Wearing the mantle of hero isn’t quite his forte. He has a massive ego and could never be as selfless as superman. He’s was never as popular as Supes either.

 Launchpad is trying to get him to think beyond the situation. How far will he go to get what he wants.

My favorite moment in the Ducktales/darkwing duck fandom so far is how we went from "OH YEAH, JIMPAD RIGHTS" till that single episode and then we all collectively said "I want that twink OBLITERATED-" to Jim.
