“That’s the fun part—how much you get to externalize internal darkness in a safe way and bring in things that are from your nightmares. Such as Joel’s capacity for violence, and being good at it. I didn’t get into any physical fights growing up, and definitely not as an adult. Violence scares me tremendously. Is it the fear of violence in general? Is it the fear of your own violence?” - PEDRO PASCAL for WIRED (January 2023)

Hi! Its Cecilia here, hope you're well! So weird thing happened during the Mass I went to tonight. It was the Sacred Heart mass tonight, and as I was in the choir loft kneeling during the Transsubstanciation (can't spell) I was prompted by a little voice inside myself that said since I care for the souls of the dead so much I should make a litany for the dead. I agreed to give it a try, feeling that similar tug that I feel when I think about religious life. However, I haven't the slightest clue how to create a litany, do you know about litanies or resources or should I just keep trying on my own to make something? A little confused but I want to do what God would ask of me. Hugs from where I'm at and happy month of the Sacred Heart! ❤️
Good Evening Cecilia!,
I am going well, thank you! It’s always good to hear from you.
Wow!! That’s amazing. You know I really think Jesus was speaking to your heart. That’s a powerful devotion if we can find it, because Purgatory is real. (If you want an excellent Catholic course on Purgatory here you go.) Let me see what I can find specifically for praying to the dead. I don’t know if you knew this already or not but praying for the dead is actually one of the works of spiritual works mercy in our faith AND souls in Purgatory cannot pray for themselves they rely on us to pray for them.
Now then…here some inspiration. I suggest buying a journal and writing these prayers down. First I’ll provide you with some prayers I know.
There is a prayer made by St. Gertrude according to tradition which can greatly ease the sufferings of souls in Purgatory.
Prayer of St. Gertrude
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
Prayer for the Deceased:
Remember, Lord, those who have died and gone before us marked with the sign of faith, especially those for whom we now pray. May these and all who sleep in Christ find in your presence light, happiness and peace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the Poor Souls in Purgatory:
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let the perpetual light shine upon them. And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Fatima Prayer:
(you can say this by itself and part of your Rosary)
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.
Anima Christi by St. Ignatius of Loyola:
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy wounds hide me. Separated from Thee let me never be. From the malignant enemy, defend me. At the hour of death, call me. And close to Thee bid me. That with Thy saints I may be Praising Thee, forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer of Sr Maria Consolata Betrone, a Poor Clare Capuchin:
(She is amazing. Read more here.)
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you please save souls!
Divine Mercy Chaplet:
(This can be prayed for the living, those about to die, and of course, ones in Purgatory…many miracles have happened through this Chaplet. Download the Relevant Radio app to hear livestreams and so much more.)
These Marian priests livestream the Chaplet daily. It’s how I learned it.
And nowww
Yes a Litany DOES exist!!!
I read this exact copy.
If you can’t afford to buy it now click here to read it.
…….
Lastly, yes you can also make your prayer too. I would first do as Jesus said. Go to your room to pray in secret. Make time for it. I would open a new page of your journal and pray to God about this. Ask Jesus to have the Holy Spirit give you inspiration to make a new prayer. Write down what you hear the Holy Spirit speaks in the silence of your heart. And yes it’s totally ok to borrow from other prayers to add to your own. I’m sure Jesus will love it. As you make it, share it with Jesus.
If you feel comfortable enough in the future, share it with others. We can save many souls.
What a wonderful thing! May God bless you.

Meditations of St. Padre Pio – Part 2 B
Padre Pio was at the height of his priestly apostolate with multitudes of pilgrims visiting him, for his Mass, to confess to him, and to ask him for prayers and counsel. He was a master of souls; he directed everyone with penetrating words full of deep meaning. His series of "Meditations" was the first complete text of Padre Pio's thoughts. These texts consists of Padre Pio's meditations upon the fundamental dogmas of the Catholic faith. The Immaculate Conception and the Incarnation of Jesus. He then relives Jesus' agony in the garden of olives. Next he reflects on the human condition, and on our need to turn to God in the passing of our days. These are not conventional texts; they are reflections derived from the contemplation of the absolute Truth. “Mary Immaculate” is a more theological text. The others are more human and simple.
Padre Pio, in the first years of his residence in San Giovanni Rotondo (1918 – 1920), when he was freer from the care of souls, wrote a few meditations for his novices and his spiritual daughters of the Franciscan Third Order. They were the text of his lectures or instructions that he gave weekly as their Spiritual Director. After that, between the years 1925 – 1928, Padre Pio compiled other meditations. Fr. Agostino of San Marco in Lamis affirms it in his "Diary:" The Provincial, Fr. Bernardo of Alpicella, once suggested to Padre Pio to “compile a few meditations for the principal feasts of the year for our seminarians.” When Padre Pio was shown the possibility of publishing these meditations, he said: "I have written these things for myself." But, when it was explained to him that "they would do a lot of good to our souls" he smilingly said: "if it is as you say, bonum est diffu sivum sui (good, by its nature, is destined to be spread).
First Meditation - Christmas Season - Part 2
J. M. J. – D. F. C. Note: The initials J. M. J. – D. F. C. Stands for Jesus, Mary, Joseph – Dominic, Francis, Catherine
O Divine Spirit, move my heart to adore and to love: enlighten my intellect that it may contemplate the sublimity of the great mystery of love, of a God who has become a little Child; inflame my will that I may use it to warm the One who for my sake lies shivering on the straw. O Mary, my Mother, lead me to the cave of Bethlehem and let me plunge into contemplation of the great and sublime event that is about to take place in the silence of this greatest and most beautiful night the world has ever known.
O my soul, look upon your heavenly Mother who with Joseph her husband obeys the decree of Augustus and simultaneously God's command, in order that the prophecies may be fulfilled. In the depths of winter she travels from Nazareth to Bethlehem, regardless of her dignity as the Mother of God. Without hesitation she obeys a creature of this earth who unknown to himself contributes by a decree to the accomplishment of the divine plan. By the enrollment of the holy pair their descent from the Royal stock of David is recognized, along with the One who is to be the Savior of the world, the King of all hearts. His coming is imminent, the hour is about to strike. The earth will receive its Savior but the world will not recognize him.
