Chapter 8 [Draft]
Sung Jinwoo/Trial Player!Reader
CW:
Inspired by @circeyoru ‘s “Future Power Couple”
[Masterlist🦋✨️]
It was inevitable that Jinwoo would introduce you to Yoo Jinho.
As you stood there, the lower half of your face concealed by a laced black mask patterned with butterflies, you had to hide your grin. The mask, enchanted with illusion magic, ensured that most people couldn’t recognize or remember your face easily, except those you wanted to be recognized by.
Perhaps it was because you were mentally older than your physical age in this world, or maybe you were just prone to cuteness aggression. E-rank Jinwoo had been spared only because you couldn’t reveal yourself at the time. But now, facing Jinho, you really wanted to squish his boyish face. Thankfully, you managed to rein that urge in.
You could almost see Jinho’s thought process as he saw Jinwoo with you. Jinho’s tendency to misinterpret situations had been a refreshing comic relief in the manhwa, but now wasn’t the time to focus on that.
“Don’t think too hard about it, Child,” you said, ruffling Jinho’s hair and making him stumble forward slightly. Perhaps you exerted too much force?
Jinho blinked, his eyes wide with surprise. “Ah, uh, yes! I mean, no! I mean...”
You chuckled softly, scanning your surroundings. The people hired just to fulfill the requirements of raiding a gate had already started to mind their own business, used to the routine by now, barely sparing you or Jinwoo a second glance.
That was fine; the less attention, the better. But your gaze caught Han Song-Yi standing a little farther off. You smiled beneath your mask and gave a small wave. But when you saw Han Song-Yi, you smiled behind your mask and waved. She seemed surprised before hesitantly waving back.
You turned to Jinwoo, who was already in front of the gate, waiting for Jinho and you.
As you approached, Jinwoo raised an eyebrow. “Ready?”
"Shall we?" you asked quietly, stepping up beside him.
Jinho, still flustered, scrambled to stand beside you. “Ready, Hyung!”
The butterflies embroidered on your mask seemed to shimmer for a moment as you prepared yourself for the challenge that lay ahead.
---
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jinho. I'm (Name)."
Yoo Jinho's mind was already swirling with a dozen thoughts the moment his Hyung introduced you. Jinwoo rarely worked with others, so your presence threw him off.
(Name). No last name. A C-rank healer, not widely known, but Jinho had heard a few whispers about you. Word was that you had a nurturing, kind disposition every time the South Korean Hunter Association dispatched you for backup in raids.
His first impression? You looked like a professional. Your combat-ready outfit was practical, and the long coat draped over it hinted at versatility, allowing freedom of movement. There was no visible armor, but the way you held yourself, with your hair styled elegantly yet suitable for combat, spoke volumes. Even with the mask obscuring part of your face, Jinho sensed you were what most would consider a subtle beauty.
"(Name) will be joining our raids from now on," Jinwoo stated matter-of-factly, as if it were the most natural thing in the world..
Wait, what?
His Hyung, who had always preferred to raid solo, was now bringing someone along—and acting like it was a routine occurrence?!
Did you and his Hyung perhaps—
Before Jinho could finish the thought, you ruffled his hair fondly, startling him with the unexpected strength behind your gesture.
“Don’t think too hard about it, Child.”
“Ah, uh, yes! I mean, no! I mean…” Jinho stumbled over his words, clearly flustered.
You chuckled softly, your demeanor warm.
That was how the day began.
Jinho spent most of the raid gawking as you and Jinwoo seamlessly coordinated your attacks. He watched in awe as you effortlessly took down enemies alongside Jinwoo. More impressive was how naturally Jinwoo seemed to work with you, almost as if the two of you had been doing this for years. It was like watching a finely tuned machine in action, with both parts working perfectly in sync.
For a moment, he felt a little lost. What was he supposed to do when his hyung and you didn’t seem to need backup?
Then, as if sensing his uncertainty, you approached him. “Hey, Jinho? Thank you. Jinwoo might not say it out loud, but I’m sure he appreciates your company all this time.”
Jinho perked up at your words, feeling a surge of pride, only to become flustered when he heard you giggle. You were trying to be discreet, but it was clear you found his reaction amusing.
Another time, during another raid, you commented on Jinho’s armor—more out of thoughtfulness than criticism. “That’s some expensive armor you’ve got there,” you remarked, noticing his attire.
Jinho, eager to explain, mentioned the high-end gear he had bought back when he first started working with Jinwoo. His hyung had thought it was excessive, but Jinho wanted to be prepared.
You hummed thoughtfully. “It won’t hurt to be a bit more prepared,” you said, and before he knew it, you pulled something out of thin air—a small, unassuming butterfly brooch.
Jinho’s eyes widened. How did you do that? He had never seen anything quite like it. You pinned the brooch to his clothes with a graceful motion. “It’s imbued with some spatial magic,” you explained. “Try clicking it three times.”
Curious, Jinho did as you said., and his eyes lit up as his expensive armir were replaced by a sleek, high-quality combat suit. The fabric was sturdy yet comfortable, allowing for easy movement. He marveled at how perfect it felt.
“How… how did you do that?” Jinho marveled at the suit, admiring its design and function.
You bring a finger to your lips.
“Don’t worry. Your current wear was just switched out, it’s in there if you want to switch again.”
Before he could offer to pay you back, you raised a hand to stop him. "Just take it as a thank you, for always accompanying Jinwoo. If that’s not enough, consider it an advance payment for your continued help in the future."
From that day on, Jinho started calling you Noona. He couldn’t help it—you had earned his respect and admiration. Plus, you always looked out for him, even when it wasn’t necessary. You had a way of making him feel important, part of the team, even though he knew you and Jinwoo were leagues ahead.
You weren’t just cool. To Jinho, you were someone he could look up to.
Even Jinwoo seemed to tolerate it, though you noticed a slight twitch in his expression whenever Jinho said it, making you suspect that Jinwoo wasn’t as indifferent as he let on.
---
"Woah, who's that?" "She looks so cool..."
You could hear the whispers as you removed your helmet after parking your motorcycle in the parking lot. The students stared, intrigued by the mysterious figure you cut against the backdrop of their daily lives. Your eyes, however, were trained solely on the building in front of you.
It wouldn’t hurt to be a bit more prepared, you reminded yourself, as you often did.
---
Inside the school, Jinwoo didn’t expect to run into you. He had come for Jinah’s parent-teacher meeting, but here you were, in a place that seemed far from your usual.
You spotted him almost immediately.
“What are you doing here?”
"Straightforward as always. I'm here on personal business," you said, offering a brief, cryptic smile.
He raised an eyebrow, the suspicion clear in his eyes. “Personal business? At this high school?”
Before he could question you further, Jinah’s voice broke through the conversation. “Oppa!” she called out, jogging toward them. Jinwoo sighed, shifting his attention to his sister. You, meanwhile, stood a little off to the side, watching the sibling banter unfold with an amused glint in your eyes.
Jinah quickly noticed you standing there, and her eyes lit up with recognition. “Wait—are you the cool unnie my friends keep talking about?!” she asked, her voice filled with excitement. "They said you visited the school a few times!"
You smiled warmly at her. "That might be me," you said, not denying it. “I’m (Name),” you said, offering your hand to Jinah. “Nice to meet you.”
Jinah took your hand eagerly, her curiosity piqued, but you didn’t linger. “I’ve got some things to take care of, so I’ll leave you two to your meeting,” you said, with a nod to both siblings before walking off toward the administrative wing.
Jinah turned to Jinwoo with wide eyes. “Do you know her, Oppa?”
Jinwoo only nodded, his gaze following you until you disappeared around a corner. His instincts told him there was more to your presence here than you were letting on.
---
Later, as Jinwoo sat in the meeting room speaking with Jinah’s teacher, your name came up again—though this time in a different context.
“Miss (Name)?” the teacher asked, recognizing the confusion on Jinwoo’s face. "She’s one of the school’s key investors. A remarkable woman. She funds a portion of the scholarship program for students with financial difficulties. She was here today to inspect how the program was progressing.”
Jinwoo raised an eyebrow at the revelation. He certainly didn’t expect to hear that you were involved in something like that. He had always sensed that you were up to more than you let on, but this? He didn’t imagine you were the philanthropic type—
Okay, he had been on the receiving end of that exact action for the past few years, but still!
After the meeting, at the teacher’s request, Jinwoo briefly met with Han Song-Yi. After they talked, Jinwoo felt a sudden shift in the air. A butterfly—one of yours—fluttered into the room and landed on his shoulder. It was your usual method of contacting him without drawing attention, and he had come to expect it.
---
Jinwoo followed the butterfly, and soon enough, he found you waiting just outside the school, leaning casually against the establishment’s wall, your arms crossed. The street empty.
“I heard from Song-Yi that you're planning to take her into a dungeon soon.”
"Since when have you been in contact with Han Song-Yi?" he said, getting straight to the point.
You didn’t flinch under his scrutiny. “She’s got potential,” you answered casually. “She reminds me of someone… so I decided to lend a hand.”
Jinwoo’s suspicion deepened. “You’ve been helping her?”
“I’ve been making sure she has the opportunities she deserves. Just as I’m helping others.”
Before he could react, you handed him an impressive stack of homemade meals, each one neatly packed for travel. "These are imbued with magic, of course," you said casually, as though giving enchanted meals was the most normal thing in the world.
"...Isn't this too much?" Jinwoo asked, looking between you and the stack of containers.
You scoffed lightly, almost rolling your eyes. “You never know what might happen. Besides, it’s for your other raid members too." For a moment, you could’ve sworn you saw his expression twitch, but it was gone as quickly as it came. Was he annoyed? Amused? It was hard to tell with Jinwoo sometimes. "You can store them in your system’s inventory. I see no problem."
As if that wasn’t enough, you produced a small pouch filled with shimmering stones. "And here. Mana gems, made by me. Break them if you’re low on mana. Otherwise, they’re versatile—use them however you see fit."
Jinwoo stared at the gems for a moment, before closing his hand around them. “You’re not coming?”
"No. Not this time."
There was a brief silence as your words hung in the air. Before he could respond, you gave a slight wave, already turning to leave.
“Have a safe journey, Jinwoo,” you said softly over your shoulder, disappearing into a flurry of butterflies before he could say anything more.
