“Uh, excuse me,” you said, poking Jared in the back as you stood in line at the food truck when you spotted a familiar tuft of hair.
“Hey! What a coincidence. I need good barbecue after work this week,” he said.
“Weren’t you in LA for Walker stuff this week?” you asked.
“Yeah. Stupid producer stuff for a few episodes until I flew back home for filming a couple days back. I managed to sneak away for lunch,” he said. “You miss me?”
“Funny is all. Jensen said you guys were in LA working still,” you said, crossing your arms. Jared cocked his head and you nodded. “Yeah. Obviously that’s not true.”
You got out of line and started to head back for your car, Jared catching up and grabbing your arm not more than a few seconds later.
“Don’t even pretend to lie for him,” you said.
“Okay,” said Jared. “I know he was really busy doing some voice over work.”
“Why didn’t he fly home with you? Better yet, why would he lie about it? He’s not...he’s being shady lately, Jared. He’s been spending all this time in LA and he’s avoiding me the past few weeks and lying to me. I don’t know what to think anymore,” you said.
“I know,” he said.
“Do you know what’s going on?”
“I do,” he said quietly. “Trust him. I know he’s...not being the best friend right now but trust him.”
“...Does he have a girlfriend?” you asked. Jared shook his head and you stared up at him. “You would tell him me if he did, right?”
“I swear, he is single. He’s not talking to anyone,” said Jared.
“Then why is he being all shady around me?”
“Why are you so concerned about him having a girlfriend?”
“I’m not,” you said.
“Really? Because I remember what drunk Y/N said at the series wrap party nearly six months back,” said Jared.
“I was drunk,” you said. He stared at you and you looked around. He rolled his eyes and grabbed your hand, pulling you over to a picnic bench to take a seat at. He started to eat and you felt his gaze on you. “I was drunk, Jared.”
“Drunk or sober, you love him,” said Jared.
“I love him like you love him,” you said.
“No, no you don’t. Maybe those first few months on set but I saw it bubbling up. Everyone saw it bubbling up. You guys have been best friends for years. The only person who didn’t see what was going on was Jensen.”
“I don’t even work with him anymore. I am very happy doing my voice over work and-”
“You moved to Austin.”
“So did you! You don’t own the whole city. You guys aren’t my only friends here,” you said. “My brother lives half an hour away and our parents are even thinking of moving here so-”
“All I’m saying is you’re connected at the hip with him almost as much as I am. More so now that I’m busy with Walker and he’s doing his different things,” said Jared.
“He’s allowed to have more than one best friend,” you said.
“I know. He’s got other ones besides me, ones long before you or I came into the picture. But none of his other best friends fell in love with him. Get the picture?”
“Forget it. I only asked because we had plans tonight and he wasn’t responding to me,” you said. You stood up and he frowned. “What would you do?”
“Tell him how I felt.”
“I can’t.”
“Why?”
“Because I’ve been getting deeper and deeper for the past three years and he’s never noticed. I’m not supposed to be with him obviously.”
“But you love him.”
“He doesn’t love me like that, Jare.”
“Maybe you should ask,” said the voice behind you. You spun around, Jensen in his baseball cap and his carry on backpack over his shoulders. He gave a small wave and you went wide eyed. “I was on a flight. You kept calling so I got worried and used the find my iphone thing when I landed.”
“How long have you been standing there?” you breathed out.
“Since you sat down I think,” he said.
“I’m going to give you guys a minute,” said Jared. He grabbed his food and left, Jensen taking his spot. He looked down to the table, opening his mouth a few times.
“You love me?” asked Jensen. “More than a friend?”
“Yes,” you said. You swallowed and watched him rub the back of his neck. He gave you a quick glance but you caught no shyness in it and your stomach started to churn.
“Y/N, you’re my best friend and I love you as my best friend. I’d do anything for you. I just don’t...love you in that other kind of way,” he said.
“Yeah,” you said. The air was still and you looked away. “Something came up tonight. I need to cancel.”
You stood up and heard him right behind you, grabbing your shoulder.
“Y/N,” he said running around in front of you. You couldn’t look at him, not after you’d just told him and it was very clear how he felt about you. “Y/N, wait. Let’s talk about this.”
“I don’t want to,” you said, biting your bottom lip. “I gotta go, Jay.”
You took off towards your car, cutting through a group of people to slow him down and you were pulling away by the time you saw him in your rearview mirror.
“Why’s he have to die?” you said to yourself that night, crying as you watched a movie and stabbing into your pint of ice cream. You took a sip of your wine and wiped off your face, the sound of the key in your door making you jump up. The door opened wide as you held up your spoon, Jensen stepping into the foyer. “Get out.”
“Shouldn’t have given me a key then,” he said, looking around your apartment. “Well now I feel even shittier than before. Sad chick flicks? Wine? Ice cream? You look like hell.”
“Leave your key and go,” you said as he slipped off his shoes and jacket.
“Not happening. You don’t walk out on three years of friendship like that, not us,” he said.
“Jensen. You didn’t do anything wrong. I can’t...I can’t hang out with you though if I know I feel a certain way and you don’t. It’s not your fault. I can’t just pretend it’s all okay though,” you said. You set your spoon down and took a seat on the couch. Jensen settled into his usual spot at the other end and kicked his feet up on the coffee table. “What are you doing?”
“I’ve been seeing a girl,” he said. “Quietly. No one really knows.”
“Oh,” you said. He hummed and you grabbed your blanket. He rested his head in his hand and started to watch the movie.
“We broke up an hour ago,” he said.
“Why?”
“Because I don’t love her. I didn’t even really like her. You made me realize something at the park today. I haven’t been single since I was a junior in high school and in all that time, I don’t think I’ve quite figured out what being in love is like.”
“I’m sure you loved someone,” you said.
“I’m sure I did too. But it’s always been this is my girlfriend. I’ve never thought of any of them as my best friend,” he said.
“Jensen.”
“I don’t want to date anyone right now. All I want is to be your best friend,” he said.
“I don’t think I can do that.”
“Give me a chance?” he said. “I never wanted to hurt you. The second those words came out of my mouth I knew I did. But I’m a guy and stupid and I don’t want to lose you. So let’s watch a movie and eat and drink like we do when one of us breaks up with someone and in the morning if you still can’t stand to be near me, I’ll respect it.”
“One night won’t change how I feel.”
“I know.”
“I’m sorry but I’d really like it if you left, Jensen,” you said. “I need space. I’m not...I’m not saying maybe someday we can’t be friends again but right now, I really need to be away from you.”
“I understand,” he said. He smiled and stood up, putting his coat and shoes back on. He dipped his hand into his pocket and placed his key on your front table. “Would you have ever told me on your own?”
“I honestly don’t know. I was afraid of this exact situation,” you said.
“We’ll never be the same as it was, will we,” he said.
“I wanted more than it was, Jensen.”
“Losing you hurts more than any girlfriend did if it’s any consolation,” he said. He left and you got up, locking up after him. You rested your head against the door before you quickly unlocked it, Jensen standing further down the hall by the elevators. He turned your direction as you stepped out.
“Come here,” you said. You slowly walked back to your apartment and you let him inside. You shut the door behind him and quickly pushed him back against it, giving him a kiss. He stared at you after you broke it off, blinking more than a few times. “Now how do you feel?”
“I don’t know.”
“Then go,” you said.
“Why’d you kiss me?”
“Because I don’t think you have any idea at all of what love, a relationship kind of love, actually is. It’s more than thinking someone is attractive or kind. You don’t understand and until you do, you shouldn’t date anyone, Jensen. For their sake and yours,” you said. He quickly left and you went back to your couch, stabbing into your ice cream once again.
“Hey,” said Jared, catching you coming out of the recording studio a few days later. You walked past him and he scoffed. “Why are you pissed at me?”
“Because you lied to me. You said Jensen wasn’t up to anything in LA and he was. You said you knew what he was doing out there. I always knew if it all went south you’d end up on his side. Just leave me alone, Jared,” you said. You walked down the sidewalk to your car, Jared right there with his hand on the door. “Move.”
“For your information, I didn’t know he was seeing anyone. You really want to know what he was doing out there? Talking to network executives about you. He got cast in something and he thought you’d be great for the female lead. I’m pretty sure you’re going to get a call about an audition soon. But you’re right. I’m an ass that only cares about one of my best friends.”
He walked away and you stared after him with a sigh.
“Jared-”
“No. You know, I don’t know what the Hell you said to him but whatever it was, it was out of line. You can’t be angry at someone for not feeling the same way about you. You’re not in middle school, Y/N. Grow up,” said Jared. He huffed and went inside the studio as you slipped inside your car. You sat behind the wheel for a moment, your phone ringing all of a sudden.
“Hi, Zoey,” you said. She went off a mile a minute and you squeezed your eyes shut. “A movie with Jensen? Oh yeah, that sounds great. Set something up and I’ll do the audition.”
You hung up and rested your head against the wheel.
“Should have just said no. Should have said you were taking a break but no, had to say yes like an idiot,” you said to yourself. “Hopefully they hate me and give it to someone else.”
Two Months Later
“You guys have to be loving this! Working together again,” said the director. You glanced at Jensen and he forced a smile. “Alright. You two are wrapped for the day along with Nate. Head on home. We got plenty more work tomorrow.”
You kept a smile on your face until he walked away, quickly separating from Jensen.
“Hey!” said Nate, your other lead for the movie as he jogged over to you both. “It’s not that late. Would you guys maybe want to grab dinner? I don’t know many people in Austin aside from work people.”
“Maybe we can grab a bite over the weekend?” said Jensen.
“I’ll go Nate,” you said, shooting Jensen a look. “Don’t mind him, he’s just old.”
There was a quick flash of anger on Jensen’s face but it was so subtle Nate wouldn’t have noticed.
“Let me just grab my bag and then we can go get some food,” you said.
“Awesome,“ said Nate. He headed over towards his trailer, Jensen walking over to you quickly. You put your hands on your hips and he did it right back.
“It’s nine. It’s late. What are you doing taking the new kid out on a weeknight?”
“I didn’t realize you had a bedtime, Jensen. Call time isn’t until 9 tomorrow. We’ll both be home and in bed by eleven not that it’s any of your business,” you said.
“I’m not old,” he said. “You want to go out after a thirteen hour day, be my guest.”
“Come with us, don’t come with us, I really don’t care, Jensen,” you said. “It was a joke. We used to go out after filming was done on the show all the time. Don’t be so sensitive.”
“Don’t blame me when you’re exhausted in the morning.”
He left with a huff and you rolled your eyes, ducking in your trailer quick. You caught up with Nate a few minutes later who was all smiles.
“Ready?” you asked.
“Yeah. You and Jensen, you’re not together or anything, right?” he asked. “He seemed…”
“No, no. We don’t like each other like that,” you said. “I’m very much single.”
“Good,” he smiled. You returned it, ignoring the small guilty feeling in your stomach for talking to Jensen like that. “So where can we get a good steak around here?”
“You smell like a bar,” said Jensen the next day as you got coffee at craft services. You grabbed your cup as he walked away, sipping from hi own.
“That’s rude,” you said.
“Don’t be so sensitive, Y/N,” he said with a smirk. You bumped his shoulder and paused as you headed for set.
“Oh and not that you would care but Nate asked me out on a date tonight,” you said.
“Funny. I thought attraction wasn’t the only qualifier to be in love,” he said, narrowing his eyes. “That’d just be for me. You want to date the guy that just wants in your pants, fine.”
“Shut up,” you said.
“Back at you, runt.”
You looked back angrily, Jensen bumping you this time as he went by. You caught up with him and grabbed his arm, Jensen frowning.
“Don’t you dare call me runt. Not you of all people. You know what that means to me.”
“Yeah, I do. Maybe I don’t care about much of anything when it comes to you anymore,” he said. You stared at him and dropped your hand away, quickly leaving. You avoided him as much as you could for the day and were grateful you only had two scenes together. When you wrapped for the night and you were getting ready to go out with Nate again, you gathered up your things from your trailer, spotting a cupcake and note on the counter. You picked it up and frowned.
I crossed a line with the runt comment. I’m sorry. It was wrong. Please stay away from Nate. I get a bad vibe from him.

“At least you got my favorite flavor,” you said. You took a bite and put the rest away in your fridge. You put on your backpack but stopped for a moment and wrote down a note of your own. You ran over next door to the empty trailer and set it down on Jensen’s counter before popping outside and heading over to Nate’s. “Hey.”
“Hey,” he said grumpily, shoving some things in a duffel bag. “Listen, I just got fired so-”
“Fired? For what?” you said.
“I don’t think your friend likes me very much,” he said. “It’s whatever. I’m flying back to LA tonight. Maybe I’ll see you around someday Y/N.”
He jogged out of his trailer and you shook your head. You walked outside and saw Jensen coming out of hair and makeup with his face washed off.
“What did you do?” you asked, storming straight over to him.
“Bought you a cupcake...I’ll be sure not to make that mistake again,” he said, rolling his eyes.
“Nate was just fired he said.”
“Good.”
“Good? Did you get-”
“Wow. No, I didn’t. I’m glad to see you think so little of me. Outside of a scene, don’t talk to me,” he said. He left and you stood there, throwing up your hands.
“Oh my God, Y/N! Did you hear?” asked Shelby as she came out of the makeup trailer.
“Nate got fired? Yeah,” you said.
“I’d have kicked his ass,” she said. You raised an eyebrow and she made a face. “The PA? Inappropriate touching?”
“He did what?” you asked.
“Oh he got way handsy with one of the PA’s. Eighteen years old. One of the grips caught him cornering her and he nearly decked him right then and there,” she said. “He’ll be lucky if she doesn’t press charges let alone act again.”
“That’s too bad. She’s okay?” you asked.
“Yeah. It didn’t go like, bad or anything but dude’s a creep,” she said.
“Sounds like it,” you said quietly.
“I think production might get shutdown the rest of the week while they find a replacement. I’m sure you’ll find out before the rest of us,” she said. You nodded and she gave you a smile. “You okay? You seem different lately.”
