Y/N is a marketing employee and she has a friend named Jia. But Y/N has an ex-boyfriend in the human resources department named Jung Doyun who keeps bothering her to get back to him. There is one time while she is working, she suddenly received a message from Doyun and it says….

“Y/N, I want to talk to you after our work- Doyun”

As Y/N read it, she rolled her eyes, and then, Jia noticed it.

“Y/N, is that Doyun again?” Jia asked.

“Yes, it is! He wants to talk to me,” Y/N said.

“You know, just talk to him and clear things up with him,” Jia said.

"Okay! To be honest, I really like to settle things up with him already and I don't want him to lurk around me anymore," Y/N said and Jia agreed with her. After hours of working in the office, Y/N went outside the office of their department and Doyun was already waiting for her.

“Y/N, I am glad you wanted to talk to me,” Doyun said.

“I will make this quick, okay?” Y/N said.

“We will not talk about it here. We will go to a bar since it’s Friday and we can about some things there,” Doyun said and then Y/N raised one of her eyebrows.

“In a bar? Seriously? Also, I don’t have the mood to talk to you in a bar,” Y/N said.

“Please, Y/N. Just this once. I will not do anything bad to you,” Doyun said.

“Fine! We will go to the bar, talk quickly and then I will leave you,” Y/N said.

“Okay! Let’s go!” Doyun said. Then Doyun and Y/N went to a bar and they sat in one of the chairs near the bartender's counter and…

“Y/N, you know that I still like you, right?” Doyun asked and Y/N smirked.

“I know you want me back. But I will make it clear to you that we are already over and I don’t want you to be my boyfriend again,” Y/N said.

“But Y/N, I didn’t mean to cheat on you,” Doyun said then Y/N scoffed.

“Really? But you seemed to enjoy that girl’s company and also, you didn’t just do it once but thrice! So, please stop bothering me from now on,” Y/N said. But when Doyun was about to talk to Y/N, a man suddenly excused himself between them and…

“Sorry! I will just get my drink,” the man said which made Doyun angry.

“Hey, mister! Can’t you see that we are talking to each other? Then you will suddenly just come between us to disturb us? Just get your drink and please leave us alone!” Doyun said. Then the man just smirked at him.

"Mister, don't listen to him. To be honest, you have good timing because I don't want to talk to him,” Y/N said which made Doyun surprised.

“I see! Anyways, I will leave the two of you now,” the man said and he left them. But after the man left…

“What did you say earlier?” Doyun asked.

“I don’t want to talk to you anymore and I will never get back to you! I’ll go home now and you can find your bitch here tonight!” Y/N said and she completely left him in the bar which made Doyun got frustrated.

“You will come back to me, Y/N!” Doyun thought. As for Y/N who was already in her apartment, she suddenly thought of the man who disturbed them earlier…

“Why does that man look so familiar to me?” Y/N thought and she just went to sleep.

THE NEXT DAY…

Jia and Y/N are having a lunch break and suddenly Doyun is approaching them and…

“Jia! Let’s go!” Y/N said then Jia nodded.

“Y/N, wait!” Doyun said.

“I already told you last night I don’t want to talk to you anymore! I have to go back to work,” Y/N said and she left him which made Doyun sigh. As Y/N and Jia, went back to work, Y/N suddenly saw an announcement that they will have a company outing and she saw that the CEO will shoulder their accommodation and other things as she saw the CEO's photo, she was surprised…

“Wait! What? The man from the bar is Mr. Jo Jinho? I can’t believe it was him!” Y/N thought and Jia noticed it.

“Y/N, Is there a problem?” Jia asked.

“Jia, I just saw Mr. Jo Jinho in the bar when I am talking to Doyun,” Y/N said.

“What? Are you serious?” Jia asked.

“Yes! He was the one who came between us when I was talking to Doyun,” Y/N said.

“Oh! So, what did Doyun do?” Jia asked.

“To be honest, Doyun was quite rude to him and he just told him that he should leave us alone and he is disturbing us. But for me, I told him it was good timing because I am sick of talking to Doyun," Y/N said.