Jinwoo stood there for a moment, watching the last flutter of your butterfly vanish into the distance.
---
You stood at the edge of the red gate with <Illusory> activated, arms crossed as you stared at the shimmering barrier before you. The system’s all too familiar message blinked in your vision, barring you from entering.
[Access Denied, Trial Player.]
Figures.
You had expected this. The system had been unpredictable at times, but this was one of the moments you knew too well—it wouldn’t let you intervene directly when it came to certain pivotal moments in the story, like this red gate.
“Well,” you muttered to yourself, “that’s why I prepared those meals and mana gems.”
You could only hope they would be enough to make a difference, lightening the load on Jinwoo’s shoulders while he navigated the dangers inside. He’d grow stronger through this trial, but you didn’t like the idea of just standing on the sidelines.
---
Inside the red gate, Han Song-Yi took a bite of the meal you had sent through Jinwoo, her eyes widening in amazement. “Oppa, this is amazing!” she exclaimed between mouthfuls. “I’ve never tasted anything like it!”
The rest of the party, seated around their small campsite, were similarly engrossed in their meals. It wasn’t just the taste that astonished them—it was the feeling of being energized, as if the food itself was somehow infused with power.
For a moment, they all forgot they were stuck in a deadly red gate, too busy enjoying the brief reprieve you had provided.
Meanwhile, Jinwoo sat on the outskirts of the camp, watching his shadow soldiers march silently in the distance. He had been taking the opportunity to level up while they hunkered down in a safe area. The enemies within the red gate were tougher, as expected, but that was precisely what he needed to test the maximum potential of his shadows.
It wasn’t long before he had acquired new soldiers to add to his ever-growing army.
As he observed his surroundings, Jinwoo’s gaze landed on the mana gems you had given him. They had proven more versatile than he initially thought. holding them for a few moments seemed to give him a temporary stat boost. The warmth that radiated from the gems was also useful, especially given the freezing environment inside the red gate.
The most surprising discovery, however, was that the gems could recharge themselves. Even after they had grown cold, they would warm up again in an hour or two, ready to be used once more. Jinwoo eyed at the small, glowing stone between his fingers, his thoughts drifting back to you.
How does she do it? Jinwoo wondered, turning the gem over in his hand. It glowed faintly with residual energy, pulsing slightly as if alive. The craftsmanship was unlike anything he had seen before.
Jinwoo pocketed the gem. There was always a sense of assurance that comes with you. The meals and gems you had provided, along with his newly strengthened soldiers, he knew they stood a better chance at survival.
With each passing moment, the line between curiosity and fascination grew thinner.
---
You knew how things would unfold, like in the story you once knew. Still—
Stay strong, Jinwoo, you thought, turning away from the gate. You had done everything you could from the outside. Now, it was up to him.
---
In the heat of the battle with Baruka and his army of ice elves, Jinwoo instinctively crushed one of your mana gems, expecting the usual mana regeneration to help keep his shadow soldiers going. What emerged, however, wasn't just an influx of replenishing energy but dozens of your familiar butterflies.
They swarmed out with a grace Jinwoo had grown accustomed to. While he focused on defeating Baruka, the butterflies spread through the battlefield, weaving between the ice elves. Some of them fluttered around the elves, casting illusions that confused their enemies, while others began draining life force, transferring that energy to Jinwoo's shadow soldiers, all while simultaneously regenerating Jinwoo's mana. It was an unexpected but welcome bonus.
Then something else that happened: a few butterflies, glowing faintly and without hesitation, imbued themselves directly into his daggers. The familiar system notification popped up.
[System Notice: Trial Player’s summons have used <Indwelling>. Your weapon has been enhanced.]
The magic now coating his weapons shimmered, adapting to the weaknesses of the enemies Jinwoo faced. The attack stats of his daggers surged, responding fluidly to the situation at hand. With each strike, the butterflies seemed to anticipate Jinwoo’s movements, boosting his strength at just the right moments.
The thrill of battle coursed through his veins even more intensely than before.
---
After Baruka’s defeat, Jinwoo tried to extract the ice elf’s shadow. To his irritation, the extraction failed, leaving him frustrated. But something else quickly caught his attention.
He noticed the butterflies again—fluttering around his shadow soldiers. The red one, always lingering near Igris, hovered quietly. But Jinwoo’s eyes were drawn to two new butterflies: one settled on the newest addition to his soldiers’ nose, making the large shadow blink in confusion, while another perched on the biggest shadow ice bear’s ear, which twitched periodically in response. It was subtle, but these butterflies seemed different, more distinct somehow.
If I can't extract Baruka's shadow, Jinwoo thought, can I at least make use of his remains?
His musings were suddenly interrupted by a voice that wasn’t his own.
“We can make a mana reservoir of his left-over life force, for future use, Sire.”
Jinwoo immediately stood on alert, scanning for the source of the voice. Was there another enemy nearby?
“At ease, Sire. We’re under orders from our Mistress to assist you.”
The realization hit Jinwoo like a tidal wave. Slowly, he turned his gaze to the red butterfly, now fluttering in front of him, its delicate wings moving calmly, as though it were the leader of the swarm.
Did... did your butterflies just...?
“Correct, Sire. We can communicate with you using the sub-skill: <Sensory Illusion>.”
The red butterfly drifted closer to Jinwoo, its shimmering wings catching the light of the dungeon. Even Igris seemed momentarily shocked by the sudden speech coming from one of the familiars, his shadowy form tense.
The red butterfly hovered in front of Jinwoo, as though bowing slightly before him. It spoke again, this time with more clarity, its tone eerily reminiscent of you. "Let us confirm, Sire. Would you like us to make a condensed reservoir of the enemy’s remains?"
It paused for a brief moment, as if allowing Jinwoo to process the information. Then it added, “With Our Lady’s current skills, she can surely make something of it that will be helpful to you in some way.”
Jinwoo's eyes narrowed slightly. This butterfly was sly—cunning, even. He smirked slightly. Even your summons had your subtle charm.
"Do it."
The butterfly bobbed once, almost like a respectful bow, before flitting away to relay the message to the rest of the swarm. Jinwoo watched as they began their work, weaving magic that siphoned the residual energy from Baruka's remains.
Once again, you had surprised him, even in your absence.

𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿. male reader x lee jinho (how to fight/viral hit)
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. dom!amab reader, sub!jinho, top reader implicit, assassination attempt, talk about murder, paranoid jinho, reader calls Jinho "deer" (not in a very affectionate way), captivity (?), blowjob, deep throat, spanking implicit. minors dni.
𝗮/𝗻. lee jinhoo argh. I lied, that shit has 2.9k words. I'm rewatching hannibal, what inspired all this erotic murder talk, I can't help it. likes and reblogs are welcome. Part one here.
You insisted he wasn't a prisoner, the rickety glass walls, the Internet access, all the doors to the luxurious penthouse in central Seoul open at his leisure. Jinho disagreed. Your control was smooth, mischievous, so light that anyone else could agree with you and surrender to your meticulously placed words. Jinho knew better than that. The chip removed from his phone prevented him from making or receiving calls, and the tight, armed security at the front door and the rest of the building prevented him from having contact with the outside world. He could not be trusted, was your argument, he could slip through your fingers at the first opportunity and to stop that he needed to be trained. Like a damn house dog.
Jinho wasn't going out of his way to please you, despite seeming to have accepted his new routine, between eating, sleeping and exercising, he occasionally found time to kill one of the men you put to watch him. He would spend two or three days quiet, peaceful, and the next day he would cook a human tongue for you. You were hard to piss off, you weren't bothered by his silent teasing, with the body left like a gift spilling blood on the living room carpet, and you weren't bothered by the scar cutting your stomach that Jinho had given you with a kitchen knife. Instead you smiled at him, brought him expensive gifts, treated him to fine dinners and started to keep your promise ── he watched the news slowly changing public opinion about him, about how everything was a big conspiracy against him and how he had only been a pawn used in a larger game, a political power game. And so, as the image of the politician who previously helped him became more and more dirty and How to Fight's subscribers dropped, Lee Jinho found himself able to step out into the sunlight again. At least could, if you didn't keep him locked up.
Jinho thought he could live a little in the role you wanted, until you trusted him enough to give him an opening, until you gave him the power that would be your own downfall. It wasn't hard to wait months or years, he'd done it before. Sitting in front of a whiteboard that was slowly taking shape, wearing sweatpants and a black t-shirt, Jinho was trying to stay on paper. Your eyes were on him, he could feel it. The silence in the empty room you had given him to serve as a studio was only interrupted by the soft strokes of the brush in his hand and the rustling of the pages of the book you were reading. But even after two weeks, Jinho still didn't know exactly what your intentions were. Keep him like a trophy wife? Use him as a sex toy? Or was this all an excuse to keep him trapped, cut off from the outside world and unable to exert any power, against you or anyone else? Maybe the news was fake, created to deceive him. Maybe you never intended to help him. Maybe he should kill you, right here and now and be done with it all ── stick the wooden brush across your eye and revel in the dread on your face, smear himself with your filthy blood and and…
"What are you thinking about? Your gaze turned dark." Your voice woke him up, amused. Jinho doubted you would still find it amusing if he spoke his thoughts out loud.
"I'm thinking about what it would be like to kill you," he tried, as normal and placid as talking about the weather.
"Oh?" you exclaimed. "And how would you kill me?"
Jinho turned around on the stool to face you. Sunlight burst through the glass wall, spilling like liquid gold over your tranquil figure as you sat on the turquoise sofa in the huge room filled with only two paintings on the wall, a deer took shape in one, and what looked like the animal's ribcage split open and filled with bloody flowers painted the other. Your watchful eyes were already on him, seeming to bore right through him. Book discarded next to crossed legs, face resting against hand, entertained, comfortable, confident… Jinho wanted to rip all those positive emotions out of you with a knife.
"With this brush." He turned the object between his fingers, the perfectly manicured brown wood gleaming in the light, the Kolinsky sable bristles at the tip stained dark blue. "Simple and quick, I'd poke your eye out before you even had time to blink, maybe the brush would break if I wasn't careful with my strength, but that would only make everything even more painful for you."
Your mouth opened, then closed, as if searching for the right words, before finally speaking. "And then?"