“Yeah. Just not used to long days again,” you said. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow if we still have work, okay?”
“Sure thing,” she said. You walked over to the parking lot, catching Jensen waiting by your car with your note in his hand. Slowly you made your way over, Jensen kicking at the pavement.
“I heard why Nate got fired,” you said.
“I had a bad feeling about him and you didn’t believe me,” he said, holding up the note. “Fucks sake, Y/N. I’m not jealous of him either okay because I know how your head works.”
“Then what?”
“I don’t want you to get hurt,” he said. You reached for your door handle and he moved in front of it. “Why are you so angry at me? You won’t even talk to me.”
“I’m not angry at you, Jensen. I’m...I can date and be with whoever I want to. I can go out after work without you. We’re co-workers. It’s all we are,” you said. “It’s all we can be.”
“It’s been two months. Why can’t-”
“Because it still hurts me to see your face as pathetic as that sounds. I wish it didn’t. I wish I could pretend we are exactly as we were and go back to that. But I’m not capable of it. I told you. I need time and space if I’m ever going to get back there with you and two months isn’t enough time for me.”
“Not everything is about you. Don’t even bother,” he said.
“Don’t bother what?” you said.
“We’re co-workers. It’s all we’re ever going to be,” he said. He left and headed for his car, leaving the note behind.
“I see you skimmed over the part about me apologizing for how I acted,” you said.
“You skimmed over that part of mine. Fair is fair,” he said. “You know what? Lose my number. Don’t talk to me outside of a set anymore.”
You got in your car and headed for home, hoping that the movie got delayed indefinitely.
Three Days Later
“Hey!” said Ruthie to you out on the hotel patio. You looked up from your phone, Ruth sitting down in the chair across from you. “I haven’t seen you all convention long! What are you doing out here?”
“Enjoying the fresh air,” you said, forcing a smile.
“I see,” she said. You went back to your phone only for her to steal it away from you. “Texting a new friend?”
“No. I was reading,” you said, taking it back.
“You wouldn’t happen to be out here because of you and the boys not getting along, hm?” she asked.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” you said.
“You’ve been noticeably absent from the group chat,” she said. “And not hanging out with the guys, especially Jensen.”
“Been busy.”
“With what? Unemployment?”
“Our movie is only shut down a few months. I’m taking the vacation time,” you said. “Discovering new things.”
“What happened?”
“Nothing!” you said.
“Fine, fine,” she said. “Bri and I are going to have a drink after the show tonight in my room. Your attendance is mandatory.”
“Why aren’t you going out with the guys?”
“Because you need a girls night and so do we,” she said. “It’ll be fun, I promise.”
“Do you still…” said Bri well after midnight and more than a few drinks. “Love him?”
“Yes,” you said, knocking back your margarita. “I don’t even want to anymore. It just hurts like everyday and it’s so pathetic. I thought pushing him away would make it go away and I thought trying to move onto another guy would work but I still want him. I don’t know why I can’t get over him. I’ve dated before. I don’t know why…”
“When you say you love him, do you mean love him right now or I could imagine the rest of everything with him love him?” asked Ruth.
“I’m so stupid,” you said, sliding down on the bed, pulling a pillow over your face. “We weren’t even together! Why am I so upset?”
“Because you love him bad. Like in deep,” said Bri. “He really said he thought of you guys as just friends?”
“Yes. I miss him. I want my best friend back,” you said, pulling away the pillow. Ruth handed you a few tissues and you wiped off your face, all three of your heads turning when you heard a knock at the door.
“It’s probably the guys,” said Bri. She was out of her seat and you watched her peek the door open a crack. “What? It’s late.”
“We know,” said Rich and Rob. “We got to talk about this Jensen and Y/N situation.”
“No, we don’t. They’re adults,” she said.
“Well Jensen just drunkenly confessed to being in love with her and how he messed up. I think we at least have to get the two of them in a room together to sort this whole thing out,” said Rob.
“Jensen said what?” you said, rushing over to the door.
“Oh great. She’s been crying,” said Rich, running his hand over his face.
“What’d he say?” you asked.
“That he misses you and he thinks he might be in love with you and you got to take this all with a grain of salt. He drank a lot,” said Rob.
“Where’s he now?” you asked.
“His room. He’s not...save the conversation for when he’ll remember it?” said Rich. You nodded and turned back to the girls.
“Should I say anything?” you asked.
“I honestly don’t know,” said Ruth. “Maybe sleep on it and decide in the morning?”
“Yeah, that’s probably the best idea,” you said. “I’m going to head back to my room.”
“We’ll walk you,” said Rich.
“Thanks,” you said. A moment later you were in the hall, the guys going up a floor with you in the elevator.
“From a guy’s perspective,” said Rob. “We can be really dumb. Like it’s amazing how dumb we can be. Give him a chance when you talk to him.”
“He doesn’t understand what falling in love is. I can’t explain that to him,” you said.
“Maybe you have different definitions of love,” he said. You blinked and they both shrugged. “There’s a reason this stuff is complicated.”
“Tell me about it,” you said when the doors opened. “I’m right here,” you said, pointing at a door. “Night guys.”
“Night, Y/N.”
You entered the room and lay down on your bed, staring at the ceiling.
He was drunk and he’d missed you. It’s all there was to it in your opinion.
Three Weeks Later
“Sounds good,” you said, hanging up with your agent. The movie was back on at the start of the next year and in the meantime, you’d gotten another voice acting gig. You felt happy about that for the first time in a while. Slowly things were getting better. Avoiding Jensen had helped. You still caught yourself wanting to send him a funny video or talk to him about something during your day but you knew you’d get there. All you’d needed was a good cry session with your friends it seemed.
There was a knock on your door and you got up for your pizza, smiling as you skipped into the foyer.
You pulled it open and found Jensen there, a blank look on his face. He stepped inside and grabbed your face, giving you a remarkably gentle kiss that went on and on. He broke it off when there was a grunt and your pizza guy was standing there. You took the food in a haze and shut the door, setting it down on the counter.
“What…” you said, Jensen getting right in your face.
“I have loved you from the second I met you. I have loved you from the week after that and the week after that and I knew deep down there was no going back. You were it. Always.”
“If you loved me then why-”
“Because I want better for you. I don’t want a life where you’re alone because I’m off working over here or you’re working over there. I want you to have everything you deserve and that is a better man than me.”
“I know you, Ackles. If it were just that, you would have told the truth. What is it,” you said. He closed his eyes and his shoulders sagged.
“I had an anomaly in my blood work at my last checkup a few months ago,” he said.
“Jensen. What are you saying…”
“My blood work showed I was sick. Dying kind of sick,” he said.
“Oh, you dumbass,” you said, giving him a hug. It was tight and he returned it, running his hand up and down your back. “Jensen.”
“I couldn’t say it when I thought I wasn’t gonna be around in a few years. I couldn’t do that to you,” he said. You squeezed him harder and he shushed you. “S’okay. I’m okay.”
“No, you’re not. You said...I wasted all that time-”
“I’ve had a lot of tests done. Some here. Some in LA. They were looking for the cause. Jared’s the only one aside from my family that knew. It’s why he was so pissed with you when we fought but I swore him to secrecy.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” you asked.
“I was afraid. Of everything. You pitying me. Leaving me. Of me telling you the truth and setting you up for some kind of horrible heartbreak,” he said. “But in all those doctor’s genius attempts to find something, they never thought to take another blood sample. They kept reusing the same one over and over.”
“What are you saying?” you asked.
“I’m saying I’ve spent the past four months thinking I was dying when they had the wrong blood. It was someone else’s. They couldn’t find anything wrong because there is nothing wrong. I’m perfectly healthy. The only problem I have is finding a new doctor. I found out half an hour ago and drove straight here,” he said.
“So to summarize you thought you were dying and denied you loved me so that I wouldn’t have to be upset when it happened?”
“I know I hurt you. I know...it was easier to push your buttons and push you away than let us be something else and have it ripped away from you so soon. I thought this way would hurt less than the other,” he said.
“You really are a dumbass,” you said with a smile. “You should have told me.”
“I know,” he said. “I wanted to protect you.”
“Do you love me?”
“Yes.”
“Do you know what I meant when I said love is more than attraction?”
“Absolutely. But playing stupid seemed like a good idea at the time,” he said. You rested your head on his shoulder, Jensen’s arms wrapped around you. “Do you hate me?”
“No,” you said. “I’m mad at you for lying and I’m sorry for pushing you away just as much. I just want it back to the way it was.”
“Maybe we can try something different?” he said. You cocked your head and he kissed you again, smiling when you held up a finger.
“Different is good,” you said, Jensen looking you up and down. “I’m still mad at you.”
“Okay,” he smiled.
“Still mad.”
“Okay,” he said again, taking off his coat and shoes.
“Inviting yourself over, hm?” you said.
“For sure,” he said. “You even got dinner for us already.”
“Jensen, it’s not all fixed like that.”
“Okay,” he said, kissing you one more time. “I’m going to keep doing that in the meantime.”
“Hey,” you said, grabbing his hand. “You have a scare like that, you call me. I don’t care if you got an hour left and we had the biggest fight in the world. Call me.”
“I was getting close to cracking regardless of the test results. I heard I may have mentioned something at the last con to a few people.”
“You did. Let’s just hang out and eat pizza like we did the first time you came over my place?” you asked. “Try to be friends again?”
“Yeah. I really missed you, Y/N.”
Three hours later you were laying on your couch watching a movie, snuggled up under a blanket. You titled your head back and Jensen gave you a soft smile, his arm over your waist pulling you back into his chest more. He kissed your temple and you thought back to the hundred million times you’d done this same thing before.
“Why didn’t you ever say anything?” you asked.
“Because I didn’t know how you felt and the idea of losing you was horrifying. I have had plenty of girlfriends before. I’ve only felt this once and I’m not letting it go,” he said.
“Spend the night,” you said.
“I’ve been drinking. I probably should crash on the couch,” he said. You shook your head and gave him a smile. “Oh. In the...should we really dive into that right away?”
“I just want you close by,” you said. “Nothing more than innocent cuddling for now.”
“I’m very much up for that,” he said. You turned off the movie and grabbed his hand, pulling him down into your bedroom. “All the times I’ve been over here, I’ve never actually seen your room.”
“I know it’s kinda girly,” you said, playing with the hem of your shirt.
“It’s relaxing,” he said with a smile. “I like it much better than my room.”
“Isn’t your house like gorgeous?” you asked.
“I moved,” he said. “About 4,000 square feet now versus the eight.”
“Oh. Well you’re like everybody else now, aren’t you?” you teased. He chuckled and you got an extra blanket out of your closet, Jensen spotting your weighted blanket on the bed.
“Too much house for just me. Never cared for it much. This one is simpler. More of a blank canvas,” he said, taking the soft blanket you knew he liked when he slept on the couch. “How’s your anxiety lately?”
“Not great,” you said. “Better but not great. You’re crap pilled on top of…”
“Top of what?” he asked.
“My dad got released,” you said, sitting on the bottom of the bed. Jensen sat down beside you and you sighed. “It’s been twenty five years, Jay. He got out.”
“Are you scared?”
“No. He’s up in Maine and he has diabetes and cancer,” you said. “He’s in the process of dying.”
“The runt comment,” said Jensen and you nodded. “Y/N, I’m sorry I ever said that.”
“S’not your fault my dad was crappy to my mom and me,” you said. He took your hand in his and laced your fingers together. “She was really happy when she met Charlie. He’s exactly what she needed.”
“He’s what you needed too. You got a real dad and even your little brother a few years later. I’m sorry you had to spend five in a not so great place,” he said.
“Never lie to me again,” you said.
“I promise,” he said.
“You’re really okay?” you asked.
“Yes. For the hundredth time, I am perfectly healthy. I watched them draw the blood and take it straight into the lab myself.”
“You should call your parents,” you said. “Let them know the good news.”
“It’s late for them,” he said. “I’ll call first thing. Do you mind if I take off my jeans?”
“Of course not. It’s not like I’ve seen you in your underwear before,” you said. He stood and kicked them off as you excused yourself into your bathroom. You exited in a pair of shorts and shirt, Jensen spreading the blanket out over one side of the bed. You walked around and climbed under the sheets, Jensen following after. “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight,” he said. You flipped off the light and the room was quiet. Jensen shifted and your head turned, Jensen’s face closer now. You rolled onto your side and rested your cheek on the pillow, Jensen glancing down. “I’m sorry.”
“I know. You thought you were stopping me from a worse kind of pain. Never do anything like that again and you’re forgiven.”
“I won’t,” he said. “It was a dumb split second decision.”
“It’s okay. I still like you. I’m sorry for how I acted too. I never should have shoved you out of my life for thinking you didn’t have feelings.”
“It hurt and you needed space and time. We would have come back together,” he said. “We did.”
“Because you found out you weren’t sick.”
“I was coming over tonight no matter what the test said.”
“Why?”
“Because I can’t imagine how shitty I’d feel if you didn’t love me back. When I heard you talking to Jared...I’d never felt that happy before. Something about you is just...special.”
“You’re not so bad yourself,” you teased. You leaned over and kissed him quickly. “I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Looking forward to it, sweetheart.”

Masterlist
Part 5
For whatever reason, you woke up in the middle of the night. You hadn’t meant to fall asleep, but it had been a long day and you’d, obviously, needed the rest. Rich was sleeping soundly next to you. As you marveled at his handsome face, a sudden wave of panic washed over you.
Dear God, what have I done? Please don’t let me have ruined this. Let him love me as much as I love him…
His face was turned toward you and a small piece of hair had fallen across his cheek. Carefully, you reached to move it away. You’d had one of the best nights of your life with Richard, and you were stressing that you’d ruined it. It wasn’t like he’d pushed you away, on the contrary, he’d been very enthusiastic. Your fingers went down to your hips, finding the tender spots he’d left there. A smile crossed your face and flushed hot at the memory of how they were made.
Laying back down with him, you turned your back to him and pulled up the covers. Feeling the disturbance, Rich roused enough to talk to you.
“You okay, (Y|N)?” he asked.