Bethlehem refuses its God a place in which to open his eyes to the light. It refuses shelter to the Mother and her Spouse. Oh, how embarrassed I feel as I consider that on innumerable occasions I have closed the door of my heart to divine inspirations. How many times have I refused admittance to the One who knocked on the door of my heart to reign there as King of love, while I gave way to the most despicable passions. O my soul, what confusion. O Jesus, always abundantly merciful, forgive me. Come and be born again in my soul and remain there forever. If the door resist you, force it open and reign in me for all time. You know the will that wants to possess you absolutely, to love you and be subject to your divine laws. Bring into my cold heart the most ardent love. Set alight in it that fire which you came to spread on earth, so that consumed by it, I may be immolated on the altar of your love, as a Holocaust of love, so that you may reign in my heart and in the hearts of all men and that from all men everywhere may rise up a hymn of praise and blessing and Thanksgiving to you for the love you have shown us in this mystery of Divine tenderness.
II
O my soul, see the holy pair driven away by all because there is no room, nor any pity for them, no consideration for the state of that gentle Virgin of Nazareth who is about to bring forth the Son of God, the Virgin full of grace who attracts God to her bosom. See how the hearts of creatures remain unmoved as they drive them away. The humble Virgin recognizes the divine plan in all this. She understands and prays for that people which ignobly rejects its God, its Savior. The holy pair leave the town and their eyes fall on a lowly and cold refuge, the only place worthy to receive the One who by the lowliness of his birth wants to show us an example and reveal to us his infinite love for us. He comes down from the heights of heaven to the lowliest place on earth, to a poor stable in the midst of animals. The divine Mother enters into that place adoring the divine plan and with Joseph, her Spouse, she retires to a corner, immersed in deep prayer, in highest contemplation. Her love for the One she bears in her womb inflames her desire to see him, to clasp him in her arms and hold him to her heart. The hour draws near. And you, O celestial inhabitants of heaven, come and receive on earth the One who makes you blessed in paradise. Come and offer him the adoration you pay to him in heaven. Come and gladden the earth what your heavenly songs. Come and illumine with your light the darkness of this holy night. Come and manifest to our souls the love of a God Incarnate. Come, O heavenly court, to render homage to your King, hidden under the semblance of a lowly human being. And you, O earth, rejoice that although your inhabitants reject him, he comes just the same. Impelled by love he hastens his gigantic steps and eats up the path by the ardor of his divine Heart. Love forgets all, forgives all, gives all without reserve, and behold he hastens his coming with the sole desire to suffer and to enrich us with his gifts, with the desire to offer worthy adoration and abundant satisfaction to his heavenly Father, to bring Redemption to mankind and to merit men's sanctification.
He comes forth from his Mother's womb like a ray of light which comes through crystal without marring its splendor and the Angels are there to place him in his Mother's arms. O Mary, tell us what poured from your heart at that moment. Who could penetrate into that furnace of fire? She presses him to her heart, and adores in him her God, her Creator, her All. Love overcomes respect. She sees in him God clothed in flesh because of his love. She beholds him powerless and in need of her support and she adores him as the Omnipotent. She sees him tiny and adores him in his infinite greatness which has abased itself. She sees him poor and adores him as infinitely rich. She contemplates him in his lowliness and recognizes him as sublime and divine. She sees him clothed in mortal flesh and adores him as immortal for all eternity. She sees him born and acknowledges him as the uncreated One of the eternal years, generated from all eternity in the splendor of holiness in the bosom of the Father. On our behalf she adores and loves the One who for love has become a day-old Infant, capable of suffering and dying. The heavenly Child cries and suffers, and perfectly aware of everything, offers to the eternal justice his tears and his adoration. The Godhead receives from earth through the action of the Creator-Creature all the love and glory which made owe to him.
The Word united to humanity adores the Father in spirit and truth. Divine Wisdom with a full appreciation of his meditation, small in exterior form, gives back for us to the Father at that moment all that the creature owes to its Creator.
O God, what a debt of gratitude we owe you. With what great love should our hearts burn for you. With this fire of love we ought to warm those tiny trembling limbs of yours. Your tenderness conquers my heart and I am overcome by your love, O heavenly Child. Let contact with your fire consume me, burn me, reduce me to ashes here at your feet. May I be dissolved by love and extol your goodness and charity.

Today, the Church remembers the the visit of the Blessed Virgin Mary the mother of Jesus to her cousin Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist as recorded in the Gospel of Luke 1:39–56.
Traditionallly, Mary, a young Jewish girl who was little more than an adolescent by today's standards, (probably around the age of 13, the traditional age of transition from child to adult and the age for getting married) when she left Nazareth after the Annunciation of the angel Gabriel that she, though a virgin, would bear the Son of God, and her pregnancy had become visible.
Her pregnancy was complicated for many reasons, mostly because she was unmarried, though betrothed, and Luke records that she went "into the hill country...into a city of Judah" to attend to her cousin Elizabeth. Elizabeth was in the sixth month of her pregnancy before Mary came. Mary stayed three months, and most scholars hold she stayed for the birth of John. Given the prevailing cultural traditions and needs for security, etc., it is probable that Joseph accompanied Mary to Judah then returned to Nazareth, and came again after three months to take Mary back to their home. The visitation of the angel Gabriel to Joseph, mentioned in Matthew 1:19–25, may have taken place when she was with Elizabeth to end the tormenting doubts of Joseph regarding Mary's maternity.
It is traditionally held that the purpose of this visit was to bring divine grace to both Elizabeth and her unborn child. Even though he was still in his mother's womb, John became aware of the presence of the Son of God, Jesus, and leapt for joy, being filled with Holy Spirit. In this one line of Scripture, we can see the clear teaching of Scripture that unborn children, no matter the stage of development, are fully human and capable of knowing and responding to the presence of God. The ongoing clinical murder of unborn children is an unspeakable evil, and we must pray for God to have mercy on us and give us his Spirit to transform our minds to recognize this truth, that at conception we are fully human, made in the image of God, and must be protected and nurtured in love.
Elizabeth also responded similarly and recognized the presence of Jesus, at which she [Elizabeth] spoke out with a loud voice, and said, "Hail, Mary, full of grace! Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord."