"Then I'd prick the other one with my fingers and hang you with the same hand smeared with your blood, wood sticking shallowly into your eye so the fun wouldn't end so soon." Your eyes dropped to his hand, the fingers long and elegant, deft even as they closed around that knife, touching it with as much mastery as when he held his tools of art. Your tongue darted out to wet your dry lips. An electric current shot through Jinho's traitorous body, he continued, unable to make the words stop coming out, "You would scream, beg me for mercy and I wouldn't have."
You didn't look scared, your calm made him uneasy.
"They say there is no murder more intimate than one committed with one's own hands," you said.
"There's nothing intimate about killing animals, whether with your bare hands or a knife."
The clock on the wall ticked, the low sound deafening in the silence that filled the room. Their eyes met, turbulent with strong and unusual emotions. None of you dared to dodge, feeling as if a war would be lost if did.
"Do you think about hurting me often?" You broke the silence, voice sounding low and deep.
Jinho looked at your pretty face, not a hint of anxiety or dread, the soft lips and vulnerable neck, the skin so so easy to crack and tear. And he replied, feeling as if were confessing his darkest sins:
"Every day."
"Good."
Jinho chuckled, the sudden sound surprising even himself as it reverberated in his ears. A smile of its own spread across your lips, free hand slipping over the linen fabric of your pants. Unconscious, Jinho followed the movement, his mouth suddenly dry as your hand slid between your legs and up, squeezing the obvious erection there. Unable to look away even when you rubbed your cock, Jinho didn't know what he was supposed to feel. You weren't normal, he was feasting on images of you in pain and suffering and dying and there you were ── hard, hard for him, hard for the aggressive words that came out of his mouth, hard for the image of Jinho above you, cold face and blood painting his clothes, like a holy painting. The blood seemed to run faster in Jinho's veins and he forced his feet against the ground, afraid to fall.
"It turns you on," Jinho said in disbelief, realization hitting him hard. "Sick bastard, do you want me to kill you?"
Your brow furrowed, finally looking displeased with something he said, but your hand didn't stop moving against the hardness in your pants, thumb stroking the wet stain growing in the fabric, breath coming out in soft puffs. Something in Jinho's body wanted to reach out and touch you. He stifled that desire.
"Get too close to my eyes and I'll break your fingers. No, I don't want to die." You snorted, opening your legs to give Jinho a better view. He wanted to look away, to mock you, but he couldn't, swallowing hard as a groan escaped your mouth, fingers pressing your outlined cock against the fabric. "But the idea is exciting, isn't it? You're hard too."
Jinho's legs pressed together against your gaze, suddenly very aware of the heat in his body, the hardness in his sweatpants, and the hungry look on his face. He wanted to devour you, touch you and hurt you with the same need.
"Come here," you said ── an order, because you didn't ask and didn't like to be refused, the scarred marks on his thighs and ass reminded him well of that.
Jinho blinked, trying to get his head back in place, it was difficult when in your presence. Putting the brush in place and getting to his feet, he walked towards you, taking his time, the pride still there despite how many times you've worked to break it. Your hands worked on the button and zipper of the pants and even before the next order, Jinho already knew what you wanted from him.
"On your knees, hands behind your back." He ground his teeth, but obeyed. Your hands were close to his face, reaching into your pants to pull a thick, heavy cock out, head glistening with precum. It had been inside him before, an irritating little voice reminded him. Once, the day he took that ridiculous deal. His ass clenched at the memory. Kneeling between your legs, erection dangerously close to his face, Jinho squashed the instinct that screamed to bite your cock off as soon as you tried to put it in his mouth. It wouldn't kill you, but it would be painful enough, an everlasting memory searing your skin. "Open, deer."
The pet name make him grind his teeth, managing to see the painting of the deer on the wall out of the corner of his eye. If you were trying to tease or humiliate him, he didn't know.
Against whatever primal instincts screamed in his mind, Jinho opened his mouth, almost eagerly as you brushed the tip of your cock against his thin lips, wetting them. Contrary to his thoughts, his body seemed to have other ideas, tongue darting against his lips to capture your taste, moan catching in the throat as salty pre-cum flooded his senses. He pursued your taste, leaning forward so he could lick the sensitive head, seeking more of that taste, unlike anything he'd felt before. A sigh fell from your mouth, heavy hand falling against the back of his neck, something in that sound drew him in, soft lips closing against the bulbous head in a careless suck. Everything about his movements was sloppy, it was obvious that Jinho had never sucked a cock, but the inexperience of that powerful and dangerous man only seemed to make you even harder.
You grabbed a handful of his hair, pulling him back. "Open it for me, sweet." You guided your cock with the hand to his willing mouth, tip sliding easily into the wet heat. Fingers tangling more tightly in the strands of his hair. "I'm going to teach you everything you need to know, so relax for me."
Jinho rolled his eyes, that superior attitude still untouched even with your cock pressing into his mouth.
"Use your tongue," you ordered, hips slowly pushing your length into his mouth. Your cock filled his mouth, hot and heavy against his tongue, salty with sweat and pre-cum, the tip against his cheek. He found himself moving his tongue, following its length and dragging against the prominent veins near the head, curious about how it would feel. You moaned above him, one hand slumped against your thigh, squeezing the fabric of the pants, the other caressing the skin at the back of his neck. "Suck it for me, deer."
Lips pressing against you, Jinho sucked, the wet, obscene sound echoing in the silent room, his skin heated, cock twitching between the legs. Spit pooling in his mouth, he made an attempt to move the head, spittle running down the length to your full balls as part of your cock pulled out of the heat of his mouth. His breath huffed against your damp skin.
"Breathe through your nose. No biting." His eyes were sharp, letting your length fall from his mouth to catch breath, even with his cheeks flushed and moisture pooling in the corners of his eyes, there was wit there. Do not tell me? He would probably say it if he wasn't afraid his voice would crack. You held your cock, stroking yourself through all the saliva Jinho had wet on you, thumb squeezing the sensitive head carelessly. Heat blooming in his stomach, it took everything in Jinho not to squish through the sweatpants, he didn't want to give you that satisfaction. He dug his nails into his arm hard behind his back, trying to anchor himself to something so he wouldn't sail away.
"Let's try something different," you said, voice steeped in pleasure as you slowed down stroking yourself close to his face, legs tensing as you stopped the movements, dick visibly twitching.
You took a deep breath, directing your cock to line up with Jinho's mouth. Parting his lips, Jinho couldn't help but groan as that thick, heavy cock slid back over his tongue. He closed his lips around and sucked, but you were already pushing farther back, into his throat. His hands were shooting out before he knew it, pushing your legs, head pulling out of your grasp. He was immediately released, coughing and wheezing, saliva running down his chin.
You pushed his hair back, seeing the sight of tears falling down Jinho's flushed face before he wiped them away, throat still fighting involuntary contractions and the feeling that he was going to throw up. You waited until he recovered before pulling him back to the front. "Let's try again."
"I'm going to kill you," Jinho threatened, voice low and husky, broken.
"Until then, you're going to make me come, so open your pretty mouth for me."
The words of protest stayed on his tongue, but Jinho couldn't voice them, opening the mouth to take your cock back, more eager than he would ever admit to anyone, even though anxiety not felt in years gnawed at his insides. Jinho breathed in through his nose, relaxing his throat as you began to slide deep, slowly, thick cock threatening to choke him. His throat constricted immediately, gag reflex kicking in as the head of your cock reached in too deep. His eyes closed in an effort not to cough and gag, tears running down the cheeks, not realizing he had moved the hands to press against the front of his pants.
"That's it, deer. Stay open for me. Just relax." Firm hand holding him in place and forcing him to stay still as your length pressed deep, fucking past the tightness of his throat, Jinho didn't expect his body to react so strongly, heat under his breath and an unknown pleasure bubbling in his stomach. He made the most beautiful sounds as your cock slid down his tight throat, but all he could hear was you ── your heavy breathing and soft moans and words of "you are so beautiful like that", "good boy", "touch yourself for me" and "you've been made for my dick", clouding his senses. He rubbed himself into the pants hard and fast, groaning against you each time the thick fabric dragged against his cock head, making a mess on his underwear.
Jinho willed his throat to relax, feeling your thick cock twitch as his throat flexed around it. Lashes grew heavy and wet, nails squeezing his length through the fabric until the stab of pain had his feet squirming against the floor. He dragged his teeth against your cock, lightly, in a threat or a tease, none of you knew, but the movement had your hips stuttering, groin pressed against his nose as your cock twitched one last time thrust deep into his mouth, before cum in his throat, forcing him to swallow so he wouldn't choke. Jinho whimpered, thumb squeezing the damp head of his cock, hips rocking against his palm in search of his own release.
"You can come Jinho." Jinho wanted to say that he didn't need your permission, that he would come even if you said otherwise, but the words make something inside him snap. With the salt filling his throat and your cock softening inside his mouth, Jinho's breath hitched for a minute, his whole body tensing… His cock spilled into his pants, saliva running down his chin and moaning around you. His ears go numb and he thinks he might need a few minutes to get back to reality, his legs shaking, his whole body shaking.
You gently pull back, cock sliding out of his mouth and Jinho lets his head fall against your thigh, teeth pressing into your skin hard enough to draw blood. For a second you think he might be looking for an artery in an attempt to make you bleed to death, the thought makes your flaccid dick twitch. You let him dig his teeth into you, fingers stroking his sweat damp hair and head against the back of the couch. You knew you made the right choice, Jinho would soon become your perfect pet, attempts to kill you or not.