“Did we do the right thing, Rich?” you asked back.
His arm slipped around your body, pulling you to him, his lips on your shoulder.
“Felt right to me,” he said, softly.
Thinking he was joking, “You know what I mean.”
“Mmhmm,” he purred into your neck, sending goosebumps down your side. Shivering back into him, he chuckled a little, his thumb stroking the underside of your breast. “I know what you meant.”
You’d waited years for him, if he wasn’t 100% with you… Rich’s hand drifted down your body to your leg, you became aware of the heat coming from behind you. Almost involuntarily, you pressed back into his body. His hand smoothed the skin of your leg, going behind your knee to lift your leg over his.
Twisting your body, your lips went to his. The need for him sending jolts of desire to your core. Feeling your desire for him grow, his hand went to your folds, finding you hot and wet for him. You gasped into his mouth as his fingers dipped inside your folds, stroking your desire. Arching your back, Rich eased himself into you. Somehow, Rich knew just how to hit all the right ways to bring on your orgasm quickly. He didn’t have to work too hard. You were so in love with Rich and so excited to be with him, everything he did was a turn on. Working you just right, the sound of skin on skin filled the room as your body shuddered with release. A small moan left his lips as he had his own orgasm.
“Gorgeous, I’m yours. Go to sleep,” he muttered.
Settling into him, you drifted off to sleep again…
Sundays at convention meant that the day would be relatively short, leaving both you and Rich a little time before your flight left. Sundays also meant that you had to say goodbye to your friends and miss them until you got to see them at the next event. Maybe things would be different now that you were firmly with Rich. Maybe you could go to Vancouver with him when he directed a Supernatural episode. It was never easy to say goodbye, but it always made the reunions that much sweeter.
You made a point of going to see Jensen before he took off with Jared. He usually had his bag packed before his last panel and would leave shortly after, depending on what flight he could get. Checking the green room, you got lucky.
“Hey!” he said, spotting you, patting the open space next to him on the couch, “bring me a water, too.”
You smirked and grabbed a second water, one for you and one for him. Jensen had just finished the gold panel and was getting ready for the next. Assuming he was hungover, you flopped down on the couch as hard as you could.
“You have a mean streak, you know that,” he grimaced, but took the offered bottle of water.
“I do. Blame my former co-workers,” you opened your bottle and took a long drink. “Thanks for being your usual self and convincing me to sing with you.”
“Ah, don’t worry about it. Just doing what others did for me,” he tried to play it off. “But I do accept thanks in the form of public praise and adoration.”
Backhanding his stomach, you appreciated the groan that came from him.
“Thanks Jensen. I’ll give you a glowing review,” you said to your friend.
“How’d it go?” he asked.
The way he looked at you, you knew what he meant. Turning your shoulders to him and pulled down the neck of your shirt to show Jensen the mark Richard had left there. It didn’t hurt, but the mark was clear.
“It went well,” he grinned.
You laughed a little, “Yeah, it went very well.”
“Okay, okay, don’t tell me anymore, I don’t want to know the details,” he cut you off. “I’m happy for you, sweetheart. You two should be together. He loves you.”
“Yeah, he does,” you were half-hearted. You knew he loved you, but the uncertainty of whether or not he was in love with you was always at the back of your mind.
“You don’t think so?” Jensen picked up on your uncertainty.
“I know he loves me, but…”
Jensen sighed hard, “He’s in love with you.” He rolled his eyes and took a drink from his water. “Can we talk about something else now? I feel dirty.”
When Rich finally was finished for the day, he found (Y|N) in her room, taking a nap. She had the TV on to some show on the Travel channel and was covered up with the extra blanket. Quietly, he took off his boots and crawled onto the bed with her.
“You’re not as quiet as you think,” she mumbled.
“Shh, you’re dreaming,” he said pulling up the blanket to get close. He just needed to take a nap. “Were you asleep very long?”
“No, I was almost out,” she responded.
“Good,” he crumpled around her. After the night they’d had, he needed the rest.
A few hours later, her phone alarm sounded waking them both. They were supposed to catch the last flight out and go back to reality, something they hadn’t really had a chance to talk about yet. It had been a very long time since he had “dated” anyone and he’d practically asked her to move in with him… He did assume since they had already spent so much time together, that there couldn’t be much about her habits that would bother him. They’d seen each other at their worst possible moments and she had still been the one that he wanted to turn to.
You liked to keep your room cold when you slept, there was just something about it that you liked. Being snuggled and cozy under the covers just felt good. When you went back to your room, you’d had the intention of watching some Travel Channel shows, get comfy with the extra blanket and catch a little nap before you started working on your article and editing pictures for the event page update. You could type like the wind, but you had to have a nap.
Rich came into the room, trying to be quiet, but was woefully unsuccessful. He climbed onto the bed with you and wrapped himself around you. His warmth enveloped you and before you knew it, you were asleep. When you woke up, your life with Richard would finally begin.
Rich was all too pleased to be looking for a place for the both of you and Ollie. He was a homebody, family guy, and you loved that about him, but you didn’t understand why you couldn’t just stay in your little house. He’d been slowly invading your home over the last several months as it was, spending more and more time at your place.
“Gorgeous, how am I going to practice and not blast you out?” he asked as he walked around the living space with his guitar on, gently strumming as he wandered.
Looking around at the mess, crammed into the small space that had become your lives, you finally relented to being serious about looking for a place you could share together. He followed you around, still strumming a little tune, narrating your thought process.
“Will she see what I see?... Our lives were meant to be… But not in a place so wee…”
When you turned to him, the look on your face told him he’d won the argument.
You stood inside a home that was fairly new and far larger and more expensive than anything you would ever have dreamed of having with Rich. The house you’d had with Brady had been on a similar scale and you had never really been comfortable in it. It wasn’t that you couldn’t afford the home, it was just that it was too much. Too big. Too expensive. Too far off your style. Rich stood next to you, holding your hand, fingers interlaced, shoulder to shoulder.
Taking in the massive two-story entry you whispered to Rich, “It’s so big.”
He couldn’t help himself, “I love it when you say that to me.”
“Rich!” you elbowed him.
The realtor had just barely gotten to the house before you and was bustling about, out of earshot, giving the house a quick check before showing you around.
Rich, always amused at how modest you could be, was still chuckling next to you, his eyes all crinkles and sparkles.
“You sure are cute when you’re all pink,” the humor still in his voice.
“Do you think we need a place this…spacious?” you asked.
Rich thought of the family that would come to visit, the friends that came in from out of town, and how (Y|N) and her friends would get into heated Monopoly battles that could run into the early hours of the morning. He had plans and they included (Y|N) going decades down the line…
“We don’t have to get a place this big, but I want to have a place big enough for all of the things we like to do with family and friends. I know it’s a lot, but we can handle it and we can start the life we should have been living over a year ago,” he said.
(Y|N) worried too much and he felt like it was his duty to keep things light and easy for her. She worked really hard and deserved the rest of her life to be easy. She would joke about being “just and accountant,” when she was quite accomplished. She worked for a financial planning and investment firm where she was quite successful. The reason her bosses let her go to so many conventions was because she was so good at her job and brought in a lot of revenue for the company. When she wasn’t working at the convention, she spent most of her free time reading about anything and everything, researching, so she could do her job better. The conventions were still work, but, she’d said before that it was more fun for her than anything. Everything about her just made him want to give her all of the best things.
“Rich, I don’t need some fancy address and house. I just need something that works for the both of us,” you told him.
Christmastime had come, and you and Rich had just barely gotten settled into your house. After the decision had been made to wait for the right property, things had gone smoothly for the both of you. Life went on. You worked hard, Rich worked hard, and your relationship had only gotten stronger. It had taken a little longer than either of you would have liked to find the right property, but the wait had proven to be worth it.
You stood in your kitchen while preparing a salad for your guests. Your house was fully decorated for your first Christmas with the love of your life. Decorations were everywhere. Rich had come home from a work trip away and the house had exploded with Christmas. At first, he’d teased you about it, but you knew that a part of him loved what you had done.
It had been his idea to have a housewarming/Christmas party for all your Supernatural friends. Surprisingly, almost all of them had been able to make it to the party. The house was about bursting at the seams with all the people, but it felt right that they were all there. Rich was in his element with some of his best friends surrounding him. He looked up at you for a moment and smiled at you.
After dinner had been served and everyone was stuffed, Rich and Rob gathered some guitars and brought them out to the living room. Your get-togethers always seemed to spawn a jam session, especially when Rob came over. As a person who was not musically inclined, nor could you sing very well, you tended to hang back when the jam sessions began.
You leaned on the archway that led to a small sunroom. The space was cooler, and you were more comfortable without the crowd of people around you. You stood there for a while, enjoying the music your family made. Rich tended to get lost in the music but eventually realized you weren’t around when they took a break from playing Christmas songs.
The previous home owners had left behind wicker furniture for the sunroom and you had been sitting on the small loveseat looking at the Christmas tree you had set up in there. It was decorated with Shiny Brite ornaments and old-style colored lightbulbs. It might be your favorite tree you’d decorated. Noticing the music had stopped, you got up to see what was going on and almost bumped into Richard.
“Missed you, gorgeous,” he said, handing you a fresh drink.
“I get too hot, sorry,” you apologized. “You guys sounded great.”
You looked into his hazel eyes and felt a melting, swirling sensation take over your body. He didn’t have to do anything but look at you and feel the love coming from him. His expression softened whenever he looked at you, his eyes turning to a deep golden color.
“Coulda used you for backup,” he said.
You’d sung with him at home before, but it was only small harmonizing parts. The convention was your one foray into bravery, and that had been close to a year before.
“You’re so sweet to me,” you said as he wrapped an arm around you pulling you close.
“My god, woman, you’ve made Christmas explode in this house,” he said admiring the vintage ornaments. “I think I like this one the best.”
“Clearly, you have good taste,” you said, tucking yourself into his side, resting your chin on his shoulder.
“The whole house looks amazing. You’re amazing,” he kissed your temple. He sighed against your temple, “I do have good taste.”
He broke away from you after a moment, making you miss the contact with him. You kind of wished your friends would go home or go to one of your guest rooms. There was something about the living room with all the decorations and the fire going that was exceedingly cozy and romantic, and you wanted to share it with Richard.
“I know it’s not Christmas yet, but I wanted to give you something early,” he said. “Don’t go anywhere.”
He dashed away and went to the coat closet by the front door. Finding what he was looking for, he came trotting back, his hair lifting slightly with his speed. He looked especially handsome with his hair cut short and neatly trimmed beard. You didn’t ask him, or anyone, to wear an “ugly Christmas sweater,” but he was wearing one anyway, and so were a lot of your friends. It was just how Rich worked and you loved it.
He carried a package in his hands that was wrapped in the pretty wrapping paper you’d bought for the gifts you’d planned on giving out that year. You hadn’t even realized he knew where you’d stashed it. The present he carried was a medium-size, rectangular box that looked like it had been wrapped by a 6-year-old.
Handing the present to you, his eyes met your questioning ones, “I’ve owed you this a long time.”
Taking it back into the sunroom, you sat down on the loveseat and put the present on your lap, so you could start unwrapping it. Despite it being a larger box, you couldn’t help but wonder what was inside. You wouldn’t put it past Rich to hide a box within a box. Not bothering to go easy with the wrapping paper, you tore into it, dying to see what Rich couldn’t wait to give you.
With the paper torn away, you sat there stunned. It happened all those years ago and he remembered. It was exactly the same camera you had borrowed from your local camera shop for your vacation to Vancouver, nearly 12 years prior. It was the camera that Rich had knocked out of your hands and broke beyond repair.
“Oh my god, Rich,” you were dumbfounded. “You remembered. I - I don’t know what to say.”
“Gorgeous, you don’t have to say a word. It’s me that needs to do the talking,” he took a breath. “I never thought that breaking a camera would have turned out like this. I was such a clumsy idiot, running my mouth, I didn’t see the most gorgeous woman I’d ever know. I don’t just remember the camera, I remember everything about that day. The headband ear warmer thingy, the blue jacket, I think you still have the boots… We sat there with Rick and I remember thinking that no matter what happened, I had to get to know you. I needed you in my life. I didn’t know why I felt like that, just knew you and I were supposed to be together, somehow.”
You weren’t one to get emotional over things, but his story had touched you and was starting to get to you. He remembered the stupid headband you’d worn? You’d forgotten you even had it. Rich definitely wasn’t one to get emotional or overly touchy-feely about anything, so to hear him go on the way he was, was truly amazing. Not wanting to stop him, you sat quietly, letting him continue.
“I know I’ve never really said it, but I’ve always felt it. I love you, (Y|N). I love you with everything I’ve got. I hope it didn’t take me saying it for you to know,” his voice was full of emotion.
No matter what he said, or didn’t say, your love for Rich only grew.
“Turn it on, check it out,” he prompted.
The grin that played at his lips made you turn on the camera.
“That’s weird,” he said, pointing at the picture counter, it showed that there were pictures on the card. “They told me this was a new camera.”
“That IS weird,” you agreed, pushing the button to bring up the gallery.
The first few pictures were what you assumed were stock photos, but something caught your eye. You went back to the first picture, it was then you realized that the pictures were all of you, or Rich, through the years you had known him, many of them from conventions. The one that shocked you was the one of you and Rich at the bar on the pier. You didn’t even know Rick had taken the picture. In the picture, Rich was leaning over, talking to you, and you were leaned in toward him, a grin on your face as you listened to him.
“Oh Richard,” you gasped, still looking though the pictures. “How did you even…”
“Keep going, there’s more,” he said, shifting his weight on the love seat, before settling in again, putting his arm around you on the backrest.
The next picture was of you and he earlier that night. You and he were locked in a gaze, both of you smiling, so much love on your faces.
“My god, is that what we look like?” you asked in a whisper.
You could feel Rich nodding, “Briana says we’re gross.”
The next picture took your breath away. You were so shocked, you almost dropped your brand-new camera. Looking up at Rich, he moved to take the camera out of your hands. Setting the camera aside, he held up the thing you’d seen in the picture. It sparkled in the light from the Christmas tree. It was small, and round, and held a single diamond.