“Oh! Doyun will be in trouble since Mr. Jo Jinho will be in our company outing,” Jia said.

“I know right! It seems Doyun didn’t recognize him. Let’s see what will happen to him,” Y/N said as she smirked. As time goes by, it was time for them to go home and when she saw that Doyun was about to take the elevator, Y/N closed it making Y/N and Jia laugh.

“It will be better if he will not join us in the elevator,” Y/N said.

“You are right!” Jia said as they laughed. As for Doyun, who was left and didn’t get a chance to get in the elevator…

“This is making me more to get motivated to get her back to me!” Doyun thought. As Y/N and Jia got home…

“You know, I am so excited about our company outing,” Jia said.

“Me too! Especially I am excited that Doyun will know that he messed up with our CEO,” Y/N said as she smirked.

“I know! That will be interesting to watch," Jia said as they laughed. After their conversation, they washed up and went to sleep. The next day, Y/N and Jia went to their working stations then Y/N saw a brown envelope on top of her table and she checked inside and she was surprised because it was Doyun's photos kissing different girls and Jia saw it who also became surprised.

"Woah! Who placed that envelope on your table?" Jia asked.

"I don't know! Oh! Wait! There's a note on it," Y/N said, and as she read it…

“Y/N, don’t ever trust anymore your ex-boyfriend, Jung Doyun. He will just make false promises to you. Also, be careful meeting him again alone. If you are wondering who sent these photos to you, just think I am your secret protector – J”

After Y/N read it, she was surprised.

“Wow! Secret protector, huh?” Jia said.

“I know, right! But whoever sent these photos to me he should have sent it to me when I still didn’t know Doyun was cheating on me,” Y/N said then Jia laughed.

“You know, you should still be thankful that someone cares for you even though he was late to send those photos to you but it seems those photos are recently taken,” Jia said. Then Y/N checked the photos and it has dates on them and she was surprised again.

“OMG! You are right! These photos are recently taken. Doyun should never get closer to me,” Y/N said.

“Also, don’t ever accept invites from Doyun he might really do something to you,” Jia said.

“Yup! I will never go with him anywhere even when we are on our company outing,” Y/N said. As time goes by, it was already their company outing, Y/N and Jia were always together but Doyun kept following them making Y/N angry and bothered. So, she decided to approach which made Doyun quite surprised.

“Can you please stop following me? Just do your thing and I will do mine. How many times will I tell you that I will never get back to you!” Y/N said but Doyun just smirked.

“I won’t stop following you and I won’t give up you to someone else!” Doyun said as he suddenly pulled her closer to her and Y/N pushed him hard making Doyun get back away from her.

“Don’t get closer to me, Doyun! I don’t trust you anymore and let’s see how long will you do that and I bet you will be tired later on,” Y/N said and she left him.

“I will never get tired of you, Y/N!” Doyun thought. At that time, when Y/N is going back to her room, she suddenly bumped onto someone and…

“Oh! I am sorry!” Y/N said and when she saw the man’s face, she was surprised.

“It’s okay! You are Y/N, right?” the man asked.

“Yes! You are Mr. Jo Jinho, right?” Y/N asked.

“Yes! Nice to meet you again,” Jinho said.

“Nice to meet you again, Mr. Jo Jinho,” Y/N said.

“You can just call me Jinho. I don’t want you to be so formal to me,” Jinho said.

“Are you sure? But you are the CEO of the company,” Y/N said.

“I know. But I want you to be comfortable calling me Jinho,” Jinho said as he smiled brightly making Y/N blush.

“Oh! Thank you, Mr. Jo Jinho. I mean Jinho," Y/N said making Jinho slightly laugh.

“Umm… can we talk for a while in the restaurant of this resort?” Jinho asked which made Y/N blush.

“Sure, Jinho!” Y/N said.

“Great! Let’s go!” Jinho said. Then while they are going to the restaurant…

“OMG! I can’t believe I will talk to the CEO!” Y/N thought.

