She tells Lily she doesn’t mind people looking in them and seems surprised when she actually does, when she asks her about one that she’d scratched out that she thinks had promise. She talks like she’s never had someone listen before.

Jenny never takes to calling her Mom and Lily doesn’t mind it at all, but something in her, secret and quiet and animal, feels that she’s always had two daughters.
