three facts about the youngest wutai child:1. fighting is in her blood

   AFTER THE STUPID days that she’s had, always being ambushed by her fighting instructor && shouted at when she doesn’t dodge the hits, Fujin is quite ready to fight. The moment that Yuffie-jiě leaps out of nowhere, shouting something about something, she is helpless in her reaction—a squeak of surprise, her leg flying out in that instinctive FIGHT response, && the the predictable gasp as her brain catches up with her body.

2. she gets easily embarrassed by teasing

   “Sister!”

   Kicking her elder sister? Big no no. Her cheeks flush red, showing clearly on her pale skin. She was going to get in so much trouble if Father found out… 

   Literally stumbling out of her kick, she catches herself on Yuffie-jiě’s arm, a pout scowl pulling at her lips as she glares at her silly impulsive elder sister. As short as she is, compared to her, Fujin could only employ the most basic of petty revenge—wrapping her arms around the other girl’s arm, && attempting to tug her down to her level.

   “..You should put on some clothes.” The moment the sight greeted him he immediately turned the other cheek, firm back facing her instead. Not out of disgust nor surprise though he did get caught with his hands in his pockets, but because he knows he’s no urge to engage in such things. There’s an absence of it, has for a decent while now, and in some respect holds shame to express that those things barely catch his attention now–more so with her because he’s still figuring out what they stand for when it comes to one another. Even if there’s some sort of restraint, he won’t indulge in that behavior anymore until he knows for certain. But she never brings it up, so neither will he; her silence revolving the subject should probably be a clear enough answer for him.

   “I brought you a gift, by the way.” He holds out a bag with his right hand. “I hope you like it.”

Certainly better than the year before. But I’d say....balanced? Both good & bad. The one thing  that kept me sane was this site, this blog & the amazing friends I met along the way. If I had one thing to be grateful for out of the entire year, it’d be that. Because without it? I truly don’t know where I’d be now.

No Religion Owns The Path Towards Enlightenment

The reason multiple spiritual practices and religions exhibit multiple overlaps and shared practices and teachings is because they're all touching on universal truths and the desire to claim that my camp is better than your camp is purely the ego at work. Declaring you and others like you are better than other people. Nevermind the fact that there are shared teachings. Constantly shouting that "my god is the true god" is the ego poisoning what should be a pure and healthy spiritual awakening and for many it's something that continues to perpetuate thoughts and feelings of separation from others instead of realizing and acknowledging that in truth we are all one despite the superficial and illusionary labels and factions we've been splitting ourselves into for thousands of years. Abandon your ego's need to look at fellow humans as "others" and instead remind yourself that we are all one. Jesus used terms like brothers to illustrate that we are all one and in the same family, yet modern Christians shamelessly and routinely hate people they don't see as similar to themselves, which only demonstrates their lack of understand and beliefs in what Jesus taught. What's even more remarkable is that much of what Jesus taught had already been established in other practices like Buddhism, so again these directions towards awakening are neutral to any religion. The model of the car you drive doesn't impact your ability to get to your destination, it only matters that you're following the directions to the destination of truth correctly. Those directions and truths are universal. What's brilliant about what Jesus taught is the many ways forgiveness helps us. First you do your part in restoring peace in your life and heart, peace being the natural order of the universe. Constantly thinking and dreading the past and other people are toxic by design and helps you let go of the past. Whenever thoughts from the past pop in your mind, ask the Holy Spirit to purge them from you so you can let go of the past and live in the present moment in addition to doing your part in restoring peace into your mind, body and soul. Even better when explicitly make peace and forgive people you had falling outs with. Jesus put it succinctly when he said 'blessed be the peacemakers' which in short says you'll receive a lot of benefits making peace with others in your life. If others aren't willing to meet you half way or reconcile, that's on them but at least you did your part in forgiving them and leaving the past behind you. Your mind and thoughts are always creating your future so people dreading a miserable past on a constant basis will only set the stage for even more negativity in your life and future. Let it go and make peace.

In short, abandon the modern teachings of Christianity that demands you need to wear the official labels that tells the world you're a Christian. This is pure tribalism which is antithetical to the teachings of Christ and creates blockades towards the path to enlightenment. Anyone can say they're "Team Jesus" but it's meaningless if you don't follow his teachings. i see people wear a cross around their neck or "Team ✝️" on their Twitter/X bio and account that they spew unadulterated hatred from on a daily basis. A plain clothed person who actually follows what Jesus taught is in a better position than the 'hardcore' self described Christian with a cross around their neck that endorses violence and argues against policies designed to help the sick and poor.

Labels are meaningless.

To return to my earlier point, the universe does not want or endorse separation or tribalism. As stated earlier, the pursuit of spiritual truth through different religions are just different cars but the route is essentially the same when followed correctly. Pick the one that works for you, but for Christians reading, Jesus' method only works if you actually follow it. The downside to all these different religions/spiritual paths is the creation and perpetuation of different tribes. So reject religion as a form of separation but embrace the methods to assist in the realization of our unity as our father's children. All differences between us are superficial and we are all one. We are reflections of the greater universe and one with God. Make these declarations within you often. Bless others and acknowledge your unity with them often in your mind and repeat that we are all brothers/sisters and one with God. Bless and forgive others, see the beauty in others and wish them well. Anything you wish towards others will come back to you. This is often colloquially referred to as Karma, but Jesus taught this in his lessons as well ('Do unto others' is very much dependent on this law of nature). He very much understood the quantum mechanics of the universe. These laws remain the same regardless of the spiritual path you took as long, and you arrive long as the route is correct and faithfully followed.

she was pouting, head resting upon her arms as she stared out the window. rain drops were coming down like cats and dogs, hitting the glass loudly. moa was laying silently beside her, bordering on the edge of sleep with yuna ready to follow along behind her. but the sound of yuffie’s voice dragged her from drowsiness, with excitement rushing in to take its place. even moa’s ears perked up, hopping up and running toward their guest, looking eagerly up at her.
