12.06 is so old school supernatural, hunters trapped in a house, a demon on the loose and all they have is the exorcism by memory. Dean mad at his mom though: "I called you for weeks and nothing but you drove all the way to Canada to see some dead guy" (i hate it here, all i wanna do is hug my pookie ☹️) jody being a MOM for him "im here if you need anything" she is such THE character for dean in this season, she was there for him a lot and I appreciate it this from her 🤍

MY rewrite of Supernatural 15x19

Okay just to put this out there,,, this isn’t gonna be perfect and ofc we don’t know what happens in the next episode so this might mess things up but this is kinda how I wish the episode went. I did keep most of the dialogue and plot stuff from the actual episode but yeah I’ve been thinking about it and idk y’all fanfic writers can do what you want,,

So like,,, we start off the episode maybe with Dean listening to Sam’s voicemails. We just get shots of whats happened throughout the season as Sam is calling Dean over and over and he’s just not answering cause ~feels~ and it shows the last scene with everyone disappearing and finally Cas’ total homosexual declaration of love~~

Finally it cuts to Sam and Jack walking back into the bunker to look for Dean. Dean’s like passed out drunk on the floor in the same spot he was when Cas disappeared. Sam is worried as fuck of course and just trying to get answers and stuff for why Dean hasn’t been answering until Jack interrupts and asks where Cas is. 

Dean explains everything that happened and Sam is trying to talk to him but Dean is just like “nah man I don’t wanna talk about it” and as he’s walkin out of the room he still says “I’m sorry” to Jack. 

It cuts to scenes of Jack lying in the bed (mourning ofc cause his dad died and all) and Sam is researching stuff. At this point I’m guessing maybe a couple days pass or maybe hours idkk. Anyways so Dean comes out (of his room not the closet ya turkeys) and scoffs at Sam. Sam is like “w a t?” and Dean basically tells him that its pointless to keep researching cause they lost. Sam tells him that they can’t just give up. Dean is like ofc they can,, they get into an argument. Eventually it gets to Cas and Sam tells Dean “Cas wouldn’t want u to give up” “Well Cas is dead” “W e l l then don’t make him die for nothing,,, Im still fighting,, Still fighting for the hope that one day I can get Eileen back. That one day we get one last miracle” “Miracle? Miracles don’t exist” (Did this cause DOG)

And then Jack is like ~OOP I feel something~ Sam and Dean share The Look™ They’re driving to find the thing Jack’s talking about and then the scene with Miracle the Dog happens. Dean is like “Like I told you man, Miracles don’t exist”. They get to the church with Michael there. They do the whole talk thing and Michael wants to help cause he lost his human (ADAM).

 This is the part of the story I don’t have completely figured out yet so y’all can do it for me. Anyways so for this part I had some ideas but you can change obv.

Michael explains how it took 4 archangels to take down Chuck so they try to get 3 others to help. I know Uriel isn’t an archangel but idc I was thinking they’d get Luci, Michael, Uriel and Gabriel back. They’d either do this by idk somehow summoning The Empty to give them back maybe. This would give another opportunity to talk about ~Cas~. ANyways, Empty agrees to Luci, Uriel and Gabirel but not Cas unfortunately ://

We could fit in some funny scenes between Michael and Luci cause lets be honest,, this would be iconic,, Gabriel is just being Gabriel and it would be nice to have Michael, LUci and Gabe all together :)),, and I think we could have some good scenes between Uriel and Dean (ANother Cas opportunityyy). Anyways so I don’t have this part planned out much either :P so do what you want. 

Cause idk how to get to this next part (I was thinking maybe they try opening the Death book again but it doesn’t work, Michael and Luci fight again so Jack absorbs more power,, Gabriel could intervene,,, They have a bro to bro to bro talk and make up finally AT LASTT)

ANYWHO so we get to the place they all meet,, like the forest cliff place?? ANyways so they do the summoning thing for CHuck and he appears to stop them. CHuck reveals that Michael told him the entire plan. Chuck still tries to kill MIchael (cause that scene was SO GOOD) excpet he DOESN’T cause surprise bitchess,, Gabe, Luci and Uriel come out ready to fight. A big ‘ol epic battle breaks out (all this time Jack is getting JUICED) until CHuck has had enough and beats them all. Chuck is like seriosuly,,, ya tried to beat mE?? With 3 archagels?? (ofc they just needed to distract Chuck long enough for our jacka-boy)

The scene where Chuck beats up Sam and Dean but they keep getting up still happens cause DAMN that scene was POWERFUL as FUCK. And then,,,

“Why are you smiling?” “Because. You lose.”

