Okay, I can't believe i'm saying this but. 60s Mathilda??? What a woman!

....finds aber echt ne questionable choice, Justus gerade in diesem Kontext von "Baby Fatso" in zwei der drei ersten Szenen mit was (ungesundem) zu Essen darzustellen?

Und irgendwie dachte ich immer, er wäre deutlich jünger gewesen, als er beim Fernsehen war, aber das kann auch meine falsche Wahrnehmung gewesen sein

Interessante Entscheidung, ihn nach der Schule wieder zum Film zu schicken - auf jeden Fall sehr passend, dass einfach kein Geld da ist, um ihm ein Studium zu ermöglichen...

1. Reynolds kam unerwartet <3 A+ design, kann ich nicht anders sagen. 2. Ich weiß, wir sind Mitte der 70er. Trotzdem kann ich "unamerikanischer Schund" nicht ganz ernst nehmen. 3. Cotta??? Das Design find ich mäßig, umso mehr gefällt mir dafür, dass er jetzt also semi-canonical unter Reynolds gearbeitet hat <3

...finde übrigens den Plot bisher (~S. 100) mäßig. Hätte mir mehr über das Universum in den 90ern gewünscht, Justus in seinem Buchladen, wie Peter, Bob und er nach RBEI miteinander umgehen, wer eigentlich diese mysteriöse Frau von den letzten Seiten von RBEI ist, und/oder mehr über das direkte Nachwirken von der Nicky-Sache aus RBEI, die kommt mir hier irgendwie (bisher?) entschieden zu kurz dafür, dass es in RBEI als dieser riesige Einschnitt dargestellt ist

...ah ja. In den 70ern liegt auch schon Kokain bei Bob rum <3 und er bietet es mal ganz casual Justus an. Certainly a choice xD

Und Bob sird von seinem Mitbewohner "Rob" abgekürzt. Spannend, ebenfalls definitiv eine Entscheidung, genau wie er in RBEI ja in L.A. hauptsächlich "Robert" genannt wird. Wollte da jemand nicht mehr "Bob Andrews, Recherche und Archiv" sein?

Den Vietnam-Bezug finde ich übrigens extrem passend hier, habe ich mich tatsächlich drüber gefreut. [Und mein innerer Kellerman-Fan geht natürlich gleich Richtung "heißt das Cotta war auch in Vietnam und war er es vielleicht mit Milo zusammen?"]

Absolutely insane choice btw dass Justus und Piedra sich schon seit den 70ern kennen. Keine schlechte! Just insane! Und die Rollerskates Szene??? Damn. Piedra hat echt was, und ihr 70s Kleidungsstil gefällt mir auch deutlich besser als dieses pseudo-g*psy in RBEI.

Dass Ruth die mysteriöse Frau ist hätte man wohl früher rauskriegen können, aber ich tue mich immer noch sehr schwer mit der Bildsprache von Graphic Novels, vor allem in schwarz-weiß 🤷‍♂️

Finds schön, dass Justus den Schrottplatz (oder zumindest das Haus) wieder aufbaut.

Aber gotta be honest, hat mich nicht so gecatcht wie RBEI. Ich hatte mir mehr erhofft als einen Solo-Fall in den 70ern (obwohl ich, wie gesagt, es sehr gut fand, dass Vietnam und auch sexueller Missbrauch im Showgeschäft so eine große Rolle gespielt haben), eben einfach mehr Fortsetzung von RBEI, und ein neues Zusammenwachsen der Jungs, anstatt dass Justus sich (diesmal? wieder?) abkapselt. Hätte auch gerne mehr über Titus' & Mathildas Schicksal und die Anfänge von Justus' substance abuse erfahren.

Bin trotzdem gespannt auf die nächsten Bände, obwohl ich schon genau weiß, das Peters Band vermutlich nicht mein Ding sein wird, wenn nicht diesmal intensiver auf die post-RBEI-Zeit eingegangen wird.

Justus Joans: Eine Interpretation

Ich muss sagen, ich mag die Geschichte. Ich glaube zwar kein Stück, dass der Justus, den wir kennen jemals wieder freiwillig zurück ins Filmgeschäft will, sondern eher jeden erdenklichen anderen Job machen wurde aber die story war sweet (Okay, damit meine ich jetzt nicht das mobbing und den dark twist). Ich gönne es Justus, dass er mehrere Mädels hat, die offensichtlich was von ihm wollen (und mit mehrere meine ich zwei, aber hey... das sind schon zwei mehr als ich habe). Der Junge muss ohnehin ein Glückskind sein, dafür, dass er neben einer Leiche kotzt und trotzdem nicht als der Mörder belangt wird.

Und ehrlich gesagt, hoffe ich dass wir mehr von dem was folgt zusehen bekommen, denn Justus Jonas als fucking Hausbesetzer, das ist some punk-shit den ich nicht habe kommen sehen. Ach ja nur scheinbar haben Bob und Peter immer noch nicht gerafft, dass Mathilda... vermutlich tot ist? Like könntet ihr das mal bitte hinterfragen, wo sie ist? Vielleicht das nächste Mal?

Hailing from a poor background, it took a year before they could drop another single "Baby Please" which also was a success for a start, sooner they had their first collaboration with Samuel LBY, in an emo-rap which they titled "Sleepless Nights". In May 2022 they dropped another collaboration featuring Stevester "Name Your Price", being their biggest success at that time. After a long break due to college and other things that separated Dee Bonds for a while, they kicked off 2023 in style with their most successful song yet "Levels" where they featured gypsy female rapper "Invikta" the song which was about comparison got good comments and love from fans.

They later dropped a major single in May 2023, in anticipation for their debut EP, "Best for the Last," which should be released in August 2023 and showcased the duo's versatility as artists. The EP featured upbeat tracks like "Best For The Last" as well as more soulful ballads like "Lonely" and "Relate".
