okra — no/or his way of disagreeing or disapproving.

macaroni — him expressing uncertainty; the tone and context varies.

banana pudding — this depends on context. it could express excitement or apprehension. either way he may or may not be attempting to quickly grab someone’s attention.

sweet potato — him expressing genuine satisfaction; this is less in an excitable way and more-so content.

0. THE HEIR

Yutaka Endo had taken a drastic decision. He was well aware of the fact that it was frowned upon to teach Kage to a female member of the clan, but his granddaughter was his last resort in order to keep the family's traditions alive and restore its name in the Jujutsu World.

Chizuru was indeed way too young to be taught the technique. But she had shown a great aptitude in the manipulation of cursed energy since the day she was born, so Yutaka knew that he had made the right choice.

Not that he had any other options, anyways.

His only son, Hansuke, had refused to learn how to use Kage and opted to craft a technique of his own.

His daughter Hekima, on the other hand, had been deemed unsuitable for the task by the other members of the family.

This, along with the fact that he knew that he would not have been alive long enough to teach it to his grandson, led the leader of the Endo clan to appoint Chizuru as his heir.

The only thing left for the man to do was to announce it to the other members of the family.

"Are you crazy?" the scream of Hansuke Endo resounded in the living room of the clan's main residence "She cannot be the last one to be taught Kage, let alone the next leader of the clan! What has gotten into your mind?"

Yutaka sat in front of his son, unfazed by his words.

"Considering that it was you who refused to learn it, and thus are now unable to pass it down onto your children, you cannot come here and make any demands on the matter. Your son is yet to be born, and even though Chizuru is just six years old she has proven to be up to the task" he paused "I have taken my decision. She will begin training with me next year"

Hansuke groaned in annoyance. He knew that he couldn't do anything to change his father's mind, so he sat up and got out of the room, soon followed by his wife.

It was clear that from that moment on Chizuru was not going to live an easy life. But it was, hopefully, for the best.

1996

Yutaka stood in front of his granddaughter, in the middle of the old training room which he hadn't walked into in a long time.

"You need to pay attention, Chizuru. As next leader of the Endo clan, you will have to know Kage like the back of your hand" he explained, to which the young girl nodded in response.

"You will learn the art of Jujutsu and master the use of cursed energy. I don't have much time, so you will need to catch on as quickly as you can. Understood?"

Chizuru smiled widely, holding up the wooden replica of his grandfather's katana, before exclaiming "Understood!" and copied his motions as he got into a fighting stance.

Yutaka hoped to find some sort of interest in her eyes, and he got exactly what he wanted.

2004

Chizuru grew up to be magnificent.

She had great potential, her grandfather could see it. His other grandchildren were similarly powerful, but it seemed like they were unable to understand the seriousness of their role.

If only Yutaka could be there just a little bit longer, he would have been able to teach her even more.

But fate had other plans.

If you're reading this I, Yutaka Endo, son of Haruki, have departed from the mortal plane.

Even though it was disclosed that you would be my successor, I know that it will be your father who will take on the role of clan leader until you become of age. It will hopefully be for your best, as you will be able to get a proper education and strengthen yourself even more.

I have already arranged for you to start attending Tokyo Jujutsu High as soon as you turn 15, which is very soon.

You have a great burden on your shoulders, one that I have imposed on you, and I hope that you will not divert from the correct path and fall victim to your family's wrongdoings.

There is much that you still have to learn, but you have to let time run its course.

I have faith in you, little dove, and I trust that you will do great things.

“Eternity awaits

The rhythm of the light tubes in the emergency room flickered with an eerie monotony, marking the passage of a night that felt endless. Soren sat in the waiting room chair, trying to ignore the sharp pain running through his arm. He had spent most of the night trying to stop the bleeding from his wound in the sink of his small apartment, but with each passing moment, the flow grew more insistent, like a river overflowing its banks. When he could no longer bear the pain and dizziness, he forced himself to leave his solitary refuge and go to the emergency room.

His mind was a chaos of unanswered questions. How had he obtained these strange powers that manifested themselves in the form of an uncontrollable force? What had killed that creature in the darkness? Images from the previous night repeated themselves in his mind, like an endless reel of terror and confusion. Every time he tried to piece together the events, it felt like he was trying to grasp water with his hands – everything was slipping away, leaving him with the feeling that what had happened was bigger and darker than he could comprehend.

