In my mind some of these are actually or probably connected but for now and the sake of simplicity it’s staying separate lol

Personaly I like having Casket Mama Ghost and Peewee all be together, Peewee taking the Ghost surname, and making Ghost sr. and Peewee the same person

I jest I jest— but okay so. Family consists of Timothy/Tommy Casket, Mama (Phasma?) Ghost, and Peewee/Johnny Ghost… probably more like Johnathan “Peewee” Ghost senior, like he got a nickname at some point (probably cuz they have a kid with his name eventually..) with Mama Ghost being the first one with the Ghost surname.

I genuinely love that tbh. Feels like a trifecta. I feel like I could assign each parent a different piece of the triforce (with varying levels of accuracy). I also like what I already have so I’m probably gonna keep messing with it to see if I want to keep it as is, but I’m definitely pocketing this for an au where his parents aren’t dead as hell so we can actually see them interacting.

This also hopefully implies that CBF’s bullshit didn’t get anyone killed bc I usually hc that they didn’t immediately go after CBF after it kidnapped like a five year old bc Timothy got the dead. Now instead they’re tearing up the east coast trying to find a baby— but I suppose… if the three are together and possibly more than one is into the whole ~paranormal investigation~ thing (and we don’t consider CBF’s origins being bc it’s toast or bc it was made by Billy… something new entirely!) CBF going for Gregory could have been targeted.

Also gives the Housekeeper and Ghost something in common since the housekeeper is also a child of a polyamorous relation… it’s just that their parents were in the double digits and also eldritch gods. But if you take the wiki seriously Timothy was also a model so. Same difference right—

i would love to know your personal VT canon specifically the p.i.e stuff!!! im so interested, your art and designs that ive seen are outstanding and i find it hilarious that both of us seriously just looked at vt and went 'yup this is mine now' and SPRINTED with it. i love that everyone in one way or another, seems to be putting new life into something that holds a place in a lot of peoples hearts and i wish there were more of us

So I’ll gladly give little dribbles about each of the P.I.E. members! Hopefully without doing too much.

[Uhm. Hi, I’m who is like to call “post-post” Miles here to say this was going to be a bulletin post, but turned into a brief rundown of my P.I.E. lore… so… yes]

Johnny “Simon Casket” Ghost was born in 1990 to Gregory and Stacie Casket. They developed DID after their mother’s death (and other… inciting traumas) forming the alters Gregory and Johnny. Simon was AFAB but he and Johnny both identify as male. Gregory prefers to ‘not identify’.

Simon was sent to live with their grandparents, but along the way was stranded in North Carolina where they were then found by an off-duty officer. They lied about where their grandparent’s apartment complex was and managed to run away until eventually being found in an abandoned house, luckily before it was to be demolished.

They were then adopted by Timothy Woods and fiancée, at the time, so technically Johnny Ghost’s legal name is Simon Woods. He insists everyone calls him, at the very least, Johnny.

He met Toast around middle school and they were close up until high school, when Toast was sent to boarding school, where they remained penpals. During Ghost’s school years alone, he would meet Katrina, and though his memories of her are very hazy he remembers she was important, just not what happened to her or why they stopped talking.

Ghost worked what jobs he could to support himself and his parents throughout his school career, keeping in mind college and his dream of being a paranormal investigator. This barely slowed down in college, where he and Toast attended the same university.

After college, Ghost and Toast officially form P.I.E. previously known as just P.I. … Ghost was ecstatic to be able to add “extraordinaire,” to their acronym.

The only members at this time were Ghost, Toast and his fiancée at the time, Mary.

Johnathan Toast and Gavin Toast were both born in 1988 to Johnathan Toast Sr. (A very funny name,) and their yet-to-be-named mother. Their father died when they were both five leaving them, their grandmother, and their mom with a newborn, Audrey.

Three years later, their mother was arrested leaving the kids with their grandmother until they were eventually separated, none of them able to keep in contact with one another until later in life. Audrey went on to become a police officer, Gavin did his best to continue his father’s research, and Toast went into paranormal investigation.