As they went inside the restaurant, they sat across from each other and started to have a conversation.

“What do you want to talk about, Jinho?” Y/N asked.

“I bet that you really remember that I was the man who disturbed you and Doyun talking to a bar, right?” Jinho asked.

“Umm… Yes! To be honest, at first, I didn’t recognize you,” Y/N said.

“Oh! I see. To be honest, I did that on purpose,” Jinho said which made Y/N surprised.

“Why?” Y/N asked.

“I know this will be very surprising to you but I like you, Y/N,” Jinho said making Y/N's eyes go wide.

“I think that’s not a good joke, Jinho,” Y/N said.

“No! I am serious. Also, I am the one who sent those photos of Doyun,” Jinho said.

“Is this a dream? CEO, Mr. Jo Jinho likes me and he was the one who sent those photos?” Y/N thought.

“But why did you have those photos?” Y/N asked.

“I hired someone to follow Doyun and the man that I hired took a picture of some of his cheating habits towards you,” Jinho said.

“What? Really?” Y/N asked surprisingly.

“Yes! I just really cared about you and I don’t want you to go back to him,” Jinho said.

“I will never get back to him because I know he will cheat on me over and over again. But Jinho thank you for the effort that you did. But I really never expect that you will like me, especially since you are the CEO of the company,” Y/N said making Jinho laugh and he suddenly held her hand making Y/N blush.

“Y/N, I liked you ever since I did the final interview with you, and to be honest, I kept checking you out in the office if you were alright. I admit that my heart broke into pieces when you became in a relationship with Doyun but I got so angry at him because he cheated on you. I know this would be fast because this was only our second time to talked to each other. But can you be my girlfriend starting today?” Jinho asked.

“I can’t believe this is happening!” Y/N thought.

“Yes, Jinho! I can be your girlfriend,” Y/N said as she smiled.

“I love you, Y/N!” Jinho said as he kissed her hand making Y/N blush madly.

“I love you too, Jinho!” Y/N said.

“I am glad you accepted me. In the evening, I will introduce you as my girlfriend in front of other employees and will make Doyun surprised,” Jinho said which made Y/N's eyes go wide.

“WHAT? Are you serious?” Y/N asked.

“Yes! Also, because of Doyun’s behavior towards me, I will show him he messed up with the wrong person,” Jinho said.

“That’s interesting,” Y/N said as she smirked. While Y/N and Jinho are still talking to each other, Doyun saw them, and…

“That’s the guy in the bar, right? He just really followed Y/N here! “Doyun thought and stared at them seriously from afar.

“By the way Y/N, while we are on a company outing, many will watch Doyun's actions,” Jinho said.

“What do you mean?” Y/N asked.

“Before we leave, I will give this to you,” Jinho said as he suddenly put a titanium steel bracelet on her that has little heart pendants on it making Y/N blush.

“OMG! Thank you so much, Jinho! I didn’t expect you will give me already a gift,” Y/N said.

“No problem, Y/N. I want to see that you are always wearing that and I heard that kind of bracelet didn’t get rusty so you can wear it all day long,” Jinho said.

“Okay! No worries. I will wear this every day and I will not remove it,” Y/N said.

“Good! I have to go back to the room because I still have a zoom meeting with other international investors,” Jinho said.

But Y/N and Jinho just let him in and as the door of the elevator closed, Doyun looked at them and he was surprised that Y/N and Jinho are holding hands.

“Hey, mister! You are the man in the bar, right?” Doyun asked.

“Yes! Why?” Jinho asked.

“So, you are now following my girlfriend? Also, why the hell are you holding her hand?” Doyun asked then Jinho smirked.

“Girlfriend? If you are her boyfriend, why is she not with you? Also, she is not yours anymore. She’s mine already,” Jinho said then Doyun scoffed.

“No! She will not be yours, mister!” Doyun said and when he was about to punch Jinho, Y/N suddenly slapped his face making Doyun surprised.

