Since it was the first story of yours I read, how about the backstory on Appearances? Or if you don’t want to go into the weeds on an NSFW fic, Someone Whole?

There is nothing really special about Keeping Up Appearances beyond wanting to write a glimpse of Talia and John as a battle couple, but in a better world where Reach never fell. They get it all, all versions of the happy ending. Rank, promotions, accolades, marriage, and children.

It was also an experiment to see what writing sex between a Spartan and a "mortal" might look like. Came to the conclusion that a Spartan could only ever really cut loose with another Spartan. Therefore, Talia had to be augmented if she ever wanted to fully enjoy her husband. Anything less risked a cracked pelvis on her part, haha.

Someone Whole was written to honor the couple friends I had made in the Silver Timeline fandom who had recently suffered miscarriages. It still isn't finished. I'm hoping to get that done sometime soon. It deserves a couple more chapters to show Talia and her marriage with John to have healed from the loss.