In response to Elizabeth, Mary proclaims the Magnificat:
"My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.
For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever."
Blessed indeed is she who believed the promise of the Lord, and blessed is he, Joseph, who also believed the promise of the Lord.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Bearer of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Father in heaven, by your grace the virgin mother of your incarnate Son was blessed in bearing him, but still more blessed in keeping your word: Grant us who honor the exaltation of her lowliness to follow the example of her devotion to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

DAILY SCRIPTURE READINGS (DSR) 📚 Group ... Daily Prayers
THE SEVEN SORROWS ROSARY PRAYER
■ SIGN OF THE CROSS
In the name of The Father, and The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Amen.
■ INTRODUCTORY PRAYER
My God, I offer You this Rosary for Your glory, so I can honor your Holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin, so I can share and meditate upon her suffering. I humbly beg you to give me true repentance for all my sins. Give me wisdom and humility, so that I may receive all the indulgences contained in this prayer.
■ ACT OF CONTRITION
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend You, my God, You Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.
■ Hail Mary ×3
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
1. THE FIRST SWORD OF SORROW: The Prophecy of Simeon (Luke 2:22-35)
"And when the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord (as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord"). There, the old priest Simeon held the baby Jesus in his hands, and the Holy Spirit filled his heart. Simeon recognized Jesus as the promised Savior and held the Child high toward heaven, thanking God for granting his wish that he would live long enough to behold the Messiah.
"Now Your servant may depart this life in peace, my Lord," he said… Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, "Behold, this Child is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed.”
The Blessed Virgin knew that she had given birth to the Savior of humankind, so she immediately understood and accepted Simeon’s prophecy. Although her Heart was deeply touched by this favor of bearing the Baby Jesus, her Heart remained heavy and troubled, for she knew what had been written about the ordeals and subsequent death of the Savior. Whenever she saw her Son, she was constantly reminded of the suffering He would be subject to, and His suffering became her own.
■ PRAYER: Beloved Mother Mary, whose Heart suffered beyond bearing because of us, teach us to suffer with you and with love, and to accept all the suffering God deems it necessary to send our way. Let us suffer, and may our suffering be known to God only, like yours and that of Jesus. Do not let us show our suffering to the world, so it will matter more and be used to atone for the sins of the world. You, Mother, who suffered with the Savior of the world, we offer you our suffering, and the suffering of the world, because we are your children. Join those sorrows to your own and to those of the Lord Jesus Christ, then offer them to God the Father. You are a Mother greater than all.
■ Our Father
■ Hail Mary ×7
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
2. THE SECOND SWORD OF SORROW: The Flight into Egypt (Matthew 2:13-15)
Mary’s Heart broke and her mind was greatly troubled when Joseph revealed to her the words of the angel: they were to wake up quickly and flee to Egypt because Herod wanted to kill Jesus. The Blessed Virgin hardly had time to decide what to take or leave behind; she took her Child and left everything else, rushing outside before Joseph so that they could hurry as God wished. Then she said, "Even though God has power over everything, He wants us to flee with Jesus, His Son. God will show us the way, and we shall arrive without being caught by the enemy."
Because the Blessed Virgin was the Mother of Jesus, she loved Him more than anyone else. Her heart was deeply troubled at the sight of her Infant Son’s discomfort, and she suffered greatly because He was cold and shivering. While she and her husband were tired, sleepy, and hungry during this long travel, Mary’s only thought was about the safety and comfort of her Child. She feared coming face to face with the soldiers who had been ordered to kill Jesus because she was aware that the enemy was still in Bethlehem. Her heart remained constantly anguished during this flight. She also knew that where they were going, there would be no friendly faces to greet them.
■ PRAYER: Beloved Mother, who has suffered so much, give to us your courageous heart. Please pray for us to have strength so that we can be brave like you and accept with love the suffering God sends our way. Help us to also accept all the suffering we inflict upon ourselves and the suffering inflicted upon us by others. Heavenly Mother, you, in union with Jesus, purify our suffering so that we may give glory to God and save our souls.
■ Our Father
■ Hail Mary ×7
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
3. THE THIRD SWORD OF SORROW: The Loss of Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:41-52)
Jesus was the only begotten Son of God, but He was also Mary’s child. The Blessed Virgin loved Jesus more than herself because He was her God. Compared to other children, He was most unique because He was already living as God. When Mary lost Jesus on their way back from Jerusalem, the world became so big and lonely that she believed she couldn't go on living without Him, so great was her Sorrow. (She felt the same pain her Son felt when He was later abandoned by His apostles during the Passion.)
As the Holy Mother looked anxiously for her beloved Boy, deep pain welled in her heart. She blamed herself, asking why she didn’t take greater care of Him. But it was not her fault; Jesus no longer needed her protection as before. What really hurt Mary was that her son had decided to stay behind without her consent. Jesus had pleased her in everything so far: He never annoyed her in any way, nor would He ever displease His parents. She knew that He always did what was necessary, however, so she never suspected Him of being disobedient.
■ PRAYER: Beloved Mother, teach us to accept all our sufferings because of our sins and to atone for the sins of the whole world.
■ Our Father
■ Hail Mary ×7
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
4. THE FOURTH SWORD OF SORROW: Mary Meets Jesus on the Way to Calvary (Luke 23:27-31)
Mary witnessed Jesus carrying the heavy cross alone—the cross on which He was to be crucified. This didn’t surprise the Blessed Virgin because she already knew about the approaching death of Our Lord. Noting how her son was already weakened by the numerous hard blows given by the soldiers’ clubs, she was filled with anguish at His pain. The soldiers kept hurrying and pushing Him, though He had no strength left. He fell, exhausted, unable to raise Himself. At that moment, Mary’s eyes, so full of tender love and compassion, met her Son’s eyes, which were pained and covered in blood. Their hearts seemed to be sharing the load; every pain He felt, she felt as well. They knew that nothing could be done except to believe and trust in God and dedicate their suffering to Him. All they could do was put everything in God’s hands.