With his fiancée and best friend, the first few years were easy- as easy as ghosts and demons are. Those years had a very notable turning point when Mary died in a car accident, not long after being married to Toast. It sent a spiral through the entire organization until it very nearly fell apart. P.I.E. ended up closing up, only responding to cases that could be handled by one person without issue. Ghost had to start working more part times again while Toast did his best to keep himself and the company going.

Eventually they had to shut down completely, with Toast out of action and Ghost barely keeping himself together between taking care of his friend, working, and his own mental health. Luckily, they did manage to reopen, and Toast did heal.

He and Ghost worked together to finish the books they were writing before the “break,” adding to and outselling their previously published works. This is a very tangential point in the timeline, but I just really like to think about them both putting work behind the published books. Ghost wrote most of it and created illustrations to go with it and Toasted edited, revised, and added to it.

I don’t know how to say this without it being very sudden and without saying too much.

The P.I.E HQ burns down. Which sucks on its own, but sucks double hard because Toast and Ghost were literally living in their HQ in the apartment upstairs and basement.

Good news! After it burns down and they’re both thrown back into having to scrape up money to keep the business up, they end up hiring help.

With a new, smaller, office building as a constant between Ghost and Toast’s many hotel rooms before finding a shitty apartment, and the extra work they have to put in to keep things afloat, they can’t always go on missions together.

So, when Ghost was being taken to his next hunt, his all-too-friendly driver couldn’t help but notice his equipment and offer a helping hand… and Ghost couldn’t refuse, no matter how much he really earnestly wanted to, because he quite literally could not carry in his equipment alone.

What Ghost thought would just be a random dude helping set up his things turned into a very eager want to be hunter following his heels through the building until he, surprising everyone involved, was hired.

Hello, Collin!

Collin’s introduction to the team is very much the same. Ghost’s driver who was roped in to help then ended up sticking around. But they’re different because they’re actually my OC, I don’t know if you knew.

Collin Rose, born 1994, with two older siblings and one younger sister, as well as their half brother, Spencer (another story of its own…) was always skeptical of the paranormal, but it wasn’t until they were out on their own in North Carolina that they really started to invest in the idea, though never acting on it.

They offer a really fresh coat of paint, if you would, to P.I.E. bringing their own life experiences and completely different view of the world to help influence their investigating. They’re easy to teach, but still manage to get on Ghost’s nerves… which isn’t very surprising, since that is not hard.

Don’t know where else to put this, but then joining P.I.E. is what brings back the, albeit cosmetic, title of “P.I.” … which sounds exactly the same as PIE, so means nothing to anyone but the members of PIE. It’s on the badge, though!

Now Fred!!

Frederick “Fred,” Hart, [very surprised I don’t have a birth year for him], “Fred,” to all but his mother, who calls him “Derrick.”

Fred wasn’t raised with a particular set of spiritual world views, so he grew up as a kid wholly obsessed with the idea of ghosts just based on the fact that they’re really cool.

Of course, that kind of belief never really taught him how dangerous ghouls could really be so they’re, reasonably, afraid of actual ghosts. Still, that didn’t stop him from running straight to send in an application when he saw PIE was hiring.

He had been watching them for a while. There was a local news segment done about them years ago that Fred still has recorded somewhere. That’s what really sent him into dreaming about being just like the ghost hunters on TV.

He went into PIE with an air of idolization towards Ghost and Toast but was quickly disillusioned when he was a part of the team. Ghost was rude and Toast was different than what he imagined. Ghosts and demons were terrifying and didn’t just push glasses around and make things creak. It was disheartening until he started seeing past the crushed expectations and to how Ghost and Toast were… just some guys. He’d see Ghost sneak a few doughnuts Collin brought for everyone and he’d watch Toast spill the coffee he was trying to bring to Collin, and everything just becomes a lot more real and a lot less scary.

… and also PIE gave him the nickname Spooker, which he cherishes with everything he is. Only second to Ghost, specifically, calling him “Spooks,”

And then Ghost leaves without any notice.

This post is already way longer than I wanted it to be, so I’ll just say very quickly that Ghost’s “retirement arc,” happens maybe a month or two after Fred’s hiring and it causes a big shift in how PIE operates. They very nearly go under again while Toast tries to be a boss while also trying to be nice, while also doing his best to train two new hires in a dangerous field on his own, all after his best friend abandoned him. xoxo

If this is incomprehensible, I’m so sorry. I really care about what I’ve made in my head and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little defense about sharing it all. But there are story arcs that tie everything together better than this post can.

