up and polite.

She also may have attempted to try and get you together with Adam or Johnny but Mr Morris shut that down real quick

Martin being like:

"How can a girl like her be related to a bloody man like THAT!?”

Probably being asked what you grandfather's intentions were towards Nelly

Apologising for him when he gets into a fight with the Goodmans

Being shocked when he proposes to Nelly

Warning Nelly not to marry him

You knew that she would regret it if she did

"Nelly honey, if you know whats good for you, you will NOT marry my grandfather. It will ruin your life."

Helping Nelly come up with a plan to not marry your grandfather

Being a bridesmaid at the wedding

Going into the ambulance with the Goodmans when Nelly 'collapsed’

Cheering when Nelly announces that she will not be marrying your grandfather

After the wedding you moved out and moved in with the Goodman's

Calling Nelly 'grandma' from now on

Keeping in contact with Mr Morris but not seeing him as much

heya, i really like all your fan fictions and i was wondering if you could do another johnny goodman x reader where the reader is val’s daughter?? you can do any plot line you like i just think it could be a good concept :)

A/N- I did a blurb because I’m lazy, there is a small fix coming soon (hopefully) that’s of Jonny x reader meeting for the first time since childhood :)

Let’s begin.

Obviously out of you, Adam and Jonny- Adam was the oldest.

You were born 5 months after Jonny- making you the youngest.

Something that Jonny takes great joy in reminding you of

“I’m literally less than half a year younger than you it’s not that much of a gap.”

“Aw wittle baby Y/N- OW”

Because you’re Val’s daighter, you grew up calling Jackie your aunty and Martin your uncle.

Speaking of which you and Martin have a special bond.

He never mentions it- but he always did want a daughter, someone who he could be fiercely protective of.

So when you came along- with no dad- it seemed like a god given gift.

Val and Jackie were always annoyed because you preferred your uncle Martin to them.

Whenever the Goodman’s babysat you as a small baby, you’d always end up sharing a crib with Jonny

There are so many pictures of you both cuddled up, fast asleep when you were babies

You took your first steps together too

Only then to be knocked over by Adam who was jealous of the lack of attention

Adam was definitely like your big brother

Like he would tease the shit out of you. But if someone else did it- then so help them god.

But also like not really because he’s a midget

At age 4 you and Jonny got “married” in the back garden with Adam as the rabbi.

“Are you sure you don’t want to marry me?”

“Stop it Adam- Shes my girlfriend!”

Adams always sort of been the third wheel- like he’s just always be that.

And then you finally started at primary school.

On the first day you and Jonny walked in dressed up in your uniforms and holding hands

And even though you both made new friends- you were still each other’s best friends

And that carried on all through highschool

Even when you both got your first boyfriends and girlfriend

Despite the fact that you both felt suuuuper jealous whenever you saw eachother with different people

And then the so called ‘blessing in disguise’ (as called by Jackie and your mum) occurred

Which was basically the time when you were both at Uni that you got suuuper pissed at freshers week and shared your first kiss

As well as another first ;)

Don’t worry you guys wore a sheath

Cue waking up in the morning with a lack of clothes, hungover and completely and utterly mortified

Why was it a blessing you may ask: because it finally got you both to start admitting your feelings for eachother

Aka it kickstarted your relationship off.

And from then on out you started getting even closer

Until eventually he just cracked.

During a Friday night dinner

In front of everyone

“I love you.”

And you just sort of looked at him in shock

As he scarpered as far away as he could

Which of course meant you racing after him

“Oh good- more scraps for me then!”

“Martin!”

You found him outside attempting to unlock his car- which obviously refused to open.

“J, for the love of god- WAIT.”

“What?”

“You never gave me a chance to say it back- I love you too, more than friends and I have for a while.”

“You’re taking pity on me.”

CUE KISS

“Okay maybe you weren’t”

“You know I wasn’t.”

From then on you too began dating

It wasn’t long before you guys both moved in together

And even though you loved your mum, you decided to wait a little while before breaking the news.

Because we all know how dramatic she is.

You guys have such stupid convos about the most random things

“J, what would your weapon of choice be in a zombie apocalypse?”

“The power of love- As long as I’ve got you by my side I’ll be okay-“

“So you’d basically just kamikaze? Hmm interesting...”

That was one of the best parts of your relationship.

It was light, happy and you could joke with one another.

You managed to convince him to get a control tattoo

Which makes Jackie a lot happier

Also can I just say your sex life would be amazing like hot damn

Description: Y/N and Johnny have stayed the night at the house and are trying to have a peaceful morning. 

Your eyes fluttered open to see warm sunshine sifting in through the gap in the curtains. Smiling, you turned around to face Johnny only to see him staring straight back at you. “Good morning, beautiful.” He leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to your lips. “Good morning, handsome.”  

A warm smile graced his features as he stared at you, taking in every detail as if it was going to be for the last time. You stayed like that for a while, just staring at each other until your grumbling stomach cut the moment short. A small giggle escaped your lips. “My body’s telling me I’m hungry.”

“Well, I would’ve had breakfast ready for you, but you were sleeping on my arm and I didn’t want to wake you.” Just as you were about to go in for a kiss, Jackie opened the door and walked straight inside without a thought and began opening the curtains.