Solo Leveling Novel Rambles Chapter 25-28 (chapter 11 part 1(?) of the original)
Okay, why was the spoon scene excluded? I definitely would have liked to see that happen in the manhwa. A lot of Sung Jinwoo's personality seems to be lost in the manhwa
So if a guild can't maintain the minimum number, it will be disbanded. Isn't that number three? It might be different in the novel, and I just haven't gotten there yet, but three doesn't seem like a hard number to keep
Oh, so Yoo Jinho's brother is 31 while Jinho is 22. You know who else could be 31? CHOI JONG-IN-Sorry, off-topic
Jinho's expressions are quite different from the manhwa. Both are good, just different
It's nice they went into more detail about how the 30 billion won building worked. I was confused about that in the novel since I wasn't familiar with the concept
It's also good to see what rank Yoo Jinho thought Jinwoo was. Apparently, he assumed Jinwoo was a B-rank or higher, so Jinwoo getting stronger at this point wasn't that big of a deal to him
The novel really goes into Jinwoo's thought process. While it's nice to see it in novel form, it makes sense why they took it out in the manhwa (Okay, but Jinwoo, stop giving the poor child a heart attack-)
Oh, the run with Jinah didn't happen? I guess it makes sense, but I thought it was a nice bonding moment for them. Until Jinwoo ran off on his own at least-
The novel also goes into detail about the blessed versus the cured random box too. I don't remember if the manhwa mentioned it, but I think it just glazed over it
Not saying Jinwoo in the manhwa is dumb, but he seems smarter in the novel

Solo Leveling Episode 7 Thoughts
Excellent ep!!! Spoilery thoughts for the anime, novel, and manhwa below, CW: blood:
Jinwoo and Jinah are so cute together T-T I love them being close sibs. I mean obviously he helped essentially raise her since he was 14, when their dad disappeared and their mom was too ill to do everything, and then fully did so after he graduated because their mother was comatose, and I just... think about that a lot. This kid who has to raise another kid and never got to finish being a kid himself and had to immediately go into the workforce and give up going to university and he just wants her to have the opportunities he didn't and I just T-T
I feel like I accidentally am vibing with this because I got fried chicken on the way home from errands today, completely unaware this was going to be in the episode.
I love Jinah asking about him and how he's doing. Makes up for calling him a cheapskate >.< I mean to be fair to her, I grew up in a household that struggled for money and I was completely clueless about why we often didn't get stuff, though my parents really tried to spoil us to the extent they could. I do get it. It's realistic in my experience to react this way, especially when the younger person is kept clueless about finances. It's just T-T sometimes. But I do love that she cares about his mental health.
Jinwoo just processing his first murder(s) essentially alone cause he certainly didn't confide in Jinho and he is the older brother with a sister in high school who is just living a normal life and wants her to be happy and so cannot confide in Jinah and it kills me he kind of doesn't do this with anyone, ever T-T Sort of when the Hunters manager warns him, but not on an emotional level. I mean to be fair he's also kind of just, "I resented them for thinking they had a chance against me," which is pretty dark lol But he's obviously really conflicted about that cause these were humans.
Jinwoo has one goal and that is protecting the people he loves. He's pragmatic. I think it's interesting he doesn't focus as much on "they tried to kill me multiple times, it was self-defense and defense of another person". Just... "My family is what's important and I'd do it again if I have to." Which, yes, that's a consideration you can have.
I mean he "could" have incapacitated the Lizards, maybe, rather than killing them, but he's not trained to do that, lacked equipment for it, and in the moment it's hard to process that. It just bothers me he doesn't really do any actual emergency training or whatever other than just building up muscle, EXP, and fighting/movement skills. Even his healing solution is just... shove a potion in people's mouths and it's unclear if he has literally any training in first aid of any kind outside that time he helps Song Chiyul wrap his arm.
Also Jinwoo is still really cute :3 He's animated well.
Hehe learning about the detox, poor guy lol I honestly do love the detail that the system detects alcohol as a harmful substance. It's fun when stories add it in.
Jinah worried about him drinking too much T-T They love each other T-T I love themmm
(just skip down three paragraphs if you don't care about my rant about cellphones lol)
One criticism I have because I always focus on the appearance or absence of mobile phones in modern stories where they should be there: the novel focuses a decent amount on how Jinwoo's cellphone broke in the double dungeon, and he has to get a replacement specifically from the Korean Hunter's Association, and that is completely absent from both the manhwa and the anime, and the anime is compensating weirdly. The novel explains, "Hunter-issue smartphones used specialized technology, so Jinwoo had to put in a request directly with the association." (Vol 1, Chapter 4). So the phone does more than just allowing the Hunter's Association easy access to hunters (I think at one point it's shown it works inside the dungeons, when most technology does not, so I imagine it's powered somehow by mana/essence stones). Jinwoo doesn't have the money to speed up the process, so he has to wait for multiple weeks for them to provide him with a new one, and he forgets to take care of it until I think after he's out of the hospital, so that puts off the process even longer. This means: the association cannot contact him except via landline, and anyone with his cell number cannot do so either, unless, presumably, they have his landline number. In the novel, Jinwoo demands an explanation from Jinho for how Jinho has the number on the presumed landline (it's just called "phone" in the Yen press English translation, I don't know why he wouldn't have his cellphone if he has one in the anime outside his bedroom where Jinah is, and I can't imagine Jinho getting Jinah's cell number, or why the Association would have it other than maybe as an emergency contact, which, again, why would he get that number and I feel like Jinwoo would kill him if he did lol), and Jinho explains that he knows someone at the Association.
Most of this revolves initially around various people trying to contact Jinwoo during this non-cellphone time and not getting to him because he literally does not have a phone and, presumably, they don't have his landline number. The nurse whose number he got tries to contact him via his mobile and nearly gives up by the time he gets his phone back to see her messages. Like many related subplots, this is also part of showing that Jinwoo is just... bad at keeping in touch with people lol I mean he explains, sadly, in the novel, "No one ever calls me anyway." (Vol 1, Chapter 4). But he gave this woman his number and ultimately decides to ignore her/not respond when he sees all the messages she sent him rather than saying literally anything like, "Sorry I was out of touch" or whatever, or just politely turning her down. He does this for most people: most of his interaction with his cellphone is to decide not to use it lol I can see why the manhwa dropped this plot nearly entirely (except for a later modification, which I really like) because it feels clunky. But it creates this weird scenario where... it's South Korea, Jinwoo doesn't have a ton of money but he's doing fine-ish enough to have a giant TV and a computer, and he needs his phone for work. Phones and mobile phones in particular exist in the anime (e.g., we see Woo Jinchul use one, Dongsoo crushes one). So one would ask: why does he not have a cellphone (and when/how did Jinho get his number)? And unrelated: why doesn't his email almost ever get used? The webnovel released in 2016, both would have been commonplace things then; I mean the guy goes onto a forum to ask if other people have leveled up in the novel; it would have been a lot simpler to have Jinho send him an email, though I guess I appreciate the added Jinwoo & Jinah bonding created by keeping this to some extent.
It doesn't ultimately matter in the grand scheme of things. It was really one of the weaker elements of the story and it's really incredibly minor. I can, again, see why the manhwa dropped it and why the anime is side-stepping it when considering what to adapt. But anyway, that was my aside of "how cellphone usage/lack of it when it should be there changes stories". (Also for the record, I think it's good he didn't respond to the nurse, in the end, because that entire plotline is really creepy and probably violates some ethics, but it's also so completely unnecessary).
Jinho pointing out the fight with the Lizards was self-defense :3 Good!
The "this cafe sells coffee" glamour shots are making me laugh, I don't know why lol
One thing that's always intrigued me with this series, and I don't know if this is common to the genre or something, maybe it is, is how much buildings are used as collateral. Like it is a simple truth that buildings are a very core part of value for wealthy people and organizations. Real estate is where big money is made. A lot of people in power literally control large chunks of your local real estate. But a similar story would probably just say like... "I can wire x money to you as needed". Instead this just upfront goes, "I'm rich, but here's this really big money item you could have: a building." It's just neat.
O.o Jinwoo doesn't take Jinho's offer. That's interesting. He does take the offer in both the novel and the manhwa, so I'm unsure about why the change? Maybe it combines into his realization that he needs to level up to face enemies past Cerberus and Jinho is a convenient way to do that.
Dongsoo's Japanese voice actor (Junichi Suwabe) has too pretty a voice for Dongsoo alkdjaldja Like he sounds unfairly beautiful aldkjalalkj (Unsurprising for the guy who voiced Viktor in Yuri on Ice) I don't precisely know what I expected him to sound like, and I'd love to see who they picked for the Korean dub, but alkdjal dang. To be fair... he did also voice Jaeha in Yona of the Dawn, and Grimmjow in Bleach, so I'm not that surprised the actor sounds good... I just. Wow. Salud. I don't know that this works for Dongsoo (at least for me) but he does at least sometimes play annoying dudes lol (I love you Jaeha and Grimmjow, and Viktor and Oda, but still aldkjalj).
Stop fatshaming your sister Jinwoo. You deserved that kick even if you did not at all feel it.
Bonding time ruined T-T
The way the buttons on the system get clicked is such a satisfying look/sound.
O.O oh, Jinwoo's learning about the Elixir of Life way early. That's intriguing! In the novel and manhwa he doesn't learn until way later. The anime is really focusing overall on making his goal centrally about caring for his family rather than more about improvement for the sake of improvement (I mean in the novel it feels kind of like 60/40 trade-off with the former being improvement). I get why the change: it makes him more sympathetic. And it also makes him look less strange for trying this difficult dungeon early, and for why he focuses so hard on getting back to it, even before he knew about the elixir. Also gives him a solid goal for season 2.
The gentle piano is lovely, and really sets the mood well. Jinwoo has a lot on the line: his mother's health, caring for his sister, beyond his own survival. The juxtaposition is really good.
As someone who loves Greek myths, I have seen a lot of designs for Cerberus (I have two plushie three-headed dogs, including the Cerberus from Hades the video game). Can't say I'm a fan of this design lol It's fine. It's functional. It's a very good remake of the manhwa design. I guess it just... didn't look as eh. It moves well and works, and the team did a good job. I think just... seeing more of it highlights how I really don't care for the design lol Dubu/the team were really good at designing some monsters, but not others.
The fight is really amazing and well-paced, though. Though it's an interesting change that the system is the one reminding Jinwoo about the gland during this fight, rather than him doing it on his own (he figures it out after discovering the detox in both the novel and manhwa). I like him making the connection on his own. Jinwoo can be a little thick a lot, but he is pretty intelligent, and that was one of his smarter moments. Ah well.
Will never get tired of his eyes glowing in shots. His wounds steaming as they heal is also a neat effect.
He's getting the Elixir of Life recipe early too :3 That makes sense. Would be weird if they bring that up early and don't reference it again for... goodness I don't even know that they'll come back to it before the season ends. I don't think we will, because I wouldn't be surprised if the season ends with the Igris fight. But it gives something to look forward to for maybe season 2.