The nurse gave him a sympathetic look before he was wheeled into a treatment room. Questions continued to torment him, filling the void left by physical agony. Was he going to die? The thought settled into his mind with terrifying clarity. Every beat of his heart seemed to confirm the darkest fear – that of an impending fate, sealed by a force he did not understand and could not control.

The thought that more creatures might follow him now that he had killed one of them terrified him even more. The feeling of being hunted by something beyond his understanding was oppressive. He wondered if, in his desperation and struggle, he had attracted something bigger and more dangerous. The world, which had once seemed limited and monotonous, had now expanded into an infinite and dangerous darkness.

As the nurse cleaned and bandaged his wound, Soren tried to focus on something, anything but the pain. He thought of the piano, of the keys that used to offer him comfort. He wondered if he could ever get his messy life back, the life he had known before all this began. The piano was a refuge, a place where his emotions could meet in harmony, where notes could express what words could not. But now, even that safety seemed distant and almost illusory.

His distrust, which had once been a protective shield, had now become a prison. Distrust of others had mixed with distrust of himself, creating an inextricable knot in his mind. Questions about his identity and his intentions grew more confusing with each passing second. Was he able to control his powers, or were they meant to consume him? Could he ever learn to live with this new reality, or was he doomed to an existence of fear and isolation?

The nurse offered him a gentle smile before exiting the room, leaving him alone with his thoughts and the flickering fluorescent lights. In that silence, Soren was faced with the overwhelming truth: he was unsure of anything, not even himself. The night he had witnessed and the wounds he carried with him had not only changed his body, but had also altered his perception of reality. Everything he had known was in danger of crumbling, and the future stretched out before him like a vast, unknown darkness.

—Was I destined to succumb to a life of suffering and eventually die? — Soren muttered, no one was with him in the room, so shouting his thoughts was already a natural thing along with overthinking things.

Maybe, there is someone who went through or went through the same thing as me that can help me, he hopelessly thought once he saw the nurse come back in, now accompanied by the doctor. While the doctor provided him with instructions that he should be paying attention to, his ears only rang, cutting off any sound that the outside provides, and only the echo of several voices inside him could be heard. Maybe I'm not the only one. But how the hell will I find someone to help me without sounding like a madman? The nurse took some medicines and handed them to Soren.

—These will be the prescribed medicines, the time is marked on the prescription.

Soren just nodded, he hadn't heard anything.

Maybe, just maybe, he could find someone who would help him, but how? Who? Where are they? He wants to keep hope, but he won't let himself have it.

Help me, please. Aching with the feeling of screaming in pain. He just swallowed his thoughts with an uncomfortable lump in his chest.

— Are you sure we're in the right place? — a strict voice was heard deep between the walls of the alley. Green eyes shooting venom towards the raven head of the boy in front of them, the boy just nodded, watching the two dogs sniffing the place.

—Their sense of smell is the best, just be patient — just when the boy finished speaking, one of the two dogs barked, both teens ran towards him — we were definitely not in the wrong place.

—What the hell killed it? — the girl's green eyes opened wide as she saw the scene in front of her, remains of flesh lay scattered everywhere, blood painted the walls like graffiti, while piles of cursed energy surrounded the entire place, both looked at each other with frowns.

—Whatever it was, the cursed energy is greater than that of the first grade curse— the boy said.

They left the alley, the raven rapidly texting on his phone, while the girl looked around for any trace that could help them. The cursed energy in that alley was very different from that of a curse, but what is more powerful than a first-degree curse? Is it a rogue sorcerer? Or did another curse kill it? Whatever it was, it is certain that they must remain on guard for any activity during these days.

"NA! NA! MIN!" Our footsteps halted as we heard chants echoing through the city.

"Is that..." Megumi started.

"Yuuji?" I questioned, looking around to see which direction it had come from.

"NA! NA! MIIIN!" He screamed again, sending panic through our veins. Nanami looked slightly alarmed as we tried to figure out where Yuuji was.

"NANAMIN, ARE YOU THERE?" We were silent as we listened to him.

"GOJO SENSEI... HAS BEEN SEALED!!" He exclaimed, causing us all to gasp in unison.