“Stop this shit already, Jung Doyun! I did that to you because I want you to wake up from the reality that we are already over and also, he is now my boyfriend. So, please stop lurking around me!” Y/N said as she shouted angrily. Then at that time, Doyun reached his floor and…

“You two will never have a happy relationship as long as I am here, Y/N!” Doyun said and left them inside the elevator. Then as the door closes…

“Me? I will kiss Mr. Jo Jinho? I will never do that to him,” Y/N said.

“You are good at lying, huh? Y/N, I saw it with my two eyes that you and Mr. Jo Jinho kissed! So, please explain, why did Mr. Jo Jinho kiss you?” Jia asked as she raised one of her eyebrows then Y/N sighed.

“I know this was fast but Mr. Jinho and I are already in a relationship," Y/N said which made Jia's eyes go wide.

“WHAT? Are you fucking serious?” Jia asked.

“Yes! I am serious,” Y/N said as she blushed.

“How did that happen? Also, it was just your second time to talk to him, right?” Jia asked.

"Yup! To be honest, things happened fast. But he just confessed to me that ever since he did a final interview with me, he already fell in love with me,” Y/N said.

“OMG! I am so happy for you, Y/N! So, did Doyun see the two of you earlier?” Jia asked.

"Yes! He also joined us in the elevator and it seemed Doyun still did not recognize that he is the CEO of the company and he became rude to him then Jinho just told him that we are in a relationship,” Y/N said.

“Oh! Someone will be really in trouble,” Jia said as she smirked.

“No need, Kino. I don’t want you and Shinwon will be involved in my problem,” Y/N said.

“But Y/N we are your friends and of course, we care for you,” Shinwon said which made Y/N smile at him.

“I can’t believe that Shinwon will tell those words. It doesn’t suit him,” Jia said as she teased him then Y/N and Kino laughed at her statement but Shinwon just chuckled.

“Done teasing me, huh? But I am just telling the truth,” Shinwon said.

“I understand, Shinwon. But don’t worry, I know and I can feel that during this company outing Doyun will not bother me anymore,” Y/N said.

“How sure you are?” Kino asked.

“I am 100% sure that Doyun will be out of my life as soon as possible,” Y/N said as she smirked.

“Oh! It seems there will be an interesting show to watch, huh?” Shinwon said.

“Yup! It will happen soon,” Y/N said as she smiled at them. Then there is one time, Y/N was about to go to the bathroom, someone suddenly held her hand and it was Doyun making Y/N surprised.

“Let go of me, Doyun!” Y/N said as she shouted.

“No! I will prove to you that you are just mine!” Doyun said angrily. But before they are going somewhere, three men were standing in front of them and blocked their way…

“Get out of our way!” Doyun said.

“What if we don’t want to?" the man asked making Doyun furious then when he was about to punch the man, he suddenly let go of Y/N's arm, and then Y/N ran fast which Doyun realized Y/N escaped and when he was about to chase her, the three men blocked his way again which made Doyun frustrated.

“You are not going anywhere!” the man from his back said and when Doyun turned around…

“You again, mister! Are these three men your bodyguards?” Doyun asked then Jinho smirked.

“What if say yes? Also, you messed up with the wrong person, Mr. Jung Doyun,” Jinho said.

“Who the hell are you? Also, you know my full name! Are you a stalker?” Doyun asked.

“Ha! You are ridiculous. I will never be a stalker of you,” Jinho said which made Doyun angry, and when he was about to beat Jinho, one of the bodyguards held his hands harder which made Doyun yelped in pain.

“Mr. Jung Doyun, remember this day will be your unlucky day and you messed up big time. Let’s go boys. Don’t mind him,” Jinho said as he smirked. Then Jinho and his three bodyguards left Doyun.

“Who the hell he is? I am not the one who will have an unlucky day,” Doyun thought. As Y/N went back to her friends…

“Y/N, what happened? You suddenly ran going back here,” Kino asked.

“Doyun tried to drag me somewhere," Y/N said as she still caught her breath because she ran fast earlier.

“What? But how did you escape?” Shinwon asked.

