Actually, now that I have thought it over, I think it would be better to add live action TV adaptations to possible candidates for the 40, but for characters from Live Action TV Shows.
I would include...
Jon Snow from Game of Thrones
Shawn Spencer from Psych
Michael Scott or Jim Halpert from The Office
Leslie Knope or Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec
Edmund Blackadder or Baldrick from Blackadder
Neil from The Young Ones
and Gilligan from Gilligan's Island
What live action TV Shows would you pick?
There were so many shows that it was so hard to pick! But I did my best:
The Addams Family (1964): Gomez or Mortica
BBC Sherlock: John Watson (I know there are some who don’t like this version, but I like the idea of John becoming even more badass and getting a leg up on Sherlock).
Good Omens: Aziraphale or Crowley
Merlin: Merlin of Arthur (I’m just imagining Arthur being surrounded by modern technology and calling it “sorcery!”)
House MD: House
Gilligan's Island: Gilligan
M*A*S*H: Hawkeye or Klinger (Look, the man KILLED IT in those dresses and was committed!)
Star Trek: The Original Series: Kirk or Spock
The Nanny: Fran or Niles
The Golden Girls: Rose or Dorothy or Sophia or Blanche (Listen, for so long I have wanted to see Niles from The Nanny and Sophia go toe to toe in an insult competition, so this is the closest I can get!)
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Will Smith
Knight Rider (1982): Michael Knight or KITT (Can you imagine three of the people waking up in a room only to find a talking car with them as well?)
Dexter: Dexter
Fringe: Olivia or Walter or Peter
Stranger Things: Steve Harrington (The babysitter needs to be prepare) or El
Doctor Who: Tenth Doctor
Supernatural: Sam or Dean or Castiel
The Good Doctor: Shaun Murphy
Breaking Bad: Walter White or Jesse Pinkman
The Handmaid's Tale: June Osborne
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy
Roswell (1999): Liz Parker or Max Evans
Fleabag: Fleabag
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel: Miriam Maisel
Orange Is The New Black: Piper Chapman
Psych: Shawn Spencer
The Office: Michael Scott or Jim Halpert
Parks and Rec: Leslie Knope or Ron Swanson
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Jake Peralta or Ray Holt
MacGyver (1985): Angus MacGyver
NCIS: Leroy Gibbs
Criminal Minds: Spencer Reid
The X-Files: Dana Scully or Fox Mulder
Full House: Jesse Katsopolis or Danny Tanner or Joey Gladstone
Corner Gas: Brent
Downton Abbey: Charles Carson
Monk: Adrien Monk
The Queen's Gambit: Beth Harmon
Columbo: Columbo
Murder, She Wrote: Jessica Beatrice Fletcher

Dating Jesse Kastopolis & Being Danny Tanners sister includes🎸:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First of all you've know Pamela ever since you were little
Even though she was older than you, you were still very close with her seeing as when you were younger she was your babysitter and tutor for a long time.
Even becoming older you both became closer and started more of a sister relationship
With that being said you were a big part to how Danny and Pamela met
She was like an older sister to you, so when Danny and her finally started to date everyone was so happy
With being very close to Danny eventually down the line when Danny and Pammy asked you to be the girls godmothers you were overjoyed
Even though you were close with Pammy you've never really met her brother Jesse, always just hearing from their mother how he was wild and free
The first time you actully met Jesse was a few week before Pamela and Danny got married
Pammys mom invited your whole family over before the "wedding day" plans to just have the whole family be together before the wedding
You wished you could of stayed longer but because of work you had to leave
While leaving their house you saw a motorcycle driving up the driveway, a once the helmet was off you knew you were in love
What's even better was when you got to walk down the aisle with him at there wedding, but sooner than later you found out he was a complete jerk.
After Pamela and Danny's Wedding they moved into the house together which is when they soon had DJ.
Because of Pamela and Danny's job they were always out late so you would look after DJ when you were free.
Then soon after Stephanie was born you moved in and become the soon babysitter to your nieces.
It was so nice living in a house with your brother, best friend, and nieces (and the occasional vists from Jesse).
Everything was going great until Michelle was born and soonly after Pammy died which left you and Danny to watch the girls alone.
It was so hard watching the girls lose there mother but soon after Jesse and Joey came to help out.
It was supposed to be a "temporary stay", but who would of known that was a lie.
The girls loved finally seeing their uncle Jesse and crazy uncle Joey, but what you loved was the fact that we could see Jesse everyday.
I have to admit that Jesse did come off as jerkish for a VERY long time but after awhile living in the house with the girls he fluffed out.
With that being said, you and Jesse became very close seeing as you lived in the same house together and it was very hard trying to keep your feelings a secret
Danny took a while seeing as he always saw Jesse as a bad boy, but once he saw that Jesse treated you good he was fine with it
But that being said the girls were so happy when you and Jesse started dating
Originally Stefanie and DJ were the ones trying to get the two of you together
There were always begging the both of you play games with all of them and then leave the room leaving you and Jesse to talk
But who would of known that the awkward silences was the start to something beautiful
From there it was always hard to go on dates seeing as when we got back home we were still together
So you two kept the dates to a minimum but trust me some friday night dates were needed after a crazy day in the house
With living in the house together and sleeping on the same floor as Danny, and the girls at first Danny had a strict no sneaking into rooms rules just in case the girls were to find out, but that rule was so only broken
It was the best lying in bed with Jesse because he was always so warm and his animal print blanket was always so fuzzy
Jesse always loved singing and writing songs about you and loves showing you off to eveyone saying your his
Your favorite dates between each other were the one where the two or you would go on a picnic date to the park across the street from the house, it was always so peaceful and close enough to the house in case of anything
Eventually down enough along the line you and Jesse got married (and dont worry he didnt get arrested)
It was a beautiful wedding at a church with all of your family and freinds with the girls being your bridesmaids and flowers girls
And at the end of the night when it was just you and Jesse you both swayed into each other arms (againts your defense) listening to Elivis Presely while Jesse sang "I cant help falling in love with you"

