Sure thing! I got Rise by Skillet. I’m not super knowledgeable on OW lore or anything so I hope a general idea is okay, obviously if you know more than me you can check out the lyrics and see for yourself if anything sticks out to you!

So behind all the like battle/revolution references this song is really just about rising up against your fears and hardships in life and moving past them and kind of taking your life into your own hands. You might have been able to help each other through your hardships and were able to face your fears with each other’s support, sticking together over time and braving whatever got thrown at you. This song has a pretty strong theme of unity and moving past roadblocks and trauma so it gives me the feeling that you guys were close and had a supportive relationship like that! If you didn’t have that kind of relationship, an alternative interpretation would be you having to move past your difficulties with him in order to keep progressing towards your goal.

Like I said I don’t know very much about Overwatch lore but I really hope that this is helpful to you in some way!!

hey. im gabe. i miss my jack and my jesse the most so im lookin for them.

my tl was pretty off from canon. jack convinced me to join sep with him. he thought a having a distinct purpose would help my severe chronic depression, and holy shit was he right. we got married when SEP was disbanded, and then he became strike commander (god he looked good in blue), and then i was just kinda. hanging around base without much to do, and i fell back into my depression. meds helped some but they could only do so much ya know? jack had the idea of me leading a black ops division. i told him it was a horrible idea, overwatch was already on thin ice, and if the public found out about a black ops division theyd be outraged. he did it anyway, because the gay fucker didnt wana see me wallow around anymore. as expected there was outrage, and shit happened with moira and i became medically dependent on her but w/e back to jack. i miss you babe.

and jesse. you little shit. i miss you. i only kinda remember finding you on route 66, but i know you were a damn good kid when you had a purpose. you were the one that shot antonio, and i smacked you and started yelling in spanish. probably could have handled that better, sorry. as dumb as they were i miss the shit you and genji used to pull.

and both of yall. i hated talon. i didnt fit there. but i know i found both of you again, years and years after the fall. me n jack had this farm thing we lived on, i think we gave sombra and amelie a house too, i dont think jesse stayed with us but he visited often. i dont know how but i was able to stop being medically dependent on o'deorain, which was fuckin great. anyway. i miss you two. dm me if this sounds familiar. please.