“Doyun was about to punch someone but he suddenly let go of my arm so I ran fast to get away from him,” Y/N said.

“Thank goodness you were alright!” Jia said.

“I know! I was really scared earlier and thankfully, three men blocked our way and helped me to escape from Doyun,” Y/N said.

“Oh! By any chance do you know those three men who helped you earlier?” Kino asked.

“Nope! It was my first time to see them,” Y/N said but suddenly she saw the three men with Jinho and…

“Wait! Those are the guys who saved me earlier,” Y/N said as she pointed at them.

“Really? To be honest, we know them and their names are Hongseok, Yeo One, and Yuto. Also, they are the bodyguards of Mr. Jo Jinho,” Kino said.

“Really? Wow! They are also handsome and hot,” Y/N said then her friends laughed at her.

“I am glad they saved you earlier,” Jia said.

“Well, it’s because of Jinho,” Y/N said as she smiled making Kino and Shinwon quite surprised.

“Wait! Tell me Y/N, do you and Mr. Jo Jinho already know each other?” Shinwon asked.

“To be honest, we talked to each other earlier and he let me call him with his name only,” Y/N said.

“Wow! It seems you are a special employee, huh?” Kino said then Y/N just chuckled.

“I think so. Anyways, let’s go now and I am getting hungry,” Y/N said then all of them nodded and went out of the pool and wash and went to the restaurant to have some afternoon snack. While they are having their snacks, someone joined them and they are…

“By the way, thank you to the three of you that you saved me from Doyun earlier,” Y/N said.

“No problem. To be honest, Mr. Jinho told us about it and we should watch his actions too,” Hongseok said.

“Oh! I see!” Y/N said as she smiled.

“Mr. Jinho told the three of you that you should watch Doyun’s actions?” Kino asked.

“Yup! We should be alert so that she will not be in trouble,” Yeo One said.

“But why did Mr. Jinho order you to do that?” Shinwon asked.

“It’s because…” Yuto was about to say something but…

“Yuto, tell us the reason," Shinwon said making Y/N get nervous about what would be Shinwon and Kino’s reaction if they will know that she and Jinho are in a relationship.

“It’s because Mr. Jinho told us that he knows that Doyun will do something bad to someone, especially to Y/N," Yuto said.

“Really? Mr. Jinho knows Doyun’s plans?” Kino asked.

“Yes! He also observes him in the office because he received some complaints of Doyun’s behavior towards other women,” Yuto said.

“Gosh! I thought Yuto will tell that Jinho and I are in a relationship,” Y/N thought.

“I really thought something is going on between Y/N and Mr. Jinho," Kino said making the others laugh including Y/N.

“But Kino is right,” Y/N thought as she slightly laughed. After they had their snack, Jia and Y/N decided to go back to their room.

“Y/N, you think Yuto made a story earlier so that he will not reveal that you and Mr. Jinho are now in a relationship?” Jia asked.

“I think so. But to be honest, when I still had a relationship with Doyun, I heard some complaints about him. At first, I didn’t believe it but there was one time I saw him that he is touching someone but that woman is very uncomfortable and kept shoving his hands away from her thigh which made me angry with him and I suddenly stopped his filthy actions towards that woman and slapped him hard and at that moment, I broke up with him. I shouldn’t have trusted him from the start. He is a total jerk!” Y/N said.

“You are right! You deserve better and that is Mr. Jinho,” Jia said as she smiled.

“I agree with you. I didn’t expect he will make some effort to protect me even though I didn’t notice it,” Y/N said as she smiled back. As time goes by, it was already evening and after their dinner, when Y/N was about to go somewhere, someone held her hand and it was Jinho.

“Jinho!” Y/N said as she smiled.

“Y/N, come with me and prepare for yourself because I will now introduce you as my girlfriend and will make Doyun feel that it’s his unlucky day," Jinho said which made Y/N's eyes go wide.

“Right now?” Y/N asked then Jinho nodded and smiled brightly then Y/N blushed.

“OMG! This is the moment of truth!” Y/N thought and she just nodded. Then Y/N and Jinho suddenly went onto the stage making her friends surprised except for Jia.