■ PRAYER: Beloved Mother, so stricken with grief, help us to bear our own suffering with courage and love so that we may relieve your Sorrowful Heart and that of Jesus. In doing so, may we give glory to God Who gave you and Jesus to humanity. As you suffered, teach us to suffer silently and patiently. Grant unto us the grace of loving God in everything. O Mother of Sorrows, most afflicted of all mothers, have mercy on the sinners of the whole world.
■ Our Father
■ Hail Mary ×7
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
5. THE FIFTH SWORD OF SORROW: Mary Stands at the Foot of the Cross (John 19:25-27)
The Blessed Virgin Mary continued to climb the mount to Calvary, following behind Jesus painfully and sorrowfully, yet suffering silently. She could see Him staggering and falling with the cross some more, and she witnessed her Son being beaten by soldiers who pulled His hair to force Him to stand up. Despite His innocence, when Jesus reached the top of Calvary, He was ordered to confess in front of the crowd so they could laugh at Him. Mary deeply felt her Son’s pain and humiliation, particularly when His tormentors forced Him to strip off what was left of His clothing. The Blessed Virgin felt sick at heart seeing these tyrants crucifying her Son naked, shaming Him terribly merely to amuse the jeering crowd. (Jesus and Mary felt more disgrace than normal people did because they were without sin and holy.)
The Blessed Virgin Mary felt pain beyond bearing when Jesus was stretched out on the Cross. His murderers sang merrily as they approached Him with hammers and nails. They sat on Him heavily so that He could not move when they spiked Him to the wood. As they hammered the nails through His hands and feet, Mary felt the blows in her heart; the nails pierced her flesh as they tore into her Son’s body. She felt her life fading away.
As the soldiers lifted the Cross to drop it into the hole they had dug, they deliberately jerked it, causing the force of His body weight to tear through the flesh and expose His bone. The pain shot through His body like liquid fire.
Jesus endured three excruciating hours skewered on the Cross, yet the physical pain was nothing compared to the agonizing heartache He was forced to bear seeing His mother suffering below Him. Mercifully, He finally died.
■ PRAYER: Beloved Mother, Queen of the Martyrs, give us the courage you had in all your sufferings so that we may unite our sufferings with yours and give glory to God. Help us follow all His commandments and those of the Church so that Our Lord’s sacrifice will not be in vain, and all sinners in the world will be saved.
■ Our Father
■ Hail Mary ×7
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
6. THE SIXTH SWORD OF SORROW: Mary Receives the Dead Body of Jesus in Her Arms (John 19:38-40)
The friends of Jesus, Joseph and Nicodemus, took down His Body from the Cross and placed It in the outstretched arms of the Blessed Virgin. Then Mary washed It with deep respect and love because she was His mother. She knew better than anyone else that He was God incarnate who had taken a human body to become the Savior of all people.
Mary could see the terrifying wounds from the flogging Jesus had received while at Pilate’s. His flesh had been shredded and large strips had been torn from His back. His entire body had been so lacerated that gaping wounds crisscrossed Him from head to toe. Mary found that the wounds from the nails were less severe than those caused by the flogging and by carrying the Cross. She was horrified at the thought that her Son had managed to carry the heavy, splintered Cross all the way to Calvary. She saw the circle of blood the Crown of Thorns had made on His forehead and, to her horror, realized that many of the barbed thorns had dug so deeply into His skull they had penetrated His brain. Looking at her broken Boy, the Holy Mother knew that His agonizing death was far worse than the torture reserved for the wickedest of criminals.
As she cleaned His damaged Body she envisioned Him during each stage of His short life, remembering her first look at His beautiful new born face as they lay in the manger, and every day in between, until this heart rending moment as she gently bathed His lifeless Body. Her anguish was relentless as she prepared her Son and Lord for burial, but she remained brave and strong, becoming the true Queen of Martyrs. As she washed her Son she prayed that everybody would know the riches of Paradise and enter the Gates of Heaven. She prayed for every soul in the world to embrace God’s Love, so her Son’s torturous death would benefit all humankind and not have been in vain. Mary prayed for the world; she prayed for all of us.
■ PRAYER: We thank you, Beloved Mother, for your courage as you stood beneath your dying Child to comfort Him on the Cross. As our Savior drew His last breath, you became a wonderful Mother to all of us; you became the Blessed Mother of the world. We know that you love us more than our own earthly parents do. We implore you to be our advocate before the Throne of Mercy and Grace so that we can truly become your children. We thank you for Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, and we thank Jesus for giving you to us. Please pray for us, Mother.
■ Our Father
■ Hail Mary ×7
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
7. THE SEVENTH
SWORD OF SORROW: The Body of Jesus is Placed in the Tomb (John 19:41-42)
The life of the Blessed Virgin Mary was so closely linked to that of Jesus she thought there was no reason for her to go on living any longer. Her only comfort was that His death had ended His unspeakable suffering. Our Sorrowful Mother, with the help of John and the Holy women, devoutly placed the Body in the sepulcher, and she left Him. She went home with great pain and tremendous Sorrow; for the first time she was without Him, and her loneliness was a new and bitter source of pain. Her heart had been dying since her Son’s heart had stopped beating, but she was certain that our Savior would soon be resurrected.
■ PRAYER: Most Beloved Mother, whose beauty surpasses that of all mothers, Mother of Mercy, Mother of Jesus, and Mother to us all, we are your children and we place all our trust in you. Teach us to see God in all things and all situations, even our sufferings. Help us to understand the importance of suffering, and also to know the purpose of our suffering as God had intended it.
You yourself were conceived and born without sin, were preserved from sin, yet you suffered more than anybody else. You accepted suffering and pain with love and with unsurpassed courage. You stood by your Son from the time He was arrested until He died. You suffered along with Him, felt His every pain and torment. You accomplished the Will of God the Father; and according to His will, you have become our Mother. We beg you, dear Mother, to teach us to do as Jesus did. Teach us to accept our cross courageously. We trust you, most Merciful Mother, so teach us to sacrifice for all the sinners in the world. Help us to follow in your Son’s footsteps, and even to be willing to lay down our lives for others.
