Woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t stop freaking THINKING. About work, about the world, about how I was going to get out of the bed to poop without disturbing Gizmo… So I listened to a couple episodes of this story to distract me and it totally worked. I haven’t heard the stories that introduce Jane Slavin’s Anya Kingdom, but aside from knowing that her character ultimately turns out to be different from who she initially appears to be, I don’t feel like too much of that story was spoiled for me. Otherwise, this feels like a love letter to the sort of all out action stories Terry Nation used to write for the series, and now I’m excited to see where the rest of the Dalek Universe story (starring David Tennant as the Doctor) goes.