BOOM BANG BOOM,, Jack is there and CHuck is like “what the fuck??” Jack absorbing his powers happens (except we see both black and the white veins to show that hey amara is still there and now its JACK that has the one black eye and one white eye) 

Sam and Dean can explain the real plan,, blah blah blah,, Chuck is begging or his life here ofc. Sam and Dean are like “bye bitch”. CHuck even begs to Michael but Michael is like “bye bitch” now it’s your turn to be abandoned and forgotten hah. and they drive off. and rob is his amazing self. 

They get back to the town and they all have a Winchester Talk™ and Jack snaps his fingers and everyone (yes and the dog) comes back! We show a montage of everyone returning like Jodie, Donna and Claire and Kaia, Charlie and Stevie, Kevin with his mOm, Becky and her husband and kids, Michael and Adam and finally Eileen comes back,, EVERYONE COMES BACK BABYY (not in the same place ofc). 

Dean asks Jack about Cas~~ Jack is like “I don’t know,, Everyone was supposed to come back,,” (save the gripping cas tight and raising him from perdition for the next ep ;)))

Anyways so Jack says his goodbye speech and our nougat boi walks away. Angels talk about what they’re gonna do and walk away. Adam/MIchael has that Moment™ with Dean that just because they don’t get what they want right away, doesn’t mean it’ll never happen~~

Sam and Dean are back in the bunker. Sam says sorry to Dean about Cas. He knows how much he meant to him- to everyone. Dean is like “WELP that how life b.” Sam is like “Well maybe we can find some way to bring him back?” Dean is like “Maybbeeeee,, it’d take a fricken miracle~~ Buuuttt-- 

Idk y’all make it up. Anyways so they talk about how they’re finally free. They can do whatever they want. They leave,, we see Cas and Jack’s names on the table, we have that amazing montage and BOOM. Episode over. 

So those are my opinions, feel free to share yours :))) I did leave a couple scenes out so if you wanna add stuff back in (or delete) idc, do what feels right to you. I just typed this up now so it’s baddd and messy and I’m not a fanfic writer so if you like this version, feel free to use it and if you do PLS send me a link cause I wanna read it :DD

Things SPN Does that Bothers Me

Now you know 95% of the time, im show positive, I love the show, like i love Sam and Dean, and thats flaws and all. Just like the boys can piss me off sometimes, well... the show can too, and these are some regular things they (TPTB) do, that have either pissed me off, or make me very uncomfortable.  I dont like every storyline, nor every character, but if it/they serve a reasonable purpose, I dont dwell on it, and accept the role or what the story developed into as a part of the big picture. Some things however are pointless, and just annoying.  Dean’s eating habits for starters. I can accept, he eats a lot, and eats fast, even that he’s sometimes a messy eater, this is a continuous part of his character. However, the food falling out of his mouth, or getting on his face is ridiculous! I know its more of a comic relief thing, but its gross and it makes Dean look like an idiot. in Tall Tales, its established that Dean eats messy when hes eating chili fries with his fingers, and getting it n Sam’s bed. in Folsem Prison Blues, we see him shoveling down the prison food. We have donut all over his face in The Purge, and these were kinda funny, but the speghetti hanging out of his mouth in Halt and Catch Fire, spitting the chinese food on the floor in Love Hurts, and the pie all over his face in Mama Mia, was just unnecessary. if Dean has enough manners to not eat like a feral dog 99% of the time, I think he can do that ALL of the time. Now, the one time Sam has food falling out of his mouth in Dont You Forget About Me, was funny, and it made the statement that hes been dying for a good roasted chicken, but, if he does it again, its no longer funny, its just gross and makes him look like an idiot. So, sure, let Dean eat a lot, and ;et him eat fast, but dont make him gross anymore.  Sam’s hair. That man has a gorgeous head of hair!! KEEP IT THAT WAY!! IT even looks great messy! Why do TPTB have it looking dorky half the time? This started early even before it was long, and he still had bangs, and dont get me started on S10!! S6 7 and 8, they had his hair consistantly good, with maybe one or two bad hair days, but then S9 came around, i guess they thought he was too gorgeous?? or not nerdy enough?? I know between takes, if his hair got messed up, some lucky af woman from hair and make up comes and fixes it, but is she directed to not make it look good? “Here Jane, over brush it and push it back to accentuate his 5head! He looks too hot right now” Now maybe in s10 (ok yes Im going there) the haircut at the start of the season was unsuccesful, it happens, but why keep it that way? His hair grows fast! We’ve seen this! he can grow it out of a bad cut in 2 episodes! AND NO FREAKIN FLAT IRONS!! GOD! The Brothers lying to each other. Ill excuse all the lies theyve told that served a purpose, like to bring on new drama,  or had a valid (maybe just to that specific brother) reason behind it, but lies that serve no purpose at all suck. Dean didnt need to lie about texting/calling mom and waiting till Sam went to sleep too listen to messages. Sam wasnt telling him not to contact her,, and nothing ever became of it. It was just childish and annoyng. Same with Sam not telling Dean that he decided to work for the Brits and wanted him to do it too. By this time Sam would know Dean would hear him out, even if he growled first, and they work with people they dont trust, BAD people all the time, if it serves a good purpose. Dean basically said this himself. they didnt even have a pivitol fight over the lie, so it was just stupid. 