■ Our Father
■ Hail Mary ×7
■ Most Merciful Mother, remind us always about the Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
CONCLUDING PRAYER
Queen of Martyrs, your heart suffered so much. I beg you, by the merits of the tears you shed in these terrible and sorrowful times, to obtain for me and all the sinners of the world the grace of complete sincerity and repentance. Amen.
■ Mary, who was conceived without sin and who suffered for us, pray for us. ×3
■ SIGN OF THE CROSS: In the name of The Father, and The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Amen.

"Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow?" (John 19:31-34; Lamentations 1:12)
The Rosary of the Seven Sorrows dates back to the Middle Ages, but it gained new popularity following the Marian apparitions in Kibeho, which have been approved by the Catholic Church. During Mary's apparitions to Marie-Claire Mukangango, she assigned the young visionary a mission to reintroduce this special rosary to the world. Before her untimely death, Marie Claire did just that, traveling widely to teach it to thousands of people, who then taught it to thousands of others. (Marie-Claire was killed in the genocide of over a million people in Rwanda, a tragedy that was foretold through visions of rivers of blood that the young people in Kibeho received several years before the killings.)
She (the Holy Virgin) promised that when prayed with an open and repentant heart, the rosary would win us the Lord's forgiveness for our sins and free our souls from guilt and remorse. She also promised that over time, the rosary would develop within us a deep understanding of why we sin, and that knowledge would give us the wisdom and strength to change or remove any internal flaws, weaknesses of character, or personality faults causing unhappiness and keeping us from enjoying the joyous life God intended for us...
HOW TO PRAY THE SEVEN SORROWS ROSARY
This prayer heregiven is a description of this amazing Rosary as the Virgin Mother herself taught it to Marie-Claire in Kibeho. It may be prayed aloud or contemplated in silence, alone or with others; the key is for the prayers, reflections, and meditations to always come from the depths of our hearts...It is important that, when we reach each of the Seven Sorrows, we take a moment to meditate on the magnitude of Mary's sufferings...and the strength of Our Mother's love. Always repent, pray and convert your hearts whilst there is yet time!
The Lord be with you!

“The source of grace is here..."
April 12, 2024
Dear Family of Mary!
This has been a big week! We are responding to the call to pray fervently and offer sacrifices for the sake of souls for these 40 days leading up to Pentecost! We are praying for a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all of God's children. The world needs a new Pentecost! We believe that Our Lady wants us to pray this way. In her last message she said to us:
March 25, 2024:
Dear children! In this time of grace, pray with me for the good to win in you and around you. In a special way, little children, pray united with Jesus on His Way of the Cross. Into your prayers put this humanity which wanders without God and without His love. Be prayer, be light, and be witnesses to all those whom you meet, little children, so that the merciful God may have mercy toward you. Thank you for having responded to my call.
This message was a definite call to intercede for all humanity! She asked us to pray for the good to win!!! She asked us to pray for this humanity which wanders without God and without His love. She asked us to be prayer, to be light and to be witnesses to all those whom we meet! This is the program we are attempting to live these 40 days.
Knowing this, I was praying with Denis today, and heard the words, "May 8th". I realized Our Lady wanted me to look for a message from her on May 8th. I looked, and discovered there has only been one message on May 8th! It is the May 8, 1986 message. I was blown away by what it contained:
"Dear Children! You are responsible for the messages. The source of grace is here, but you, dear children, are the vehicles transmitting the gifts. Therefore, dear children, I am calling you to work responsibly. Everyone will be responsible according to his own measure. Dear children, I am calling you to give the gift to others with love and not to keep it for yourselves. Thank you for having responded to my call." May 8, 1986
I feel that one of the things we need to do during these 40 days is to share Our Lady's messages with all who will listen. Her messages are filled with grace, just like Mary is. They are filled with anointing for those who read them. They will help people who do not know Our Lady yet, to know her!! We are responsible for the messages. If we don't share them, who will? (Denis wants you all to know that this message was the inspiration for Mary TV!!)
So along with our prayer, we need to share the messages far and wide!! This is a holy war for souls! Thank you for responding to Our Lady's call!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

[FEAST: NOVEMBER 27]
#OpeningPrayer
O Most Holy Virgin,
O my Mother, ask thy Son on my behalf for everything my soul and all mankind needs so that thy Reign be established on earth.
My most earnest request is that thou mayest triumph in me and in all souls and implant thy Reign on earth.
Amen.
[First Day]
#TheFirstApparition
(Chair used by Our Lady)
The chair used by Our Lady while speaking with St. Catherine
During the night of July 18-19, 1830, the Most Holy Virgin appeared for the first time to Saint Catherine Labouré,
who had been awakened and led from the dormitory to the chapel by her guardian angel.
In the sanctuary, Saint Catherine later wrote:
“I heard something like the rustling of a silk dress, coming from the side of the tribune,
close to Saint Joseph’s picture.
She alighted on the steps of the altar on the Gospel side,
in an arm chair like Saint Anne’s...
As I looked up at Our Lady I flung myself close to her, falling on my knees on the altar steps, my hands resting in her knees.
That was the sweetest moment of my life.”
[LET US PRAY]
O Most Holy Virgin,
O my Mother, look on my soul with mercy,
obtain for me a spirit of prayer that leads me always to have recourse to thee.
Obtain for me the graces that I implore of thee and, above all, inspire me to pray for the graces that thou most wants to grant me.
Our Father....
Hail Mary....
Glory Be....
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

#OpeningPrayer
Priest:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
People: Amen.
Priest:
Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created.
People:
And You shall renew the face of the earth.
Priest:
Let us pray.
Oh God, who did instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise and ever to rejoice in His consolation, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
People: Amen.
Priest:
O Mary, conceived without sin.
People:
Pray for us who have recourse to you (repeat 3 times)
Priest and People:
O Lord, Jesus Christ, who have vouchsafed to glorify by numberless miracles the Blessed Virgin Mary, immaculate from the first moment of her conception, grant that all who devoutly implore her protection on earth, may eternally enjoy Your presence in heaven, who, with the Father and Holy Spirit, live and reign, God forever and ever. Amen.
O Lord, Jesus Christ, who for the accomplishment of Your greatest works, have chosen the weak things of the world, that no flesh may glory in Your sight; and who for a better and more widely diffused belief in the Immaculate Conception of Your Mother, have wished that the Miraculous Medal be manifested to Saint Catherine Labouré,
grant we beseech You, that filled with like humility, we may glorify this mystery by word and work.