“Whadya say, gorgeous, will you marry me?”
Briana, noticing that Rich and (Y|N) hadn’t been around for a while, went to go look for her friends. Kim caught up to Briana where she had stopped by the archway that led to the sunroom.
“Did you find them?” Kim asked as she got close. “What did she say?”
Briana couldn’t wipe the grin off her face. Her two friends were making out like teenagers and the glint of diamond shone off (Y|N)’s left hand.
“Judging by the make out sesh, I think she said yes.”

I Know Your Wife - Masterpost
Your name: submit What is this? // <![CDATA[ document.getElementById("submit").addEventListener('click', myHandler); function myHandler() { var v = document.body.innerHTML; var input = document.getElementById("inputTxt").value; v = v.replace(/\by\/n\b|\(y\/n\)/ig, input); document.body.innerHTML = v; } // ]]>
In the morning, you woke to your phone blowing up with notifications.
Someone had taken pictures of you and Gen, dancing and kissing in the final bar, and spread them around.
You sighed when you saw them, waking Genevieve up to show her what was being said, but she just shrugged and fell back into the pillows.
“We had fun,” she murmured. “They’re just jealous I got to party with the hottest cowgirl in town.”
You laughed, putting your phone down and kissing her softly.
“More jealous of me, getting to make out with Kris Furillo’s older, sexier body double,” you smiled, slapping her ass through the comforter as you got to your feet, stretching your arms above your head and making your jersey ride up. “I should probably watch Wildfire at some point.”
“You’re a tease,” she complained as you pulled the hem back down, grinning at her. “You’ve not even seen my season of Supernatural.”
“I don’t have a lot of free time,” you reasoned. “I’ve got a baby and a show.”
“Next hiatus we’ll do a catch up of all of our acting disasters,” she told you, watching as you pulled on a pair of shorts. “Jay and Grandpa Ackles did a real interesting movie a few years back that he hates us bringing up.”
“Can’t wait,” you smiled. “I’m gonna check on Dal and Jared.”
“I’m gonna grab ten more minutes,” she mumbled. “Remember to pump if your boobs get heavy, and-”
“Don’t breastfeed until this afternoon,” you finished for her, and she hummed in agreement.
“My girlfriend is the smartest,” she murmured, her voice muffled by her pillow as you left the room.
Genevieve had to fly back to Austin on Thursday morning, leaving everything back to normal in your Vancouver home.
You and Jared were both working long hours to make up for your time off, leaving yourself tired and your daughter grouchy.
“In a week, we’ll be in Hawaii, then it’ll be Thanksgiving break,” Jared reminded you the next Friday when you were getting ready for bed. “We’ve got some real time off.”
“I know,” you smiled tiredly, leaning up to kiss him when Dallas started crying.
You sunk back down onto your heels, resting your forehead on his chest as he wrapped his arms around your shoulders.
“She’s so grumpy lately,” you complained, and he laughed softly as he kissed the top of your head.
“She’s a baby,” he smiled, kissing your temple as he pulled back. “I’ve got this, get into bed.”
“You sure?” you clarified, already pulling back the covers.
“I’m sure,” he promised. “I’ll be back in a minute.”
You never got to Hawaii, not even for the convention.
You were scrolling through your twitter feed after work on Monday when you came across Danneel’s retweet of Sophia’s post sharing an article from Variety.
Reading the title, ‘One Tree Hill’ Cast, Crew Accuse Showrunner Mark Schwahn of Sexual Harassment, had bile rising in your throat.
Just three paragraphs in, you dropped your phone, running to the bathroom to half throw up, half sob into the toilet bowl.
You were still crying when Jensen appeared in the doorway, leaning against the frame and watching you in concern.
“You’re not pregnant again already, are you?” he asked, teasing.
You sniffed, wiping your mouth with some tissue before flushing the toilet, getting to your feet and walking across to the basin.
You splashed some water on your face, swilling some around in your mouth to get rid of the horrible taste before spitting into the sink and rinsing it down.
“Kiddo?” Jensen probed, the teasing gone from his tone. “What’s up?”
“She-” you cleared your throat, swallowing down the ache. “She had to work with him.”
He instantly knew what you were referring to, pulling you into a comforting embrace.
“I know, sweetheart,” he whispered, resting his cheek on top of your head. “I know.”
You were crying against his shirt but he didn’t care, whispering reassurances to you as his hand stroked your back.
“I hate him,” you sniffed, and Jensen held you tighter.
“Me too, kiddo,” he agreed. “Did you- did you read the letter?”
You shook your head against him, trying to stop crying.
“I only got a few lines into the article,” you admitted, and he nodded, pulling back enough to kiss your temple.
“Dee signed a letter, calling him out,” he explained, his voice soft. “Sophia and Hil wrote most of it, but so many of them signed it. It’s tough but they’re going to make a difference. It’s… it’s a tough read, but they’re finally able to speak out.”
“Yeah,” you breathed, sniffing.
“Yeah,” he echoed as he pulled back, looking into your eyes.
“I hate men,” you grumbled, earning a soft laugh as he tucked you under his arm and lead you out of the bathroom.
“You sound just like your mama,” he murmured, and you huffed a laugh.
“Good,” you told him. “She’s the strongest person I know.”
He smiled, kissing the top of your head and rubbing your shoulder.
“You and me, both.”
Jared was in the nursery - reading ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ to Dallas, his soothing voice sending her to sleep - when you finally got around to reading the whole article without having to stop to sob or run to the bathroom.
Your heart was broken, knowing what Danneel had suffered through, and all you wanted was to be close to her.
But you were in Vancouver and she was thousands of miles away, in a timezone that meant it was too late to call or facetime, leaving you with no option but to curl up in bed and cry.
You cried for all of the women who had signed that letter. You cried for your family and close friends. You cried for the complete strangers, named and unnamed. You cried for the injustice of it all.
A part of you, pushing its way to the forefront of your mind, cried with relief.
Relief that they’d spoken out, relief that they were finally able to fight back, and relief that you didn’t have to suffer that way on your ‘big break’ show.
You felt guilty for even thinking it, but the idea that you could’ve had someone like him running Supernatural, in charge of your career, made you nauseous all over again.
You could have left Oklahoma, thinking you’d left everything bad behind you, only to find the same thing happening to you in the place that was supposed to be your fresh start; your clean slate.
You didn’t know how long you’d been silently crying when you felt the bed dip beside you.
Jared sat against the headboard, gently rolling you over so that your head was in his lap. You were still curled up, your knees as far to your chest as they could go, but you rested an arm over his thighs as his hand began to stroke through your hair.
Eventually, your tears dried up and you found yourself laying in silence, numbness filling your body.
“You don’t have to come to Maui, you know?” Jared told you, his voice soft.
You pulled back, pushing yourself to sit up as you looked at him, wiping your cheeks with your sleeve.
“You don’t even have to come to Honolulu,” he continued. “Creation will understand, so will Gen and I.”
“We’ve been… we’ve planned this for weeks,” you protested weakly. “Our first vacation.”
“And of course we’d love it if you came,” he agreed. “But we understand if you need to be with Danneel.”
You swallowed, not knowing what to say as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you into his side.
“This… your reaction to everything,” Jared paused, trying to find the right words. “Kiddo, if you need your mama, you need your mama. There’s no shame in wanting to go home- wanting to be with her. I get it.”
“The fans-”
“The fans will understand, Y/N,” he promised, his lips against the top of your head. “I’ve had to leave conventions early before, and everyone gets over it.”
You wrapped your arms around his middle, leaning further into him.
“I’m not saying you have to go to Texas,” he clarified, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “I don’t want you to think I’m telling you you can’t come to Hawaii. I just want you to know that the option is there, and nobody will think any less of you for taking it.”
You didn’t know how to reply, but Jared didn’t need you to as he started to slowly trail his fingers up and down your arm in a comforting movement.
“We still have a couple days,” he whispered, his fingers stilling as he wrapped a strong arm over your shoulders and pulled you closer. “Just think about it.”
You nodded, still unable to form an audible response, but you didn’t need time to think about it.
You knew where you needed to be.
Danneel and the twins greeted you at the airport on Thursday lunchtime and, the second you saw them, tears started to well in your eyes.
You let go of Dallas’ stroller as you reached them, throwing your arms around Danneel and burying your face in her neck
“Hey, shh,” she soothed as you felt yourself begin to cry. “You’re okay.”
“Are you?” you asked, pulling back and cradling her face in your hands, checking her over. “Are you-”
“I’m alright, sweetheart,” she promised, kissing your forehead. “Let’s get you home.”
She took over Dallas’ stroller as you took the twins’, looking down into their gorgeous eyes and sniffing back your tears.
“You guys need to stop growing every time I look away,” you mumbled, stroking Arrow’s cheek as she was in the top basket.
“You’re telling me,” Danneel agreed, looking down at Dallas. “Two seconds ago she was a newborn.”
“Yeah,” you murmured, starting towards the exit. “Taking after her daddy already.”
You had a few hours alone with Danneel and the babies, during which she talked to you more about the article and what happened while she was working on One Tree Hill.
It hurt to hear her talking about it, to see her reliving the moments, but she assured you that now was the time for them to come forward; that they were already making such a difference by talking out about it.
“Besides,” she had reminded you, her arm around your shoulders as she kissed your temple, “I had great friends around me at the time, and I’ve got an incredible family with me now. I’m good, kiddo.”
By the time Danneel’s phone alarm went off, telling you that it was time to pick up JJ, the two of you were smiling and joking with each other.
“I didn’t tell JJ that you were coming,” she told you as you strapped the babies into their car seats. “She’s gonna freak out.”
“I can’t wait to see her,” you smiled, checking over Dallas’ seat as Danneel did the same for the twins.
You leaned in to kiss Dallas’ cheek, shutting the door before climbing into the passenger seat and smiling across at Danneel.
“Let’s get going,” she grinned, starting the ignition.
You were grinning as you watched the kids file out of the preschool classroom from your seat in the car, running excitedly towards their parents and carers to talk about their days.
You were waiting in the car with the babies to prolong the surprise, but your grin changed to a soft frown when you noticed that JJ wasn’t as enthusiastic to see her mom as she usually was.
You stayed quiet while Danneel helped her into her carseat, and JJ didn’t offer any kind of conversation either.
Once Danneel got behind the wheel, she turned back to face the kids.
“JJ, are you gonna say hi to your sister?” she prompted, and you turned around to smile at her.
“Hi,” she murmured, looking out the window.
“Hey, kiddo,” you responded, turning back to Danneel. “What-?”
“I don’t know,” she replied, starting up the car again. “She won’t tell me anything.”
JJ was sitting quietly in the front room when you and Danneel had finished getting the babies out of the car.
Danneel took Dallas from your arms, nodding towards JJ.
“See if you can get her to talk?” she requested, and you smiled sadly.
“I hate seeing her like this.”
“Me too,” she agreed, kissing your cheek. “But if anyone can get her to feel better, it’s her big sister.”
You hoped she was right as you made your way through to the front room, sitting down on the floor opposite JJ.
“Hey, Texas,” you murmured, lightly knocking her chin with a knuckle so that she looked at you. “You wanna tell me what happened today?”
JJ nodded, her lip starting to quiver as her eyes filled with tears.
“Oh, sweetheart,” you breathed, cupping her cheek in your palm. “What’s wrong?”
She sniffed, leaning into you for a hug.
You wrapped your arms around her, kissing the top of her head and waiting for her to talk.
“I was- I was playin’ with the truck,” she began, sniffing and speaking against your top. “And Ben stole it from me while I was playin’.”
You swallowed thickly, already furious with this ‘Ben’ character.
“Did you tell him you were still playing with it?” you asked, and she nodded against you before pulling back.
She still had tears in her eyes and you wanted nothing more than to make them go away.
“I said I was playin’ and that he could have it after me,” she told you, sniffing. “I’ve learned sharin’ and I know that it’s important so I said he could have it when I was done but he just took it. And I told Miss Daisy because I was still playin’ and he stole it but she- she-”
“What did she say, kiddo?” you asked kindly.
“She said he was just bein’ a boy and I’m a mature lady and I don’t need to get upset about it,” she told you, trying to wipe her own tears.
You saw red, trying not to get angry because you didn’t want JJ to feel any worse.
“Alright, baby,” you breathed, taking her hands in your own. “I want you to listen to me, okay?”
“Mhm,” she nodded, still sniffing.
“‘Boys will be boys’ is not an acceptable excuse for mean behaviour, and I’ll be having a chat with Miss Daisy about that tomorrow,” you explained, and JJ nodded again. “If you told Ben that he couldn’t have the truck yet, he shouldn’t have taken it without your conse- without your permission.”
You cleared your throat, trying to keep your tone steady.
“No means no, kiddo.”
“No means no,” she repeated, and you nodded.
“That’s right,” you agreed, ruffling her hair until she smiled slightly. “So, what do you say next time another kid takes the toy you’re playing with without permission?”
“I say ‘no means no’,” she told you.
“That’s right, and you take the toy back.”
“I take it back,” she nodded, and you smiled, tapping her nose.
“Yep,” you confirmed, “Because you never let anyone take away your decisions or your voice.”
“No means no,” JJ murmured, and you kissed her cheek.
“Alright, Tex, go wash your face,” you told her, getting to your feet and pulling JJ up with you, “Put on some comfy clothes, ‘kay?”
She smiled, running off to do as you asked after stopping to hug Danneel’s legs in the doorway.
Danneel still had Dallas in her arms as she stepped into the room, watching you with a concerned expression.
You shrugged softly, folding your arms.
“I fixed her bad mood,” you explained, and she nodded.
“You did, thank you,” she hedged, biting her lip. “What was all that about?”
“She needs to know that it’s not okay for boys to walk all over her,” you shrugged defensively. “I’m gonna talk to her teacher-”
“I agree, and I’ll go with you,” Danneel told you, “But, Dits… the whole ‘no means no’ talk…”
You swallowed, taking a step back when you realised what she was getting at.
Danneel took a tentative step towards you, concern furrowing her brow.
