IMO the Netflix subs gloss over how mordant and pithy Jieli's words are. My own translation follows line-by-line.

The Love Between Fairy and Devil/Cang Lan Jue Mini Bang is a fandom event for writers and artists, with the goal of creating collaborative work based on and inspired by the hit 2022 Chinese Drama, Love Between Fairy and Devil. It is in celebration of the first anniversary of the series.

Participating authors will each write a fanfiction of at least 5,000 words. Once the authors have decided on and submitted summaries for their work, the stories will be claimed by artists and matched. As the author works on completing their work, they will collaborate with the artist. Then, each artist will create at least one piece of accompanying fanart. Once we reach the deadline, all fic writers and artists will 'reveal' their work, resulting in a 'bang' of LBFAD fan content.

Signups for both artists and authors will open on AUGUST SEVENTH, aka the first anniversary of LBFaD.

We hope to see as many participants as possible. Please let your friends know, even if they are not on tumblr. Please also share our post regardless of whether you plan to participate or not. After all, more LBFaD fanworks is good for everyone. The more this spreads, the better, as we are a rather small fandom. 💜

rewatching lbfad and paying attention to Jieli whenever her friends are nice to her is so devastating. she knows she's betraying them every moment, and she loves them, but she has to (or believes she has to) harm them to survive. her turn around in the ep where she decides to dig her own grave to give in and say "they're more important to me than myself" is so emotional. she feels so much guilt over what she did that she can't bear to live to see herself hurt them again. she believes she doesn't deserve to live, and that's the worst part, because her friends forgive her in a second, regardless of what she did.