“Why is Y/N with Mr. Jinho?” Kino asked.

“I don’t know!” Jia said.

“It seems Mr. Jinho has the guts to tell everyone about their relationship. I am so happy for Y/N!" Jia thought. At that time, Y/N got nervous as everyone is looking at them with confused faces, especially Doyun.

“Why is that man in that stage and what he will tell to everyone? Also, why does Y/N have to be with him?” Doyun thought

“Good evening, everyone! Are you all having fun with our company outing?" Jinho asked then all of them agreed but Doyun is surprised.

“What is he talking about?” Doyun asked someone beside him and that person laughed at him.

“Doyun, I don’t know why the hell you don’t know him and he is Mr. Jo Jinho the CEO of PTG Group of companies!" the man said making Doyun's eyes go wide.

“Oh shit! I am doomed!” Doyun thought but when he was about to leave the hall, Jinho saw him and…

“Well, it will be Doyun’s unlucky night,” Y/N thought as she smirked.

“Umm… Mr. Jinho I will just go to the bathroom,” Doyun said as he tried to smile at him but Jinho smirked.

“Really? But you should listen first to my announcement. So, please take a sit first,” Jinho said then Doyun gulped and went back to his seat.

“Shit! What is he going to announce?” Doyun thought.

Jinho groans a bit and runs his hand through his hair, before resting his hand on your back, before running his fingers down your spine. “Well, you aren’t quitting on me. Anxiety washed over you from head to toe, rising with each passing second. You clasped a trembling hand to your chest to feel your heart fluttering against your ribcage.

Taking a deep breath, you steeled yourself before pushing open the glass door to work.

The publishing office was bright with mellow, natural lighting, an open room dotted with large desks cluttered with stationary. Some of your coworkers had already arrived and had busied themselves with various tasks - bustling distractedly around the room.

“G-Good morning, everyone!”

You tried to announce your presence as boldly as you could; despite this, barely anyone bothered to even glance in your direction. You swallowed nervously and made a bee-line for your desk.

New to the workforce and fresh from University, acclimatising had been a difficult journey. No one was willing to sacrifice any precious time to help you - or even welcome you, for that matter. You felt utterly ostracised by the team. They had all apparently established their clique, and you were not invited.

The one exception had been the lead editor: Jo Jinho, your boss and the office eye candy.

“Good morning, (F/n).”

As if reading your thoughts, Jinho’s melodic voice drifted over your shoulder. You swallowed, feeling sweat prickle your armpits in response to his presence.

“You look bright today. I hope you’re making good progress on that manuscript.”

You pivoted in your chair to face him, in turn becoming stricken by his gaze. There was something unusual about Jinho, something that had successfully hypnotised many of your coworkers, including yourself.

He was impossible to resist. From his handsome exterior to his pleasant interior, he was genuinely mesmerising - like the sunrise in the morning after a cold night.

“Y-Yes, thank you,” you stammered, forcing a polite smile. Jinho’s smile in response was a thousand watts bright, his creased eyes just as radiant.

He was gone just as quickly as he had appeared, interacting with everyone else on the path to his desk. Your nerves melted from your taut muscles, and you breathed a sigh of relief, secretly thankful that Jinho had moved on. Being beneath his attention was too challenging to handle. You withdrew your laptop from your bag and made a start on work for the day.

Unfortunately, your concentration was coming through like a sputtering hose. You were not yet accustomed to working in a room with ten other people and limited silence.

Your attention drifted around the office. You observed conversations, watching as a young girl was scolded; a middle-aged man answered the phone with a frustrated visage.

You could not help but become drawn to Jinho.

He was hovering over someone’s shoulder - Seunghee, you vaguely remembered her name to be. Girls in the editing team tended to ask him for help suspiciously frequently. It was apparent they all simply longed after Jinho’s presence.

Admittedly, it was tempting. In that position, you could feel his breath against your ear.

