Pretty Eponines
I made a list just like this before, but it was for Christine Daae and Raoul from The Phantom of the Opera. Now, I’m making a list for some actresses who portrayed Eponine who I think is very pretty. Yes, every actress is pretty but these are the ones who really stood out.  This is my personal choice, so no bashing about it.

TODAY IN THEATRE HISTORY: In 2005, Joe Brooks' musical In My Life opens on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre. In the show, an androgynous angel-like character flies through heaven and plots "God's reality opera," which stars a singer-songwriter who has Tourette Syndrome. It also includes a band of pirates, dancing skeletons, and heavenly denizens singing jingles about Dr. Pepper and Volkswagen. Jessica Boevers, Christopher J. Hanke and David Turner star. Baffling critics and audiences alike, In My Life closes after 61 performances. The show's swing Jonathan Groff, who made his Broadway debut in the production, will return to Broadway a year later as one of the stars of Spring Awakening.

Blonde Éponines.
*Jessica-Snow Wilson (Broadway, 1995 & 1999; 3rd National Tour, 1998 & 2003)
*Megan Lawrence (Broadway, 1998)
*Jessica Boevers Bogart (Broadway, 2000)
*Catherine Brunell (Broadway, 2001)
*Nancy Sullivan (London, 2008)
*Carrie Hope Fletcher (London, 2013)
I’d like to see more of these. Maybe not as urgently as more WOC Cosettes, but I’d still like to see more. There are people out there who say that Éponine absolutely must not be blonde – that street urchin characters must have dark hair. But of course that’s silly. Let’s break all stereotypes!

TODAY IN THEATRE HISTORY: In 2002, the much-lauded 1998 Trevor Nunn-Susan Stroman National Theatre production of Oklahoma! opens on Broadway, after overcoming years of union and other issues. It stars Patrick Wilson as Curly, Josefina Gabrielle as Laurey, Andrea Martin as Aunt Eller, and Shuler Hensley as Jud. Despite a $12 million advance, the show gets mixed reviews, loses the Best Revival Tony Award to Into the Woods, and goes on to a run of 11 months.
