The amount of S3 mentions too. Like, I like it, but also too little too late. Also, S8B feels like a spinoff compared to the one episode of S8 I saw and S4. I can’t explain it, but does someone else have that.

starting another WIP - as if i didn't have enough on my plate already

[EDIT: Guess who started writing just to realize she can't even use it for this project because she misremembered facts? Me. It me. So, uh, thought I'd share it here for lack of anything better to do. Enjoy]

Troy was aware of the stares he was incurring. Unfriendly stares where nothing new to him. These now, though, felt more than unfriendly. Hateful. He supposed that made sense, considering. Raising his voice he addressed the onlookers.

“Someone gonna get Walker? He’s gonna want to hear what I’ve got to say.”

It didn’t look like anyone was gonna get Walker. Not that they were ignoring him, no, their stares just as present as before. They were very much aware of him. Wanted him to be aware of them, too. They were just ignoring his words.

He pressed his lips together, disapprovingly. The suit he was wearing was uncomfortable and not only because he was sweating profusely in it. Spite was the only thing keeping him here, keeping him waiting and he counted the seconds for lack of anything better to do. 1034 seconds – about 17 minutes – later Walker came out and met him. Squinting at Troy, looking annoyed to see him. But he was here.

“Troy Otto,” he boomed, “Heard you had something to say to me?!”

Troy grimaced. He was not willing to give in so easily, not after having been made to wait this long. The fucking nerve of them… He should just leave. Make them wonder what this was about. Make them come to him. Because they would once they heard the news…

Headcanons

- Troy rarely gets anything new, everything he owns is a hand down from Jake or his father.

- He used to sneak into Jeremiah's study and steal some of his books after he got pulled out of school, he actually enjoys reading and science but since everything Jeremiah owned was about ranch related things, he only learned so little.

- Small, dark spaces with no way out like elevators make him uncomfortable, he freaks out if he spends an hour in one, he's a stubborn claustrophobic.

- He once shoved a pencil in a child's hand because the child was bullying him for having to wear a dirty shirt after his mother forgot to do laundry and that's why he was pulled out of school.

- Troy used to be a good kid until he was twelve, then he realized that no matter what he does, his father would think of him as a monstrous mistake so he stopped and started acting up instead.

- Jake was Troy's favorite person in the whole world before he left to college, he once called him dad by mistake in front of Jeremiah who ended up beating the shit out of him for it.

- Troy only had one birthday party growing up and Mike is the one who threw it, He once visited Mike's house and the other told him it was his birthday party which seemed odd for Troy so the other made a deal with Jake to learn Troy's birthdate and he threw him a birthday party that had him, Jake, Charlie and Gretchen.

- Troy vowed to never drink after his mother's health began to decline because he didn't want to be anyone's burden the way she does, especially since he doubted anyone would care enough to look after him.

- He never fell in love growing up, he never dated anyone and he grew up thinking he wasn't good looking because everyone was too terrified to show him any kindness due to Jeremiah's bad PR of him but he once had a crush on a girl, the moment her parents saw her talking to him they told him to stay away, he was thirteen.

- When Troy sees a crying child, he winces cause it brings him back to how his mother used to lock him in the basement until he stops crying, in his head, this is how all parents treat their kids and it’s one of the most frightening experiences especially when they forget about him for days in there.

- He is a workaholic, Jeremiah made him believe if he wasn’t working, being useful then he’s nothing that’s why he’s always up to something, fixing fences, training, inventory, literally anything, he doesn’t want to be nothing and he hates sleeping because it’s not productive so it makes him feel like nothing.

- Troy doesn’t like physical touch but he’ll never admit it because whenever he hints it, people alienate him and make him feel weird about it, he rarely had any positive physical touches growing up, so the whole gesture makes him tense but he learned to hide it just enough not to be called out on his discomfort.

- He used to have a stuffed teddy bear, small sized, Jake gave it to him when he was younger and he told him it’d protect him from evilness, he hid it all his years on the Ranch and would hold it whenever things got too rough, it was his only form of comfort.

- Troy is very extremely organized, he can’t stand things that aren’t put or placed perfectly because it reminds him of how messy his parents are, his bed must be neat, his dish and utensils has to be placed in certain order for him to be able to eat and his drawers are spotless, everything is arranged, a bit too well arranged.