“Talk to me,” she requested softly. “What happened?”
You shrugged, looking away.
“Nothing,” you murmured. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
One look at her face told you that Danneel wasn’t buying it.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” you tried, your voice soft.
“Oh, sweetheart,” she sighed. “You can tell me anything.”
You swallowed again, looking down at the floor.
“Come on, it’s me,” she pleaded. “You’re my baby. Let me help you.”
As soon as the words left her lips, she could see your expression change.
“I’m not your baby,” you spat, causing Danneel to flinch slightly. “You’re not my real mom.”
Danneel nodded, her hold on Dallas tightening protectively as your demeanor changed.
“I know that, sweetheart,” she offered softly, “I know-”
“No, you don’t know,” you snapped, and Danneel’s mouth suddenly shut in shock as you started to shout. “You don’t know what it was like. You don’t have any idea what it was like! You weren’t there, so stop acting like you know me when all you’ve ever seen is ‘Ditto Ackles’, because - guess what?”
Danneel had never seen you like this before, her heart was pounding hard and fast inside her chest as she let you continue to rant.
You stepped back, motioning around the room.
“This isn’t me,” you told her, harshly. “This… this whole thing is bullshit! ‘Ditto’ is bullshit. The ‘me’ you know is a fucking lie. So I’m sorry that I’m not ready to let you in on all my deep dark secrets just because you’ve ‘known’ me for five whole minutes.”
You stopped, your chest heaving as Danneel looked at you as if she’d never even met you - as if you were a stranger in her home.
The two of you faced each other for a while, both too stubborn to break eye contact.
This was new territory for Danneel. JJ was still too young to argue with her to such an extent, but she knew in that moment that you needed a parent.
Not to hug you and tell you everything was okay, but to set boundaries and let you know when you’d crossed them. To set rules for your own benefit and to inflict consequences when you acted out.
Danneel squared her shoulders and set her jaw, rearranging Dallas so that your daughter was against her chest.
Dallas balled her fists, snuggling in against Danneel’s neck as she was moved.
“It’s a good thing I’m not your real mom,” Danneel spoke, taking you by surprise. “I hate to think what she’d’ve done if you ever spoke to her like that.”
You swallowed, finally breaking eye contact.
“But you do not get to talk to me like that,” she continued, her voice even and strong. “I know you’re hurting. I don’t know why because you refuse to talk to me, but I appreciate that you’re dealing with something huge. Whatever it is, whenever you’re ready, I’m here to listen. Judgement free. But you never speak to me like that again, you hear me?”
You nodded, still looking at the floor.
“Look at me,” she demanded, and you obliged with wide, frightened eyes. “I haven’t known you forever, you’re right. But I’m your mother, and you used to respect that.”
You swallowed, dumbstruck.
You couldn’t believe that you’d said all of that, that you’d blown up at her in order to protect yourself from telling her everything.
“Dee, I’m sorry,” you breathed, “I-”
“I don’t want to hear it,” she cut you off.
Every bone in her body was telling her to let you know that you were forgiven, to give you a hug and assure you that everything would be okay, but she didn’t.
You needed discipline; you needed order.
“Go to your room,” she told you, and you blinked at her. “Now, please.”
“Give me my daughter,” you requested.
Danneel didn’t move, hoping that you’d just go upstairs and calm down without her, but you took a step forward and held out your arms.
“Give her to me,” you repeated. “Please.”
She handed her over, and you were instantly grounded by the weight of your daughter in your arms.
Danneel stepped out of your way, and by the time you got to the top of the stairs you had tears in your eyes.
By the time you got to your bedroom, you were crying.
Dallas was fussing in your arms as you sat on your bed, and you tried to shush her through your own tears.
“It’s okay, baby girl,” you murmured, kissing the top of her head. “Mama’s okay. You’re okay.”
You took a few breaths, trying to calm down for the sake of both yourself and your daughter.
“I’m so sorry for shouting,” you whispered, stroking her hair. “You’re not allowed to repeat any of my behaviour. Or any bad words you might’ve heard.”
Dallas blinked, looking up at you with gorgeous eyes.
“You’ve gotta respect Dee, too,” you sighed, leaning against the headboard. “She’s the best thing that ever happened to us and we should remember that.”
You sniffed as you heard a little knock on the door, looking up to see JJ peeking into the room.
“Hey, kiddo,” you sighed. “I’m in trouble so I can’t play right now.”
“I know,” she told you, walking in.
You laid Dallas down on the bed next to you, frowning slightly at JJ.
“I’m just sayin’ I love ya,” she told you, climbing up into bed to hug you.
You hugged back, resting your chin on top of her head.
“I love you, Texas,” you assured her, closing your eyes.
She held you for a moment before you pushed her back, kissing her cheek.
“Now get out of here before I get you in trouble.”
She laughed softly, leaning down to kiss Dallas’ forehead before leaving the room as quickly as she entered.
You carefully laid down, moving onto your side and lifting Dallas so that she was laying on her back beside you.
Her eyes were blinking heavily, and you smiled softly as she let out a big yawn.
“Think we both need a bit of a nap, huh?” you murmured, letting her hold your finger as you leant into the pillows. “It’s been a long day for both of us.”
You woke to the sound of your bedroom door opening.
Your eyes fluttered open to see that Dallas was still snoozing beside you, her expression content and calm, and a soft smile fell over your face.
The door closing reminded you what had woken you up, and you carefully pushed yourself to sit without disturbing your daughter.
Danneel entered, a steaming mug in her hands and a soft smile on her face.
“Hey, sweetheart,” she murmured, placing the hot tea down on your nightstand and perching beside you on your mattress.
“Hi,” you whispered, looking down at your hands.
“I love you,” she told you, smiling sadly. “I love you so much. But you can’t talk to me like you did.”
“I know,” you sniffed, your voice hoarse, “I’m sorry, I-”
“I know you are,” she promised. “I know. I love you, and I’m worried about you. You can’t shut me out.”
You nodded, feeling yourself start to cry again.
“Oh, baby,” she breathed, moving closer and pulling you into a hug.
She held you until your tears dried up, until Dallas’ soft grunts of waking up broke the two of you apart.
Danneel picked up your daughter, shushing her in her arms as she smiled down at her.
“I gave her your name,” you murmured, watching the two of them. “I wanted her to grow up with your grace, and your kindness. I wanted her to know that her mama’s mama means everything to us, and I just-”
“It’s okay,” Danneel insisted, cutting you off. “You lashed out, I forgive you. It’s okay.”
“It’s not,” you whispered. “It’s not okay. You’ve taken me in, you’ve taught me what it means to be a parent, and I just threw it all back at you because I didn’t want to talk.”
Danneel nodded, swallowing around nothing as she looked down at your daughter before looking back at you.
“You can tell me anything,” she reminded you. “You can talk to me.”
You nodded, clenching your jaw and looking back down at your hands.
“I wish I was your real daughter,” you admitted, biting a hangnail.
“Honey, you are my real daughter,” she assured you, pulling your hand away from your mouth.
“But I’ll always be adopted,” you reasoned. “And… and she will always be my birth mother. I hate that I come from her. I hate that I can get like her. Why couldn’t I come from you?”
You sounded so young, so sad, that it broke Danneel’s heart to hear you.
“Oh, my girl,” she whispered. “I wish, with all my heart, that I could’ve carried you inside me.”
You nodded, a tear falling down your cheek.
Danneel caught it with her thumb before you had a chance to wipe it, keeping one hand cupping your face while the other held Dallas.
“Sometimes, I-” she sighed, stroking your cheek. “I feel guilty that I wasn’t there from the moment you were born.”
She was looking at you, her eye contact constant but not intimidating so you didn’t feel the need to look away. She was opening up to you and letting you in, even after everything.
“You only carry a baby in your belly for nine months,” she continued, moving her hand from your cheek to hold Dallas as she shifted her position on the bed. “But you carry your child in your heart forever. That’s the place that it counts.”
You nodded, breaking eye contact only to look down at your daughter who was watching Danneel intently.
“You do come from me,” Danneel insisted, “And from Jay. And giving birth to you… that wouldn’t have made me love you any more than I already do.”
“Really?” you whispered, and she shrugged.
“Would it make you love me any more?”
“No,” you answered instantly. “That’s crazy.”
“Okay,” she nodded. “So how about we both stop acting crazy, huh?”
You nodded, wiping your eyes with the heel of your hand.
“Alright, come here.”
Danneel held her arm out to you and you fitted yourself against her side, leaning your head on her shoulder.
You sniffed as she turned her head to kiss the top of yours, trying not to cry.
You wanted to tell her everything, but you couldn’t. Not yet.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, looking down at Dallas. “I’m not… I’m not ready.”
“That’s okay,” Danneel replied with the same softness, kissing your forehead. “I’ll be here whenever you are, my love. I’m always only a phone call away.”
Let me know what you think!

Padalecki, Party of Three
Written for @impalaimagining and her Girlfriend? series... (all photo credit to their creator/artist - found on google and Pinterest). This is fiction y’all, no disrespect to Jared or his family.
“Jared, Jensen, Hi! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to sit down with me today,” Jill greeted the boys as they sat down with her for the interview.
“No problem,” Jared and Jensen said at the same time, making ‘Winsync’ a real thing with these two.
“So Jared, let’s start with you. Congratulations are in order on the birth of your new baby boy. How are you enjoying fatherhood so far?” Jill asked expectantly.
“Oh man, fatherhood is such a trip! All the little clothes and the teeny tiny socks that he wears; everything about him is just so small! But yeah, he is a great baby, but I have to give my fiancee all the credit on that. She is an amazing mom and we are so lucky to have her,” Jared gushed, his face nearly splitting, he was smiling so wide.
“What details can you tell us about his birth?” Jill queried.
“Ha, this is gonna be good! Buckle up!” Jensen slapped Jared on the back and waited for his friend to start spilling.
“This is a great story that my fiancee is going to hate me for telling! So we are on set and everything is going great. We are on schedule for once but that is how the runners know babies are coming; we are all business so we don’t run late while on ‘Baby Watch’ with only three and a half weeks to go. Taylor calls me, and it is fairly early, to let me know her contractions started but were pretty far apart; like almost a half an hour apart. So at this point everything is fine, she is good. She tells me to keep my phone on and I know today is going to be the day, ya know? The day I am gonna be a dad.
“So three, four hours go by and I keep checking my phone to make sure I didn’t miss any calls from her when all of a sudden it rings. This loud, and I mean LOUD, annoying alarm ring tone that someone decided would be funny. Yeah, I am looking at you, ya jackass!” Jared turns to look at Jensen.
Jensen remains seated next to his friend, but now his shoulders are shaking so hard as he tries not laugh, but failed miserably.
“You should’ve seen his face!” Jensen giggled.
“Yeah, laugh it up Jackles! Your twins were scheduled to be born; you knew exactly when you needed to be there and you still almost missed it!” Jared playfully punched Jensen in the arm.
“Her contractions are still a about eight to ten minutes apart but she wants me to come home. And I panic! I’m like ‘Fuck!’ So I turn to Jackles, my eyes wide with fear and he just grabs my jacket and starts pulling me along. Clif is running ahead of us and he has the SUV started before I am even in it! I tell her I will be home in four minutes! But Clif drives like an old man and it took more than six!
“I get in the house and she is all calm and cool, but I can tell she is really nervous and so am I. Clif stays and I made us some lunch and I am timing her contractions and had Clif drive us to the hospital once they were six minutes apart. I didn’t want to wait any longer than that. I wanted us to be surrounded by professionals for the rest of it. Because to be honest and I never told Taylor this, but I was scared shitless. Jensen knew, because he had been there three kids ago. But I had no clue what the fuck I was doing or what I was supposed to do.
“I made some calls, to Jackles and our parents, but then I looked over and I saw her laying there, beautiful as can be and I remembered how lucky I really am that this is my life. And then just a couple hours later, our little boy, Patrick Daniel, entered the world,” Jared teared up slightly and Jensen patted the back of his head. “And I sustained minimal injuries.”
“Thank you so much for sharing that with everyone, Jared. Can we see his picture?” Jill hoped Jared would say yes and he turned his phone toward her. “Supernatural family, here is the very first picture of Patrick Daniel. Congratulations, Padalecki, party of three!”

I know it's only been a few hours but where is our cockles arm wrestling fic, with some witty banter and the winner gets a blowjob
“Babe, check Misha’s Twitter,” Danneel calls from the kitchen.
“I’m a little busy right now!” Jensen shouts back as he buttons a onesie over Arrow’s belly.
“It’s really important!” Danneel argues.
Jensen rushes with Zeppelin’s diaper and onesie and then sets the twins in their cribs. They’re good sleepers, so they don’t require too much attention at bedtime. Still, Jensen sits close by while they fuss, and pulls out his phone.
He scrolls aimlessly through Misha’s Twitter wondering what he’s supposed to be looking for when suddenly his thumb freezes right over a picture of his friend in a tight black t-shirt. Jensen immediately brings the phone closer to his face and zooms in on Misha’s chest.
“Fuck,” he says under his breath.
His eyes nearly bug out of his head when he sees the video of Misha wrapped around a poll with his pecs popping. He just saw the guy a month ago, how could he have possibly gotten so jacked in that short of a time.
Once the twins are out cold, Jensen sneaks out of the room and finds Danneel and J.J. in the kitchen. He goes up behind Danneel and puts his hands on her hips.
“Did you know he looked like that?” he whispers in her ear.
“He told me he’s been working out a little more, but I guess he was underselling himself. Are the twins down?”
“Yeah, they’re good.” He pulls the baby monitor out of his back pocket and sets it on the counter. “I’m not gonna see him until San Diego.”
“Aw babe, I’m sorry. That’s a long time to wait before you get to squeeze those biceps.”
Jensen moves away from Danneel, leans back against the counter and watches J.J. filling in a coloring book at the kitchen table.
“Oh my god, Jensen, we can have sex tonight if it’ll make you feel better.”
He rolls his eyes. “I’m fine. I just–he just–he should’ve told me he was working out. It would’ve been nice to, you know, be prepared or whatever.”