Also he gets the dog collar :3 BUT... like the manhwa we don't see him put it on lol In the novel he's really nervous about people seeing him wear it, but canonically speaking, particularly since he never seems to take his armor off other than to exchange it for improved gear, he puts this on and wears an invisible dog collar through a good chunk of the story (until he gets a better neckpiece) lol Love it. Ah well. Would have been funny to see animated but they are generally sticking to the manhwa, so. It would be funny if I was proven wrong <.< Have him put on the collar, anime!!
All in all, a really good episode, with some great animation, some more lovely music, and some lovely moments between Jinwoo and Jinah. This continues the trend of modifying stuff in interesting ways. Looking forward to episode 8!

Do you write for Seo Haesu? even though he hasn't appeared much, that boy really drives me crazy 😭
I literally had to go back and reread some chapters to remember who that guy is. You can see I gave him a lot of thought lol. That boy is a blank canvas to me though. You probably can't tell with the shit I come out with but I do attempt to stay in character (key word is ATTEMPT) and he's too much of a mystery right now. Hey, having a shit imagination isn't a crime >:(
Anyway, have some fresh brainfarts... and thanks for the ask anon!
Some Seo Haesu bs (I can't in good conscience even call these headcanons)
I swear to god PTJ loves the 'i can fix him' trope.
What you making all these morally grey characters with sad backstories for?
What is there about Haesu? Well for one we know this guy just wants to eat. Hobin shared a meal with him once at that academy and they're bff. Literally the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
Some parallels with Johan Seong (Lookism). I've seen Haesu described as a cat - definitely true. A stray cat vs a wild pup.
Haesu just wants a decent life, and to eat and sleep. This man is all of us.
Opposite in other ways - he's not reckless or childish and he is perceptive. Haesu is calm and collected, weighing up his options. But nowadays, what he wants he usually gets. Violence has a way of forcing people's hands.
Surprisingly doesn't bite the hand that feeds though, considering Hobin a friend even after the rejection.
IMO, VERY easy to break with kindness (like many of PTJ's fools).
Like I said, he just wants some good fuckin' food. He may have jinho on his side now but old habits die hard. You're just sitting there mid mouthful and this kid steals your food? "Im hungry" Tsk. Look at him in his scrubby clothes and overgrown bangs. You and your stupid weak heart. "Fine - take it. Have more. Are you full yet? Shall I put another order in?"
Or he had some sort of life up to 14, however pitiful it was. Imagine if you and your family were his only escape to whatever dreadful home life he had, kept him clothed and well fed until he's had enough of your charity... And had enough of being a burden. It's easier to go to juvie and that's what he chooses.
In both these instances, it's not that he seeks you out while working under Jinho but he can't figure you out. Nothing in his life is free, and kindness always comes with a hidden agenda - at least in his experience. So what's up with you?

open to: any gender~ ↳ plot & info: jinho works in a gang and was recently hired for a job to be a body guard to your muse. x jinho, 22, gang member
it was hard to believe that the person he was now looking after actually had someone potentially after them that required being watched so closely. there was a part of him that believed their parents, or whoever hired him might be overreacting. nose scrunched as he looks at the other sitting across from him he finds himself lost in his own thoughts as he stared. "why exactly do you need a body guard?" he asked a brow raised as he finally speaks up. "i mean - really i should know given i would be guarding you from said circumstances."

can you make a reaction of pentagon if they gonna see their ex girlfriend after break up
a/n: Hihi! I know I said two weeks, but I've been balancing school and home life. I'm also re-reading this piece I wrote a while back and brainstorming for new things. Also, I've never written reactions before, so I hope you enjoy it. I'm sorry this is so late.
words: 2.2k >>Masterlist
Jinho
He would be the type to avoid a meet-up.
It’s not like the relationship ended badly, but it’s for convenience.
Jinho wouldn’t want to step on your feelings if there were any remaining
Honestly, for him, there was still something left over
He's delusional. Literally gaslighting himself to think he’s avoiding you for your sake.
The meet-up would be accidental like it was meant to happen.
Jinho honestly hadn’t been out of his apartment in a few weeks. He had been having second thoughts about the entire breakup. Was it the best decision? He wasn’t sure. Although, the food had run out in his house, and takeout was expensive these days.
He was walking through the isles bored when he saw a familiar figure. He didn’t see your face, but he didn’t have to. Something inside him wanted to approach you, but he didn’t. He couldn’t and he didn’t know why. He would rather die than go up to you. He stood there for minutes wondering whether to move past you or do a 180.
He ended up just staring at you, taking in this moment of seeing you again. You were looking at some snacks on the shelf when you turned your head and looked over at him. He watched as the smile spread on your face, and how you waved at him. He reciprocated it, all without much thought. The moment flew by too fast for him because, in the next second, you were gone for the next item on your grocery list.
Hui
Hui would most likely become obsessed with his work
Anything to distract himself
Maybe he’d blow money for some serotonin
Anything to give him a quick whiff of some happiness
He’s been writing songs like crazy and they're all sappy breakup songs
He doesn’t like any of them though
He needs a break and a bad
Hui needed some time out of his studio which was now too stuffy for him. Just a simple walk would do for him. For what he meant for a short walk around the building, he ended up in a park nearby. He sat on a swing slowly rocking back and forth. His eyes were closed taking in the sound around him. It was quiet, barely anyone was around. Still, the sound of the wind and the trees slowly dancing to it making their sound, The casual cars driving by in the background. That was the serenity and peace he had been looking for this whole time.
When he finally opened his eyes he noticed a familiar figure sitting at a bench. They were eating lunch alone with their head down. He didn’t have to see their face to know who it was. He smiled to himself, maybe this was the motivation and clarity he sought.
Hongseok
He’d be more of the jealous type.
He’s most likely the type to stalk a page
He made a fake account just for you!
okay, maybe that’s not that charming.
he regrets his decision though
he's sincere about that
Lately, Hongseok had been feeling like you were losing interest in him, or you were getting over this. With all that he still felt for you, he couldn’t let you. He still couldn’t let you go and needed something to drag you in with him. So, he devised a plan. He would “randomly” meet up with you.
He got used to the schedule that you had, and have, so it wasn’t that hard to find you. He had crossed your path multiple times after the break-up, but neither of you had decided to go and talk to each other. He was too shy, and you wanted to get over him. It was better for you anyway, and sometimes seeing him just hurt.
Not this time when you saw him. You two had managed to get on the same bus. Although, you knew hongseok had a car and could drive. It made you wonder what happened to him after you two separated. You locked eyes with him, and he shared a smile with you. He took that as an invitation to come closer to you on the bus. He made small talk with you for most of the ride. Something about the whole experience felt like deja vu almost as if you had met him again, but in a new life.
Shinwon
He plays it off but he’s most definitely hurting
He hangs around other people for a distraction
He is not okay though
When he’s alone or at home he mostly pouts
Dont come about his mood though because he will snap
He also won't leave the house unless he has to
The guys have to make him come out, so they take him to an inside amusement park
They may spoil him a bit too much.
It seemed like Shinwon was as good as new. He was smiling, laughing, and making his awful jokes. Honestly, Jinho and Hui kind of wished they left him at home. It seemed like this was the perfect thing to bring him back from being a literal human zombie.
They were walking around the theme park when he saw you giggling with your friends. You guys had rented school uniforms on. He was happy that you were happy though. The way you laughed or held your friend's hand. He didn’t notice how long he had been staring.
He was sent back to reality when Jinho tapped him on the shoulder. “You ready to head out already?” Shinwon looked back at him just nodding. He didn’t know if Jinho knew if he was looking at you or not. Either way, nothing was mentioned on the way home.
Changgu
He lives in a cafe.
Or he visits it a lot
Either way, he wants to run into you
First, it was the old cafe you two used to visit
Then your favorite cafe
But nothing, he couldn’t
One day he gave up and just started to work part-time at a random cafe
He was working late nights due to his day job. He was enjoying working at a cafe. He loved the smell of coffee beans after all, and wouldn’t complain if he smelled like them all day. One thing was for sure though, he brought a lot of business to the cafe.
Everyone went to the cafe to see the cute barista. He smiled with all of the new attention, but he wasn’t quite sure if he enjoyed it or not. Some part of him still hoped that one day you would walk into those doors. He convinced himself that all of the girls he turned down were for you. He was staying loyal to you.
The only problem was that he only worked at the late-night, and it was not the most favorable time for a cup of coffee.
One night while he was making one of his famous cups of coffee, he heard a familiar laugh. His head shot up, he had to see your face again. Although, he frowned as soon as he spotted you in the crowd. Your arm was locked around another guy’s laughing and leaning into him.
He frowned and turned over to his coworker, “I'm taking my 15.”
Yanan
The relationship was short
Surely not long enough for deep feelings
That's what he thought before he broke the news to you
But lately, he had been missing you
Denies it and tries to play it slick
I’m thinking this is like a college fling thing
So you guys could run into one another
Finals were coming up and Yanan was in the library with his head stuck in one of the textbooks. He had been there for hours, and he was starting to get hungry. He had a six-hour final that he was preparing for, and he could not flunk it. He searched in his bags to see if he had any snacks left over. Luckily he still had some, leaning back and eating it.
He took that time to scan his surroundings. He had been focused on his work for so long that he hadn’t noticed the amount of people that had come and gone. This time around he noticed you dozed off on a desk. Your head was lying on a textbook sleeping soundly. You looked so pretty to him. He went close to you and put your jacket over you.
He didn’t quite understand his actions or what possessed him to buy snacks for you. He smiled to himself as he wrote a note. He teased you about falling asleep in the library and how you should take better care of yourself. He didn’t sign the note, smirking. Maybe he could tease you more like this in the future.
Yuto
He is already a quiet person, so I feel like he kept the relationship very private
Barely anyone knew that the two of you had broken up
The break up wasn’t on good terms
The two of you could not agree on something
He hated arguments and everything that came with it
He also hated telling you when he disagreed with something because it would lead to even more arguments even if it didn’t have to be one
The two of you were petty anyways
He tried to avoid you, and the places you hung out frequently
Yuto was out with a large group of friends. It was unusual for him, but he was enjoying the extra company. They were at a large shopping mall, so it wasn’t an ideal place to be. He was quieter than usual. Maybe it was because he didn’t want to draw a lot of attention to himself. That was the reason. He wanted some quiet time but didn’t want to be alone. Maybe this was the best solution for him.
