There ain't no other way, baby.

John Deacon is demisexual, he just doesn't know yet. He has no idea of what the Asexual spectrum is, but he's fully aware that in the world of Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll he's an outcast. His friends tell him that -maybe- if he tries again he'll be able to enjoy the company of those unknown women, part of him believes they may be right.

This fic has been wandering in my mind for a while. I've already written glimpses of Demi!Deaky in my Tetzdealor AU but I wanted to try and dive a bit deeper in John's experience IF he were Demisexual. Most of this was born thanks to his interview in Japan from 1984, when he said he couldn't understand groupies and that, for him, love and sex must be at the same level, and he can't enjoy sex without love. While I find that incredibly sweet, it also gave me the idea to write a John who struggles to fit in a world full of one-night-stands, easily available and fast sex, that also Brian admitted has been damaging for him. He struggles with discovering and accepting his asexual side, dealing with the toxic masculinity and patriarchy around him and inside of himself.