“Nope, not happening. You can’t make me.” You adamantly spoke.
Jesse laughed, “Come on, just one ride? Please?”
“You are so lucky I love you.”
“Don’t I know it sugar.”

Princess - Jesse Katsopolis
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jesse Katsopolis x Reader
Characters: Jesse Katsopolis
Warnings: N/A
Request: @iloveyouthreethousandtony: ““I can’t stop it…I’m sorry.” “It’s okay, just breathe. You don’t have to be sorry for anything.” Can you write me a fic with Jesse Katsopolis from full house?”
Word Count: 576
Author: Hannah
You’d always heard about morning sickness when women were pregnant, and how awful it could be.
You knew that you’d been somewhat naïve when you’d gotten pregnant as you thought morning sickness wouldn’t affect you – there was no reason as to why it wouldn’t affect you, but somehow you’d convinced yourself that you would be able to skip that stage of pregnancy.
Even though you knew you didn’t need to, you felt guilty for keeping Jesse up all the time because he got up whenever you were being ill.
Living with three kids and three adults, that could all act like children at the best of times, did make for a sometimes-stressful life.
After a relatively stressful day, of being stuck at work and everyone conveniently forgetting how unwell you had been recently, everything had just gotten a bit too much.
You’d gotten back home and finally had time to relax, but after eating dinner with the girls and then going upstairs to lie down your stomach decided that it would be a good time to empty the contents of your dinner into the toilet.
Whilst you were hugging the toilet in front of you, Jesse appeared behind you and gently tied your hair back with a hairband that he’d taken to having around his wrist for such occasions.
“Hey there princess,” he whispered to you as he rubbed your back.
You went to talk to your boyfriend but as you did, your stomach turned again, and you found yourself with your head in the toilet.
Jesse continued to rub your back gently as he pressed kisses to your hair.
“I can’t stop it…I’m sorry,” you managed to get out in between your moments of being sick.
He shushed you gently, pressing another kiss to your hair. “It’s okay princess, just breathe okay?”
You nodded at his words and sat back against the bath. “I’m sorry Jess, I really am. You need your sleep.”
“You don’t have to be sorry for anything,” he reassured you as he stretched out opposite you. “And as for the sleep thing, think of it as preparation for when this little one comes and is crying at all hours of the day.”
Giggling at him, you reached for his hand. “How are you dealing with this better than I am?”
Jesse chuckled at your words whilst rubbing the pad of his thumb over the back of your hand. “Because princess, I am not the one growing a tiny human nor am I the one with my head in the toilet every damn day.”
“I don’t deserve you Jess.”
He jokingly glared at you. “You’re the mother of my baby princess, and the love of my life.”
A blush rose to your cheeks as you watched Jesse stand up.
He offered you his hand to help you up. “You go and get your cute butt into bed and I’ll go get you some water.”
Listening to Jesse, you made your way back to bed and waited for him to come back up.
When he did, he gave you a glass of water and then climbed right back in next to you.
Once you’d took a sip, you lied down, and no more dinner decided to come back up, so you allowed Jesse to cuddle up.
He sighed contently. “I love you princess,” he whispered into your hair before he placed a hand on your abdomen. “And I love you too little one.”

how these 90s sitcom characters would be if y'all dated:
Tumblr media
Eric Matthews:
- he's such a softie, so expect him to spoon you all the time, like literally...
- he hates it when you tease him but sometimes thinks you're teasing him when you're not, so you'll be in the middle of fixing dinner and he's like, "i know what you're doing."
- he loves giving you forehead kisses and is very protective of you. probably has a nickname for you
Tumblr media
Uncle Jesse:
- he's an absolute freak in the sheets, just saying
- he enjoys serenading you with songs, maybe you sing along or dance for him to make him crack while singing
- lots of kissing, shoulder rubs, and waist snatching. he's very much in love with you.
Tumblr media
Will Truman:
- such a sweetheart but sometimes is a control freak, so if he wants something, he wants it then and now
- y'all are probably already engaged
- he enjoys cooking for you and you love it when he cooks