“Mum! What do you think you’re doing?!” Johnny covered the both of you with the duvet whilst you tried to stifle your laughter. Jackie turned around and gave a smile. “Oh, Johnny boo, you needed to get up out of bed. It’s getting late.” She then walked back out of the room without closing the door.

Johnny let out a frustrated groan before getting out of the bed and closing the door. You turned towards the bedside table to take a look at the clock. “Er, Johnny. It’s only 8.30. Why does your mother think that it’s getting late?” Johnny got back into bed and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest.

“She is set on a completely different time frame than anybody else in the world. It drives me mad. Sometimes, I don’t know how I coped growing up here.” You giggled at Johnny’s comments before you turned around in his arms to get out of the bed. When Johnny knew what you were trying to do, he tightened his grip around you.

“Where do you think you’re going?” You fought as hard as you could, whilst laughing, but no luck. “I need to go to the toilet, let me go!” Johnny pulled you back towards him and nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck. “No, you can’t get up! You’re my prisoner for today.”

You shook your head at his silliness but eventually stopped fighting and cuddled back into him, resting your head on his chest. “I wish we could stay like this all day.” A small, happy sigh left your lips. Johnny wiggled his eyebrows. “I know, but my mum’s going to be back up soon so, we best make the most of the time we have alone.”

Description: Johnny is bringing Y/N to the house for Friday Night Dinner.

“I cannot believe you talked me into this.”

You and Johnny were travelling to his parents house for Friday Night Dinner. His mum had been nagging Johnny to bring you to dinner. He had been begging you for weeks to come along with him, but each time you said no.

“I don’t know, Johnny. Your mum seems kinda overbearing.” Johnny turned to you and batted his eyelashes as a ploy to weaken you and change your decision. You felt a smile creep up on your face and tried to fight it off, but failed. “Damn you, Johnathan Goodman. Alright, I’ll go” He lept up from his space on the couch and engulfed you in a hug.

Johnny parked the car in the driveway of the house as you peered over towards the window. You could see the curtains twitching slightly and you rolled your eyes. “Johnny, your mums already watching us from the window. I bet in at least 5 seconds, the front door will open and she’ll be standing there.” Both of you sat in the car and counted down the seconds and, sure enough, within 5 seconds the door was opened and Jackie Goodman stood in the doorway with a large smile on her face and arms outstretched.

“Johnny boo!” You and Johnny both walked towards the house, hands intertwined. He leaned in for the hug and stepped back, smiling widely. “Mum, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is my mum. I really do hope that You’ll get along.” And with that Johnny sped away inside the house, leaving you and Jackie standing in front of each other in the doorway.

“Fuck sake, Johnny. I’m gonna kill you!” You began to mumble under your breath whilst Jackie was stood staring and smiling at you. You flashed her an awkward smile before walking past Jackie and into the house.

Let the madness begin….

About 5 minutes after you arrived, Johnny and Adam were already at each others throats. “Piss ofF, Johnny!” Johnny was currently chasing Adam around the living room table with a fish. “C’mon, Pussface. You knew you like it!” The two of them carried on running around the table until you stuck your foot out and Johnny went flying into the wall, causing a slight dent where he hit his head.

Adam doubled over laughing at the misfortune of his brother, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. “That’s what you get, Pissface!” He turned to you and stuck his hand out for you to shake. “Thank you for beating my brothers arse. He really deserved it. I’m Adam.” You smiled widely before shaking his outstretched hand. “I’m Y/N.” Adam smiled before making his way to the kitchen. “I really think you're going to fit in around here.”

The next task to try and overcome was the actual dinner. You had heard stories about these dinners and the pranks that the brothers play on each other, and you could say that you weren’t really looking forward to it.

“Thanks to you Johnathan I’ve had to throw away my fish so instead I’ve cooked a roast.” Jackie narrowed her eyes at her son who was currently trying to shake salt into his brothers water. Johnny flashed her a cheeky smile before ruffling Adams hair and spilling his water into Adams lap. “Johnny! You dick!”

You muffled a laugh as Adam stood up from the table and revealed a large water patch on the crotch of his pants. Across the table, Jackie was whacking Martin upside the head as he said something about Adam wetting his pants. Johnny looked around at you beside him and gave you a heart-warming smile, grabbing your hand underneath the table.

Your face flushed a slight tint of pink as Johnny pecked you on your cheek, earning an “awww” from Jackie. Adam was still upstairs changing a few minutes later and an idea popped into your head as you spotted the salt in the middle of the table. Johnny had told you about all the times he had poured salt into Adams water. You reached over and grabbed the salt with your free hand, pouring the remnants of it into his water.

Johnny watched your actions and smiled to himself. “I really have taught you well haven’t I babe?” You flashed a wide smile in his direction and waited patiently for Adam to come back into the room and take his seat.

Excitement coarsed through your veins as Adam took his seat once again and took a swig of his water, which then got sprayed all over Jackie and Martin. “ADAM! What are you doing?!” “You stupid pillock!” Adam turned around to face the two of you, frustration evident on his features. 

