i love the way you draw jsv he looks so polite. reminds me of a warm cup of (very green) soup
Thank you! I draw him smiling a lot while, when first conceptualizing him, me and my friend decided he must hate being alive since yk, being someone's literal double is a lot to live up to!
But as of recent he really just strikes me as a clueless, polite robo Jon, if not probably hiding some nefarious plot to replace him or something. I dont really know! He has so much potential! Just a little guy really. I wonder if he eats cassette tape

HELLO. 1) WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF JSV? 2) IS THAT ALRIGHT IF I WRITE A FANFIC AND CREDIT YOU AS AN ISPIRATION? YOUR RECENT JON SHAPED VIRUS ROBOT GORE ART MADE ME THINK OF A COOL IDEA FOR A FIC. sorry for caps I'm excited.
HELLO! 1. JSV isn't my lone creation! Barely even mine. My good friend Everett originally made it in response to an ongoing inside joke that is so complex and odd I don't trust myself to lay it all out here, but he has no REAL set-in-stone lore, more of a concept I got obsessed with drawing I actually feel a little bad for getting so obsessed with this guy who was meant to be a goof lmao Everett herself said I could share her original drawing (left) and a new set made specifically for you guys (right), so here's those!
2. We're both alright with it! I personally would absolutely love to read something like that so be sure to send a link through if you do! In closing, here's a message from Everett itself I've been asked to relay over

Hello! I hear you’re the resident Jon care expert, so I hope you have some advice for my current problem
I recently became the owner of a Jon. His adjustment to the new house went smoothly, making sure to keep his nest in a quiet, secure place in my library next to some tape recorders as advised. I’ve been noticing some strange behavior, though. He seems to be scared of my door
See, I thought he could be seeing Daisys outside, but I have paper cutout coffins near areas where they could nest to help deter them. It’s just so strange. He’ll come out of his nest for dinner, he’ll catch sight of the door and Bam! Full panic mode. Full threat displays with the eyes and everything
I obviously want to help my little guy, and I hate to see him so scared. Do you have any idea what it could be?
Hey, thank you for reaching out! I'm flattered to be considered a Jon Care expert! I really just came on here to dispell some common myths and to help other Jon carers on their journey, so I'm happy I can be seen as a reliable source of information. After all, caring for a Jon is tricky!
I'm terribly sorry to hear about this. Jons have a habit of having inane and strange stressors, so I can understand how concerned you may be. Daisy-proofing the area was smart, but it seems to me the issue might be doorway itself.
Certain Jons are more prone to this fear than others, and it's a difficult one to deal with because you can't exactly remove all your doors! My friend's Jon once had this issue, and this is what worked for them.
His fear doesn't lie in the actual door, but rather what might be behind it. Jons hate the unknown, especially in this manner. What they did was reassure their Jon what was behind it. Sit him near the door and open and close it a few times. Walk through it while he's looking, and invite him in and out so he knows its safe to use.
Associating the door with positive things like treats and play are also good ideas! Put statements on the other side of the threshold and coax him over. Make sure to be very soft and patient with him, as this tends to be a pretty intense fear.
After a while, he should stop fearing the door and might even scratch at it for more rewards (that happened to my friend's lol) either way, it can be fixed!
Do keep me updated on the training, much love and good luck!

hi there my good chum, ive been considering getting my own jon however i am a little unsure where to start with getting my own little guy. do you have any idea if jons are good with cats? i dont want him to get scared or get territorial... any advice greatly appreciated <333
Hi Harrow! Thank you for reaching out
In my experience Jons are very well suited for cats! But as always, make sure to introduce them slowly (letting them sniff each other through a door is always a good start)
If at any point your Jon begins to shiver/sprout eyes/make hissing or whining sounds make sure to remove him from the situation and put him somewhere safe. That means he feels threatened and/or uncomfortable
Introducing a Jon into your home (especially one with pets) can sometimes be tricky. Be sure to be patient and take plenty of time to tend to his needs. Remember, it's up to you to properly care for him and understand him!
Good luck if you decide to get one, and may he have a very happy home!

concept: jsv is an extinction avatar instead of an eye avatar. because of the computer motifs and whatnot
OOH I like that idea! I originally always thought of him as a stranger avatar considering the whole assimilating Jon's entire identity but wrong thing, but extinction also works well in that same metaphor, with real people being replaced by technology and such