Thoughts on Season 3 of Fuller House:
Yeah, I know it’s a horrible/corny show (and I didn’t even watch the original growing up leoooool), but Fuller House is also a very sweet, fun, family-oriented, and heart-warming show – which can make it enjoyable, imo. Anyways, I’ve just finished Part 1 of Season 3, and I just can’t NOT talk about it y’all:
Season 3 of Fuller House is not the best, imo (yes, I’ve watched all three seasons of this show lol). It has some great and funny moments, but it’s not Fuller House at its best. Yes, Season 1 was a bit cringe-y/slow, but I blame that on everyone still getting into the groove, so it’s understandable (and yes, I do think S1 had better writing/dialogue than S3). Season 2 is the best of Fuller House so far imo; it had the same level of writing as Season 1, but also the best jokes/most laughs from me so far. Season 3 of Fuller House just seems... Iunno... off???? Like, maybe it’s because the episodes were shorter so Season 3 just seemed wayyyyyy more choppy and quickly cut/edited (ESPECIALLY THAT FIRST EPISODE LIKE OH MY WORDDDDDD), or maybe it was Jodie Sweetin’s accident that called for a slight lack of energy/inactivity??? But overall for me, S3 just seemed a lot more rushed and a lot less witty, in terms of writing and dialogue (if you can believe this show was ever sharp – which I argue it was and/or had its great moments :p). There were just too many times during this season where there was no good punchline for a joke’s set-up or the audience laughed their heads off and I didn’t (I’m actually okay with a laugh track as long as the audience isn’t laughing at every dumb joke like I refuse to do). There did seem to be some great servings of nostalgia though, with parallels between the older and newer episodes (I didn’t catch much, though). Overall, I give the first half of this season a B+. It wasn’t at its best shape, but Season 3 of Fuller House still did a great job of mostly developing the characters and giving everyone screen-time.
By the opening scene of Episode 1 of Season 3 of Fuller House I was like “wtLOL PLEASE TELL ME FULLER HOUSE HASN’T BECOME A MUSICAL PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”, but whenever the adults were doing a number for karaoke night, I was kind of down for it looool *hides face in shame*
MY WORD bless their stylists/make-up artists because at 30+ years old, a lot of the original/older cast still looks GREAT!! Like, is John Stamos getting younger?!? haha Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin both look AMAZING for their age!! I just want to be able to rock some Adidas, a tight-fit dress, or any of Kimmy’s outrageous outfits by the time I hit their age!! Also, the children are growing up too look pretty fine, too!!
Max is still annoying to me, though arguably less so this season; his parts have always been the ones I drudge through the most. He’s just... not pulling off the “pretentious” or “know-it-all” attitude just right. Also pretty sure I hate his “gf” Rose more then him leol. I also can’t really stand the Max and Cosmo scenes, though I kind of just go with it now.
The original trio’s wives lol... Danny suddenly revealing that he’s gotten a divorce from Terry (the “one time you brought her here” joke was hilarious though lol) and was unexpected for his character, and we never really get to see Joey’s wife... On the one hand, I get it: what purpose would either of these women serve for the show now, and I’m sure the writers had no idea what to do with Danny’s and Joey’s love lives when they were planning on starting Fuller House again. On the other, the OCD-shipper in me really wants a continuous and logical storyline for these two post-Full House lol.
I can’t tell what is a shipping scene and what is specifically character/episode/storyline development anymore??? (although I suppose the two aren’t mutually exclusive.) Which, I think, is a good thing. At some point during this season I realized that Fuller House is really starting to become a show that is just about the happenings of an everyday family – just like the original. All of the characters are getting their own storylines and development – and in a pretty evenly distributed manner, too imo. Which is amazing if you think about it because Fuller House has like 20+ characters to account for at this point. It’s just a show you can watch and laugh with your family now – and the storylines are interesting and enjoyable for both older and younger generations imo – which is pretty stankin’ cool, if you ask me.
I can’t believe they brought Grandpa Katsopolis back!!!! Like W O W. This show knows how to indulge their fans, snap.
I feel for Jackson breaking up with Lola, but honestly, I wasn’t feeling that ship. There just didn’t seem to be any strong chemistry there. I am kind of digging the “nice guy” Jackson and “bad girl” Rocki ship though haha..... (idk, I’d just really like to see that dynamic play out), but I kind of don’t like how they’re making Gia come off as a “bad” mom (even though I barely watched her character/parts in the original show). I think I would have liked it more if they played her more as the “competitive and super-cool mom” type.
Also good to see that Jackson is finally getting a bit more development as a character, instead of just being the “dumb/loser kid/student.” Is he going to become the Reese (of Malcom in the Middle) for Fuller House through his superb coffee-making talents?? :p
I’ve loved Fernando since Season 1 (even though I think everyone else really didn’t), and I’m glad that he’s stayed on since. Honestly, I needed, was watching out for, and was kind of disappointed that I didn’t get more Fernando x Kimmy moments!! >:c
STEPHANIE AND JIMMY ARE THE CUTEST COUPLE EVERRRRRR!!!! LIKE EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! LIKE OH MY WORD JIMMY IS AN ABSOLUTE DUMB-DUMB AND THOSE TYPES OF CHARACTERS USUALLY DRIVE ME OFF A CLIFF BUT OH MY WORD HE IS SO SWEET AND CARING AND BLESS THE WRITERS OF THIS SHOW FOR ADDING HIM LAST SEASON AND KEEPING HIM FOR THIS ONE BECAUSE HE IS TOO SWEEEEEEEEET ♡♡♡ HAHA MARRY HIM ALREADY STEPHANIE MARRY HIM!!!! XDXD
