Ok so there’s 78 cards in a full set. There are 22 major arcana cards which are the big theme cards (like “Justice” and “Strength”) and 56 minor arcana cards which are more mundane.

In the minor arcana 16 of the 56 cards are court cards which are “people” cards. And another 4 of them are Aces which can symbolize divine opportunities (or the root of their elemental suit). The minor arcana is divided into four elemental suits, usually called something like Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles and usually correspond to Fire, Water, Air, and Earth respectively.

There’s also three popular systems. There’s some other more esoteric ones like Etteilla but that’s likely not what your customer wants.

The most popular system is the Rider-Waite-Smith system. The minor arcana are scenic which makes it easier for most people to read and work with. Most decks you see on the market are based off the RWS. It looks like this:

Another system is the Thoth deck. The minors are illustrated but they’re more symbolic, and they have keywords. It’s more explicit in it’s occult origins and using it usually requires studying some western qabalah, basic astrology, and the creator Crowley’s writings, and maybe some familiarity with the golden dawn (an occult order). (There’s some astrology in the RWS too but it’s not always a one-to-one, and you don’t need it to learn the card meanings.) The last two cards in the picture are minor cards.

The last popular system is Marseilles. I’m not as familiar with it, but it seems the most subject to variety in reading and studying style among readers. Some study european art history, some the history of cartomancy, numerology, some have different elemental associations that make sense for them. The numbered minor arcana are not scenic, and decks styled after the Marseilles are called “pip decks” because the numbered minors are generally just literally like ten swords for the ten of swords, five cups for the five of cups.

I’m guessing your customer wants a RWS based deck.

If you’re more a fan of video content youtube has a lot of resources for tarot. Kelly Ann-Maddox has a ten part crash course in tarot meanings you can skip around through.

Some other tarot youtubers that go in depth are Tom Benjamin, Katey Flowers, and The Truth in Story has a nice “misc tarot” playlist.

Another thing you can do is look at deck reviews and tarot deck collections to see what people like in their decks. Like keywords, reversible backs, card stock, gilded edges, etc.

There are a couple videos and articles you can search like “how I designed my first tarot deck” or things I wish I knew etc.

I printed a deck using makeplayingcards.com and had good results. I’d recommend checking out the printer your customer wants to use because they have templates and size guides and box designs and stuff.

Well... let's see.

Jhara Ivez (half-arazealean) - highly aggressive and an utter bastard (makes children cry, doesn't care much about everything) - lycanthrope and very into poisons and archery - was, as an illegimate child, abused as a working slave on the farm - suffered through the raid on his family + Daddy's house and lived as a thief in Ostian afterwards - hates magic because of Ostians Temple priests - collects shiny stuff and skulls and will try to rob and/or kill you - can't sit still and doesn't sleep much because of nightmares and learned panic of getting found by guards, priests or other potential threats - ends up in Qyra... because he really, really, really, really doesn't want to die and be apart from Jespar

Pari (half-qyranian) - keeper - doesn't remember much of her early childhood or repressed it - worked as a lifeguard in Ostian and then wasn't able to save herself and Sirus - believes in good people (bad idea...) - falls in love with Calia because she's one of the only good things she encounters in Enderal that doesn't break her heart

Diego Funèbre (half-kiléan) - Spectralist, loves entropy, psionics and is also skilled with swords - accidentally set his family home on fire - was the apprentice of Ostians executioner who became his foster father - saw his foster father getting killed during the war and fled - is used to being avoided like the plague and likes dead more than living things - his "best friend" is Dood, the skeleton (of Asâtoron) - is fascinated by Dijaam who gets killed by Dood and proceeds to devour her soul to keep her by his side somehow - Diego gets more and more detached from life, and chooses to live in the Starcity in the end surrounded by his... uh... friends

His son Bars I who was the very first Orlov Trotter was half-Friesian. An unnamed Friesian mare was a great-grandame of all modern Orlov Trotters, that’s why sometimes they resemble Friesians.

19. If you could change your name, would you? What would you change it to?

I plan on changing my name, yes. I will not reveal my name change until I legally have it changed (I’m very paranoid after being stalked in the past so I apologize) but for now I’m using Ariso, which will be my middle name in the future. I will say that one of my hundreds of characters was an inspiration for my name change, so there’s that.

24. What are three places you want to travel?

If given the chance to go with a couple of people (because I’d like to travel with company since I am terrified of people and bringing friends is nice), I would say:

Japan, since there’s a lot of beautiful places and architecture, the fashion culture is hella great, and I’m already learning the language so I would be able to practice my skills! :D

Either Hawaii or one of the islands in the Pacific. I love learning about different cultures, and I did a little bit back when I was in my early teens but the information is practically gone now. It’s a shame.

Annnnnd Europe in general. Though, if I’m being honest, I’d like to travel the world, so I’m not sure what other specific places. Alas, I’m broke.