He thought of himself over the relationship. Maybe he was being too harsh, but he thought if he heard that you died in a week or so he wouldn’t care. Okay, that was cruel of him, but he needed some way to distance himself.
The sad part was, when he saw you at a store with another guy, his heart sank. He was mad that he still felt some type of way about it and about you. He was disappointed in himself, nonetheless, he played it off and went on with his day.
Kino
I'm going with the cliche trope
He’s just a party guy to me
And I think he’d go to parties to let off his cool. Especially if it was a harsh break-up
I feel like he’d still be jealous and possessive after the relationship
If anyone would try to say something bad about you, he would get mad at them.
He’s still sweet as ever, even if it ended on bad terms or not
Kino was at a party, like usual. He had a huge social circle. He was floating around the party talking to a lot of different people. He was feeling better tonight. He preferred to put himself out there when he didn’t feel up to it. Honestly, he was feeling a lot better.
He did notice you when you walked in, it would be hard for him not to stare. He watched over you, still feeling protective. He knew a lot of the people at the party, some of them having a bad reputation. He would rather watch over you from a distance, not ready to face you.
That didn’t matter when a random guy came up to you. He didn’t know him, but he could not stand the fact that another man was talking to you. He came up to you putting his arm over your shoulder casually. “I forgot to ask you what drink you wanted.” Kino kept a sly smirk on his face. You looked a little upset and surprised to see him there, but he just brushed it off. It was fun to cock-block you.
Wooseok
I think he would be quieter about the breakup
He seems like he keeps more to himself
But he’s generally sweet to everyone
I think the motivation would be down
He wants to keep things on good terms, but that doesn’t mean friends.
He’s not the type to text you after
Unless he needed something
Wooseok had gathered up some motivation lately, after looking at how messy his life had been lately. He was picking his stuff up and putting things in their right places. During that, he found some items that were yours, and he noticed that some of his things had been missing. He frowned, he didn’t want to do any confronting, but he wanted his things back. There’s nothing wrong with that, right?
His hands were sweaty as he texted you. He simply stated that he had a few of your things and he thought that you had a few of his. It was simple and he tried to be as polite as possible. He was not trying to make anyone upset.
After a few days you hadn’t answered his text, so he tried again. This time his tone was a little hasty, and when you responded, it was in an aggravated tone. He was confused. You didn’t want to meet with him and made that clear. He suggested mail, but that seemed to upset you as well.
When he saw you later that week on the street, he said nothing. He did nothing. Any feelings that he had left over for you, were gone. Then he knew he could move on.

after the collective mental collapse we had with hui on bp hearing that jinho would also join a survival " Phantom Singer 4 " i thought it would be my 13th reason to give up but surprisingly i am beyond happy and glad he took that leap of faith
it somehow balances out the god awful existence of bp999 to a certain extent
watching jinho there perform somehow felt like a full circle moment (in a positive way) . i believe jinho going there was a blessing regardless of the shitty situation
he chose to go with his name cho/jo jinho instead of his stage name I'm assuming he wants to prove his ability as he himself as the 31 yo singer and not an idol
jinho has said multiple times that singing is his whole life its what he's good at and will forever work on (2020 studio flo episodes)
i initially didn't care abt it tbh my whole world basically crumbled down on dec 19th 2022 the initial news like I said felt like an nth stab but when i checked his first stage i was in awe you can see the passion in his eyes
he performed a musical number from Dear Evan Hansen as much as I dislike the message and the story of that piece some songs are Broadway calssics i adore . waving through a window is a hard song itself full of emotions where the mc is choking on tears while singing about his failed attempt questioning his whole existence and whether he matters to anyone. speaking from the perspective of a musical nerd he did it justice he understood the story the character . a prominent color pallette in DEH is blues and he was dressed in said pallette mimicking Evans mouvements and mannerisms
i can only applaud that stage . he said he trained as hard as he did for his debut and regardless of how stressed and anxious he was the judges were on his side
i get that some might think it's a shame that he has to be judged by kyuhyun whom he used to train with but i personally don't see why he should be ashamed. Jinho is the first idol singer on that show with multiple industry titans he stood his ground he proved himself which i find infinitely admirable .
i am seeing so much of jinho i love seeing him getting praised i love seeing him brainstorm stages with his teammates i love hearing his voice i love seeing stars in his eyes on stage doing what he loves the most and i cannot get enough of it
it feels like he belongs to that show he's exploring his own capacities and limits which what being on a survival should be and not trying to please an audience of brain smooth 15yos and nuking your own ability because no one else can fuckin sing (very much bp in case you couldn't guess )
Being a singer being in love with music and wanting to improve until the day you die shouldn't be frowned upon this way no artist should have an expiration date.
all of this to say i will watch every crumb of my man jojin because he's actually there to see how far he can go and I'll be there with him within every step he made it past the 2nd elimination for a reason

stanning idols for a long time always hits hard when you realize how long it has been, but it hits even harder when you've stanned them as trainees for years and years before they made their debut and you suddenly see them everywhere as idols and realize how amazing they are and how much it was worth it to wait...
it happened to me with jinho, i was his fan since sm the ballad in 2010, i genuinely thought i would never see him debuting, until he returned to my life in 2016. it has been such a beautiful journey with him since, and i'm so proud of him every day 💖
it also happened to me with lew and hyeongseop from tempest. i have known them since pd101s2 in 2017, they were two of my faves on the show (my #1 was zhengting who is also from yuehua but he went back to china and debuted there, and i really loved all the yhh trainees). for a while i was wondering if they were even still in yuehua because it's been so long since yhh mentioned them and they haven't done anything... but then they debuted in tempest and i'm SO happy because musically they're one of my favorite 4th gen groups (didn't like dragon at all but i loved all their other tts and their bsides are also amazing). funnily enough though my official bias is hanbin, who i didn't know at all before tempest 😂 him & lew are sharing the bias spot though hehe. and they both look so good this cb i'm losing my mind 😭

After Jin shared a video playing guitar on Simsta, Nam Liang - the school's heartthrob and no. 1 softboy himself - extended an invitation for a jam session. Curious, Jin accepted and found himself at Nam's apartment. Contrary to expectations, the place was surprisingly tidy and well-decorated. The walls of his room (no, Jin did not get all anxious when he invited him there) were covered with trippy posters, some graffiti doodles, instruments and groovy furniture. It all looked very Nam.
previous. / beginning. / next.
monday, 6pm @ Nam's apt.
After Jin plays a particularly angry chord, he sighs and looks lost in thought, an insistent crease between his eyebrows. Nam is eyeing him curiously, bass strings still vibrating on his fingers, the sound like a low hum.
“So I guess you’re not friends with the Michaelsons anymore?”
He winces at the memory but can’t blame Nam for asking, especially when Jinho looks ready to unleash his bottled-up anger on the poor guitar.
It’s evident, even after just a day, that something’s off with him and his school friends. At lunch, they’d always be inseparable – sometimes sneaking off to smoke, other times at the library, with Orion dozing on Jinho’s lap while he and Atlas chatted. But never apart.
This Monday, Atlas was MIA, Jinho buried in a book in the classroom, and Orion likely holding court at the team’s table. Gossip was undoubtedly brewing.
“Yeah. I think not. Things are messed up and I don’t feel like they’re gonna get any better soon.”
“Must’ve been some big serious shit. I remember you guys back in grade school,” Nam nods sympathetically, carefully putting his instrument aside and looking at him. Jin misses the nice view of Nam and his bass for a moment. Thankfully, he came closer, and Jin couldn’t complain much longer now that he could smell his nice cologne. “Wanna talk about it?”
He didn’t, really. But it was hard saying no to Nam. Jinho had always had a little thing for the boy, and it made everything else much worse. After Atlas and Orion, he didn’t understand anything about his feelings anymore. Was it even okay for him to still have a crush on Nam? And why wouldn’t it, if he didn’t even have time to feel something for Atlas - or maybe understand what he did feel?
“They… played with me. With my feelings.” Nam looks genuinely interested, head tilting and a compassionate expression on his face, which urged Jinho to elaborate. And so he complies, with another heavy sigh while sitting down. “They made a bet on who would kiss me first. Orion said it was because they both liked me, but I particularly wouldn’t treat ‘kissing someone I like’ like some kind of game. If… if I had feelings for someone, you know, I would like it to be… special. It’s pathetic, yeah, but if I wanted to just kiss someone randomly I would’ve done it before. But Atlas stole my first kiss, made me believe it was indeed something special, and in the end… it was just a bet,” he scoffs. “All of that in, like… three days. I’m so damn confused and pissed off.”
“I don’t blame ya’. That’s a very shitty thing to do to anyone, let alone a friend,” he shakes his head, and Jin feels validated by how incredulous his expression was. “That’s not how you deserve to be treated, Jin. You’re better off without them.”
“Maybe, but not sure I like being alone, though.”
“You won’t be. I’ll be with you, hm?” he smiles. “Atlas won’t even think of trying any shit with me around. He knows I don’t like him already. Is that okay?”
“Yeah…” he answers, embarrassed at how breathless it sounded. “Yeah, it is.”

HELLO MY FAV WRITER ON TUMBLR
Okay so recently I've been rewatching ATLA on Netflix and then I had to think about which element the ptg members would bend and I have no one to discuss this with djsjdj so if you have thoughts on that please feel free to drop them omg
Have a good day 🤍
omggg this is so fun tysm for sharing this with me (yes, i still obsess over ATLA in the year of our lord 2023 but it's just sO GOOD)
ANYWAY bc i always discuss everything with my bestie this too has been thoroughly discussed with her so i'll include both my and some of her takes under the cut~
Hui
for hui I was thinking either fire or water--fire because of the warmth and light it can be connotated with; lighting up a candle or the fireplace, warming up a cup of tea, literally bringing light into the darkness. water because I can picture him focusing on healing since he is someone who is very keen on helping and supporting others.
Jinho
i said fire for him too and then my friend said she could see him focusing on lightning and i felt that was so fitting! since it is a bending technique that required a lot of precision and skill it just felt like such a good match. he'd take bending very seriously and work really hard to hone his skills. wouldn't really use his bending skills much for goofing around or mundane things.