Amen.
#Memorare
Remember, O most compassionate Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your assistance, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, we fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, our Mother; to you we come; before you we kneel, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but, in your clemency, hear and answer them. Amen.
#NovenaPrayer
O Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of Our Lord Jesus and our Mother, penetrated with the most lively confidence in your all-powerful and never-failing intercession, manifested so often through the Miraculous Medal, we your loving and trustful children implore you to obtain for us the graces and favors we ask during this Novena,
if they be beneficial to our immortal souls, and the souls for whom we pray.
(Here privately form your petitions.)
You know, O Mary, how often our souls have been the sanctuaries of your Son who hates iniquity.
Obtain for us, then, a deep hatred of sin and that purity of heart which will attach us to God alone, so that our every thought, word and deed may tend to His greater glory.
Obtain for us also a spirit of prayer and self-denial, that we may recover by penance what we have lost by sin and at length attain to that blessed abode where you are the Queen of angels and of men Amen.
#AnActofConsecrationtoOurLadyoftheMiraculousMedal
O Virgin Mother of God, Mary Immaculate, we dedicate and consecrate ourselves to you under the title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
May this Medal be for each one of us a sure sign of your affection for us and a constant reminder of our duties toward you.
Ever while wearing it, may we be blessed by your loving protection and preserved in the grace of your Son.
O most powerful Virgin, Mother of our Savior, keep us close to you every moment of our lives.
Obtain for us, your children, the grace of a happy death; so that, in union with you, we may enjoy the bliss of heaven forever. Amen.
(Repeat 3 times:)
Priest:
O Mary, conceived without sin.

Pray for us who have recourse to you.

It's not a question or request but rather a big Thank you. I've been sending a few prayer requests anonymously over time and I'm so glad for your patient and continued prayers. I really do hope we meet each other in heaven and I can thank you and God for you. Have a nice day :)
Awww you’re gonna make me cry!!!! 🥺🥹 💖
Thank you so much! You’re always welcome here. You’re welcome I’m so glad my little prayers can help a soul. I hope we meet in Heaven!
I will give you a prayer I say twice in my heart each day (part of it was given to me by a dear friend on here who hasn’t been active in a long time):
Dear God: Please have mercy on me, a sinner. I love You. Amen. Dear God, I dedicate and rededicate this day to You. You know the woman You want me to be and I want to be that woman. Forge me into Your sword, Your shield, Your armor, that I may defend Thy Word and Thy worthy weak, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord *make the sign of the cross*, Amen.
Bonus! I say this once each day.
Dear God, I dedicate my work this day to You, all my joys, my knowledge, my pains, and my suffering, for the conversion of sinners, to save souls in Purgatory, to heal offenses against Your most Sacred Heart, to heal offenses against Your mother Mary’s Immaculate Heart, to heal offenses against Your adopted father St. Joseph’s chaste heart, for all the Catholics around the world, and (insert whatever else here). Amen.

Funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
PRAYER OF CARDINAL NEWMAN
Oh, my Lord and Saviour,
support me in that hour
in the strong arms of your Sacraments,
and by the fresh fragrance of your consolations.
Let the absolving words be said over me,
and the holy oil sign and seal me,
and your own Body be my food,
and your Blood my sprinkling;
and let my sweet Mother, Mary, breathe on me,
and my Angel whisper peace to me,
and my glorious Saints (NN.) smile upon me;
that in them all, and through them all,
I may receive the gift of perseverance,
and die, as I desire to live,
in your faith, in your Church, in your service,
and in your love. Amen.
PRAYER TO THE FATHER
Almighty and merciful God,
you have given to the human race
the medicine of salvation and the gift of everlasting life.
Look with mercy on us your servants
and restore the souls which you have created,
that in the hour of their passing
they may deserve to be cleansed from all sin
and set before you, their Creator, by the hands of your holy Angels. Amen.
ANOTHER PRAYER TO THE FATHER
O God,
great and omnipotent judge of the living and the dead,
we are to appear before you after this short life
to render an account of our works.
Give us the grace to prepare for our last hour
by a devout and holy life,
and protect us against a sudden and unprovided death.
Let us remember our frailty and mortality,
that we may always live in the ways of your commandments.
Teach us to be watchful in prayer,
that when your summons come
for our departure from this world,
we may go forth to meet you,
experience a merciful judgment,
and rejoice in everlasting happiness.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
PRAYER TO THE FATHER FOR THE GRACE OF THE EXAMPLE OF CHRIST AND THE SAINTS
Almighty Creator of all, I adore you
and I ask of you the grace of a holy death.
No matter how greatly I have thus far abused and wasted the life you gave me
grant me the grace to end it in your holy love.
Let me die, like the holy Patriarchs,
forsaking this valley of tears without sadness,
to enter into the joy of eternal rest
in my own true home.
Let me die, like the glorious Saint Joseph,
in the arms of Jesus and Mary,
repeating in turn each of these sweet names
which I hope to bless throughout eternity.
Let me die, like the immaculate and blessed Virgin,
in the purest love of Jesus
and the desire to be reunited to the only object of my love.
Let me die, like Jesus on the Cross,
with the most lively sentiments
of hatred for sin,
of love for you, heavenly Father,
and of perfect resignation in my agony.
Holy Father,
into your hands I commend my spirit.
Be merciful unto me.
Jesus, who died for me,
grant me the grace of dying
with perfect love for you.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for me
now and at the hour of my death.
My Guardian Angel,
my holy Patron Saints,
do not abandon me at the hour of my death.
Saint Joseph,
obtain for me the grace
of dying the death of the just. Amen.
PRAYER TO CHRIST FOR GRACE
O Lord Jesus,
pour into us the spirit of your love,
that in the hour of our death
we may be worthy to vanquish the enemy
and receive the heavenly crown. Amen.
PRAYER TO CHRIST FOR PROTECTION
O Lord Jesus Christ,
let me confess your name with my last breath.
In your great mercy receive me
and do not disappoint me in my hope.
Open the gates of life for me,
and let the prince of darkness have no power over me.
