You may know who my father is. John Clayton II, Viscount Greystok or if you want something more simple, Tarzan. That’s right. The man raised in the jungle of Africa by a family of apes after his parents died.
He grew up becoming a guardian of the jungle. Protecting it from man, while falling in love with my mother, Jane. My father learned about his past. Finding out he’s human, but it didn’t change his want to protect his home.
“Until I was born. My father took us back to civilization, but no matter how much he tried, the jungle called for him. So, we would go back. Kept on protecting until he grew too old, and I soon became its new protector.”

When did you first get disappointed by Disney?
In Disney's Tarzan, the main antagonist is called Clayton. Tarzan is sad when Clayton accidentally hangs himself on a vine as he never wanted this poacher that is trying to kill him and his family to die.
In the novel "Tarzan of the Apes", Tarzan's human name is John Clayton II, Viscount Greystoke. He is very proficient at killing those attacking him and his family. Sometimes he uses a rope woven from grass to hang the against a tree a stab the while they struggle to get down to the ground.

What was the name of the chimpanzee who was a friend of the fictional film character Tarzan?
Tumblr media
Cheeta was the name of the chimpanzee character that appeared in several 'Tarzan' films and television shows of the 1930s to 1960s. The chimpanzee often provided comic relief in the films and helped Tarzan pass messages to his friends. Occasionally, Cheeta and some other animals came to Tarzan's rescue.
Tarzan is a fictional character invented by Edgar Rice Burroughs in his 1914 book 'Tarzan of the Apes'. Tarzan, whose real name was John Clayton II, Viscount Greystoke, was left alone in the African jungle after his father's death. Giant Mangani apes raised the baby as one of their own, turning him into a feral-child and, eventually, an ape-man.
Although apes featured in the stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs, no chimpanzees appear in the original Tarzan novels. Instead, Tarzan had a monkey companion called Nkima.
In each 'Tarzan' movie, Cheeta was played by more than one chimpanzee, depending on what talents the scene called for. Films featuring Cheeta include 'Tarzan the Ape Man' (1932), 'Tarzan's Desert Mystery' (1943), 'Tarzan's Hidden Jungle' (1955), and'Tarzan and the Valley of Gold' (1966).

NAME: John "Jack" Clayton III, Earl of Greystoke/ Korak SPECIES:  human ORIENTATION: bisexual GENDER: male
APPEARANCE
face claim: River Phoenix
RELATIONSHIPS
FAMILY:  John Clayton II, Viscount Greystoke/Tarzan {father}, Jane Porter {mother}
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Meriem {may be subject to change as the mun does more research}
CHILDREN:-
PERSONALITY
Jack can be surprisingly empathetic especially to animals and others. Though he can also be extremely stubborn, cynical about human nature and very blunt because of that.
NEED TO KNOWS
Jack did not grow up in Africa like his father, growing up instead in England only to run away to Africa in an attempt to return the ape Akut to the wild.
Going back to the books the apes that raised his father and who later gave Jack the name ‘Korak’ are a type of missing link capable of some language.
I am jettisoning large portions of the book because Edgar Rice Burroughs wasn’t exactly big on research and could be fairly racist so like LETS NOT RESPECT HIS CANON.
Also I am headcanoning that Meriem is a Central West African woman not white. I’m still reading up to figure what group would be the best fit but that’s my stance and I won’t feel comfortable RPing with a white Meriem.