Kind of disappointed in the Gibbler House?? Like, it looked a bit too fake and the inside wasn’t as weird/whimsical/preposterous as I imagined it to be/expected. I also don’t like the idea of Fernando not living at the Fullers’ with Kimmy and Ramona (somebody has to be the next Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky!! haha), although I do think that Jimmy needed to live somewhere (and I do like the idea of Fernando buying it for Kimmy~).
Speaking of which, are Fernando x Kimmy or Stephanie x Jimmy the next Uncle Jesse x Aunt Becky??? xDD Idk I used to really love Fernando and Kimmy but Jimmy’s been really workin’ his way up there by being such a sweetie and AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO CHOOSE ANYMORE!!!! XD
I don’t blame Ramona for breaking up with Popko, but MY WORD they made such a cute couple!! I honestly hope he changes for her in the future... *fingers crossed, mind slightly doubtful*
Also, I don’t necessarily ship Ramona and Jackson (though I am definitely absolutely not against it), but when Ramona was like “why can’t I just find a nice and caring boyfriend?!?” after her break-up with Popko, and I was kind of like, “.....You mean Jackson????” XD Idk, I think the Ramona x Jackson shippers have gotten a bit too far in my head.
I’m #TeamSteve 100% – I think they should have been end-game in the original, in the first place – but I cannot deny that there is currently more chemistry between Matt and DJ than there is between Steve and DJ. Chalk it up to old age and a younger, better-looking Matt beating out an older and less attractive Steve (although to be fair, Scott Weinger’s been out of the acting game for a while), but I have to admit that I enjoy watching DJ interact with John’s character more than I do Scott’s at times. (People say Steve was a bit creepy during Season 1 and maybe 2 and I do agree that he came off a bit strong in the beginning, but I partly blame that on Scott’s return to acting; also I think that most of Steve’s desperate scenes at the beginning were pretty funny – come on, this is a comedy, y’all). Honestly, I’m just hoping that whenever anybody sees the slight lack of chemistry between Steve and DJ that they remember the wealth of chemistry that did happen between the two in the original and remember that #TeamSteve will always be the one to live on in our heart of hearts lol.
The wedding dress scene between DJ and CJ was so heart-wrenching... and savage lol. On the one hand, I do ship Steve and DJ 110+%, and yes, they do look like a “pretty” couple haha. On the other, if any girl had worn my wedding dress, I too, would have “killed her” LOL xD
Idk how Jesse and Becky’s baby almost outgrew DJ’s baby (though I get why they did it), but she. is. so. stankin’. cute!! Also I’m getting Michelle Tanner vibes from her :3
I actually kind of liked Joey in the original (minus the puppet), and I can see and like the idea of him running a brood of 4+ children, but his kids are. SO. A N N O Y I N G!!! Their "mischievous” antics come off as corny, cheesy, and annoying rather than adorable, making the kids seem like horrible, immature jerks rather than possibly lovable ones... although I suppose that’s how everyone felt about Joey in the original anyway lol.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but Stephanie’s whole “I can have a baby now!!” storyline is moving wayyyyyyy too fast, imo. (She and Becky getting excited over her finally “getting to become a mom!!” was so sweet and awesome though; I love how she doesn’t see being mom as an “obstacle” to her identity as a woman :’3) I’m okay with Stephanie seeing a fertility specialist, but honestly, I think it was brought up too soon. I would have rather had her see a fertility specialist sometime in Season 4 and let there be more development between her and Jimmy first during this season. As soon as she was told there is a possibility that she could be a mother, things escalated too quickly (although I suppose with invitro, things kind of have to). On the other hand, I don’t understand why Steph would want to have a baby now anyway when she clearly can’t afford raising one at this point: aren’t they always joking about how broke and how much of a freeloader she is right now?? (Oh well, chalk it up to the disillusion of this all being a fake TV show, I suppose.) On the other, other hand – and probably my most unpopular opinion – is that I don’t think Stephanie should raise a kid by herself. I’m sorry, but I really do believe that kids need two parents at the helm to give them a balanced, well-rounded life. The single-mom life is hard and raising kids all by yourself is no joke (I speak with some experience). I just think she really needed to get her life together and/or find a stable bf/husband before she thought about raising a child (being a mom is great, yes, but whatever happened to her developing singing career???)
Overall, I needed more jealousy storylines and PDA between the adult couples lol. Only DJ and Matt seemed to have any sweet moments, while everyone else’s love life was kind of put on the back-burner. I would have loved to have seen Kimmy get a bit jealous over Fernando and the real estate agent and/or Gia (maybe they’re developing this one, idk) or Jimmy getting jealous of Stephanie’s possible “baby daddies” lol. Idc if it’s cheesy or lame; I just really needed that in my life. Again, I think everything was paced a bit too fast at the beginning of Season 3, but we’ll see how the second part ties things up.
The ending OH MY WORD THE ENDING!!!! I cannot believe they left us on a cliffhanger where Matt is about to propose to DJ but DJ has just unknowingly confessed to Steve while they are both about to attend Steve’s upcoming wedding in Japan!! Talk about the drama waiting to happen for the second half of Season 3; I CANNOT WAIT FOR PART 2!!!
Welp those are my thoughts on this season so far. Will probably write a follow-up post with my thoughts on the second half of Season 3 when it airs!! Feel free to reblog and discuss any of these points with me!! I really need to talk to some more people about this show lol!!