Ive always been very uncomfortable with the boys relationship with Crowley after S10. especially Dean’s. im not anti Crowley mind you, but when they’ve been chummy with him after he killed the people they saved back in S8, and made Sam watch his friend Sarah die, and let us not forget him nearly killing Jodi, who they are like bff with, also consider that he’s bragged about killing babies, and helping out pervy priests, and made Dick Roman muffins from baby uvulas. It was very uncomfortable for me to hear Dean pray for God to bring Crowley back after he died. Sam maintained at least some level of hate towards Crowley throughout his time, but Dean was friend, then trying to kill him, then friend, then trying to kill him... and it was just weird. Its been a big fear of mind at some point a Winchester is going to be sitting and having a beer with Lucifer, just chatting. 

Teach Sam how to get out of a strangle hold!!! Im not even bothered that he GETS strangled, but self defense 101 teaches you how to get out of that hold before it teaches you anything else. Theres no reason on Chucks green Earth as to why Sam is always punching said stranglers arm instead of doing the ‘up and out” move!! If he needs to be taken down for whatever reason, there are other way of doing so, stop making him look like he cant fight! I think we all hate when they go off canon, but its never really bothered me if it was something small that might have just gone unnoticed but theyve had some doozies that made me mad at the whole staff. You cant tell me that Lucifer suddenly being the older brother, or the Obama, to Rooney to Trump POTUS change got past everyone, including J2? That makes them all look stupid or that they dont think we’re smart enough to notice.  So these are just some things that rub me the wrong way because theres just no good reason for them. Most screw ups i can overlook if something good came from it, but these things didnt. so STAAAAHHHHHPPPP!!!!!! That will be all...

#not to reiterate too much but it is very much about ‘im not a father I’m a killer’ #and how dean talks to krissy’s dad and tells him that he has a kid and that’s his main responsibility #like he views hunting vs parenting as a choice to be made #(likely bc of the choices his dad made that made him a ‘great’ hunter and an awful father) #but anyway dean—since he’s dean—feels like certain choices are not an option for him but #he knows theyre the right thing the best thing so other people who have that option Should Take That Option #so when mary doesn’t take the option that is clearly the superior more moral choice he’s like #wtf mom I thought you were here to fix literally everything #anyway late s7 dean and cas and s12 dean and mary are the same

Also yeah exactly that and like. On the rare occasion when I’m not just ignoring the whole Moriah and Jack Bomb storylines because they’re so OOC and stupid and clearly just there to create conflict regardless of how much actual sense it makes for Dean’s character...when I do engage with Dean’s actions in Moriah and Unity, I feel like this explains them a lot.

Under a cut because this post is already long and this is. Really incoherent.

Dean thinks of hunting and parenthood as completely separate roles that cannot coexist. Regardless of the evidence (Jodi with Claire and Alex anyone?) that it IS possible to be a hunter without making it your entire life and your kids’ entire lives as well. I’d even argue Jo Harvelle is an example of this. Her dad was a hunter, but he didn’t drag her into it. Ellen wasn’t a hunter either. Jo chose to become a hunter when she was older, not unlike Claire. And not unlike Claire, she did it despite other options and lots of protest from her mom. So I’d argue that’s two examples of kids who were raised by hunters/around hunting who weren’t forced into it the way Dean and Sam were.

But Dean is continually put into situations where his desire to be a parent and his felt obligation to be a hunter collide. With Ben he tried to choose fatherhood, and when that didn’t work he tried to do both. And when that didn’t work, he chose hunting.

(With Emma he didn’t get a chance to make a choice but it was there, shimmering in the air for a moment.)

