currently working on revisiting all of got7's music (starting from jj project's bounce ep, and going chronologically to present) both to get a little nostalgic and also hype myself up for their january comeback. just finished a close listen of got it? (2014; the debut release) and have the following notes to share on the era:

jinyoung's rap skills are so underrated. both in the jjp ep, and "follow me", his rap verses have a speed and clarity to them that i for one have been sleeping on.

the thought that the jyp marketing team looked at these silly little 16-20 year olds and said "their debut concept is gonna be playboys" will never not be incomprehensible. bambam looks like an absolute baby when this album came out and they we’re like, "yeah, let’s have him rap about being so attractive he must have ate a magnet". youngjae is giving puppy eyes as he sings "girls, girls, girls, they love me."

(on the other hand, i think jackson heard the song "hello" for the first time and said "oh, that's my stage persona for the next 8 years at least...")

if i had been in the audience for even ONE instance of mark and jackson's martial arts tricking, i would have screamed so loud that i wouldn't have a voice today, 10 years later.

the collective vocal riffs that jaebeom and youngjae are serving at every chance... iconic. they have a brand and it's been here since the beginning!

"Trains across Europe: City breaks in Rotterdam " De Unie Cafe'

Café De Unie is a building from 1925 designed by architect JJP Oud . In the design, Oud used the primary colors, sleek letters and rectangular shapes of De Stijl. The locals didn't react well to this ultra-modern design at the time, the cafe' was closed after just one year and the facade painted over in grey.

The original building was located on Calandplein and was destroyed in 1940. In 1986, a replica of the facade was built on the Mauritsweg.

Oud had in fact became internationally famous as a pioneer of modern construction. De Stijl had also become an art movement of international significance and Café de Unie is now considered an icon of modern architecture.