Danneel bursts out laughing but quickly covers her mouth to keep quiet. Their house might be big, but the twins always wake up at the sound of their parents’ voices.
“What’s funny, Mommy?” J.J. asks, turning around in her chair to look between the two of them.
“Nothing, sweetie, Daddy just made a funny joke. It’s almost time to get ready for bed, OK?”
“A month. A fucking month,” Jensen mutters under his breath.
A month later, Jensen runs into Misha in their hotel lobby in San Diego, and he definitely doesn’t ogle his button up and jacket in hopes that he’ll magically be able to see through them.
“It’s 80 degrees outside, Mish,” Jensen greets.
A slow grin spreads across Misha’s face. “Don’t worry, I have a ticket for you.”
“What?”
“For the gun show later.”
Jensen’s entire face heats up. “I’m gonna kill Danneel.”
Misha winks at him and walks away.
Later that night, much, much later, they’re all hanging out in Jared’s hotel room together. Jensen is five and a half drinks in.
“Dude, Misha, what’s going on with you?” Jared asks as Misha removes his jacket on the other side of the room. “Why are you so buff all of a sudden?”
The whole room goes kind of quiet as they look to Misha for some kind of explanation. He’s now only wearing a Family Business Beer Co. t-shirt and it’s at least two sizes too small. Even from 10 feet away, Jensen can see the way the hem of the sleeve is straining not to give up and tear against Misha’s bicep.
Misha shrugs. “I don’t know, I started lifting. Is it really that noticeable?” His eyes flicker over to Jensen then back to Jared.
“That depends on what size t-shirt that is,” Rich cuts in.
Misha looks down at himself. “Um, I think it’s a large. Jens, what’d you send me?”
“A large,” Jensen responds, but his voice breaks as if he’s about to cry.
“Are you OK, Jensen?” Rob asks sincerely.
Rob is sitting right next to Jensen, so it’s easy to turn his head toward him and just nod.
“Are you benching?” Jared asks, and then he has the audacity to cross the room and hover over Misha, taking one arm between his hands and examining the muscle. “How much can you lift?”
“Um,” Misha says. “I don’t know. I just go to the gym and do some curls. Pull-ups and chin-ups, too. That kind of stuff.”
Jensen shifts awkwardly on the bed and tries to ignore the way his entire body just responded to Misha casually talking about doing pull-ups and chin-ups as if that’s something that everyone can easily do. The last time Jensen tried to do a pull-up he had to take a break from exercising for a week.
“Let’s arm wrestle, dude,” Jared suggests.
“What?” Misha answers.
“Arm wrestle! Come on!”
Jared drags a small table out from next to the mini-fridge and gets situated on one side of it. He puts his elbow on the table and holds his palm up, waiting for Misha to grab it.
Misha looks at it for a second before shrugging once again and then putting his own elbow on the table and clasping Jared’s hand.
Rich stands between them and counts them off.
Misha takes Jared down in about four seconds.
“No. This is impossible,” Jensen says as his drunk body carries him across the room and sets his own elbow on the table. “There’s no way you’re that strong.”
Misha smiles and squints at him. “If you’re so confident, then what are we wagering?”
“A blowjob,” Jensen replies on autopilot.
Rich and Rob both laugh as Jared complains about them being gross.
Misha says, “Deal,” as he takes Jensen’s hand.
When they start, Jensen puts all of his fucking might into it and manages to keep his arm up for a solid seven seconds before he gets distracted by a vein in Misha’s bicep and a sheen on his forearm and then he’s done for.
Before Misha can even gloat over his victory, Jensen grabs him by the hand and drags him toward the door while saying, “Bye, guys, we gotta get going.”
“You’re disgusting and shallow!” Jared yells as they leave.
In the hallway, Jensen finds an abandoned corner with a broken vending machine and pushes Misha up against a wall. He doesn’t kiss him. Instead, he stares at his arms and pushes his sleeves up as far as they’ll go. He runs his hands down the front of his shirt to feel his massive pecs, then he moves onto his hips and isn’t met with the usual squish of Misha’s love handles. It’s all sharp edges and hard lines, and Jensen can’t help but rub his crotch against Misha’s and let out a filthy groan.
“Babe,” Misha protests as Jensen tries to kiss him.
Jensen manages to get one solid kiss on the lips in before Misha uses his bulging muscles to push him away.
“I had no idea you even liked muscles,” Misha comments.
Jensen rubs Misha’s arms and stares at them some more.
“Alright, c’mon,” Misha says, exasperated. He bends down and catches Jensen behind the knees, lifting him up around his waist like he weighs nothing and slamming him back into the opposite wall. “You still owe me a blowjob.”

Jensen’s POV
YN and I had been really together now for three weeks. Basically right after the wrap on season 12 of Supernatural so we both decided that it would be nice to go on holidays. Mainly because we both wanted to get away from Danneel but also because we thought that we both deserved a little downtime. Of course Danneel hadn’t made only one day easy for us. Until I turned my phone off she texted me perpetually and asked questions about which stroller I thought would be best or which color we should paint the room and she even started suggesting baby names.
Not hearing from Danneel or anything about strollers, diapers and babies in general was… relieving somehow. Of course I was excited for all the things but when I was honest with myself the more time had passed the more suspicious I had become. She never let me come with her to the doctors and especially not when she had an appointment for sonograms. I would just simply get a picture of them afterwards with a text saying how excited she was.
One evening I told YN about it when we had dinner and even though she agreed with me that Danneel was acting strangely she tried to calm me down.
“Jensen, Dee is a sly and scheming bitch but faking a pregnancy? That’s even too much for her!”
I knew she was right but I still couldn’t shake off the bad feeling I had. It made me feel bad somehow, after all she was the woman I wanted to propose to not too long ago and actually I should be genuinely happy about becoming a father but it was Danneel. Adding up to that was the way she started to urge me to like her posts on Instagram again and she even wanted to make a post about her pregnancy.
The three of us sat together and together we could convince Danneel that she wouldn’t be posting it as long as she could hide her baby bump. The news that I was now in a relationship with my best friend was headline enough for now. I didn’t want it to be overshadowed or queried by Danneel’s pregnancy.
Today was our last day on Hawaii before we would head back to Dallas tomorrow morning. We had the most excited thing planned for Dallas. YN and I had talked about our living situations in the first week of our holidays and we both agreed on not wanting to have a long distance relationship. So we’d sort through her things and decide which things to pack for Vancouver and which things we’d take to Austin to my place.
The first call she had made was to her boss. She explained the situation briefly to her and then asked if it was possible for her to work from home as this was the easiest way for her to work from Vancouver and Austin. Of course her boss wasn’t very pleased but promised to initiate everything.
“You know,” YN started, turning her head to look at me, “I can’t believe I’m actually moving in with you.”
I laughed. “It’s pretty cool, huh?” That it simultaneously scared the shit out of us was something we didn’t like to mention, especially as we both had expressed our fears about that before. But somehow it felt as if there always were only to possibilities for us: rush things or fail. And none of us really knew what could go wrong, after all we had lived together back in our college times before and there were no other people out there that knew us better than we knew each other.
She nodded and then her cheeks blushed a bit. “I thought that, you know, once everything is settled – in Austin and Vancouver – we should totally christen all of our rooms then.” A cheeky smile spread on her face.
I smiled and turned on my sunbed so we were facing each other, grabbing her by her waist so I could pull her closer to me. “Is that so?” I whispered against her lips.
“Yes”, she giggled and then playfully slapped me on my shoulder. “And now, you pervert, I wanna go swimming.” She gave me one last kiss before she got up and went to the pool.
We arrived at lunchtime back at YN’s house in Dallas and we were both equally excited to pack her things. YN had insisted on keeping her house because “just in case” but it meant that we only needed to box her clothes and most important belongings but nevertheless it took us longer than expected mostly because it was so hard to resist her when she was wearing the shortest shorts she owned. I knew she only did that to tease me but she knew it worked perfectly. So between packing, her showing me a few of her favourite lingerie and the one or other quickie it had taken us five hours to pack six years of living in that house into boxes.
“Huh, unbelievable”, YN said and let herself fall down onto her couch. “I really had six great years here…” Her voice trailed off, probably reliving the greatest memories she had experienced here.
Plunging down next to her I saw that her answering machine was blinking. I nodded towards it and asked why she hadn’t listened to the message yet.
She shrugged. “It was blinking already when I came home after… after you know what. I figured it was you and then we went to Hawaii. Wait… It wasn’t you?”
I shook my head. “Want me to get it?” YN nodded.
Clearing my throat I got up and pressed the button. The voice of a very jittery Gen filled the room.
“YN? Shit, you need to call me back as soon as possible. Please you can’t believe Danneel one word about her pregnancy. We went to the movies last… it doesn’t matter. I overheard a call where she said it was all fake and her way to get Jens-“ She was cut off by the automatic ending of her answering machine but the way this sentence was supposed to end was crystal clear.
When I looked at YN her face was pale and shock was written all over her face. I had been right all along.
Reader’s POV
You were more than shocked. When Jensen had told you about his suspicion you were offhand about it. Sure, Danneel was a scheming bitch but you honestly thought that she at least had some decency. But obviously she’d stoop to anything to get her way.
Jensen stood still next to your telephone, shock also clearly evident on his face. This would change everything. You almost had broken up with him because of her pregnancy. You would have given up on your future with Jensen for a fucking fake pregnancy.
“Did you… Did you hear what I heard?” Jensen asked carefully.
You nodded, somehow as if you were in trance. This seemed even more surreal than Danneel announcing her pregnancy did. But now everything made sense. Why she was more focused on you than on Jensen the night she told you, why Jensen couldn’t accompany her to her sonograms… It was all just to force herself back into Jensen’s life.
From one moment to another your emotions changed from shock to anger. This stupid bitch. Who did she think she was? How could someone possibly be so hungry for fame and attention that she would do anything to get back to her ex-boyfriend, her only chance for her to become said things just because she was a shallow actress who had probably more botox in her face than others had in their whole body. Not to mention her obvious shitty character. She deserved nothing and especially not Jensen’s pure heart.
“Are you al-alright?” You asked. It surely had to be even harder for him than for you.
“I – uhm… I don’t know.”
Jensen came over to the couch. The ease from only a few minutes ago was gone, instead there was a weird tension now. He hid his face in his hands.
“You know”, he started, his face still in his hands, “I knew there was something off but I… I thought –“
“You wanted to be a dad”, you ended his sentence and he nodded.
“It wouldn’t have been ideal –“
Again you cut him off. “Jensen, you don’t need to justify yourself. I’d never judge you. She’s the only person I’m judging. Maybe it’s no comfort but in a few years… you and me?”
He finally looked up and smiled. “Hey, no, this is not what I meant. We have all the time in the world and, hell, this is how things should have been right from the start. You and me and in a few years we’re gonna have kids – if you want to, of course.”
His eyes were so soft and his smile honest, it made you smile as well. “I know we’re still speaking hypothetically but I’d love to be the mother of your children.” You cleared your throat. “But at first I wanna kick that bitch’s ass.”
“Yeah, I wanna do that as well”, Jensen laughed.
Half an hour later you were in the car on your way to Austin. You’d arrive in the evening where you actually just wanted to unpack the boxes in Jensen’s new house but that didn’t matter quite as much as it did this morning. You wanted to punch her in her face. Jensen had called her before you left and said that you’d come for a quick check-up on her before you’d bring your stuff to Jensen’s place. Little did she know that you’d brush her botox-smile out of her face.
The car drive could have been happier but nevertheless you and Jensen sang along to various songs and you were surprised when he rapped along to Eminem without getting one word wrong. This was something you didn’t know about him and it made you smile that were things you could still surprise each other with.
You were lucky and didn’t get in any severe traffic jams which allowed you to pull up in Danneel’s driveway around 10 pm. The both of you were tired but your anger flooded your body with just enough adrenaline to take this conversation on and not too much so it stopped you from punching her in her shiny, botoxed face when she opened the door.
“Jensen”, she smiled, or maybe you should say grimaced, and hugged him. You felt him stiffening next to you. “I’m so glad you could make it.”
Jensen only shot her a short smile. “Yeah, actually we are pretty tired so if we could just talk for a second that would be nice, Danneel.”
She nodded and opened the door a bit further so you and Jensen could come in. She ignored you but somehow you didn’t expect anything else. You were nothing but a disturbing factor to her. You wondered how she planned on getting rid of you. If she considered murder you wouldn’t be too surprised, if you were honest with yourself.
You and Jensen sat down on the large couch. Nothing looked like it used to back then when it was still their shared home. She changed everything, from the curtains to the light switches, even.
Danneel sat down opposite of you, her legs crossed and her look expectant. “So, what do you wanna talk about?”
“How did you do it?” Jensen asked, his voice calmer than usual to hide all his anger.
Danneel cocked her eyebrows and laughed nervously. “How did I do what?”
“Faked your fucking pregnancy!” You yelled. Unlike Jensen you couldn’t keep warm. “I would have given up everything with Jensen. I almost would have let you win, you fucking bitch. How dare you to play such a charade? I thought you were at your lowest when you wanted Jensen to marry you so people would finally remember your existence but this? This is a new level of pathetic, even for you, Elta!”
Mid-rant you had jumped up, getting dangerously close to her. Your fists were balled and in your head you were already slapping the shit out of her but the last piece of conscious – and Jensen grabbing you by your waist – held you back.
“Don’t. She ain’t even worth the spit!” He guided you back towards the couch, practically forcing you to sit on his lap so he could control you, have a hold on you. “Calm down”, he then whispered in your ear, placing a chaste kiss behind it.
Danneel laughed. “What do you want me to say? Or do you even want me to apologize? I just wanted what is due to me. And honestly, Jensen, we could have had a perfect life. I mean, did I really ask for too much? And as for you, little lap dog, who are you even? You have nothing to offer and Jensen will realize that sooner or later. My fake pregnancy would have just quickened it a bit.” She shrugged.