With Jack he refuses the role of father at first. But when he accepts it, he almost has no choice but to balance hunting and fatherhood. And for a while, it works. Or so he thinks, but then his mom dies. And Dean either interprets this as he wasn’t a good enough father because he was trying to do both (he didn’t realize something was up with his kid and help him before it got this bad), or he wasn’t a good enough hunter because he was trying to do both (he didn’t realize Jack was dangerous and stop him before he hurt someone). Or hell, maybe he thinks both things! Probably he thinks both things.

So then, in his grief and anger, he tries to just be a hunter when it comes to Jack. But he still is a father, because if you’re even a halfway good one you can’t choose it and then decide to stop choosing it.

Which is why Dean’s so fucked up in season 15 with regards to Jack, literally going from fighting a supernatural creature because they want to hurt him and baking him a birthday cake to being willing to sacrifice him to stop Chuck within episodes. He’s waffling back and forth between father and hunter and doing both poorly, because it’s not a decision he knows how to make. (Because he isn’t and has never been and will never be John, who chose hunter and never looked back.)

But he’s never learned how to balance the two roles. And he’s never felt he can just forsake hunting. Which is why I feel like his ultimate ending should have been choosing fatherhood, choosing what he wants over what he feels obligated to do, and leaving hunting behind.

Oh I just thought about...Dean's anger at Mary at least in part being that he views her trauma-driven withdrawal from them as a rejection of the role of mother. And he resents the hell out of that. How dare she, he thinks, reject the role of mother when he was never allowed to? When he wore it from the age of four though it was too big and heavy for him? It wasn't his but he took it on, why should she get to refuse it when it's hers? He's not capable of viewing Mary objectively as a traumatized woman who died at 29 and was brought back at 59 toa world she doesn't understand and her worst nightmare having come true. He only sees his mom refusing to be his mom.

Hmmm idk I think I’m gonna have to agree with Sarah bc like, there was no identifiable way to kill the Leviathans permanently, they’d probably be the worst.

Cas, because I too, also miss social cues and am extremely awkward 

13. What death hit you the hardest?

Cas this season because before this, I watched all the seasons 1 after another and I knew Cas was still alive, but this one,,,,,,oh god it was like I got stabbed in the chest along with him it physically hurt to watch Lucifer do that to him. I like,,,,cried for a good 20-30 minutes and a few times in the next few days. 

14. What season finale hit you the hardest?

Season 9 I think because I remember watching it in biology class and i sat in the back corner and thank god i did because I started crying real hard

My 12X22  Opinion

Who We Are Im going to give this episode a standing ovation! I absolutely LOVED it! This is the kind of episode that made me want to watch it again, immediately after it ended, and I stopped sobbing. This could have stood on its own as a season finale, even without a cliff hanger. We start off in the bunker with Sam, Dean and bitch face Toni trapped with no water, lights, and having the air pumped out. This itself was kind of a silly method of death for the boys, because... well.. how would they not get out? But Im not complaining, I certainly don’t want them to die!  Mary is out and about, brain washed and killy. She just killed a hunter and shes ordered to kill Jody. We all like Jody so even though we know the boys will get out eventually, will it be in time to save Jody? Very good suspense build to start with.  Now the dynamic duo and the Brittish peice of shit, try this weird spell to turn the bunker back on, that needs virgin blood, Just kinda humorous I guess, not really anything I thought would work, but then the boys try to bash their way through a concrete wall. This was awesome! Not only was it incredibly hot to watch them in single layers, all dirty and sweaty, in safety goggles swinging around pick axes, but it turned into a very moving brother moment. Sam takes responsibility for deciding to work with the Britts, and though Id wish he would stop blaming himself for everything, it is kind of one of his charms that I find endearing. He has a great monologue and my favorite part : “Once I was in, I just followed.... because it was easy.... easier” (Dean) “Easier than what?” “Than to lead”