Full House: 10 Things That Haven't Aged Well | ScreenRant
Airing from 1987 to 1995, Full House remains one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, even over 30 years after it premiered. Chronicling the lives of the extended Tanner-Katsopolis-Gladstone family, and the crazy adventures they all get up to while living under one very, very crowded roof, the series is still beloved for its wholesome messaging and cheesy cutesy humor.
RELATED: 10 Quotes From Full House That Are Still Hilarious Today
With the likes of John Stamos, Bob Saget, and the Olsen twins bolstering its cast, the series went on to be a hit in its original run, but has ostensibly become even a bigger hit in the years of reruns and streaming. But as a result of being over 30 years old now, the series is full of storylines that never would have made it to air today. We look at 10 of them.
10 DJ inadvertently getting married at 13
Tumblr media
Jesse's Greek background is one of the characteristics the show refers to most frequently for his character's arc. But when it comes to representing Greek culture as a whole, the few times the show does so are steeped in pretty stereotypical, outdated traits.
Take, for example, the season four episode "Greek Week." DJ quickly develops a mutual crush on visiting Greek boy, Sylvio, who asks DJ, all of 13 years old at the time, to go for a walk around the kitchen table with him. In this simplified, stereotypical scenario, DJ and Sylvio wind up married... as if that's how Greek marriages actually happen, and as if that's a healthy storyline to depict for a 13-year-old.
9 Dated gender dynamics
Tumblr media
Being a product of the 1980s and 1990s sitcom world, it's unsurprising that Full House doesn't exactly have the best handle on complex gender relationships. But that doesn't make it any less disappointing. Various times throughout the series, the fact that the men in relationships have to be the ones "in charge" through macho stereotypes is frequently discussed.
Additionally, there are two episodes in the series,"Just One of the Guys" and "Girls Will Be Boys," that find both DJ and Michelle trying to act more like boys to be able to fit in. It's disheartening, even if the ultimate messages mean well.
8 Underage drinking storylines
Tumblr media
It's no secret that teens face unbelievable amounts of pressure to grow up faster than they're supposed to. It's also no secret that Full House came about in the age of "Very Special Episodes," so it's a given that the series would tackle issues of peer pressure.
RELATED: Full House: 10 Uncle Jesse Quotes That Show Why He Was A Heartthrob
But the way the series does so is incredibly uncomfortable, after all these years. A late in the series episode finds Kimmy getting completely blackout drunk at a party and voicing her desire to drive herself home. And an early episode in the series' run finds DJ, just in middle school at the time, accosted by boys at a party who want her to drink.
7 Walter, also known as Duckface
Tumblr media
Going along with the message of the Very Special Episode, Full House takes on the subject of bullying multiple times throughout its eight season run. But one of the instances most poorly thought out and truly mean-spirited comes in the case of poor little Walter, who is dubbed Duckface due to the way he purses his lips after speaking.
It's a truly hurtful episode, and it finds not only Stephanie engaging in bullying behavior, but also Jesse reflecting on being a bully during his own youth. No one comes out of the episode looking good, even if Walter winds up being integrated into Stephanie's friendship group afterwards.
6 Portrayal of women as predatory
Tumblr media
Sitcoms inevitably introduce characters who are romantically interested in the main characters, to the main characters' horror, far more frequently than they don't. But Full House had a real, pervasive problem with the characters it introduced to fill these roles.
Almost all of them were older women, who could easily be demeaned as cougars, who expressed aggressive, sexualized interest in the main male characters. Mrs. Carruthers sexually harassed Joey for seasons on end, and Jesse found himself on the end of more than a few wandering eyes and hands, including while filming the IQ Man commercial.
5 The treatment of Kimmy Gibbler
Tumblr media
Kimmy Gibbler might not have been the most likable character in the series... or the sharpest tool in the shed. But there's really no excuse for the way the show treated her character. Or for the way that the three grown men routinely bullied and embarrassed her whenever they could.
It's one thing for Stephanie and Kimmy to be odds at each other; little sisters and big sisters' best friends are a perfectly fairly matched duo. But to have three men in their 20s and 30s routinely make fun of a preteen and teenage girl is just mean-spirited, and definitely hasn't aged well.
4 Child endangerment storylines
Tumblr media
Sitcoms clearly exist in a heightened reality to the one we live in. But that still doesn't make some of the storylines they take on any less offensive and dangerous. Take, for example, the purely ridiculous episode "Honey, I Broke The House."
RELATED: Fuller House: 5 Best Friendships (& 5 Worst)
In this episode, Stephanie somehow gets behind the wheel of Joey's car and backs her way through the Tanner family home's kitchen window. Stephanie could have been truly hurt in this process, and even if the moral of the episode winds up being that she's far more important and valuable than anything that could be fixed with money, it's still a dangerous situation to depict on television.
3 Offensive depictions of mental illness
Tumblr media
Full House seemingly delights in making fun of quirky or stereotypically nerdy characters. But in the case of Danny Tanner, the jokes made at his expense travel into entirely harmful territory, particularly when it comes to his obsession with cleanliness and order.
Danny is clearly exhibiting signs of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) throughout the series, but his behavior is always used as a punchline, some of which are far more mean-spirited than others. Whether it involves him being called a neat freak or, in one cruel episode, "a psycho with a dust mop," Danny is never given the care or concern he deserves in this regard.
2 Stavros Katsopolis