- He is social, he likes meeting new people, he’s always curious about learning about people who aren’t on the ranch, however, he comes off as awkward because of his years of isolation and he doesn’t necessarily know how to properly socialize, also, the negativity he receives from his environment sometimes gets to him and eventually he stops trying to meet new people.

Troy's Room

Bed: he has an Olympic Queen sized bed that Tracy brought him in her house renovation era when he was ten, his bed is always well made (Jeremiah would be upset whenever it wasn't and give the poor boy hell), his bedsheets are of neutral or earthly colors aka beige, white, black, green, grey, brown, he has some red elements as well but never too noticeable.

Window: he has a huge window in his room which he is grateful for, he moved his bed to have one side facing it so he can know that he isn't trapped when he wakes up at night.

Balcony: he has a small balcony that he used to use to sneak out into Mike's house and vice versa, it's also his escape whenever his mom and dad fight, he'd go out and lock himself out until they calm down to escape their loud noises.

Chairs: he has two chairs in his room, again gifted by his mother's renovation era, he likes to sit at the one the left to read, the one on the right is usually for visitors.

Closet: his closet is medium, it has two doors, one for his indoor clothes, flannels, hats, and accessories, he also stored his books and notebooks there as well cause he didn't have many things, the other is for his hanging shirts, pants and shoes.

Rug: he has a small red rug in his room that he used to play on when he was younger, it has a spot darker than the rest on the left side but he doesn't remember how it got there.

Pictures: he only has one picture hanging, it is of him, his mother, his father and Jake, he has no posters or any other type of pictures.

Nightstand: he puts a table lamp on it that became useless after the apocalypse and was replaced with candles instead, his drawer has candles and a pocket knife, while his storage has some books he found during his raids and a granola bar.

Mirror: he has one full body size mirror near the door, it has cracks on it but works just fine.

Pillows: Troy only has two pillows, they are low, and somehow uncomfortable but he is used to them so he doesn't change them, he also uses his pillows to muffle his cries and screams.

Bathroom: his room doesn't have a bathroom, his bathroom is right outside, between the room Jake used to sleep in and his, the bathroom has all of his hygiene necessities, a shampoo, deodorant, body washing soap, face washing soap, dental health kit, hairbrush and shaving kit.

Childhood Memories: Jeremiah made Troy get rid of everything childhood related once he became fifteen, all of his toys, books, art and memories were placed in a box and thrown in the basement, he managed to save one thing, that is a small race car and hide it in his closet.

" in the CeCe school of confidence skin is king!" Celeste held up a denim mini skirt to my body. "But if you're showing legs, the tatas need to be put away"

I almost want to open my Notes on the phone. I was always a comfort-over-style person this new education was gonna need some practice. Slipping on the skirt it fit perfectly.

11pm

Meeting Celeste's other friends was nerve-racking at first but they welcomed me into the fold like it was nothing

"It's Mama's first night out and that calls for a round of shots" Moonie who I came to learn just had a baby 3 months ago called out.

"I've never had a shot before" I called out nervously to Celeste

"They easy boo. We'll start off with green tea shots, the graduate up to the big leagues" Celeste handed me a green tinted liquid in a shot glass "Bottoms up babe"

"Oh, I like that. Can I have another?"

Celeste couldn't contain her laughter "Baby Troi is about to get loose"

"Y'all nigga doing all that talking ready up again? Marcus you betta what you back fo' you have us loosing again" right as the game started my phone began to vibrate in my pocket,

"Baby nigga when you-" Jeremiah's voice was cut off as I pulled my headset off to put the phone to my ear.

"Hey pretty girl, you're up late?" My brows were locked together as I heard Cut Friends by Camflauge ringing out in the background

"Terry ! They're playing your song." Troi giggled "but you're not here to listen" I Could imagine the pout in her voice as she finished her last sentence

"That's okay baby, you having fun with Celeste?" I leaned back on my couch to get comfortable.

"Yeah, but I'd have more fun with you." I glad she couldn't see the look of shock on my face at her flirty tone.

"Troi, you been drinking baby? " a hiccup came through the speaker

"Well I had 4 no 5 green tea shots! And a drink called a ...." Troi hiccup again before dropping into a whisper "a pornstar"

A loud laugh erupted from me "I'm glad you're trying new things Pretty girl. You gone tell me when y'all leaving and when you're at home? "

"I don't wanna go home Terry, I wanna go with you"

I couldn't help my body's reaction at the thought of Troi pleading for me.

