My current thoughts and theories about Edvin's project

I'm very excited even if we don't know much yet.

My guess is that there is going to be a lose adaption to the book since they seem to have new names. But it could be a very close adaption too of course.

It's a tv series, likely a mini. I can see it be an SVT production but also Cmore or Viaplay. Maybe HBO even?

I don't think netflix though.

Magnus (the author) is not yet on set but from his posts I think he might be going there soon.

I thought I would collect my thoughts about the people we know are likely tied to it, the Swedish ones at least since I'm familiar with them.

First we have Edvin of course.

I'm so excited to see him in a completely different role. It feels like he's prepared alot for it and I'm sure he will nail the rolex whether he plays the main or a supporting role. I'm leaning more to supporting role but I also think they have made up the names and that they are not the same as in the book so who knows.

Erik Enge

Will probably play the lead. He's 27 so his age is a bit more appropriate I think. He's also experienced and has gotten alot of recognition for his acting. I'm sure he would be great too.

Johan Rheborg

He's a given at this point and will probably play a more senior military officer. He's moslty known for comedian roles but he's very well loved and is part of one of the most popular and loved comedy shows in sweden. I'm curious about his more serious acting.

Sandra Stojiljkovic

Also a given at this point. Also a more senior miltary probably. She plays a queer police woman in the show "Tunna blå linjen" which is also a very popular show about the Swedish police force in Malmö. Looking forward to see her too. I think her role might be a bit smaller since she is currently in sweden preparing. And will travel there next week most likely.

Toni Prince

I don't know anything about him sadly.

Mikael Persbrandt

This is very uncertain and I'm not sure at all he's actually in the cast but if he is WOW. He's one of the biggest in sweden, by far.

And Magnus follows him on Instagram. He certainly looks the part. Fingers crossed. I would love for it to be true.

And as for the Bosnian actors I can't comment on them other than that I am very excited for a co production with an international cast.

Random, men de av er som också har sett den där Nelly Rapp-filmen från 2020 (rekommenderas förresten)-- var det bara jag eller ville Hannibal (Johan Rheborg) gå på dejt med Vincent (Björn Gustafsson)? Har inte kunnat sluta tänka på det sedan förra vintern när jag såg filmen 😭

My rating: 2/10

I mean, the movie looks pretty nice in terms of production design and effects. Unfortunately, it appears to have been written by a particularly immature five year old, making it intensely annoying, unfunny and often completely incomprehensible.

what do you think about the male lead role nominees? you think edvin deserved a nomination over any of them? wonder if omar was also up for male lead rather than supporting this year, bc it seems weird that he wasn't nominated over Adam if he had such a insignificant role

David Dencik is always solid so I'm not surprised to see his name.

Ardalan was good in I dina Händer but I found the series so so to be honest.

I've not seen Tore so I don't know about William.

Johan Rheborg is popular but I don't think Morran och Tobias is that kind of series to deserve an acting nomination. Mostly because it's not my cup of tea so I'm not as appreciative if comedy acting.

Jonay was good in Taelgia, I enjoyed that show alot. Wouldn't be surprised if he won.

I can see Edvin replacing William but that's pretty much it I think. I think his role was more demanding but that's with being bias and not having watched tore.

I'm surprised the dad from en helt vanlig familj isn't nominated for supporting role or male lead. I hated the show but every other person ate it.

As for Omar I think he once again would have been considered for supporting role. I don't know why but that was the case the first year. I think the streaming services/channels can nominate a few each and they went with Sanna and Frida for supporting role and William and Ardalan for male actor.

Both Omar and Edvin could have been there but I'm not surprised to see they are not either. Not because they don't deserve it but because it seems like netflix chooses what's more recent and YR was on their 3rd season and not as hyped as it was in 2021-2022.