Hi! New Jon owner here. See, this is entirely my fault for not considering this before getting a Jon, but is there anyway to prevent jontosis? Now while it would be nice to have a bunch of little Jons running around since they’re just so damn cute, I’m not in a place to afford care for more than one. I’m sure you get it, they’re so accident prone mine is constantly in and out of the vet. Though, this unfortunately has already happened to me once (I came home from work to find TWO Jons. Yeah). But if I can prevent it from happening again, if it happens more than once, that would be great!
Theres unfortunately no real way to stop it once its begun, but taking your Jon to a vet to get his eyes fixed will help! Its a painless and low risk procedure that will stop jontosis from occuring! Most Jons in shelters have already have had this procedure

hello, is ok if I use your jon art with credit on a post of mine (that's highly unlikely to get more than 50 notes)? very fun being into a series with literally zero official images of the characters lol, and I really like your version :3
Absolutely! I hear you on the no images struggle lol Would love to see the post!

Does JSV has a backstory ? Or did he just appear one day and started ruining people's lives ?
Also, are there some Martin, Tim pr Sasha shaped viruses as well ??
I'll refer you to another ask I answered just a bit ago here!, but short answer is he has no set backstory or lore, and is more just a joke character that I like drawing As for other Shaped Viruses, me and my friend haven't made any designs, but it's an interesting idea!

achhh i have a question regarding my jon!! i had an annabelle take nest a while ago (it was stressful for jon but i moved him to a friend's for a while while we removed the annabelle and shes' at a friend's while we figure out a living situation for her) and spiders are still popping up months later!! my jon has moved back in but keeps getting spooked :( should i get them exterminated or is there another way to get my jon to calm down? im worried exterminating them will upset my martin so im hesitant for now but would you say thats a good call?
Just in my personal opinion it would be, yeah. I don't live in an area where Annabelles tend to nest so unfortunately its not something i have much experience with </3 Im sure your Martin will be okay if you get rid of them though, and its better than subjecting your Jon to long amounts of stress! Thats my opinion, though, make sure you do research!

Hello! I know you tend to be the go-to for Jon care advice, but would you happen to know anything about Martins? My Martin has been exhibiting some strange behaviors recently— a week ago he started destroying anything paper he could access, and last night he managed to somehow turn on the stovetop and started burning my homework!! He got really spooked by the fire alarm going off, and we’re all safe and well, but I’m worried this might be a symptom of some illness? Is he not getting enough enrichment? Please send help!!
Thank you for reaching out! While I don't have a Martin of my own, I did do a lot of research about them, as I know they can be good companions for Jons.
It seems like what you might be experiencing here is a Martin's natural destruction of property phase. This is known as probably the most difficult part of Martin care, but the effects can be minimized!
These phases are usually brought about by minor stressors like a change in environment or unsatisfying enrichment time, and may seem disproportionate considering the effects they can cause.
Some easy ways to lessen the time it lasts and keep your Martin happy is getting him a companion of some sort (Jons and Tims work great! But Martins also do well with cats and dogs!), or spending extra time with him. Giving him faux important papers to tear is also good, and if you have the option, start a safe fire for him to burn them in. These actions ease his mind and keep him from destroying anything actually important, or potentially burning down your house!
Martins can also be rather avoidant or aggressive during this time, so be sure to give adequate space and hiding spaces while still keeping him company. Hopefully it resolves in a few weeks!

Hello! I’m looking to become a Jon owner, and heard you were the person to ask. Any tips or general things I should be aware of? Should I also look into getting a Martin for my Jon?
I have never owned a Jon before, but I am familiar with Jon behavior including self disruptive behavior, a tendency to make the absolute worst choices available, and of course that I need to keep a close eye on any potential kidnappers. If I do need a Martin, I know less about them unfortunately.
In my experience Martins aren't required when owning a Jon, but they make amazing companions! Especially if you won't be around constantly due to work or other things, they can be very good at keeping each other company so neither get too bored.
Something I will say is that one thing a lot of Martin owners get wrong is giving him oolong tea to nest with, he will not use it as Martins despise it. Also the pieces of poetry they nest with can pose a conflict to your Jon if they're too close to him, so generally just make sure you have lots of space and to do research if you do get a Martin for your Jon, but it's also not required.
Happy Jon caring!

I think your jon sims care is the best thing to exist. I do not know why. The concept greatly confuses me, but I love jon sims care anyways <3
Also quick question what happens if I get him near water.
Thank you so much! I really don't know where it came from either it's just a bit that got out of hand but I love drawing the funny pictures lmao
As for the question, all Jons are different, but mine personally loves a nice bath! (Pictured below)
