If he could only know the heartache the years would hold for him, the regret, the anger, the numbness. Regrets downed by drinks, drinks fueled his anger, and letting his anger out leading to feeling numb. It was a constant cycle of pain, his previous pride as a police officer stripped away for taking on a shitty bribe.

With his career down the drain, building self-destructive tendencies, Leone’s path was dark, no light to be seen, only a glimmer of death looming over him as his body progressively worsened with how he took ‘care’ of himself.

His former coworkers could only look at him and ponder what happened. A bribe, the death of his only source of hope for this rotten world.

Was it love? Admiration? The line was blurred to him, though… his life’s trajectory would skyrocket after a fateful day.

Bruno Bucciarati. A new light, a new hope.

A new life for Abbacchio, a chance at redeeming that lost sense of pride, a breather from all the unbearable heartache this fall from grace grazed him with.

Perhaps… not all hope is lost for Leone, not this time.
