  Hands reach up and cup the shorter girl’s cheeks, squishing them in order to stop her from rambling more. Kyouka simply stares back with wide eyes, lips pursed to the point where she can’t get any coherent words out.

  “ It’s okay, really...! There’s nothing to be embarrassed about, you don’t have to hide under your bed because you said you... you... ”

  There’s a pause, heat on Ochako’s cheeks flaring up to the point her friend can probably feel it. Swallowing, she glances about the room before exhaling, pressure on Kyouka’s cheeks relaxing enough that she’s cupping them instead.

  Now or never, right?

  She shifts forward, leaning in and placing her lips against her classmate’s. She holds Kyouka there for a moment before pulling back, Ochako resting her forehead against the other’s.

   ... Until she moves back, hands now cupping her own cheeks out of sheer embarrassment.