“Thank you”, Jensen said and applauded shortly. His voice was smooth, almost admiringly. You had been so agitated that you hadn’t realized that Jensen had his phone in one of his hands that were wrapped around you. And neither had Danneel.
Jensen turned his phone around so that she could see the screen which replayed her confession. Her face went as white as a ghost and her mouth fell open. “You didn’t…”, she whispered.
“Yes, I did, Danneel. I didn’t want to but you gave me no other choice. And sometimes you can only win by beating somebody at their own game. Believe me, I will not hesitate to upload that video if you don’t stay away from us and refuse to ever say anything about me or YN publicly. Got it?”
Danneel only nodded. She still couldn’t believe we – or rather Jensen – played her like that. And you were proud of Jensen. Blackmailing her wasn’t the best solution but it was like Jensen said. Sometimes you had to beat them at their own game.
“Good, then we’re done here.”
You got up from Jensen’s lap and passed Danneel, giving her a pitiful look. Jensen didn’t even look at her when he left the room.
Outside you wrapped your arms around his neck. “You were kind of hot in there, threatening her.”
He laughed and placed his hands on your hips. “I hope, though, you will never have to see me like that again.” Then he kissed you. It was a passionate and inappropriately long kiss considering the fact that you stood in front of Danneel’s front door but neither of you cared.
When Jensen broke the kiss to catch his breath he chuckled. “You know, if we had only once turned our phones on we could have known it all along. Jared and Gen left me at least a hundred messages.”
You chuckled as well. Somehow it was really kind of funny. By shutting the world off you had made it harder instead of easier on yourselves. But for now that didn’t matter anymore because it was over and that meant that you and Jensen could start living your life together, start working on a future together and that was all that mattered.

Soulmate at long last i found you
A.N: this is for week 2 of Supernatural Hiatus Writing Challenge drawn up by @thing-you-do-with-that-thing though for the purpose of this magnificant piece of work Danneel, Justice, Zepplin, & Arrow do not exist Jensen is single though we love Danneel and their little family. this is a little longer than i imagined but it will be a good read none the less. give it some love if it made your day.
Prompt: “Are we completely sure that’s how it’s supposed to look?”
Pairing: Jensen x Female Reader
Plot: set at a San Diego Comic Con you leave your best friend back home for the weekend to go to the convention but you enter the hall with not the intention of finding your soulmate, your world came tumbling in as you found and discovered your purpose in life by going through the convention like normal being constantly reminded by the burning mark ever present on your arm… YOUR SOULMATE WAS THERE BUT YOU NEVER GUESSED IN A MILLION YEARS WHO YOU WOULD HAVE ENDED UP WITH….
Genre: SOULMATE
It felt like just yesterday, you met HIM the one your soulmate, but you didn`t expect it to be Jensen Ackles of all people. you met him at the San Diego comic con you felt it necessary to go that year not just because you wanted to but because you had a feeling that something good was about to happen.
--------------------- 4 years ago-------------------
you knew that this was gonna be an amazing weekend for you, as you got into your car and turned up your playlist you started towards the convention. of course, your heart did a little leap when you parked the car at the hotel. you booked your room but you ignored the thousands upon thousands of fan girls crowding you, yes you had been to a few of these big shows before but this was your first trip to the San Diego Comic Con.
you went to the elevator and up to the 8th floor and went to your room. the manager had been gracious enough to give you a suite with a balcony and a jacuzzi you were sure you would use it. you got into your Supernatural jewelry and your shirt change to a tank top, your long jeans had changed to your fave leather skirt and your runners stayed on cause you didn’t want blisters this weekend.
then you grabbed your all access pass and your key and your wallet cased phone leaving your hotel room you once again walked off to another convention. this time when you saw the convention center where it was being held your heart skipped a few beats your mouth went dry and a mark appeared on your arm.
you went into the center and found the washroom looking at your arm you pulled out your phone and called your best friend who unfortunately couldn’t attend the convention with you cause she had a huge exam coming up for her university course and elected to stay behind and study.
“dude we got a problem my soul mate he is here at the convention the mark that appeared the last time we were at a convention with supernatural stars in it the mark had appeared briefly but now it’s not leaving does this mean my soulmate is here”
you could hear your friend laughing at you,
“YN yes that is exactly what it means but don’t worry if you find him just make sure you bring him home first before you marry him... but I got to go my honey just got home. love you let me know when you find him...”
with that the call was done it was short and sweet and you loved her so much but you were worried what if he didn’t know you were here... then you felt a stinging from your mark, “omg he knows I’m in the building, well it’s time to face the music let’s do this...”
you pulled your courage, straightened your pass, and exited the bathroom with a purpose with a skip in your stride you felt your mark burn ever so slightly the closer you got to the main hall, you hoped your missing autographs would be there.
you walked into the hall and smiled seeing the hustle and bustle of everyone it made you happy. but you felt your heart stop causing you to stop in your tracks, your soulmate he was near but where was he, who was he... you bumped into someone and you turned around immediately only to find that you were now staring at Jared Padalecki.
you pulled back a bit and apologized, “omg Jared Padalecki, I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to do that”
he laughed and then caught wind of the mark on your arm, “excuse me I don’t mean to be rude but you have the same mark on your arm as someone else I know umm I’m sorry what’s your name”
you giggled and smiled, “my name is Y/F&L/N what do you have in mind for an idea to get us both in the same room”
Jared just smiled at you, “come with me ill text him as we head to the back room he has been saying his soulmate has been here for the last few hours. now I know why cause you were.”
Jared took out his phone and hit call, “Jay meet me in the backroom I found your soulmate... I’m heading there with her now.”
you couldn’t hear anything but you kept tight grip of your merch bags as you followed Jared closely watching as the guards argued with Jared when they stopped him from bringing me thru but with some hard convincing you were let thru.
you knew your friend was never gonna believe you without some hard evidence, Jared Padalecki knows your soulmate. you were for sure gonna have alot of explaining to do but it was only the first day of the convention. you were sure the rest of the weekend was gonna be just as good.
you and Jared arrived in the back room and about 5 minutes you waited, the door opened and you heard a voice a very familiar voice. “dude is that her well she looks good from the back...” you heard Jared laugh as he said, “dude don’t worry I’m not blind you know she is so much like you. hey YN come over here and meet my friend”
you turned around and smiled as your eyes connected with Jensen Ackles your eyes shone and Jensen approached you with a smile on his face, “I felt like I couldn’t breathe till now. I’m happy to be meeting you YN. Jared get Richard I think he should know before the fans find out.”
Jared left the room with a giddy smile on his face as he shut the door catching only a small glimpse of Jensen leaning in to kiss YN. Jared knew that when he got back they would either still be kissing or they would be cuddled up somewhere.
Jensen Ackles was kissing you, your brain was attempting to process what was currently happening. you were making out with Jensen Ackles it was amazing, your arm burned which made you yelp.
“sorry Jensen, it’s just my mark is burning... what does this mean.” Jensen smiled and moved to sit on the chair and moved you to sit on his lap, “it means you have found your other half and you are now whole.”
suddenly the door opened and in walked Jared with Richard Speight Jr, you kept your forehead attached to Jensen’s as he sighed, “well I think this means I am gonna need my own space boys…” Richard who now was as happy as could be, “Jay my man you did it your hooked for this young woman I’m sure this weekend wasn’t planning on finding her soulmate let alone finding out it was her biggest hero. Though I have to ask dear where r u from?”
All you could do was smile, you were so happy right now you weren’t even thinking about what you were about to say, “Y/H/T, I drove over here to see the convention because it was one of the only conventions I had never been too before plus I hoped this was my chance to get the autographs for all of/most of the supernatural cast.”
Jensen smiled as he planted a small kiss to your forehead, but Jared cleared his throat and said, “jay the panel will be starting soon, Richard is there anyway that jay and YN won’t have to be separated or what are you thinking?” Richard looked at you and Jensen and smiled ever so slightly, “I have an idea but it’s a longshot that it will even work… Jensen how would you like the fans to find out about this new found love you have found?”
Jensen got up holding onto you closely, he couldn’t bare risking anything happening to you. “Richard I think we need to let the fans know about this, but in a special way make your announcements rich I need to brief YN on a few things before we go out there. I mean I’m sure she knows how the panel works but she will need to understand what happens out there will change her life forever…”
Jensen smiled as you put your finger to his lips and said, “I knew that this weekend was gonna change my life from the moment I stepped into my car to get here don’t worry I can handle anything plus if someone take pictures I can send it to my best friend or jay and I can go back and she could see it for herself… I mean if you want…”
You said as you turned your gaze to Jensen who simply smiled, “guys I guess I’m taking a vacation with my girl and we will meet you guys back in Vancouver. But first let’s do this panel and make this announcement rich do your thing.”
Richard, Jared, Jensen and you all exited the room and while Richard went out to announce the panel there was a calm that washed over you and Jensen. Then after the crowd died down you guys all heard this, “good day ladies and gentlemen boys and girls I’m Richard Speight Jr and yes I will also be apart of this panel but today we not only have J2 and J2M but one of our lucky panel members has an announcement but that will be for him to announce to you all himself. Let’s give a big round of applause for Jared Padalecki and for Jensen Ackles.”
From the moment Jensen left your grasp you felt a little happier, but you weren’t far from him. “Misha will be joining us later but right now I turn it over to these guys as I too join the table.”
You watched as Richard joined the table and then you smiled realizing Jensen was rubbing his mark to try and soothe you. But you smiled more feeling a little nervous, while you heard Jensen laugh as he said, “how’s everyone doing today?” the crowd just cheered making the room feel a lot louder than it should as Jensen laughed,
“alright so as Richard said something happened to one of us today and well that person was me see this morning when I entered this room to set up for the panel a mark appeared on my arm one that I could only tell was my soulmate, she is here today and I had the honor of spending some time with her already and right now I wish to present her to you for she is my other half, ladies and gentlemen give it up for YN…”
Jensen came over to you and held his hand towards you and from the moment you stepped foot on the panel floor your previous life was forgotten. Well sort of I mean you weren’t fully gonna forget it but you knew whatever happened next was gonna be epic. Jensen and you did a little mini Q/A during the panel discussing what you both wanted for this new adventure and being asked for a photo worthy kiss.
------------2 YEARs & 6 MONTHS LATER-----------
You forgot how hard it was to move, you forgot how much stuff you had accumulated while living between your parents’ home and with your best friend but now you had your soulmate and it was the final moving day for you and Jensen as you both along with most of the SPN cast & crew unloaded boxes furniture and more boxes but eventually it was all unloaded and it was time to sit and relax you guys had the bodyguards putting together the bed frame and headrest as you both agreed to get a new bed so it was entirely your own.
At this point after much consideration you both had ordered in Chinese with triple orders of chicken balls and dry ribs and rice, you couldn’t have been any happier. Then as you and Jensen ate you continued to unpack some boxes, you found a box that had a bunch of pictures and posters in it you knew that it was gonna feel right after putting them up so you and Jensen created a mural of the month and the day you met on the big wall above the fire place with a poster of your first public photographed kiss at that San Diego Comic Con.
You both centered it in the middle of the date and you both fell back on the couch and smiled, “Are we completely sure that’s how it’s supposed to look?” you said as Jensen pulled you to rest your head in his lap, “well it looks good like that I mean it would have still yet taken us weeks to find a good spot for that but making this mural was a wonderful idea babe… do you think we can have that talk now the one that you said we could have after we finished moving?”
You looked up at Jensen and smiled, “of course I mean we are just sitting here on OUR couch looking at OUR mural so yes we can have that talk now… what was it you wanted to discuss with me?”
Jensen moved to remove his shirt and you didn’t object cause it was something he did every single night and you loved it. “YN I love you I love everything about you I especially love the way your eyes sparkle. You couldn’t have picked a better time to come to the SDCC but now we have been together for 2 YEARS & 6 MONTHS and well I feel like it is the right time for another upgraded step.”
Jensen reached behind him on the table and placed in front of you a small black box with a 24k Diamond Ring with a silver band inside it, “YN will you make me even happier and marry me, I mean you have changed me in more ways than I can ever have hoped for but I know you feel something changing too… so will you marry me?”
You weren’t sure if your voice would betray you or not but you spoke anyway, “yes yes yes of course I will Jay I love you…” you started kissing him when all the sudden you heard the sound of clapping and cheering, you both turned around and saw everyone from the cast to the crew, you both knew it was gonna be a chaotic next year…
And man were you both right…
------- 4 MONTHS LATER-------
Jensen and you were taking a mini vacation like being told to take a rest from all the wedding planning and go on a mini road trip somewhere course you both choose LA cause why not… while there you both had some WILD moments things were heated and you both barely left your hotel room.
One morning around 2:30am you rushed to the bathroom and upchucked anything that would have been in your stomach was now gone. With that you pulled out your little toiletries bag and searched for the one thing you knew your best friend in the whole world had put in there… you held on to it and then waited for the results… after 2 minutes you looked at it…
You took the results and went in the bedroom you shoke Jensen lightly, “Jay Jay, wake up I think something happened and we have only been here a month…” Jensen now sort of awake turned on the lamp smiling when he saw the test and results in your hand, “YN is that what I think it is?” you nodded now slightly crying, “are we gonna be parents???” you nodded more cause your words weren’t coming out and Jensen took the test from you placing it on the table he cuddle you close and you bursted into tears, “we are gonna be parents YN we are gonna bring a baby into this world. But when should we tell the others…”
---------1 week later---------
You and Jensen arrived back home still keeping close the results and unloading the SUV you hummed. Jensen carried the suitcase while you carried in most of the groceries and stuff. “damn jay we brought back a lot of souvenirs…”
Within moments you both were greeted by your best friend running towards you in a giant hug with knocked you both onto the couch and you teared up again… “Y/F/N I can’t believe you would do such a thing… scaring me like that actually no I’m happy you’re here it will be so much easier to tell you the exciting news in person at dinner tonight I mean Jared and Gen are coming for dinner too so ya… umm Jay can you take our suitcase upstairs and unpack the toiletry bags and please. Y/F/N can you help me make dinner…”
She couldn’t believe what she was hearing as she followed you into the kitchen, “ok girl spill what’s so secretive I mean Jensen was moving like he didn’t want to leave your side I mean it’s like that with most soul mates but you and Jensen seem different…” you didn’t know what to say and you wanted to tell everyone together, “let’s just say for now girl that LA was definitely a time I will never forget..”
