i know it’s already been talked about so much but man. the fact aemma could only have a daughter and was brutally killed trying to give her husband a son, and rhaenyra only having sons and losing her daughter in such a horrible way. even knowing her brother and former friend usurped her throne, even knowing that her father was dead, she cradled her daughter’s body so close and so gently and looked at her with so much love. aemma saying she had mourned all the dead children she could, and rhaenyra feeling an unprecedented amount of loss and agony when she loses not one, but two children. she will continue to lose them, and there is nothing she can do. there’s just such a tragedy to that, i think. the tragedies of mothers and daughters, am i right?
