Something about it was… almost familiar.

Aziraphale is being disquietingly surreptitious. Crowley, being a demon, defaults to seething jealousy. Not surprisingly, they’ve both got hold of the wrong end of the stick.

He wakes up for the third time when the sun is well past the zenith and rinses out a mouth that tastes like the bottom of a birdcage. Somehow, not sobering up and letting what he’d drunk between one club and another (and another) work its villainy on him seemed like the punishment he deserved for ever being enough of an idiot to think that an angel would be content with him. His pit-blasted eyes, his volatile heart, his half-serpent nature.

On the other hand, Aziraphale isn’t being honest with him.

They’re going to have this out.

I'd like to ask you #29 of the Fanfiction Writer Asks you posted! Do you have a story that you feel doesn't get enough love/attention? If so, what is it? (So I can give it love and attention!)

Honestly, I’ve been exceptionally lucky when it’s come to my work getting love. If anything, I’ve gotten loads more than I deserve.

When I started writing fanfic I was treating it like practice. “I’ll use this for play and then I’ll write something original.” Maybe I’ll still do that, eventually. But I don’t know if anything will beat the feeling of writing for people who are excited about the topic, and meeting other writers, and just doing the thing together for the love of it. I’ve shifted into trying to do good work now because writing for this audience has been such a gift. Anyone who has read my stuff, or left a kudos/comment/reblog/whatever, has given me a real gift.

I have a couple of vignettes in a collection about Anathema that I started then sort of stopped after Golden Handcuffs took over that haven’t been widely read. I’m proud of them, and I hope to come back to it. It would be a pleasure if more people read it, but again, I’ve been pretty blessed in terms of attention. No complaints.

I just finished a fic on AO3 called 'Code Adam,' where two dorks hunt high and low for their missing son the ex-Antichrist, resulting in some fun times when old adversaries return to stop them in their quest. Crowley brings a Holy Water super soaker into Hell and Beelzebub is not happy about it, Gabriel basically yells 'fite me IRL bro' to a certain southern pansy, and a poor traumatized stress ball named Hastur makes an appearance as well.

This fic sounds like it’ll be a blast to read! I’ll gladly link it below for others to enjoy!

Oh, and he chloroformed him on that camping trip, too, when Malcolm found the girl again. And he said to Sophie that his son shouldn’t see her 'like that' because that could damage his psyche... I don't think Martin wanted for Malcolm to know what he's doing as the Surgeon, let alone become like him...