She gave you a look like she wanted to hear more but she knew you were stubborn and that you weren’t gonna say anything till everyone was here. She showed you what she had done per to the instructions you had given her to start on for dinner and for about half an hour you and your best friend wandered your kitchen spinning eachother at each turn and throwing the bird in the oven to slow cook for the next few hours.
Over time you both got emerced with wedding details sealing the invites your bestie offering to run them to the mail box when she and her beau went to get the drinks for tonight. Well that left you and Jensen alone for a few moments, you curled up to him on the couch, his hands stroking your belly with the future baby Ackles inside and you were in awe.
Once your friend got back, Jared and his family arrived as well, but it was still a little bit to dinner. Jensen had offered to help you with the bird giving Gen a chance to do clothing measurements for your Maid of Honor and Jared, Gen had offered to sew your wedding party dresses and then to help you pick yours online and do any alterations and such.
You felt connected to Gen from the moment you met her, Jensen came up behind you while you were cutting potatoes, wrapping his arms around your waist he smiles kissing your neck softly, “you know someone like you could really get someone like me all frisky…” he whispered in your ear making you smile, “babe you know heated you making me right now?” he only smiled answering your question as there it became apparent that everything was perfect.
Finally, it was time to sit and eat, you and Jensen sat at the head of the table, Jared and gen sat on the right, while your friend and her beau sat on the left Jensen grabbed you a soda out of the fridge when he grabbed his beer, everyone was curious why you weren’t drinking.
Jensen got up to speak, “we are all gathered today to celebrate not only the marriage between me and YN but the fact that we have our friends and family round us right now makes this the perfect moment to announce something. YN would you like to say it or would you like me to?”
All you could do was cling to Jensen’s hand as you got up,
“well as you all know we went for a little vacay to LA and we were amazed by how much fun we had it was mainly shopping. But we were entitled to everything. But while there we had a lot of wild fun and the week before we left, I got woken up from my sleep by what at the time I had perceived to be a bug of some kind, but when I got the idea to test the theory I tested it right away. After finding out the results I woke Jensen immediately and we couldn’t be more thrilled so I just have one question for both of the other ladies in this room: as my bridal party would you both also take up the role of God mother for our child…???”
Everyone’s eyes widened as Jensen said, “YN and I are gonna be parents, we are about 2 weeks along now… our first appointment with the doctor is next week.”
Everyone hugged you both, they now understood why you weren’t drinking but they did cheers to you and Jensen anyway and thus so turned their attention back to the food that was now slowly becoming cooler but now everyone understood.
After a while it was decided to move the wedding date forward in order for you to be able to fit into your dress and yet still make you Mrs. Y/N Ackles. But it was gonna take a little bit of time so neither of your bridal party was really caring about anything else just intensely focusing on giving you and Jensen the best wedding ever.
-----------2 months later THE FIRST BIG DAY------------
“Gen I don’t know if I can do everything exactly as practiced I mean we had to as it is change the bust part for my dress which sucks but I guess its part of being pregnant my boobs grow too. But im like I don’t know nervous maybe…”
Gen spun me towards her as we stood in the mirror, “look ok I know one thing Jensen wont ever let anything happen to you. He loves you too much to let you be nervous. Now put a smile on your face and finish your vows so we can put you in your dress and get you out there.”
You sighed looking at your dress still sitting on the mannequin, you finished writing your vows down. And Gen helped you into your dress. You spun round in it and smiled allowing no tears yet to fall from your eyes.
You took your phone and smiled, sticking it in your clutch and handing that to Gen who then texted Jared and Y/F/N that it was time and Jared said he and Jensen were already at the alter. You stopped at the door and became extremely nervous feeling your heart pulsing faster.
You had no idea what you were walking out into and yet you felt your mark burning it was nothing to be wronged of. You felt it heat up but little known to you Jensen was just as nervous as you. Yet Gen and Jared were surprisingly calm considering their best friends were getting married and yet they had not freaked out once.
---------Jensen view---------
“Damn jared and Gen went all out to turn their back yard into a ceremony/reception place it is gonna be so hard not to take Y/N to the bathroom and go wild but meh, we will do lots of that later right now I just need to remember what…”
At that moment Jensen was snapped out of his little thought span by Jared coming up behind him and patting him on the back, “so dude you ready for this I mean its gonna be amazing you and Y/N are really a beautiful couple plus this baby dude your gonna be a father im super stoked im gonna be an uncle.. its gonna be awesome. Anyway Gen says its time the minister is already here and the cast and crew are also here she will be coming down with Y/N in a few moments you need to get into position. Dude don’t worry everything will be fine.”
Jensen looked over at his best friend and smiled walking up the aisle with Jared leading the way he took their positions. Then the music started and it sounded through the entire property, with Gen and Y/F/N on either side of Y/N it was how Y/N had chosen to make her grand entrance but rehearsing this was a fun thing and her parents had suggested it since they couldn’t make it to the wedding they had asked Gen and Y/F/N to take their places and that they would skype in while they were at their business meetings their supervisors were friends and so she actually had the entire boards of her parents works watching the wedding while they had their meetings. Which made Jensen smile he never dreamed he would have had this many people at his wedding at all.
----------Y/N POV-----------
You were more nervous but happy your parents at least got to witness your wedding, although it was amazing having your friends walk you down the aisle. But you did as soon as the march started you all strolled down the aisle at a steady pace and your eyes locked with Jensen’s you were sure you would fall on your face but that wasn’t going to happen.
Finally, it was the end of the aisle your hand connected with Jensen’s and once more you felt like you were home. Your friends took their spots behind you as the minister spoke,
“honored and esteemed friends & family today we have gathered to bear witness to the union of Jensen Ackles and YF&LN these 2 souls may have lived within the darkness but yet stay now & forevermore in the light of eachother for by the holy grace of God we bare witness to their marks for these 2 souls have been pre destined to be together now if anyone objects to this union please speak up or forever hold your peace...”
Well the good news was that no one objected, “very well Jensen & Y/N its time for your vows…”
Jensen’s touch against your hands was calming as he spoke,
“Y/N stepping foot into a convention and not expecting something is all part of the fun and that day we both found something we could have only dreamed of. We found eachother we weren’t expecting to come out of the con with our soulmates but it happened and I’m so thankful for every precious day with you. I Jensen Ross Ackles promise on this day to love cherish and protect you for the rest of our lives for as long as we both shall live.”
You stroked the top of his hand after he placed the ring on your finger as you smiled and spoke,
“Jensen you have made me a very lucky lady I mean you took my breath away that first day and now I can’t even find the words to describe my love for you. All these years before finding you I thought I was alone that I didn’t have a soulmate and I know now that I have you now and forevermore as part of my love for the supernatural fandom I taught myself Latin and with that I have one thing to say, quod est vinculum amor coniungit nos meaning love is the bond that unites us. I YFMLN also promise on this day to love cherish and protect you for the rest of our lives as long as we both shall live.”
With that the preacher smiled as you placed the ring on Jensen’s finger and spoke, “with the power vested in me by the laws of the church and heaven and in the sight of God I now pronounce you husband and wife. Jensen you may now kiss your bride.”
Jensen dipped you towards your bridal party and kissed you passionately. You could see the flashes from all the cameras and the people cheering. Everyone was happy most of all you and Jensen were happy.
There was a party after but all you and Jensen wanted to do was sit nestled on the porch wearing still your wedding clothes. You didn’t have the faintest idea of what the future still held, but you and Jensen were gonna live life to the fullest you could and it would all be amazing cause you would be together.
Everyone was impressed what destination you and Jensen had chosen for your honeymoon you both had chosen an all inclusive no expense spared luxury trip for a month to Disney world only shopping and small rides that wouldn’t hurt you but it was still gonna be amazing.
You could only smile as the private jet took off but with Jensen sitting next to you it was awesome. You arrived and your month went nice and slow but you came back just after you started showing but when you guys returned it was time to travel to Vancouver for starting to shoot the next season.
-----------6 MONTHS LATER-----------
You and Jensen were coming back from Vancouver and all of the sudden it hit you the FIRST contraction. Driving back from the airport Jensen stopped the car pulling over as you screamed in pain.
“it is a contraction it’s the first one it hurts like a son of a bitch… ug ahhhhhh”
You screamed again as the second one hit and Jensen undid your seatbelt slightly making it easier for you to breathe as he started the car again, “hang on sweetheart…. We will be at the hospital in about 10 minutes. Don’t worry honey it will be alright…”
You focused on your breathing and Jensen’s thumb stroking the back of your hand, you tried to smile through the pain. But it hurt so much and you were not sure how you would live through this…
You guys arrived at the hospital and Jensen helped get you inside immediately you were placed in a wheelchair and you could hear the nurses and Jensen talking around you as you let out another scream as your 3rd contraction hit.
Then this is all you heard,
Nurse: Jensen I assume you want to be in the room for the birth of your child
Jensen: yes of course but she keeps screaming in pain please tell me she is gonna only get the push system
Nurse: of course for as long as everything goes perfectly.
Jensen: don’t let my wife or my child die
Nurse: according to this mobile ultrasound its 2 children
Jensen: 2 children is that why it hurts so much…
You screamed once more and looked for Jensen, “it hurts everything hurts.”
Jensen who now held your hand as the nurses helped you on the bed but Jensen pulled out his phone and texts Jared who responds with he and Gen are on their way to the hospital but puts his phone down and stares right into your eyes, “babe breathe just breathe and push… sorry doc but I don’t think my wife will listen to you right now…”
You were calmed by the sound of Jensen’s voice and you felt the needle go into you and felt the pain subside slightly.
Jensen held your hand as the nurse looked at you, “ok Y/N I need you to push hun the first one is almost out I need one big push…”
You listened to the nurse nodding your head and squeezing Jensen’s hand tightly as you screamed pushing as hard as you could but felt relief when you heard the sound of crying,
“congratulations it’s a boy…”
You had a moment to breathe actually, you had like 15 minutes to breathe before the contractions started again…
The nurses had moved your son to get him cleaned up and stuff, “hun you need to push more this time and there should still be enough morphine in your system to last through this one… ok push….”
All you could do was scream there was a very high pain tolerance, you squeezed Jensen’s hand as tight as you could and screamed as the sound cut out and the voices rang in your ears.
You never wanted to feel such pain, but you didn’t mind you were bringing children into this world and you had every intention of staying in this world to raise them but with the sound having cut out you were only half there.
Jensen tried to get your attention but you were still screaming, Jensen watched your eyes fade to black and then back to brown once the nurses injected you with a sedative the last thing you hear is, “congratulations it’s a girl…”
You woke up 1 hour later and you see Jensen with some supernatural lore books and he turns to you, “babe your awake what happened back there?” you shrugged your shoulders not realizing what happened, “I don’t know jay I mean the last thing I remember is the sound cutting out after the nurse told me to push… you look frightened dear what else happened?”
Jared walked in at that moment, “jay none of the nurses noticed her eyes change and the scans of your children look normal… are you sure of what you saw man?” Jensen nodded his head, “im positive but if there was a demon here where did it go…” Jared only cleared his throat and looked at your shocked expression.
“hold on first of all children??? I remember the nurses saying a boy and a girl we have 2 but what is this about a demon and when do we kill it I want to do this no one possesses my body while I’m pregnant and gets away with it...”
Jensen and Jared only smiled at your eagerness for hunting but there was also a lot wrong with this, “but this life it isn’t supposed to be real, I mean all the books and everything are nothing compared to what I saw from you babe, as soon as I told Jared what I saw he took Gen home and is keeping her out of it for now… we will all need to work together which means Jared and Gen are moving in with us for the time being. I mean we would need help anyway but still what’s the modo???”
“SAVING PEOPLE, HUNTNG THINGS, THE FAMILY BUSINESS…” all of you said as the twins started crying wanting to be fed but a nurse came in and locked the door.
But that is another tale for another time.

38) Where is your best friend?

(b) I would drop all the unnecessary responsibilities I have and start doing things that I want to do, but subtly. Still don’t want to be treated like I’m dying.

A great romantic relationship should consist of communication, understanding, and honesty. You should always want what is best for your partner, but always remember to care for yourself too.

Oh god, okay well a lot of the time I would be afraid to tell the truth when people ask me if I’m okay. lol but don’t go asking me if I’m okay or anything after you read this cause that’s not cool.
54) You accidentally eat some radioactive vegetables. They were good, and what’s even cooler is that they endow you with the super-power of your choice! What is that power?
Oh, hell yeah, I would totally want super strength or laser eyes.
55) You can re-live any point of time in your life. The time-span can only be a half-hour, though. What half-hour of your past would you like to experience again?
I think I would relive the half-hour chunk of time from my 5th birthday party when me and my best friend at the time were outside in the cold November fog riding a miniature pony. There were other kids there, but only her and I were excited about it and I would honestly give anything to go back a relive that innocent bliss.
56) You can erase any horrible experience from your past. What will it be?
I think I would erase having to lose my horse just March of this year.
57) You have the opportunity to sleep with the music-celebrity of your choice. Who would it be?
I would probably sleep with Demi Lovato or Sabrina Carpenter. This is kind of a hard question because usually I only know singers for their music, not their looks or anything.
58) You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go?
Obviously, I’d go to see my soulmate. Although, I would have to be strategic about this. I think i would drive to go get her and then buy her ticket (bc mine’s free) and we’d go see mom. ( @assbutt-still-in-hell )
59) Ever been on a plane?
No, I don’t really want to, but I probably will at some point.
60) Give me your top 5 hottest celebrities.
1. Jared Padalecki
2. Jensen Ackles
3. Misha Collins
4. Gal Gadot
5. Ian Somerhalder (and Genevieve Padalecki, why tf do I only get 5????)
What can I say except you’re WELCOME! Thanks for the questions, they only took me an hour and half to do lol.