Seasons after the previously discussed "Greek Week" fiasco, Full House's stereotyping of Greeks continues to show its age. After the tragic death of the beloved Papouli, the series introduces Jesse's cousin, Stavros, who seemingly embodies every possible stereotype imaginable.
Stavros is slimy, greasy, conniving, scheming, flirtatious, lazy, and thieving. John Stamos takes on the role in a dual performance, and from Stavros's hooked nose to his lecherous laugh, it's hard to imagine how this character even got off the drawing board.
1 DJ's one episode eating disorder
Tumblr media
Full House, as a sitcom aimed at children and families alike, had to take on plenty of important issues as the result of being conversation material for families. But the hazards of the "Very Special Episode" format include the fact that the storylines tackled in one isolated episode are never issues that could receive so little focus in real life.
Take, for example, DJ's brief eating disorder. She stops eating, sustaining herself only on ice cubes, and nearly passes out while working out in the gym. But by the end of the episode, all is well and good again, and she's comfortable with herself. Eating disorders are far more serious than this episode depicts them to be, and the reductionist treatment is honestly quite offensive.

10 Quotes From Full House That Are Actually Funny | ScreenRant – Screen Rant
Full House may be a popular sitcom from the late ’80s and early ’90s, but there’s no arguing with the fact that the show is incredibly corny. Even the well-known taglines like Michelle Tanner’s “you got it dude” or Uncle Jesse exclaiming “watch the hair” can be grating after a while.

Despite the cheesy nature of the show, there are actually a lot of quotes that make us laugh to this day, whether we’re catching a random re-run or just looking back on the show we grew up with. Here are 10 quotes from Full House that are actually funny.

10 “My, how you’ve aged.”
Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) are really cute siblings who light up whatever scene they’re in together. When the girls see some photos of them as kids in the season three episode “Star Search,” Stephanie thinks that she’s looking at a snapshot of her. She calls herself “adorable” and DJ says “Steph, that’s me!” Stephanie’s response? “My, how you’ve aged.”
RELATED: 10 Hilarious Full House Memes That Are Too Funny
Stephanie has a wise-beyond-her-years sense of humor and often says things in a very dry, flat tone. This is one of her best quotes that is actually hilarious.
9 “Honey, they’re not boys. They’re men. They’re Katsopolis men.”
In the season eight episode “Breaking Away,” Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) and Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin) have to adjust to their twin sons, Nicky and Alex, going to school. Becky is super emotional and says, “Honey, look at this. Two little lunch-boxes with two little handles and they’ll hold as they walk out of our lives. Jess, they’re not ready for preschool. They’re just little boys.”

Uncle Jesse’s reply is that they’re “Katsopolis men” and it’s a really funny quote. He’s always trying to be really macho, but he’s hiding a sweet, vulnerable side, and of course he’s just as upset about his kids growing up as his wife is.

8 “Dust… When did we have a kid?”
Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky have the cutest family, and it’s impossible to imagine their twins not being a part of Full House. But back in the second season of the show, they were simply discussing baby names.
Becky says she loves the names Prescott and Emily, and Jesse insists on Dustin. When she keeps repeating that Prescott is her preferred boy name, he says, “Dust… When did we have a kid?” This is a Full House that is actually funny since so many couples can relate to this familiar conversation.
7 “Not if it’s a girl.”
In the season three episode “Dr. Dare Rides Again,” Danny (Bob Saget) and his daughters are naming their dog (who ends up being called Comet, of course). Stephanie suggests “Mr. Dog.” When D.J. says, “Mr.Dog? Steph when you have a kid someday what are you going to name it? Mr.Baby?” Stephanie replies, “Not if it’s a girl.”