Protect me by your kindness,
shield me with your might,
and lead me by your right hand
to the place of refreshment, the tabernacle you have prepared
for Your servants and for those who revere you. Amen.
PRAYER TO CHRIST FOR MERCY
O my Lord and Saviour,
be merciful to me
now that my life is approaching its end,
and the evening awaits me.
My sins are so many.
Heal me while I am still on earth,
and I shall truly be healthy.
In your mercy, move me to repent
so that I shall not be ashamed
when I encounter you in heaven. Amen.
PRAYER TO CHRIST IN HONOUR OF THE HOLY FAMILY
O Lord Jesus,
grant that we may always follow
the example of your holy family,
that in the hour of our death
your glorious Virgin Mother together with blessed Joseph
may come to meet us
and we may be worthily received by you
into our everlasting dwelling in heaven.
PRAYER OF ST. VINCENT FERRER
Lord Jesus Christ,
You do not will that anyone should perish
and never is a prayer made to you without hope of mercy.
You have promised:
"All things that you ask in my name, shall be done for you".
Therefore, I ask you, O Lord,
for your holy Name's sake,
to grant me at the hour of my death
full consciousness and the power of speech,
sincere contrition for my sins,
true faith, firm hope and perfect charity,
that I may be able to say to you with a clean heart:
Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit:
you have redeemed me, O God of truth,
who are blessed for ever and ever. Amen.
PRAYER TO THE CRUCIFIED CHRIST
O Jesus,
while I remember your dying breath,
I beg you to receive mine.
Since I do not know
whether I shall have command of my senses
when I depart from this world,
I offer you now my last sufferings and all the sorrows of my passing.
I give my soul into your hands
for you are the Lover of Humanity
my Lord and my Savior.
Grant that the last beat of my heart
may be an act of perfect love for you. Amen.
PASSION PRAYER TO THE LORD JESUS
O most merciful Lord Jesus,
by the agony you endured,
by the sweat of your Blood,
by your precious death,
deliver us, we beseech you,
from a sudden and unprovided death.
O most kind Lord Jesus,
by your ignominious scourging
by your crowning with thorns,
by your holy Cross and bitter Passion,
by your love and mercy,
we humbly pray
that you would not let us die unprovided with your holy Sacraments.
O dearly beloved Lord Jesus,
by all your labors and sorrows,
by the Precious Blood shed in your passion
by the sacred Wounds you endured,
by those your last words on the Cross: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
by your surrender: "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit,"
we beseech you to deliver us from a sudden death.
O Lord Jesus, we pray
grant us room for repentance;
grant us a happy passing in your grace,
grant us a peaceful end,
that so we may be able to love you, praise you and bless you forever. Amen.
Recite the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be to the Father.
PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you.
O refuge of sinners, Mother of the dying,
do not abandon the hour of our death;
obtain for us the grace
of perfect sorrow, sincere contrition,
the pardon and remission of our sins,
a worthy receiving of the holy Viaticum,
and the comfort of the Sacrament of Anointing,
in order that we may appear with greater security
before the throne of the just but merciful Judge,
our God and our Redeemer. Amen.
Another prayer
Most Holy Virgin Mary,
always present before the Most Holy Trinity
to whom it is granted at all times
to pray for us to your Most Blessed Son,
pray for me in all my needs.
Help me, defend me, give thanks for me,
and obtain for me the pardon of all my sins and failings.
Help me especially in my last hours.
Then, when I can no longer give any sign of the use of reason,
give me courage and protect me against all evil spirits.
Make in my name a profession of Faith.
Assure me of my eternal salvation.
Never let me despair of the mercy of God.
When I can no longer say: "Jesus I place my soul in your hands,"
say it for me.
When I can no longer hear human words of consolation,
bring me comfort.
Stay with me
when I stand in judgment before your Son.
and should I be purified in purgatory,
pray for me after my death
that I may quickly gain the happiness
of being in the Presence of God.
Lead my soul to heaven where united with you and all the elect,
I may bless and praise our God for all eternity. Amen.
PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH
O blessed Joseph,
who breathed your last in the arms of Jesus and Mary,
obtain for me this grace:
that I may breathe forth my soul in praise,
saying in spirit, if I am unable to do so in words:
"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I give Thee my heart and my soul."
Amen.
Another prayer:
O holy St. Joseph,
who died in the arms of the Son of God
and in the presence of his holy Mother,
I beseech you at my last hour
to stand by me, with your immaculate Spouse,
that assisted by both your prayers,
I may repent of my sins,
and breathe my last breath
in an act of perfect love and confidence in my Saviour,
repeating his blessed Name, exalted above every name,
and proclaiming joyfully
“Lord, into your hands, I commend my spirit.” Amen.
AN ACT OF FAITH IN ANTICIPATION OF THE HOUR OF DEATH
From the works of St. Pompilio M. Pirrotti
On my journey toward eternity, dear Lord,
I am surrounded by powerful enemies of my soul.
I live in fear and trembling,
especially at the thought of the hour of death,
on which my eternity will depend,
and of the fearful struggle that the devil will then have to wage against me,
knowing that little time is left for him to accomplish my eternal ruin.
I desire, therefore, O Lord,
to prepare myself for it from this hour,
by offering you now, in view of my last hour,
my profession of faith and love for you,
which is so effectual in repressing and rendering useless
all the crafty and wicked schemes of the enemy
and which I resolve to oppose to him at that moment of such grave consequence,
even though he should dare alone to attack with his deceits
the peace and tranquility of my spirit.
I N.N.,
in the presence of the Most Holy Trinity,
the blessed Virgin Mary,
my holy Guardian Angel
and the entire heavenly host,
affirm that I wish to live and die under the standard of the Holy Cross.
I firmly believe all that our Holy Mother,
the holy, catholic and apostolic Church,
believes and teaches.
It is my steadfast intention to die in this holy faith,
in which all the holy martyrs, confessors and virgins of Christ have died,
as well as all those who have saved their souls.
If the devil should tempt me to despair
because of the multitude and grievousness of my sins,
I affirm that from this day forth
I firmly hope in the infinite mercy of God,
which will not let itself be overcome by my sins,
and in the Precious Blood of Jesus
which has washed all my sins away.