You quickly became absorbed in observing him. It was not just his pretty features. His expressions were genuine, his explanations clear and concise. Fully believing you were free to admire him, you forgot your surroundings and lost yourself.

Abruptly, Jinho’s gaze shifted from Seunghee’s work to you. It was such a subtle shift that you almost failed to notice it. Electricity shot across your skin upon realisation, heat blossoming from your ears to your cheeks.

Though it was too late, you looked back to your computer screen. Out of the corner of your eyes, you could see him grinning. That cruel image worsened your embarrassment.

As your mind buzzed with thoughts of Jinho’s grin, you struggled to return your focus to the manuscript as much as you tried. You huffed frustratedly.

“Everything okay, (F/n)?”

You wondered with horror if he intended to make things more difficult. Your humiliation should have been apparent, and yet here he was, standing directly behind you with a hand resting on the back of your chair.

“Y-Yes,” you responded, refusing to tear your eyes from your laptop. You could hear your voice quaking.

His palm settled on your desk, confining you. It was no longer possible to pretend he wasn’t there. His face was far too close for you to deal with.

“Really? Hmm,” He hummed, “There must be some other reason you were staring at me then.”

You could not even begin to imagine how crimson your face was. Was Jinho teasing you? It certainly felt like it.

He snorted faintly, withdrawing. On the edge of your vision, you could see him smiling broadly.

After getting very little work done for the rest of the afternoon, you opted to stay behind and work overtime. The manuscript was due tomorrow evening, after all.

The office buzz began to fade, gradually declining till the room was entirely quiet. The only thing disconnecting the silence was the sound of fingers against keyboards.

You decided to take a short break as your fatigue began to increase. Shadows from the night sky crept across the floor. Usually, you liked to be fed and warm at home by this time. Your eyelids were heavy, your thoughts sluggish and tired.

It was only you and Jinho remaining at this stage. You had managed to keep your thoughts away from him until now. He was wrapped up in his work; his face blank with concentration. Sighing, you ignored him and returned to your own business.

The words on your laptop screen began to blend with each passing second. You squinted, blinking rapidly to counter the weariness that was dousing you like warm water. You had never been so tired at work - it was as if you were being dragged down by an invisible force, and nothing you did could stop it. It was a similar sensation to having too much alcohol.

Before you knew it, your head had lulled onto the cold desk, crumpling the papers in front of you.

Alarm overwhelmed your thoughts as you lifted your head from your desk.

You could not believe you had fallen asleep at work. Rubbing your eyes, you looked towards Jinho’s desk in panic, hoping to apologise and then flee. Relief washed over you - his chair was empty. Perhaps he had gone home.

Strangely enough, the room was hazy. Instead of its usual white light, it was rose-tinted and clouded. It did not look familiar to you.

“You fell asleep? How cute.”

You blinked, and Jinho seemed to appear directly beside you, seated on the table with one leg crossed over the other. He was admiring you, cupping his cheek whilst wearing an affectionate smile.

It took a moment for you to react; your head was abnormally thick, so your thoughts were slow, but once you realised what was happening, you became flustered.

“Your face tells me everything - your expressions are so honest. It’s adorable.”

Jinho leapt smoothly to his feet, circling you to place his hands on the back of your swivel chair and then rotating you till you were facing him. You could do nothing, frozen with anticipation and unsure what to expect next.

He leant in closely, leaning on the armrests, and you held your breath. His nose was close enough to brush against yours, yet his expression was unchanged - still as sweet as usual.

“Why don’t you let me make you feel good?” He hummed. His gaze was direct, and you swooned inwardly when you finally met it. In contrast to his soft nature, his eyes were hard. You tried to swallow but your throat had gone dry.

“Wh-what if someone sees?” You stammered shyly.

Jinho chuckled, his eyes crinkling in amusement, “no one will see. I promise.”

He placed his hands on your knees, maintaining eye contact as he rubbed reassuringly. He pushed his hands up your thighs, catching the fabric of your skirt and baring your thighs to the air. You could not look away, dizzyingly mesmerised by him. Your head was getting light and hot.