Hongseok
my bestie said earth and i also thought of earth too but somehow he is just very water bender shaped to me--maybe because i associate him with the color blue
Shinwon
fire--once again it may be due to color schemes (shinwon is v much orange to me) but i can also just see it well--him playing around with the flames or using bending for his daily life, idk heating up ramen or warming up his cold feet
Changgu
my friend said earth and i can see that very much! my take was sand bending which is like hybrid earth bending so p much the same direction. I just thought it was fitting since it's a little bit more light footed
Yanan
maybe all the memes of him burning down cube have gotten to me bc i could rlly rlly see fire. air would be fitting too though imo bestie said water bending and perhaps even stuff like blood bending too fhdshfkjdhs
Yuto
i had initially planned to stick to the main 4 elements but yuto just immediately screamed metal bending to me, i couldn't settle for anything else my bestie said water which would have also been my first choice among the classic 4 elements
Hyunggu
my first instinct was fire or air and then my friend said how he'd probably constantly play around with those air balls the way aang did and idk just a lot of bouncing around and puffing himself up and. that's just so hyunggu. he's definitely an air bender.
Wooseok
once again here with hybrid bending bc my take is mud bending fhsdhfkjs though bestie said water/ice and i could see that too
also because we talked abt this topic sm we obvsly also discussed who'd have avatar potential and pls don't call me biased but i'm so stuck on avatar shinwon now. like? he just accidentally stumbles into it all but ppl seem to rely on him so ofc he doesn't back out or run away and goes through with it bc he just is like that and then perhaps the other members are there to teach him bending and support him and he'd probably grow really attached to them. at first he went along with being the avatar because he wanted to help/didn't want to disappoint anyone but as time passes he just wants to be with them and make them proud by getting better but also support and help them too (imagine him wanting to learn healing from hui but he's having a hard time with it so hui would ask why he wants to learn it in the first place and sw would be like "so someone can heal you too when you're hurt") ...yeah maybe i am too emotional about shinwon and why he wanted to be in ptg haha
anyway these are my and my besties thoughts on pentagon ATLA AU thank you for the ask<3
Masterlist
#srsly tysm it was sm fun to discuss this hehe#ask.kebbi#pentagon headcanons#pentagon scenarios#kebbis.writing#requested#i mean it's not rlly a request but#yanno

Wi Ha Joon Reveals He Got Injured While Filming ‘The Worst of Evil’ with Ji Chang Wook
Wi Ha Joon is one of the rising stars in the Korean entertainment industry. He has been gaining attention for his versatile roles in various dramas and movies, such as 18 Again, Romance is a Bonus Book, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, and Midnight. Recently, he took on the challenge of playing a ruthless gang boss in the new action crime series The Worst of Evil. The Worst of Evil is a Disney+ original drama that follows the story of Park Joon Mo (played by Ji Chang Wook), a detective who goes undercover to infiltrate a drug cartel led by Jung Ki Chul (played by Wi Ha Joon). However, he faces a dilemma when he discovers that his wife, Yoo Eui Jung (played by Im Se Mi), an elite narcotics officer, was Ki Chul’s first love.
(Photo : Disney+) The drama premiered on September 27, 2021, and has been receiving positive reviews from viewers and critics alike. The intense plot, the thrilling action scenes, and the stellar performances of the cast have made The Worst of Evil one of the most anticipated shows of the year. However, behind the scenes, the actors had to endure a lot of hardships and challenges to bring their characters to life. In a recent interview with YouTube channel JinHo Bae, Wi Ha Joon and his co-stars shared some stories about their filming experience and their thoughts on the drama. https://youtu.be/eG3jxYXCZgE
Wi Ha Joon Suffered Minor Injuries During Action Scenes
One of the questions that the host asked Wi Ha Joon was whether he had any injuries or accidents while filming The Worst of Evil. The actor admitted that he had some minor injuries, which he said were his own fault. "So I have to be more cautious in the future if I were to have more action scenes." He explained that he had some scratches, bruises, and bumps on his body, which he was thankful that they were not serious. He also expressed his apology to the production team, who were worried about his condition. “I was very sorry to the staff because they were very concerned about me.” Wi Ha Joon’s character, Jung Ki Chul, is a cold-blooded and ambitious criminal who rose from being a low-level thug to the head of the biggest drug cartel in Korea. He is not afraid to use violence and intimidation to achieve his goals, and he often clashes with Park Joon Mo, who is trying to bring him down. The actor said that he had to prepare a lot for his role, especially for the action scenes. He revealed that he had to learn martial arts and practice with stuntmen before shooting. He also praised Ji Chang Wook for being a great partner in their fight scenes. “He (Ji Chang Wook) is very good at action scenes. He knows how to adjust his strength and timing. He also takes care of me a lot.”
Ji Chang Wook Shared His Secret Behind His 'Action Eyes’
(Photo : Jinho Bae YouTube) Another actor who impressed viewers with his action skills was Ji Chang Wook, who played Park Joon Mo, a detective who has been working hard for 10 years to get promoted. He is determined to catch Jung Ki Chul and expose his drug operation, even if it means risking his life and his marriage. Ji Chang Wook is no stranger to action dramas, as he has starred in several hit shows like Healer, The K2, and Suspicious Partner. He is known for his charismatic and powerful presence on screen, especially when he is fighting against villains. The host noticed that Ji Chang Wook has a signature stare that he gives before beating up someone. He asked him what was the secret behind his ‘action eyes’. The actor explained that it was not something that he forced, but rather something that came naturally from his emotions. "I try to think about the reasons why I have to beat this individual at the moment, and it’s the emotions because I wanted to beat someone like that." He added that his character was always on the edge of his emotions, as he had to deal with a lot of pressure and danger. He said that he tried to portray his character’s inner conflict and desperation through his eyes. “He (Park Joon Mo) is always on the verge of his emotions. He has a lot of things that he wants to do, but he can’t do them. He has a lot of things that he wants to say, but he can’t say them. He has a lot of things that he wants to protect, but he can’t protect them.”
Im Se Mi Talked About Her Chemistry with Wi Ha Joon and Ji Chang Wook
(Photo : Disney+) Im Se Mi played Yoo Eui Jung, Park Joon Mo’s wife and an elite narcotics officer. She is a smart and capable woman who loves her husband dearly. However, she also has a past that she wants to forget, which is her relationship with Jung Ki Chul. Im Se Mi said that she was drawn to her character’s complexity and growth. She said that she wanted to show how Yoo Eui Jung overcomes her trauma and finds her true self. “She (Yoo Eui Jung) has a lot of scars and pain that she has been hiding. She has been living a life that is not hers. I wanted to portray how she heals and changes through the drama.” Im Se Mi also talked about her chemistry with Wi Ha Joon and Ji Chang Wook, who played her love interests in the drama. She said that she had different vibes with each of them, which helped her express her character’s emotions. “With Wi Ha Joon, I felt a lot of tension and nervousness. He has a very strong aura and charisma. He also has a very deep voice, which made me feel intimidated. With Ji Chang Wook, I felt a lot of warmth and comfort. He has a very gentle and caring personality. He also has a very bright smile, which made me feel happy.” She said that both actors were very professional and supportive, and that they had a lot of fun on set. She also thanked them for being good partners and friends. “They (Wi Ha Joon and Ji Chang Wook) are both very good actors and very good people. They always helped me and gave me advice. They also made me laugh a lot. I’m very grateful to them.”
The Worst of Evil is Available on Disney+ and Hulu

☆ p𝗮𝗶𝗿. male reader x lee jinho (htf/viral hit)
☆ 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. top!amab!reader, bottom!Jinho, dom!reader, reader is called "man" once, slightly dub con, Jinho compares the reader to an animal (not in a sexy way), bondage, gag, Jinho struggles a bit, mean and manipulative reader, Jinho thinks about killing the reader, use of the word "slut", Jinho's asexuality implied. minors dni.
☆ 𝗮/𝗻. I'm damn proud of this one. I hate Jinho but would fuck him if I had the chance.
Unable to leave Korea and with his public image destroyed, Lee Jinho found himself back at the beginning, at the bottom of society. He looked for different methods to continue to profit even with his face plastered in the newspapers, and when none worked he found himself going down the path he most wanted to avoid and so, he ended up in this situation, knees against the soft carpet of the luxurious hotel room you'd brought him to, a smile threatening to fall from his lips and hands shaking with rage in his lap. You said you wanted to "test his goodwill", refusing to hear of business until Jinho got down on one knee before you. He was used to feigning submission in front of people above him, first his yakuza boss, then his political partner, but something about your smug look made anger ripple in his stomach.
You only asked for one thing in exchange for your help: his body. Jinho didn't refuse, despite his disinterest in sex, he wouldn't find settlement easier. Mating was a primal animal instinct, he wasn't surprised that a powerful man like you would ask something like that of him. You were like everyone else he knew, less a person and more an animal.
"Standing." The order came along with a sharp tug on the leash you had attached to the leather collar around his neck. His throat tightened and Jinho jumped to his feet, obeying the pull that brought him between your legs.
Your hands abandoned the leash to work on his pants, then his boxers, leaving him naked, limp cock sagging between his long legs. He wasn't embarrassed, on the contrary, there was an untouchable pride in his erect posture, even naked, vulnerable to your desires.
"You don't seem very excited yet Jinho," you scoffed, heavy scarred hands on his hips.
The next thing Jinho knew, he was being pressed back onto the bed, carefully bound hands and feet, a plastic ball in the mouth and two fingers with little lube stretching his ass, the tight collar made breathing more difficult. It had been smart of you to contain him, he would rip half your neck off with his teeth when you got too close and would easily break your bones if his hands were free when you spread your fingers inside him. Burning crept up his thighs in a futile attempt to ease the pressure of your fingers against his prostate.
He didn't know how looked to your eyes, but you looked satisfied, hard cock rubbing against him and tongue sliding over your bottom lip. His arms were tied behind his back, the rope crossed his chest in two simple patterns that held his arms, three knots crisscrossing over the top, barely avoiding his nipples. His legs were spread apart, thigh and leg bound together towards his chest. You had taken your time, humming as you tied him tight, making sure that even if he wanted to, he couldn't get away from you.
Jinho had to contain every instinct that told him to fight you, to untie himself and suffocate you with the purple rope that tied knots around his body. You were his last option, the only person capable of helping him. He would have plenty of time to dismember you later.
