I think the TMA fandom would benefit from the terms Favourite and Evil Favourite to describe episodes. Fav being the episode you love to listen to, and Evil Fav being the one you love to death but have to listen to frozen completely still and squinting between your fingers as if that's going to help with the audio-based horrors. (Spoilers for TMA and TMAGP below.)

Just remembered that Jonah’s desiccated original corpse was in the tunnels in TMA and had a flurry of TMAGP theories sprout in my brain. (I haven’t been in the fandom much recently, so apologies if any of this has already been said elsewhere.)

Maybe the thing coming out of the trap door in ep 10 is Jonah’s og zombie corpse? The body holding Jonah’s eyes and consciousness may have died, but in TMA it was indicated that this body needed to be killed in order to kill Jonah, or at least to kick him out of the Panopticon’s seat of power to make way for Martin. If it has any trace of life or Jonah (or just The Eye) left in it, maybe it could have slowly dragged itself up to that trap door over the years.

On that matter, maybe Elias became the new Jonah in this universe too, and that’s why Gwen is trying to learn more about this supernatural world. She either knew he had been changed, or she wants to know what happened that led to his death/disappearance after the fire - assuming that’s what happened to Elias in this world. (That or maybe Elias was also in the “gifted program” and something went terribly wrong.) something something we thought Alice was the new Tim but alas it was Gwen the whole time etc.

If Jonah was pulled from the TMA universe and isekai’ed into an ancient computer along with jmart, maybe he’s able to reach out to this parallel version of this body, possessing it to interact with the world or just puppeteering it.

On the subject of the fearsome threesome stuck in a computer, there is also the question of what “Chester”s game is, seemingly leading Sam on to fish around in the Magnus Institute ruins. Maybe his last message was a warning not to do this, but Sam seemed pretty resigned to not getting answers before that statement from artifact storage. Maybe “Chester” wanted to free a version of Jon himself from the tunnels, or maybe there’s a disconnect between the actions of “Jon” trying to lead Sam to answers and “Chester” sharing a forum thread in the first ep seemingly warning Sam to stay away from the Magnus Institute. Then again, maybe this too was trying to send Sam to the institute, since Sam seemed to have not thought about his experiences there for a long time. So maybe this whole thing really is Jon leading Sam to uncover these things, not wanting to be “another goddamn mystery,” and maybe the the thing crawling out of the basement is related to Jon. OR maybe there’s nothing stopping a trapped Jonah from using Jon’s voice for his own ends. After all, that email to Sam may have been from “Jon,” but consider that the first three letters of Jonah’s name are indeed J O N OH HO HO I SEE WHAT YOU’RE DOING JONNY, THEY CALLED ME MAD BUT I SAW THROUGH YOU THIS WHOLE TIME-

1- my otp from tma... that's definitely a hard one to answer. obviously i'm a huge nerd for jmart/simswood, but i also adore terminal velocity, like, wayyy more than i should. and doorkeay has been growing on me a lot recently... but basira and daisy have such an interesting dynamic... ughhh lol there's too many!! for tmagp, tho, i'd have to say dyhard. LETS GO LESBIANS >:DDD

2- honestly, i adore their opposite aesthetics. dark goth meets a literal kaleidoscope... it makes the fanart SO fun. i also love how they're the same but opposite-- michael basically knew nothing about the fears, was under the impression that gertrude was harmless and that the world was safe and normal, and then got killed/eaten by the most abnormal, otherworldly, mind-bending sect of a fear. Gerry always knew the fears, had basically grown up with them; he knew how dangerous Gertrude was and, similarly, how fucked up the world was; and yet, his death came from something as ultimately human as brain cancer. they're such an intriguing duo.

The whole idea of Jon's martyr complex, "the only way I can solve this is by offering myself up to death" and then Martin having to talk them down, remind them that there's more to life than whatever battle they are obsessing over and whatever destiny they have to fulfil and being an anchor to the world of the living oh my god. "all of us, some of us love you" the acceptance of Jon being prickly and unfriendly to most people but still having at least one person who loves him (Martin, maybe Georgie), the wherever you go, i'm going, jump and i'm jumping (fuck), the idea of having an audience, hating the fact that you have an intrinsic horrible need to See and Be Seen, the idea of it being a pointless resistance and how jon had no choice in it all, really, the use of alcohol vs cigarettes as a coping mechanism, THE EXTERNAL VOICES TELLING HIM TO JUMP (elias, the eye, his own self hatred), how Jon was never really brave but martin made him braver oh my fucking god its perfect

So those were some episodes

My brownies didn’t burn they were still gooey after 30 minutes in the oven which is nice (not)

So Sam passed out the prior episode and survived which we all can yippie at that. Passing out and having no control of your body is very traumatising and for Sam to instantly panic and decide that dealing with ERROR was his priority is. Concerning. But god he is going to do the exact same thing as Jonathan. Celia not wanting for him to go alone but while also hating the idea of even entertaining ERROR at all seems like an accurate response. I feel like people experiencing the horrors together feels more relevant in this rather than TMA but still all the inescapable horrors happen alone anyways. I had something i was meant to add one but ill mention it in another post

The case the case the case. Chester read it thanks Jonathan for that. Two old lovers went to their most important place of travel where Stan proposed and they had locked their love on the bridge. They then went into a ‘Lock Museum’ and gained an ivory key and looked at all the locks there. A saying was found Unlock your love which referenced the act of killing your lover and setting your love for them go to escape. We can assume she didn’t love him after escaping as she said she “wouldn’t miss him”. Nothing too alchemy themed here really and it was just a case about two lovers who had to sacrifice the other to escape the horrors oh it’s Jmart again of fucking course. No words after that fuck you Chester. Bring back Norris 2024.

I don't consider Micheal Distortion to be a male character since that goes against its nature, but I will say upfront that the Distortion and its surrounding characters (Micheal Shelly and Helen) are my favourites. It's more like five different characters all tied together

Girl was trapped in there for weeks. She spent that time wandering around aimlessly until the Distortion got sick of Micheal and decided to tear her who from her what and replace the vessel that was Micheal with her. Goddamn Johnny