I never blamed Sam for wanting to try. I knew in 12x1 while he was chained to a chair and Toni told them what they do, he’d want to check it out himself. I was sure it would go bad too, but this is Supernatural, and if any pattern is steady, its the boys break it, then they fix it. I was also happy to see that Dean didnt chastise him, blame him for anything or whatnot, he just listened. Then the brother sat there, with the air thinning and Sam’s chest heaving (thank you Chuck) talking about their pending demise. Maybe it wasn’t how they would have wanted it, but they were together. When and if the time comes that they actually do draw their final breaths, they will be together.  Then Dean has the best idea to finally use the grenade launcher... and Sam isn’t even going to try to stop him this time. Toni is telling them theyre lunitics and they could all die if the building collapses on them. Sam and Dean have the BEST exchange of looks, because they dont care. If theyre gonna die, it will be in a blaze of glory, but its also the best bet to get them out.  I really did feel Sam’s anxiety when he went to look for Dean after the blast. His moment of relief when he saw the clearing made around the pipe and then his horror as the concrete collapsed into it. Panic mode yelling for his brother, not giving a shit where Toni is, where the hell is Dean?? Then the air is gone, he cant breathe, and just as he collapses from lack of air, in walks Dean, a little bloody and broken, but he’s ok. “Hey lunitic!” and all the life and love goes back into Sam’s face. (siiigh) Ok so we’re out of the bunker and safe, but now for some reason, Sam has some kind of blood stain on the front of his shirt, and he hasnt been bleeding? Only one bleeding is Dean and I dont know how Sam would get it on his stomach, but you can imagine whatever you want I guess LOL! We head off to Jody and find her safe but she has psycho!Mary tied up. Lets call all the hunters we can think of and take the Britts on ourselves. Of course the dudes that killed them in S5, show up and cant look the brothers in the eyes, but in traditional Winchester fashion, the boys look ;past it to fight for the greater good.  Sam takes control (purrrr) he has a wonderful, humble speech, thats very well worded and not the typical locker-room inspirational speech. He decides to take it on himself and not put any responsibility on Dean, which was odd because Dean wasn’t claiming it was all Sam’s idea anyway, but Sam was more “this ones on me” and for the first time ever, he asks people to follow him, into what might be their final fight.  What transpires after this started me crying and never let me go. Dean encourages Sam to do this without him, even though Sam will take a jacked up Dean Winchester over 10 other hunters any day, Dean supports him, and pridefully tells him he’s got this. He’s ready. And the bro hug Ive been waiting for all season happens!! It was wonderful!! “Cmere.... you come back” Sam :”promise” “Bitch” (Sam chokes back tears) “jerk” and my water works start!  Ive read a lot of you complaining this was too little, too late, or that it was fan service or whatever. I think it was perfect and right in place, even if it was long overdue. And if the powers that be heard the fans bitching about the lack of bromance, and started putting it back, then our work here is done! Now we move on to Dean getting into Mary’s head, while Sam is off fucking shit up over at the base. These scenes between Dean and Mary was some of the best acting Ive seen Jensen do ever. The initial “I hate you” cut me in 2. This, the man Ive watched for 12 seasons pine over his dead mother and longing to have a relationship with her, has now been broken down to hate her. And he tells her whats what, pulling no punches. Yeah dad lived but this is what happened, and gave her the condensed version of how he had too much responsibility put on him to take care of Sam and it wasnt fair because he couldnt do it.... Sam’s life was fucked up and Dean couldnt stop it and he hates her for that. He hates her and he loves her, because shes his mom and he cant help it. <insert shattering heart right here> kind of puts things into perscpective of the brothers’ relationship over the seasons. Times when theyve gotten so mad they hated each other, they always still loved each other. Dean forgives her, and he understands because hes made deals more than once to save Sam’s life, (not Cas’s btw) because he loves him. Sam has hated him for it sometimes, but forgives him, because he cant help but love him. So, Dean wants to start fresh. Im alright with that. Meanwhile, back at the BMOL base, Sam is kicking ass. Sam Fucking Winchester! Where i feel its been off balance with Dean having low kills this season, I am enjoying badass Sam very much. He’s always been badass, but its just leveled up some this season. But I cant believe the old man on the computer called Sam “boy” like whaaaaat??  So Dean gets slammed out of the mind link, to see Toni with her throat slashed (YAAAAAY!!!!) And Ketch ready to kill him... good fight ensues, Mary wakes up, dead Ketch (YAAAY!!) Dean and Mary talk more about starting over and forgivenes, and I THOUGHT I was safe and wouldnt need to cry anymore, but no. Mary is scared, what if Sam cant forgive her? In walks Sam and with the softest, most painful way he could,  says “Mom? You dont have to be scared of me” (I died... omf Sam) Mom hugs Sam... am I safe yet? hell no, Dean touches Sams shoulder “Im glad your back man” and comes in to wrap Sam in his arms AGAIN and Sam’s face is like he’s needed this his entire life and just.... WOW just fucking WOW This was by far the best episode of the season, and to be honest, maybe of the whole series for me. On a scale of Bloodlines to Swan Song, I am gonna say, shockingly, it MIGHT be tied with Swan Song, They’re 2 entirely different kinds of episodes, so I really cant say I loved one better than the other. But Im giving Who We Are a perfect 10! *clap clap clap clap clap* THIS is how you write an episode! Thank you!!