You smiled over him, as if you knew his every thought and didn't fear it. As if in retaliation, you pulled your fingers out of him and pressed the head of your cock against his quivering hole, bareback. Perception made him move automatically, trying to pull away from you, those beautiful eyes even prettier as they stared at you with pure hatred, one of his legs shooting into your stomach, even as the rope bit his skin. You lost the balance for a minute, smile still there, before recovering and grab his legs which he tried to kick towards your cock. You barely managed to hold him, reaching over him to look straight into his eyes, the closeness dragging your hard, wet cock against his ass. Jinho would never admit that the struggle made his cock finally start to swell against his stomach.
"Now Jinho, I'm just playing with you." Jinho swallowed hard, tempted to hit you again just by the content glow on your face, your hands tightening on the rope around his thigh. "I would never fuck a slut like you without a condom, I don't know how many holes that dick of yours has been in and I don't like to take risks."
This made his teeth close around the plastic ball. Jinho wanted to blow your head off for the offense, saying that he had never had sex with any of those animals without a condom. But he resigned himself to closing eyes, breathing deeply through the force with which his cock contracted, forming a wet puddle in his stomach, skin burning wherever you touched.
A second later your cock pressed insistently against the red rim of his hole, this time covered in latex, before breaking through resistance and slipping in. His walls immediately tightened through the instruction, burning as your thick cock slowly crawled inside, the stretch of just two fingers not being enough to stop a stab of pain shooting up his spine. Jinho's tense legs clenched tightly, eyelashes fluttering against his cheekbones as he tried to breathe through the gag in his mouth. Cock sunk deep inside him, head pressed insistently against his prostate and nails dug into the skin of his thigh, you didn't give him a minute to adjust, slowly pulling out before pushing back in with a firm thrust that knocked the air out of his lungs. Dots exploded behind his eyes, hips quivering as his cock spilled against his stomach.
His moans were muffled, eyes blinking in surprise at the semen that gushed from his cock. He'd never come before with any of the women he'd slept with, never felt such primal, overwhelming pleasure. Pleasure that had his head spinning and body falling limp against the silk sheets, cock still hard even after coming and the thought of more more more confusing his senses.
"Already? I thought you were hating this," you laughed, continuing to thrust inside him even as his hole tightened around you, making moving more difficult. "How about abandoning all your plans and staying with me, Jinho? I'll take care of you, all you have to do is be pretty and obedient to me. I promise I'll recover your image, deal with the How to Fight kids and you'll never have to worry about the police again."
Hadn't that been the plan, he would fuck you once and then you would use your connections to help him get back to his business, whether it was murder, trafficking or anything else, you would help him regain his power so that he would eventually get out of Korea. But cleaning up his image? Deal with those kids? Give him the power he so craved? Jinho didn't think he could get a better deal and with his foggy head and hypersensitive hole squeezing and sucking your thick cock, he nodded, couldn't imagine a better scenario than that. Not knowing that confirmation was enough for you and he would never again be able to escape your hands.

More Pentagon songs thoughts as I apparently fall into this pit several years late, courtesy of @seohotonin who is enabling this (I hope you’re OK with me continuing to do these as posts, I’m enjoying having them for my own music documentation):
Spring Snow, Precious Promise (to universe), Beautiful Goodbye, Just Do It Yo, Alien, Summer, Till..., Camellia, Asteroid , Die For You, The Black Hall, Talk
Under a cut because this ended up being long.
Spring Snow
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
This song is beautiful! I am really liking their sort of pop rock vocal focused songs is what I’m seeing here. I also just like the lyrical imagery of the song.
Precious Promise (to universe)
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
The vocals on this are beautiful, and the song is so sweet and soft. What is keeping me from absolutely loving it is some of the rap parts throwing it off for me as a whole (we have identified this problem for me already).
Beautiful Goodbye
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
We’ve got harmonies and call and response in the beautiful vocals for this. I am immediately into this! I really like the Yannan and Shinwon call and response then harmony part especially! Do I just have like 4 biases in this group though now, maybe. I continue to really like Hongseok and Yeo One’s voices as well through this.
Just Do It Yo
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
This doesn’t catch me as hard as some of the others, but I like it quite a bit! I really like the way Shinwon’s voice is used in this song. It’s a fun song overall, and catchy!
Alien
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
I... I’m confused? I love parts of this song! Yeo One and Hongseok harmonies, Yeo One and Yannan harmonies! Hui’s voice in general, honestly the four vocals that I appear to be really into in general through this. But then there are places where the song is suddenly different (the whistle blow and rap after threw me for a loop), and it yells at me, and I don’t like that (I legit flinched when the shout part happened). So, mixed review on this one from me.
Summer
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
I like this a lot! The rap flows well into the song as a whole, and Hongseok and Yannan’s parts especially stand out to me as really suiting them and being so good! Also Yeo One’s part towards the end! Hui is as always one of my favorite vocalists here. This is really like relaxing as a sound.
Till...
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
Ballad subunit, you have my attention immediately! I love Yeo One’s voice in this, it’s absolutely stealing the show for me! This really suits Yannan and Hongseok as well. I really appreciate Shinwon’s voice in this context. Overall, excellent song, very much my vibe. I love ballads in general (as long as I am here for the voices). Ooooh, that Yeo One and Jinho harmonization!
Camellia
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
I found myself missing where Yannan’s voice might have fit in this. The song is good, and I really enjoy my usuals who are here, and the bits of harmonization. I felt like some of the rap parts took a little bit of the steam out of the song for me, and I wanted it to build a little bit more into a resolution, but it’s nice to listen to and I enjoyed it! I think that it didn’t hold up super well right after “Till...” for me.
Asteroid
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
Another one that is a little bit confusing for me. The sound that they use in the non-vocal parts is, huh, not quite my thing and doesn’t go with a lot of the vocal flavor of the song for me. Missing Yannan’s voice again here. I like some of the vocal parts quite a bit, but I think it’s not my song.
Die For You
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
We were at “ok I really like this” and then there was the weird distortion noise over part of it, and wow that is a sound I don’t like. I still like the song as a whole pretty well, but that one sound knocked it down a notch for me. Also, still missing Yannan’s voice. Love Hui and Hongseok and Yeo One’s vocals (is anyone surprised at this point). This is one of the first times that Kino has done something vocally that I really appreciated (his part right at the end is really nice, I don’t dislike his voice other times, I’ve just not usually got strong feelings about it).
The Black Hall
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
I like the soundscape of this a lot! It’s got this interesting floating background sound going on that is nice. Really loving my usuals who are here, appreciate Shinwon’s voice here quite a bit. Still missing Yannan’s voice (is anyone surprised).
Talk
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
Really appreciating Hui, Hongseok, and Yeo One’s voices in this (I’m predictable). I actually liked Yuto’s rap here, so that’s new! I am not generally terribly rap inclined, and mostly I’ve liked Wooseok’s rap tone the best in the group, but whatever Yuto was doing here worked for me. Still missing Yannan’s voice, I think that’s going to be a problem for me for this album in general.

Solo Leveling Episode 10 Thoughts
This episode was wonderful! Spoilery thoughts for the anime, novel, and manhwa below:
The scene with Lee Joohee is really well handled, and so sad, especially with the extra anime info about how terrible her mother is... I feel really bad for her in a whole new way. She goes back to them in the manhwa as well (and I think in the novel, it's been a while), but since we didn't know about her family, it wasn't as bad, and felt like a needed break. This way... goodness, this is all kinds of sad.
I still think Joohee was massively underused as a character. I'm not sure if Chugong just decided she wasn't going to be the endgame love interest or what and just moved her out because of that, but the way her whole arc is handled is quite strange, other than maybe like... showing how damaging the dungeon system is in regard to PTSD. Which is a valuable story to tell, it'd be weird if no one else was broken this way (though Min Byunggu and clearly Choi Jongin have this, and Jinwoo and Sung Jinah deal with it to some extent), but Joohee just... she's not handled well at all. The story has things to say about ableism and how mental health is treated in our society. It's just kind of confusing at times.
Han Songyi, you are a child lol I love her still, but she is a child. Acting very much like a high schooler, though, thinking she can take on anything and adults always underestimate her.
I still really love this idea that they do this in a way to help out people who can't raid on their own/would have a hard time joining raids, especially the injured guy. Makes me think of poor Han Yoojin in S-Classes That I Raised, pre-regression...
Yoo Jinho, you are so silly even your husband doesn't take you seriously aldkjaldjal I always thought this back and forth was funny alkdjalj
Jinwoo wowing everyone with his l33t skillz. 4eVR in this section is lovely. Seeing Jinwoo be excited is wonderful :3
The White Tiger recruitment team arrives lol I was wondering if they'd get cut for some reason, given Woo Jinchul is taking up even more time in the anime than he did in the manhwa, and he absorbed a lot of their presence in the manhwa. But nope! Welcome, anime versions of Ahn Sangmin and Hyun Kichul!
Choi Jongin having nightmares of Jeju, poor guy T-T Love that angst, though. Thank you so much for adding this, anime. Bless my sad fire man.
Just beautiful. His Japanese VA does an amazing job.
Sangmin's model looks really nice in the anime. I love how they drew his sideburns and bangs.
Ah yes, we also get an incredibly unnecessary random female passerby ass shot like her skirt has been absorbed by her butt. Lest we forget this adaptation is an action-adventure series probably targeted at the shounen market made in Japan. As I recall, in the webnovel, Kichul does get busy chatting up women at some point (I thought it happened during this scene, but I can't find it looking back, so maybe my memory is just messy with how bad the novel overall is with women a lot of the time).
Sangmin just opening his mouth to a strange hunter aldkjaldja This whole continuing aspect of the story is still so ridiculous alkdjlaj I don't recall it being explained in the manhwa, but in the novel, Jinwoo discovers that he can't give potions he buys to other people to use. They literally disappear. But other people can take them. They just can't hold the bottles. So he has to feed it to them himself, and they can't see the bottles when he doesn't lol He also doesn't want people to see him pulling stuff out of his inventory cause inventory isn't a thing other Hunters have here.
I still love Jinwoo getting one over the stalkers, ahem, scouts. He's so creative, love him. Make the scouts second-guess crossing you :3
Ahhhh finally get Igris next episode T-T So excited. The boi at long lasttttt :333