Important to note that Jimmy is still a thing, I just didn’t mention him for the sake of simplicity. In my “mind place,” he is a demon that is haunting Ghost. He is NOT an alter.

Simon and Gregory, both Ghost’s actual alters, are not evil. They don’t kill, they don’t try and hurt people, they are themselves.

And, yes, the Spencer mentioned is Spencer Acachalla. His name is now Spencer Atkinson but the Atkinsons are a very different story.

It did, and she was a frequent partner of his in the field. He said she reminded him of one of his brothers who died long before he had kids.

Brittney Colt (Mother): Amy loves her mom and they try to make a point of going out and spending alone time together. Brittney instilled a love of thrifting in Amy, and is trying to teach her how to sew to customize her finds.

Blaine Colt (Half-Brother): Blaine and Amy’s relationship has its ups and downs. Sometimes Blaine is just her boss who thinks she is incompetent, but then he goes and does something incredibly sweet and protective. It can be frustrating, especially when he doubts her choices or calls in the field. 

Elle Colt (Half-Sister): Elle has been her best friend since she could remember. They tell each other everything, and are thick as thieves. She also treats her like a fully functioning adult, unlike her other older brothers, who see her as a dummy in distress. 

Colin Colt (Half-Brother): Amy once thought of Colin only as her sweet, less controlling brother. Then a deal went bad, and Colin swooped in to save her. She’d never seen anything more terrifying. His anger was like a bomb exploding. No one but him and her was left alive. It’s changed their relationship slightly, and she’s learned to be much safer with business dealings from there on out. 

Alice Colt (Sister): Alice is like a little Blaine, but with less real life and people experience. She is technically very skilled, but Amy wonders how she can possibly keep it up forever without cracking. Alice made it clear she wanted little to do with any of the women in the Colt family once she grew up, and Amy is abiding by that wish.

Casper Colt (Brother): Amy feels bad for Casper. She knows what it’s like to be the screw up kid in the older siblings’ eyes. She doesn’t think he’ll ever make it to Hunter status, so she tries to cheer him up with experimental weapon purchases and interesting new tech.

Tyler Evans (Ex-Fiancé): Tyler ran when he found out the truth about supernaturals. He completely destroyed Amy's faith in humans and the thought of inviting them into hunter families. Tyler has tried to contact her multiple times after he was relocated but Amy has closed that chapter of her life and is ready to move on.

Jonathan McCall (Ex-Boyfriend): They dated for a few months before he disappeared. Blaine later confessed that he had to take care of Johnathan after finding out he posted her nudes online. Blaine thankfully hasn’t shared the mishap with anyone and Amy claims he cheated. (This was before Amy met Tyler) 

Platonic Connections:

Megan Colt (Cousin): Amy and Megan both love dressing up and will hit thrift stores and consignment shops when they have time away. Megan is the only Colt that is willing to spend the whole day at the Underground Flea Market with Amy. Megan was like a second sister, and completes her and Elle’s relationship well. 

Iris Colt (Cousin): Iris is Amy’s paintballing and karaoke partner for life. She loves having girl time with her cousins after a long hunt or difficult dealing. 

Hailey Colt (Cousin): Amy sees potential in Hailey and has been pushing to have Hailey shadow her in order to become a dealer. Unlike most people in their family, Hailey is easy to talk to and people tend to gravitate towards her. 

D.W Colt  (Sister-In-Law): Amy was surprised when Colin brought home D.W. She avoids Amy like a plague and Amy does not know why. Imani and Alice seem to distrust her and slowly the same distrust is stepping into Amy. She had complained to Colin once but after he snapped at her, she has kept her doubts to herself. Amy has tried to engage D.W time and time again and is giving up.

Imani Anderson (Sister-In-Law): Imani is a great addition to their family. Amy should not have, but she took a lot of joy in watching Imani keep Blaine on his toes before granting him her full attention. Imani has brought fresh ideas to the table and newer contacts. Imani, Elle and Megan are the only ones who know about her supernatural friends. Amy trusts her with the secret. 

