Second themed sketch session with @jezahna, today's theme was cottage.

I wasn’t able to get all of the details in before the timer ran out as the piece was a little ambitious, and I feel I need to work on atmospheric values more in future drawings as well, but I’m happy I was able to make as far as I did with this piece. :>

Sketch of another OC of mine named Olin! He was part of a comic that I briefly started drafting up when I was a teen. He's a registered member of the fun police and takes himself too seriously... calm down man!

A space fairing pirate operating from a stolen ship - and holding the owner for ransom to the corporatocratic government. This is my OC Neilah from an old story. I never developed the story beyond some world-building but I remember I wanted to make the story into an animated series (as a 14-year-old with no animation knowledge whatsoever 😅).

Next in my portrait experiments. I think this was the most successful attempt in balancing sketchiness with painting, and I also played a little bit with the style.

Also this was supposed to be a sketch but I’ve been getting a little carried away and rendering them. Ultimately I’m trying to get better at creating clean digital sketches without getting into too much rendering but I find it’s a fine line between the two, as a painter I just want to go in and add dimension to contours.

How awesome has this journey for Six Fanarts been! It’s been incredibly fun drawing the coolest of cool characters requested by my lovely followers!

I’m so excited to say I finished this challenge, even if I was a little late to the boat in the first place :)

So excited for the new season of She Ra, I’m planning to binge watch it this weekend when I get the time!⠀

Here’s my painting in celebration, inspired by the twisted yet almost inseverable bond that Adora and Catra share.⠀

In terms of my process with this piece, this artwork was done with Procreate for the iPad. I’ve been trying to work on my line-art recently as well as in bringing in a rougher feel to my digital style, and I’m pretty happy with the results of my practice so far.

I’ve also provided a gif of my process. In the earlier stages I started with a completely different concept. The first concept didn’t feel like it was working for me so I went back to the thumbnail phase. I ended up finding that I valued the emotional aspect of the series the most and felt that my chosen concept allowed for the most expression of this.