“Which one of you was it, hmm?” You tried to keep a straight face, but the expression on Adams face was making it hard for you. You slowly raised your hand with a cheesy smile. “Sorry, Adam.” He shook his head at you before tucking into his dinner. You and Johnny both turned to face each other and high five before settling into your dinner. “You’re going to fit right in with this family, babe.”

The rest of the night went by quick and you could confidently say that you thoroughly enjoyed yourself. As you and Johnny made your way towards the front door, he stopped you and took your hands in his. “Johnny? What’s wrong?” Johnny took a deep breath before looking down at you, love and adoration in his eyes.

“Thank you for tonight, Y/N. I know that you didn’t really want to come, but I’m really glad that you did.” You smiled up at Johnny and opened your mouth to say something but Johnny cut you off. “Seeing you here tonight, with my family, it’s made me realise something. I think I’m falling in love with you.”

You looked up at Johnny with tears in your eyes. He wasn’t really one for talking about his feelings so what he just said meant a lot to you. Standing up on your tiptoes, you placed a passionate kiss on his lips, pouring all of your feelings into it. “I know I’ve fallen in love with you, Johnny.”

Jealousy doesn’t suit you.

This was not how Y/N was expecting her Saturday night to go. Comforting an extremely drunk Adam at the front door of his parents home at 1 in the morning.

“Why am I so alone?” The older Goodman blubbered, “Why did Emma have to leave me?” Adam sobbed drunkenly.

Y/N awkwardly patted her soon to be brother in law on the back, “You’ll find someone Ad, it’s just a matter of time until you find someone new.”

The flow of tears steadied for a moment before continuing, “No!” He declared, “I’m unlovable- if Emma left me then so will everyone else.” Adam began banging his head on the front door loudly as the young woman tried to interfere and stop the loud and steady thunks from continuing.

“Adam there’s plenty of fish in the sea, you’ll find someone.”

“Fish!” Adam wailed, “Emma loved fish!” He stuffed his head into his hands a cried out loud, “I’ll end up like Jim forever alone and lusting on my neighbours.”

Y/N really didn’t know what to do. The only people she was used to comforting was Jonny, her girlfriends and occasionally her nieces- all of which she could cuddle with to stop their sadness.

But Adam was far from any of those people- especially a piss drunk Adam.

Against her better judgment, Y/N leant in and embraced her blubbering friend.

“Adam,” she comforted, “It will all work out , I promise.”

“But-“ He sniffled.

“No Ad,” y/n interrupted him, “you are smart, handsome, kind and anyone would be lucky to have you as their boyfriend.”

“Y/N?” Shit. This probably didn’t look too good.

“Hi babe,” she sprung to her feet at the sound of her fiancee’s voice.

Y/N was well aware that to Jonny it probably looked as if she was cuddling up to his older brother.

“What’s?” Jonny motioned to his brother who looked as if he was about to pass out cold.

“He got drunk over Emma, I found him wandering the streets on my way home from work.” The young woman tried to explain.

“Right,” Jonny raised an eyebrow, “let’s just get him inside the house.” He suggested as he took one side of his brother and heaved him up to his feet.

Together they dragged the short, dark haired man into the Goodman’s house and left him on the sofa to fall asleep.

After writing a short note to Jackie and Martin to explain what had happened, Y/N and Jonny decided it was time to head home.

All Y/N wanted to do was go home to her nice warm bed, but she knew she’d have to endure the car ride back first.

“I should probably explain.” Y/N sank into the passenger seat, her jaw clenched due to anxiety, “I know that you walking in on Adam hanging off of me doesn’t give the best impression.”

Jonny just stared ahead, his hand white knuckling the steering wheel.

“It’s fine, it’s a free country you can do what you want- it’s not my business what you get up to.” His response was so short and cold, it didn’t even sound like the Jonny that Y/N knew.

“Jonny, for fucks sake it’s not that big of a deal.”

“To you maybe.” He retorted under his breath.

Y/N was once again rendered silent at his response.

“Oh my god!” She turned to him, “You’re bloody jealous.” Y/N began giggling loudly, while Jonny grumbled to himself.

“I’m not.” He insisted as he shook his head.

Y/N however wasn’t at all convinced, she just stared at him- an eyebrow raised as Jonny parked the car in the apartments car park.

She took the opportunity to lean closer to the man on the other side of the car.

Jonny obviously felt insecure and jealous, Y/N raised a hand to the side of his face and kissed him softly.

The kiss was full of love, tenderness and care.

“Jonny- I need you to know,” Y/N whispered out loud, “Because I know your jealous, even if you say you aren’t.” She caressed the sides of his face again, “I love you- and only you. You’re the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, the one I want to raise a family with. You’re the one. Not Adam, not any other man- it’s you. It will always be you.”

Jonny sighed deeply as he pressed his forehead against hers, Y/N could see the seeds of doubt slowly start to deteriorate as he took in her words.

“You’ll even love me when I become a bloody nutter like my dad?” He joked, grinning widely, “hairy chest and all?”

Y/N giggled again, “Yes Jonny, I’ll love you forever- hairy bloody chest and all.”
