Chapter 1:

You always had a passion for collecting antiques that were special from people who passed. Your small apartment was a treasure trove of items from different eras, each item holding its own story. One day, while walking through the bustling streets of your university you stumbled upon a stall ran by a fellow student.

"These are genuine antiques from my grandmother's collection," the student said, gesturing to an array of items.

Clocks, paintings, coins, ceramics were displayed on the table. Looking through the items, your eyes were immediately drawn to a dusty old bottle. It was intricately designed, with strange symbols etched into its surface.

Was it religious? Was it passed down from older generations?

"How much for this?" you asked, picking up the bottle.

The student shrugged, unhappy that you chose something cheap. "Not much. How about twenty bucks?"

You were overjoyed when handling the money. There was a strange pull that you had towards the bottle, you could feel it in your heart.

Back in your apartment, you set the bottle on your shelf among your other antiques. Looking beautifully, you pulled out your phone, ready to take a photo of everything nicely set up together.

"Perfect."

Suddenly, a vapor of some sort came out of the vase. The air around you started to become very dusty, causing you to cough violently.

"Shoot, she's not going to get bronchitis right?" you heard a male speaking.

What? When did a guy come into your room?

"Its going to be fine, don't worry. This isn't life threatening,"

Out of the smoke, four figures emerged. Satoru Gojo, with his cocky grin; Kento Nanami, looking as serious as ever; Toji Fushiguro, the man that looks like he could crush bricks with his bare hands; and Suguru Geto, a calm yet dangerous look to his eyes.

You blinked her eyes, where did these handsome men come from?!

Gojo smirked at walked closer to you, "We're genies, sweetheart. And it looks like you've just released us."

Nanami adjusted his glasses, "What he said was correct, you might or might've not accidentally released us."

Toji, with the same smirk as Gojo walked closer to you and twirled your hair. "So, what's your first wish, my little collector?"

Geto remained silent, observing you with a curious gaze.

"I didn't know what you guys were! I just....bought the bottle because I like antiques.." you said, showing them your table, not answering his question.

Gojo smirked and walked closer to you, "Well, now you have four powerful genies at your service...this is going to be fun. For you and us."

As you tried to wrap your head around the situation, you realised that your life would change to your liking now.

"So," Nanami lowered his stylish glasses as he glanced through your university schedule.

"Global Social Responsibility at 8:00 a.m tomorrow?" he pushed his glasses back up.

You closed your eyes and nodded. You hated that subject to it's core, especially because it required you to wake up that early!

Nanami noticed your disheartened look and tried to cheer you up.

"Don't worry, we'll get your breakfast ready for you. It hurts my heart to see you unhappy." Gojo suddenly spoke up.

The next morning, you woke up in a blur. For a moment, you wondered if the events of the previous evening had been just a bizarre dream ; it’s been tough in class these few days with assignments pilling on each other. But the sound of four genies squabbling around you apartment quickly dispelled that notion.

“Satoru! Put those down! We’re trying to help y/n, not perverse on her! Do you want to let your genie licence revoked?!” you saw Nanami scolding Satoru who was bringing your clothes up to his nose.

“I’m not! I just want to make sure she’s going to smell her very best!” Satoru sulked and crossed his arms.

Who knew that genies would be like this.

As you hurriedly prepared herself, your mind raced with the excitement of sharing your incredible discovery with your few friends. What would they think? How would they react? You could hardly contain your excitement as you grabbed your bag and headed for the door.

Just as you reached for the doorknob, Nanami stepped into your path, his expression stern.

"Y/N, we need to talk."

Was it because you didn’t finish your breakfast? Well, you usually grab a bar from the university’s canteen if you got hungry.

You blinked up at him, slightly taken aback by his serious demeanor. "What is it, Nanami? I'm going to be late for class."

Nanami folded his arms across his chest, his gaze unwavering. "You can't tell anyone about us. This is a secret that must remain hidden from the outside world."

Your shoulders slumped. "But why? This is the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me! I want to share it with the few friends I have...."

Nanami shook his head. "There are many reasons, Y/N. If people found out about us, it could lead to chaos. Others might try to exploit our powers or put us in danger. For your safety and ours, it's best that you keep this to yourself."

Gojo, who had been lazily lounging on the couch, sat up and grinned. "Listen to Nanami, Y/N. It's more fun this way, anyway. Think of it as our little secret." and he winked. You could feel your heart racing slightly faster.

Toji leaned against the wall, arms crossed, and nodded in agreement. "He's right. People get crazy over stuff like this. You don't want that kind of attention."

Geto, who had been quietly observing the exchange, spoke up softly. "We are bound to you, Y/N. Keeping our existence a secret is part of that bond. We trust you to make the right decision."

“Besides that, no one else can see us except for you, darling.” Toji explained.

You sighed, the weight of their words sinking in. "Alright, I understand. I won't tell anyone."

Nanami's expression softened slightly. "Thank you. It's for the best."

With a reluctant nod, you left your apartment and headed to school. Throughout the day, you found it difficult to focus on your classes. Your mind kept drifting back to the genies and the strange, magical world you had stumbled into. You longed to share her secret, but you knew you had to keep it to herself.

During lunch, your friend Utahime noticed your distraction. "Hey, Y/N, are you okay? You seem a bit off today."

You forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just didn't get much sleep last night, it’s probably just the final assignments for Mr. Ijichi’s class."

"And I..." Nanami suddenly spoke.

"am the jack of all trades." he grabbed your ponytail, causing you to gasp.

"I'm a master at both physical and magical training, and offer practical advice for everyday challenges. Think of me as your versatile support. I also keep the group focused on what we were made to do."

With the roles clearly defined, you felt a sense of balance and reassurance. Each genie had a unique way of contributing to your growth and protection, and together, they formed a perfect team.

Satoru, overhearing the conversation, immediately walked over. "What did she say?" he asked, his usual cheerful demeanor replaced with concern. He also quirked his eyebrow as he heard you call someone in your class handsome

You handed him the phone, and he read the message, his expression darkening. "That's not okay, Y/N. No one should treat you like that."

Toji cracked his knuckles, a dangerous glint in his eye. "Want me to pay her a visit?"

"Oh please, Toji! She wouldn't show you this side of her. She's only like this to me. Probably wants me to drop out..." you sulked.

Toji smirked and ruffled your hair. "Don't let her get to you, lil one. You're stronger than that. And if she keeps it up, she'll have to answer to me." You smiled at him and asked, "Hey, if they can't see you guys, how can you touch them?"

Toji's smirk widened as he leaned back, crossing his arms. "Simple. We're connected to you, so we can interact with anything or anyone that affects you directly. It's part of our bond."

Satoru chimed in, grinning, "And it means we can protect you without anyone knowing we're even there. Pretty cool, huh?". He then proceeded to hug you from behind, his arms wrapping around you warmly. Again, you received a message.

"I saw you smiling at nothing in class today. Are you mentally ill? Hopefully the lecturers would just kick you out of the class. -aira"

You frowned as you read the message, feeling the sting of Aira's words. Why wouldn't she just leave you alone? Nanami noticed your expression and gently took your phone from your hand. After reading the message, his eyes darkened with concern.

"She just won't leave me alone...." you mumbled softly to him.

Toji flexing his muscles moved closer. "Sounds like someone needs a lesson in manners."

"Do you really think beating her up would teach her manners?" Nanami shook his head at Toji.

Toji shrugged, a sly grin on his face. "It would be satisfying, though."

Suguru stepped in, his voice calm and measured. "There are better ways to handle this. We'll help you find a way to stand up to her without resorting to violence."

Satoru nodded, still holding you protectively. "Yeah, we'll figure this out together. No one messes with our y/n and gets away with it."

Blushing, you felt as if you were in a dream. Surrounded by these powerful genies who were so protective and caring, you couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and security.

"Thanks, everyone," you murmured, trying to hide your embarrassment. "I don't know what I'd do without you guys."

Satoru tightened his hug slightly, resting his chin on your shoulder. "No need to worry about that. We're here for you, always."

"Buying the vase that you guys were in was the best day of my life!" you exclaimed, hugging Satoru back.

Nanami, Toji, and Suguru were clearly jealous, their expressions ranging from annoyed to jealousy. Satoru smirked at them, his blue eyes were shining as bright as the sky.

"See? She knows who's the best genie around here," Satoru teased, enjoying the moment.

Nanami sighed, crossing his arms. "Don't get too full of yourself, Gojo."

Toji rolled his eyes. "Yeah, we'll see who she thinks is the best when I teach her how to fight."

Suguru simply smiled, his eyes softening as he looked at you. "We're all here for you, Y/N, in our own ways."

You laugh and shake your head. "Stop it, you guys~ I love each and every one of you equally." With a playful grin, you lean in and give each of their cheeks a kiss, making them all blush in surprise.

"Let's all sleep for now. Tomorrow I don't have classes, so maybe we can go to the park and Toji can teach me how to fight?" you suggest, feeling excited about the prospect of spending the day together.

Toji grins, eager to show off his skills. "I'll make sure you're all ready for anything."

With plans set for the next day, you all settle in for the night, feeling a sense of anticipation for the adventures that await. As you drift off to sleep, you can't help but feel grateful for the companionship and support of your genies, knowing that whatever challenges come your way, you'll face them together.

i don’t think jjk is horrible either!! there are a lot of things i enjoyed about it and i wouldn’t say it’s the worst thing to come out ever — it also suffers from having such a large fanbase that people are going to be disappointed no matter what direction gege goes in, so i have to give him that; however, agree, it’s not as peak as everyone says it is, and i think it’s fanbase would do well to recognize it for what it is (a normal shounen with slightly more gore but also with the regular pitfalls of the genre) sometimes i think the ending wouldn’t have been as disappointing if it hadn’t been hyped into smth beyond what it actually is yk 🤔 and honestly i don’t think it’s a failure of jjk to be that LMAO blue lock is very much so in that category and i still love that!! mostly because it is self aware and doesn’t try to do more than it has the capability for…instead it takes genre conventions and works inside them/expands on them (ego vs teamwork, the backstories of characters like snuffy) to maximize its impact?? idk if that makes sense HAHA like at the end of the day kaneshiro included anri’s hip waist bust measurements in the egoist bible and she’s also the only somewhat main female character so he’s not trying to beat the bad female cast allegations whatsoever he fr just threw chigiri in and called it a day but it works?? because he didn’t sit and say “hm how can we defy everyone’s expectations and astound the world” he was just like “ok soccer manga time”