This is another quote from Full House that is actually hilarious. Stephanie’s delivery is so perfect and she really has good timing here.

6 “Bruce Springsteen is the boss.”
Danny’s season six quote is another funny one. He’s chatting with Michelle in the episode “The House Meets The Mouse” and he tells her, “Sounds like you were trying to be the boss.” She says, “The princess is the boss” and he makes his Bruce Springsteen joke.
This is one of the character’s greatest lines and it’s particularly great since it’s not about cleaning. Sure, it’s pretty funny when he goes into his clean freak mode, but this joke is a nice departure from his usual conversation. It’s even funnier since Michelle has clearly no idea who he’s talking about.
5 “Do babies get hairballs?”
Uncle Jesse asks this very funny (and totally ridiculous) question in the season one episode “Knock Yourself Out,” making this one of the actually hilarious quotes from Full House. Uncle Joey (Dave Gladstone) and Jesse are upset because Michelle is coughing a lot. Stephanie comments that it “sounds like a hairball.”

This is a great example of when Joey and Jesse are taking care of the girls and being really silly in the process. They love them so much that it’s tugging at our heartstrings and also making us laugh.

4 “You lost my daughter? I went to work for seven hours and you lost 33% of my children?”
This Danny Tanner quote is from the pilot and it’s another really funny one. It wouldn’t be quite so good if he hadn’t been so specific and said “33 percent of my children.” That’s Danny: specific, precise, and analytical.
It’s impossible to imagine another TV character (or even someone IRL) saying something like this. They would be too focused on the fact that their kid was nowhere to be found. Danny, however, can’t help but say this.
3 “You’re hugging me in a room with pink bunnies.”
Also from the pilot, this Uncle Jesse quote is one for the books. It’s clear that he’s having some trouble adjusting to his new life and reality: being a full-time caregiver for Danny’s three daughters.

But of course, Jesse also loves every minute of it, and he just has to get used to things.

2 “I gotta go potty.”
Michelle says this hilarious quote in the season four episode “A Pinch For A Pinch.” It’s a perfect response to what Danny is explaining. He says, “Michelle is getting an academic foundation that’s going to carry her through grades K through 12, through college, through Harvard law school. Jess, you have robbed our nation of one of the finest legal minds the supreme court has ever known.”

Michelle, being a little kid, responds the best she knows how: by saying she has to use the bathroom. It’s a priceless moment (and also a teaching one, this being Full House, since Jesse told Michelle to stand up to a bully by pinching him right back).
1 “I’ll stay home and watch public television.”
It’s off to school for Stephanie in the season one episode “The First Day of School.” When Danny asks, “Steph, don’t you want to go to school and be smart?” Stephanie says, “I’ll stay home and watch public television.”
This is definitely the funniest quote from Full House and of course it’s said by Stephanie, who is one of the most hilarious characters on the heartwarming sitcom. She just always knows the right thing to say.

“Thank you so much for going with me. She absolutely loved her present and she hasn’t let go of it ever since.” Jesse beamed as he hugged you close while you laid in bed.
You smiled gently, “I’m just glad she liked her present.”
“She loved it and I have you to thank for that.”

Sick - Jesse Katsopolis
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jesse Katsopolis x Reader
Characters: Jesse Katsopolis
Warnings: N/A
Request: Anon: “Do another Jesse from full house x reader please full of fluff.”
Word Count: 558
Author: Hannah
You’d been with Jesse for a little over six months but when the lease on your apartment was coming up, he suggested that you move in with him at Danny’s house.
Now of course that was a big ask to Danny so you would never have dreamed of asking him yourself, but Jesse did; Danny was grateful to be gaining an extra pair of hands plus the girls absolutely loved you.
There was the fleeting worry of what would happen if you and Jesse broke up but the two of you were pretty confidence in the fact that that wouldn’t happen.
Ever since moving in with everyone permanently, yours and Jesse’s relationship had only grown.
As of recently, everyone had gotten sick, but it was somewhat expected with it being winter time.
Of course, no one liked being sick, but it was always amplified when everyone in the house was sick too.
With four adults and three girls all being under the weather, it made for a rather unhappy house.
Unfortunately, it had hit you and DJ the hardest; Danny had taken DJ out of school for the past couple of days and with you working from home you had been looking after her as well as yourself.
Thankfully it was now the weekend and so that meant a duvet day in front of the tv for Danny and the girls, a day practicing his jokes for Joey and a day of nothing but complaining about your illnesses for you and Jesse.
You’d gone for a shower hoping it would make you feel better, but it really didn’t.
When you went back into yours and Jesse’s room, Jesse was sprawled out on the bed with his eyes shut.
Giggling quietly, you moved around the room to get dressed into some pyjama bottoms and one of Jesse’s shirts.
You then climbed onto the bed next to him causing Jesse to turn around.
“Did the shower help Baby?” he asked but he sounded very sleepy.
You shook your head as you lay down next to him. “Can we cuddle?”
He chuckled, lifting his arm up and pulling your waist so that you were cuddling up to his side.
“Why did we all have to get sick at the same time,” you complained as Jesse ran his hand through your hair.
“Clearly someone just has it in for us,” he joked.
You laughed at his words. “I had Michelle sneeze in my hair yesterday,” you commented.
“You haven’t had her sick up on you yet.”
You moved so that you were leaning your chin on his chest and looking up at him. “You’ll be a great Dad one day.”
He smiled before moving his hand to run it through your hair again. “And you’ll be a great Mum; I see you with the girls all the time and they look up to you so much, especially DJ.”
“Are we really having this conversation?” you questioned with a smile on his face.
“I guess we are.”
You giggled, kissing his chest before cuddling back up to him. “Maybe one day Jess,” you mused as he wrapped his arm around you. “If we’re still together by whenever we decide it.”
“We will be Baby,” he pressed a kiss to the top of your head after you’d spoken. “Because you’re the one for me.”