Vincent Kane (Acquaintance): Amy knows Vincent probably stole his form from someone else but Amy finds him very attractive. Just like Winston, when Douglas introduced them years ago Vincent was hesitant. He pulled her aside once and told her to leave. Amy showed up the following week and tried to out drink him. Unlike Douglas and Winston, Amy is never relaxed too much around Vincent.

Douglas Gish (Friend): Amy thinks Douglas is a blast, and a wonderful drinking buddy. He always pays, but Amy tries never to lose her head to the alcohol. Amy knows she cannot fully trust him and remembers that she kills and harvests his species. When they are together Amy tries to keep her ears open but is not actively hunting or listening for information to use against him and his clan.

Winston Abioye (Acquaintance): Douglas introduced Amy to Winston years ago but he seemed uninterested in her. Lately, after Winston breakup or divorce, he seems a little more relaxed and willing to strike up conversations with her.

Aleksander Mazur (Acquaintance): Amy thinks that Aleksander is hot and if she were human, she would have allowed him to give her the bite or rolled in the sheets with him. They harmless flirt with each other when she is with Fi.  

Fiona ‘Fi’ Marz (Friend): During a really bad tornado, Amy took an anonymous order for animal shifter and human shifter blood. Her contact turned out to be a vampire, Fi Mazur. Unlike the Anderson family, Amy had never dealt with dealing with Supernaturals. She chose to continue the deal instead of killing Fi. They continued to deal like this for bad thunderstorms and tornadoes. Fi and Amy eventually became friends. Amy is unsure how Blaine or the others will react.

Petra Chak (New Friend): Fi introduced Amy to Petra. They are quickly becoming friends. While Fi tried to keep her away from most of the vampires, Fi has encouraged her to trust Petra, who is apparent in her thousands.

Ah icic. Yeah I don't think there's any problem with him having more than one dad, and I feel like I've heard of other headcanons similar to this. Him having a dad who dies and a mom who remarries, or what have you.

I've just never really been interested in any of the other mentioned father figures of Ghost, so it's always just been Timothy for me. That one video with CBF and the umbrella grafitti really changed my brain chemistry ig LMAOOOO.

I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on his dads though if you'd like to share! Same for anyone else :3

ghosts dads poll anon, honestly so fair (tbh i think stuff with timothy is cool even if its not my hc) tbh im not too attached to ghosts dads lol more ghosts mom (also the problem thing isnt about you or anyone specific its just people used to treat the idea of ghost having more than one dad as ridiculous and i cant help but think about it when ghosts dads get brought up (sorry if it sounded like i was accusing you of having a problem with it))

Just some Casket Family/Strive SMP lore bull-honkey. (Very serious and important!! Lmao)

Also VenturianTale didn’t give us much about Ghost’s mom… but like an inconsistent number of dad’s lmao. I think it’s obvious why they didn’t give a shit about his mom. But. Whatever. Leaves more room for me.

(I think Timothy is the birth father, Pewie is the Adoptive father that died early on and the weird uncreative “Johnathan Ghost sr.” Characters were just imaginary fathers little Johnny Ghost made up to cope with the fact he had a lack of a father figure. And daydreamed them being ghost hunters and stuff.)

I also feel like it’s hinted that Ghost’s adoptive mother was probably a dick (in the Johnny Ghost is Back) video. Maybe she became a grouch after losing Pewie. Also I feel like Pewie was like the sweetest man ever and probably would’ve been a really good dad to Ghost but died before they truly bonded. :(

Then Ghost’s birth mom. Uhm. Yeah didn’t have a lot to go with other than intuition and the visions/hj AND DREAMS! But. I do call his birth Mom Leslie. Idk why, but it fits her.

And then there’s Frank. Uhm. Don’t worry about that/hj (unless you really want to hear about it, just know it’s a Strive SMP thing but it is canon to my take on VenturianTale now for a variety of reasons xD)

I will say it can be very traumatizing to separate twins at a young age and can have lasting effects. :’) (which makes Cardboard Friend make even more sense to me ngl) (also Johnny Ghost and Johnny Toast just immediately latch onto each other really sad, wholesome, but also kinda funny so good for them.)