My heart dropped and shattered. Gojo? Sealed? Gojo of all people? What have they done? Who did this?

Yuuji's screams continued as we tried to figure out a way to locate him.

"Seiko, remember when I was injured and you were able to look at me at an atomic level?" Megumi turned to me, as did the others.

I nodded in response, questioning the relevance as he continued.

"Do you think you could do that on a larger scale? Or at least pin-point Itadori's cursed energy?" He suggested.

I suddenly remembered the training I had undergone with Gojo Sensei to refine this skill. He taught me how to effectively use my cursed energy to look at things at an atomic level on a larger scale.

I nodded, slightly nervous as I took deep breaths and closed my eyes.

"Let the cursed energy follow the flow of your blood. Let it enter every blood vessel and reach your entire body. From head to toe, you should have an even amount of cursed energy coursing through you" I recalled Gojo Sensei's words as calmed my mind, letting cursed energy flow all the way to my finger tips.

My body glowed, the aquamarine aura of my cursed energy spilling from each pore.

"Now think. Focus on what you're trying to achieve. Focus on connecting your cursed energy with that of the objects that surround you." I could see the buildings and people that surrounded me in my mind as I focused on their cursed energy.

"Itadori Yuuji." I muttered as I tried to remember what his cursed energy felt like. Suddenly, a pleasurable jolt prung through me. I smiled as an image of Yuuji had been formed in my mind. I memorised the route towards where he was located before reopening my eyes.

"I found him." I declared as I pointed left and started sprinting.

The others ran behind me, following the pace I set as we bolted towards the shouts that seemed never-ending.

The voice seemed to grow louder as we approached a building, huge in size. We bolted up the stairs, each step adding an extra wheeze as I tried to catch my breath. We finally reached the top, greeted by Yuuji, who was still shouting.

"NA! NA! MIIII!!" He screamed as we covered our ears, the echo of his booming voice hurting us.

"We're here." Megumi said simply.

Yuuji must not have heard him, continuing his yelling from the top of the building.

"NA-NA-MIN!!!"

Megumi rolled his eyes as he repeated himself, this time slightly louder.

"NA-NA-MIN! NA-NA-MIN!NA-NA-NA-NA-NANAMIN!!!!"

"Hey..." Megumi spoke, trying to get his attention.

Yuuji took a deep breath before continuing his chants.

"NA! NA -" He choked oh his words as Megumi hit him in the back of the head, his face expressionless as ever.

"Oh! Nanamin, Fushiguro, Seiko! And... who are you?" He pointed between Shoji and Ino.

"Why, if it isn't THE Itadori Yuuji, in the flesh?!" Shoji announced flamboyantly, strutting towards Yuuji.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet someone as... messed up as you! You must have some serious trauma, kid. But it'll make for on hell of a story to tell your future kids!!" Shoji held his hand out for Yuuji to shake, which Yuuji took hesitantly.

"What's up with this guy?" He whispered to me as I rolled my eyes.

Shoji stepped back, clearly offended by Yuuji's question.

"Moi? I feel beyond disrespected! I am Shoji Okumoto, the first and only Okumoto to become a special-grade sorcerer before the age of 25!" He introduced himself, bowing as if he had just performed at a concert.

"I'm seriously gonna kick this guy..." I muttered to myself.

Yuuji looked between the two of us frantically. He gasped as he came to realise who he was.

"Is this your dad? It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." Yuuji bowed to him at a 90-degree angle.

Shoji's face contorted with utter disbelief.

"Father?!? Do I look that old? I use an anit-ageing cream every day! Oh my!" He ran to the nearest window, checking out his reflection for any blemishes or imperfections.

"That's her brother, dimwit..." Megumi clarified as Yuuji felt a pang of guilt.

"I sincerely apologise! It's not that you look old, you're just really tall!"

"Well, of course I am! When you're this amazing, the height is necessary to -" I hit Shoji's head before he could proceed.

"Stop repeating yourself! And stop getting distracted by this imbecile everyone! We have much bigger problems at hand!" I gathered everyone attention as they all became serious.

"Gojo has been sealed, so there's no time to waste. We have to start moving, or doomsday will soon be upon us." Nanami ordered as we all got ready to depart.
