pls i’m scottish, so gzd for me has a scottish accent😭 gzd just talking fast and out of breath after a bad race in an interview like jemma reekie at tokyo 2020 and NO one understanding what she said but just like “yeah😃” and all the drivers making fun of her for always saying “aye” and “canny” + making fun of her accent and how she talks 24/7😂

I know it’s not scottish but this made me think about those two irish brothers at the 2016 olympics and the hilarious interviews they did cause of the accents 😭

Thoughts as we get closer to Paris 2024

There are so many more sports than I realized. I really got into the boulder climbing. Erin McNeice(GBR) is a BEAST. Chaehyun Seo(KOR) is wonderful also.

Steet Skateboarding: Chloe Covell(AUS) is such a fighter. Coco Yoshizawa(JPN) is lovely also.

Rayssa(BRA), I went into Shanghai liking her. But as Chloe fought for attempt after attempt in best trick, Rayssa kind of took a backseat for me.

Track And Field: Stockholm stage of the diamond league today. I got to see Amy Hunt(GBR) again, yay. I have loved everything she's done that I've seen. She is so so good.

Femke Bol(NED) is phenomenal. I watched her in the Tokyo Olympics as well.

Jemma Reekie(GBR). I've always been a sucker for blondes. I watched Doha while after it aired. But I still loved it.

And It took me a minute to remember but Doha was also the first time where I saw Amy Hunt(GBR).

I will try to make the Budapest entry a little bit more organized. I didn't even touch on the breaking finals in Shanghai . I did like the breaking. it's just a lot of flashing lights and I needed a minute to digest it.

Jemma Reekie breaks British indoor mile and 1500m records in New York

American, German and British women’s mile records set

“I had no clue of what a good mile time was,��� says Reekie

Jemma Reekie has continued her incredible record-breaking run by smashing the British indoor mile and indoor 1500m records at the Millrose Games in New York – just a week after she claimed the national 800m record.

The 21-year-old from Scotland ran the Wanamaker Mile in 4 minutes 17.88 seconds to take nearly a second off the time set by her training partner Laura Muir last year.