Dinner - Jesse Katsopolis
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jesse Katsopolis x Reader
Characters: Jesse Katsopolis, Danny Tanner, D.J Tanner, Stephanie Tanner
Warnings: N/A
Request: Anon: “Anything with full house? Maybe the reader babysits the girls? Just fluff please.”
Word Count: 730
Author: Hannah
People had always told you how good you were with children – they were usually surprised when you claimed that you didn’t want a career that involved children, but you had your hands full with looking after Danny’s daughters most of the time.
Danny had been one of your best friends since childhood so of course you were there for him when Pam died, and the girls knew you extremely well.
Joey and Jesse had moved in, so they had gotten to know you pretty well due to how often you were over at Danny’s house.
Jesse was someone you had an interest in, but you weren’t a 100% sure on whether or not you should try anything with him because despite him being an absolutely lovely guy, he did have a bit of a reputation as a ladies’ man.
According Danny, the boys were having a lad’s night out, so he’d asked if you would babysit the girls for the evening.
“Hey Y/N,” Danny greeted you with a hug once you’d walked through the door.
You looked past Danny and saw Jesse passed out on the couch.
Danny followed your gaze and sighed. “Yeah, Jess has come down with something so he’s not out with us tonight.”
“Oh, you’re still going?”
He nodded with a smile on his face. “Of course,” he answered as you walked through to the kitchen so as not to disturb Jesse. “And thank you for coming to look after the girls.”
You dismissed his thanks. “Don’t be silly Dan, I’ll always look after them.”
Danny called the girls down and soon enough you had an armful of the Tanner girls.
“Hi Aunt Y/N,” D.J greeted you before going to sit down at the dining table.
Danny passed D.J something to eat before scooping up Michelle so that he could put her in her high chair.
Stephanie still clung to you. “I missed you.”
You laughed at her. “Steph, I saw you last night.”
“Doesn’t mean I can’t miss you,” she answered with a shrug of her shoulders.
Laughing you gave her an extra squeeze before giving her a gentle push towards the dining table so that the girls could all have their dinner.
Not too long later, D.J and Stephanie were up playing in their room and Michelle was fast asleep in her room, but you had the baby monitor close by just in case.
That left you sat in the living room just reading a book, with Jesse still completely passed out.
You’d placed a cup of water near Jesse so that if he woke up he’d have something there to drink, you knew that your mouth dried out easily when you were sick, so you figured most people were the same.
As you were reading Jesse stirred and slowly sat up, reaching out for the cup of water and taking a drink.
“Hey Jess.”
He looked at you in surprised but then quickly smiled. “Y/N…what are you doing here?”
“Babysitting remember?”
Realisation crossed his face as he nodded.
“How’re you feeling?”
“Not like death anymore.”
You laughed at his response and placed your book down in front of you. “That’s usually a good thing.”
“Did you put the water there?”
“I figured you’d want it.”
He smiled as he ran a hand through his hair. “How have the girls been?”
“Angels as per usual.”
He laughed loudly and shook his head in disbelief. “Oh yeah they’re angels for you.”
“I am their Aunt.”
“And I’m their biological Uncle”
You giggled at him, a smile on your face. “Jess don’t laugh at me, but I’ve got a question.”
He nodded to encourage you to continue.
“Maybe, you know, when you’re feeling better,” you started off cautiously. “Would you like to grab some dinner?”
Jesse smiled, moving over to pat the spot next to him so you went over and sat down.
“Don’t get me sick Jess.”
He chuckled but pulled his blanket over you as well. “Y/N/N, I was trying to work up the courage to ask you out.”
You smiled as a blush covered your cheeks.
“So, even though you beat me to it, I would love to take you out for some dinner.”
“Really?”
He pulled you into his side, and at that moment you didn’t really care about getting sick. “Of course, Love, Danny can babysit his own kids for once.”

“I would love to.” You beamed.
Jesse placed a hand on his chest, “Have mercy.”
You laughed, “You’re being dramatic.”
“Only for you, love.”