"Send me your location baby I'm on my way" slipping on my crocs and grabbing my keys. I was a man on a mission.

Celeste handed me a plastic cup filled with clear liquid

"CeCe I don't think I can have another drink." I knew I was already tipsy and I didn't want to be sloppy drunk like I saw other people at the club.

"Baby girl I wouldn't let you drink anymore, we can't have you blackout on our first night out" Celeste tilted the cup to my mouth.

The crisp water hitting my throat, caused the rest of my brain to catch up. I almost choked on my water when I realized who I was just on the phone with. "I just called Terry" I was able to choke out "and he's coming to get me"

I pulled my phone out of my purse to see that 7 minutes ago I had shared my location with him and he returned the action

I could see Terry's dot moving closer onto the map to where mine is stationary "What do I do Celeste!!!"

"Girl what you mean? You going home with you boo. I'll walk you out then I'm gonna drive Moonie home to her Baby. Then go see a man about a horse" Celeste grabbed my hand to pull me towards the door.

As soon as we were able to push through the crowd, I was able to spot Terry's truck creeping up the street cautious of the drunken Jaywalkers.

He pulled over to the side once he saw us, using his blinker to signal for people to go around. Terry look comfortable in his shorts and slides walking towards us

"Hey Pretty girl" Terry pulled me into a hug wrapping his arms around my shoulder. "You ready to go? Celeste you and I'm sorry I didn't catch your name?"

"Moonie" she spoke up smiling at me

"Moonie, yall need a ride home?"

Celeste answered this time "nope Terry, take your boo home we're good"

After making sure Celeste and Moonie were safely in the car. I helped Troi into my truck and buckled in I couldn't but sneak a kiss to her forehead

"You still wanna come home with me? " I placed my hand on her thigh close to the knee.

With a shaky breathe and almost what sounded like a moan "yes" passed her lips

This girl had no idea what she did to me

The drive to my house was short once we were out of downtown the street was almost empty, and Troi softly sang along to my mix playing on Spotify.

"Terry, I'm sorry I had you out so late. You can take me home if you want I don't wanna take up your weekend I already dragged you out-" I couldn't help but chuckle at her rambling

"Troi, I'll come stop anything for you and you can take up all my weekend baby" I place a kiss on her hand.

2 am

I heard the shower cut off, as I rummaged around the kitchen to find ibuprofen and a glass of water for what probably would be her first hangover.

"I didn't realize how gross I felt until I was clean" Troi entered the kitchen looking fresh-faced and drowning in the T-shirt I gave her for after the shower.

"It was the liquor, it will have you floating with the right mix" I shook out two pills into Troi's hand.

She swallowed them quickly downing the water right after. "My Daddy would always give me something sweet to give me medicine"

I moved so that Troi was trapped between my chest and the counter. "Something sweet huh? Like what" I teased

"Ummm....I can't really... remember "Troi's breath was minty from the mouthwash I left in the bathroom.

"You know my favorites were Hershey's" I pecked Troi face right where her lips met her cheek. To my surprise she turned her face and our lips met.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry Terry, I just..."Troi looked up to the ceilings

"Baby Shut up" I leaned in to grab the nape of her neck. I crashed my lips back into hers

Resting my lips onto hers felt like heaven on earth, and then I felt her tongue swipe against my bottom lip, as much as I wanted to keep the kiss PG knowing that Troi had been drinking the temptation to have a true taste of her was too much..

Troi sighed softly into my mouth at our tongue softly caressing each other was too much as the blood rush to the bottom half of my body. I disconnected my lips from hers hard as it was and rested our forehead together.

"Troi you know I respect you right?"

"Of course, Terry you're the most respectful man I know" Troi connected eyes with me brushing our noses together.

"Good, cause if we keep kissing like that you might not think so" I groaned leaning away.

I pull away to lead her to my bedroom to tuck her in.

"Terry, can you lay next to me? I always have a hard time falling asleep in a new place" Troi looked adorable with her hair pulled into a high bun, looking way too small for the king size bed.

"Of course Baby I'll be right here till you fall asleep." I climbed under the cover to keep her company.
