Jesus asks the disciples if they want to depart from Him (John 6). It doesn't appear from Jesus' words that the disciples couldn't depart, but rather, that they had a free will choice and they could stay or go. When Peter, the leader of the group speaks, he asks Jesus in response to His question, 'Lord, to whom shall we go?' (John 6:66). Peter assumes that he can depart from Christ, and that the disciples can too. So, his question is the logical next step: "If we disciples can leave Jesus, where, or to whom, do we go? Who can we turn to if we turn away from Jesus?' This doesn't sound as though Peter believed he couldn't depart from Jesus. Rather, Peter believed that, if he departed, no one else had the words of eternal life. He couldn't have eternal life if he departed from Christ.

So many people are scared of the number "666" but I personally am more concerned about this #666 from The Gospel of John! #john666 #thegospelofjohn Why? It is because this #verse denotes something even more saddening & disheartening than what so many fear concerning the #markofthebeast as we have come to know it! The Biblical Verse in John 6:66 clearly shows us that thwre were some that turned away from #Jesus while He was alive because they could not bring themselves to #believe what He said! They were willing to "roll" with Him as long as there was something hype & exciting happening. However, when it was time for them to simply BELIEVE what He said...they could not do it! They #followed Him to see what He would do next...but could not #follow what He #commanded and said for them to do! This is quite disheartening because this same issue has become even more massive in our world today! So many are looking for #proof & #actions instead of just being #settled and #resolute in His Word alone! Many want to #see instead of just Belueving what He #said in #TheBible long ago! Too many tend to forget that He was, is, & will forever be #TheWordOfGOD which was made flesh to walk the #earth as #JesusChrist #TheSonOfGOD for 33 years! He came to #die so that we might #live through #Faith in #HisWord alone! So I ask you this...will you turn away, stray, or stay with Jesus? Will you Believe His Word or are you hesitant to Believe because you haven't seen any works? Remember...Blessed are they which had not seen & yet Believe! Are you a True Believer?