If the devil should assail me with temptations to presumption
by reason of the small amount of good
which by the help of God
I may have been able to accomplish,
I confess from this day forth
that I deserve eternal separation from God
a thousand times by my sins
and I entrust myself entirely
to the infinite goodness of God,
through whose grace alone I am what I am.
Finally, if the evil spirit should suggest to me
that the pains inflicted upon me by our Lord
in that last hour of my life
are too heavy to bear,
I affirm now that all will be as nothing
in comparison with the punishments I have deserved throughout life.
In the bitterness of my soul
I call to remembrance all my years;
I see my iniquities, I confess them and detest them.
Ashamed and sorrowful I turn to you,
my God, my Creator and my Redeemer.
Forgive me, O Lord, by the multitude of your mercies;
forgive your servant whom you have redeemed by your Precious Blood.
My God, I turn to you, I call upon you, I trust in you;
to your infinite goodness
I commit the entire reckoning of my life.
I have sinned greatly, O Lord:
enter not into judgment with your servant,
who surrenders to you
and confesses his guilt.
Of myself I cannot make satisfaction to you for my countless sins:
I do not have the means to pay you for my infinite debt.
But your Son has shed his Blood for me,
and greater than all mine sins is your mercy.
O Jesus, be my Saviour!
At the hour of my fearful crossing to eternity
put to flight the enemy of my soul;
grant me grace to overcome every difficulty,
for you alone do mighty wonders.
Lord,
according to the multitude of your tender mercies
I shall enter into your dwelling place.
Trusting in your pity,
I commend my spirit into your hands!
May the Blessed Virgin Mary
and my Guardian Angel
accompany my soul into the heavenly country. Amen.

Prayers - Via Gaudii (Way of Joy) - 4th Station
Via Gaudii or Way of Joy (Christmas) Via Crucis or Way of Sorrow or Stations of the Cross (Lent) Via Lucis or Way of Light (Easter)
The Via Gaudii is a prayerful reflection on the events of the incarnation and early life of our Lord Jesus Christ, based on the first chapters of the Gospels according to Saint Matthew and Saint Luke. The fourteen stations cover the events from the Betrothal of Joseph and Mary to the return of the Holy Family to Nazareth. A Chaplet was later developed that would guide the faithful in praying the Via Gaudii.
OPENING PRAYER
THE FOURTH STATION: THE MAGNIFICAT
V: We adore You, O Christ and we bless You! R: Because by Your Holy Birth, You have lived with us!
READING (Luke 1: 46 – 56) And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him. He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart. He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly. The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy, according to his promise to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.” Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home.
REFLECTION Since she has great joy, Mary powerfully praises God and acknowledges him for the grace she had received. She recognizes the greatness and the power of God; ordinary and simple as she is, God has chosen her to become the mother of Jesus. Her song describes how she has become strong and courageous, as she accepts and participated in the plan of God. She declares as God has chosen her, she will believe, hope, and entrust everything to God and to His plan.
PRAYER O God, our powerful Father, you raise Mary to be the mother of Jesus with all her weakness and simplicity. By this, Mary courageously proclaims your greatness and power. We pray that by your grace, we may have the courage to accept your will for us like what Mary did. Amen.
Our Father … Hail Mary … Glory Be …

Saturday 17th December 2022 of the 3rd Week of Advent. From 17th December, we are one week to the Eve of Christmas Day. The Church starts singing the O - Antiphons.
Pay attention to the readings at Mass.
Do you consider the Genealogy of Jesus Christ boring? Not when you understand the purpose for its inclusion in Sacred Scriptures. The Holy Spirit, the Author of the Sacred Text does not waste words as human authors do. Here are a few reasons for the Genealogy or Family History of Jesus Christ:
#1 Jesus Christ is truly God and truly Man. He descended from the lines of Abraham and David.
#2 His human family is not perfect (like His Church is not perfect). It contains saints and sinners. Jesus was not ashamed of His family nor was He ever tempted to deny them.
#3 His family lineage was planned by God from the foundation of the ages. So do not be scandalized by what you see.
#4 By the time Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, gone were the days of the great patriarchs like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and great kings like David and Solomon. What we have are common folks like Joseph and Mary. God has a plan that will lead us to the humble stable in Bethlehem where Jesus will be born, the King of the Jews. He will be born the poor son of the Virgin of Nazareth.
The Genealogy teaches us that God is merciful and faithful. God did not choose the best and filtered humanity. He chose whom He pleases, a mixed bag.
"God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure." (Ephesians I: 5 NLT)
God had decreed that the Redeemer will come out of real humanity.
“The deliverer will come out of Zion, he will turn away godlessness from Jacob;
and this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” (Romans 11: 26 - 27).
"In respect to election, they are beloved because of the patriarchs. For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable." (Romans 11: 28 - 29).
Again: "The gift and the call of God are irrevocable." Amen!
The Church teaches that it will arrive at its perfection in the Escathon, the End of the age. As we make our pilgrimage towards our home, the Church labors to grow in the fullness of truth and charity. Each life committed to Christ hastens the Second Coming.
"O Wisdom of our God Most High,
guiding creation with power and love: come to teach us the path of knowledge!"
Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus!
"Such a man was Saint Joseph. He was the living image of My Father, and he was chosen by My Father to be a father to Me in My sacred humanity. Let My priests go to Saint Joseph. He will obtain for them this priceless gift of spiritual fatherhood, and he will guide them in the delicate and difficult work of being true fathers to souls." (IN SINU JESU, Friday, November 15, 2013).

Text
St. Joseph, reigning in Heaven with Jesus and Mary, intercede for the souls in Purgatory. Hear our prayers for family, friends, parishioners and clergy who have served you and lived out their faith in our parish family. Please turn your gaze to the soul who is most forgotten in purgatory. From the Mist of Mercy let this holy soul journey into Heaven to see the face of God. To be reunited with family and friends and to praise the Holy Trinity in the company of all the Saints. St. Joseph, when it is my time to give my soul to God, I beg for your blessing and pray to you to be prompt in delivering me from purgatory so that I can see you, Jesus and Mary face to face. Amen.
