can you see the stars in your dreams (and do they have a lot to say about me) - Part 2
Or: a secret Admirer AU
PART 1
There’s a note in Eddie’s locker. It flutters down to the dirty linoleum when he opens it to try and find his missing Biology textbook. He stares down at it, perplexed, until Jeff bends down to pick it up.
“Hey!” Eddie cries, snatching it out of his hand. “That’s mine!”
“Whatever, dude,” Jeff replies, leaning back into the closed locker beside Eddie’s and crossing his arms.
Eddie pays him no mind, too busy unfolding the note and bending over it to read.
He reads it again. And again. And again, each pass over the sign-off making his cheeks feel hotter.
It’s not like Eddie’s a stranger to getting notes in his locker, but they’re usually death threats. Or requests for drugs. Not…not this.
“What’s it say?” Jeff asks, breaking him from his shocked reverie.
“Nothing!” Eddie shrieks loudly enough that multiple heads turn to scowl at them. Eddie hastily stuffs the note into his pocket, and smiles at Jeff. “Let’s go get lunch, huh?”
Jeff squints at him suspiciously.
Eddie, in a desperate bid to distract him, starts rambling about this week’s campaign. It seems to work. By the time they’re settled in with matching shitty lunches, Jeff’s wheedling him for information on the next big bad instead of the note burning a hole in Eddie’s pocket.
It’s probably a joke, definitely a joke.
He finds himself combing the packed lunch tables anyway, looking for anything out of the ordinary, anyone paying more attention to him than usual. There’s nothing. Harrington’s letterman on a different girl, a few band geeks sitting closer together than usual, nothing else.
No one looks at him at all.
He gives it up as a bad job and forgets the note entirely until he finds a wet, pulpy mess in his pocket on his next laundry day.
A little part of Eddie mourns the only love note he’s likely ever to get, cruel prank or not.
But there’s another one there the following week. There’s an envelope this time–it’s light purple, his name written in a dark, careful black atop it.
He’s alone at his locker, no nosy friends to wheedle it out of him, but the hallway is full of other students rushing to make it to their next class, so he presses it carefully into his monster manual and bides his time.
He wants to wait until he’s in the privacy of his own home to open it. Eddie barely makes it to his van after school before he’s collapsing into the relative privacy of the windowless back and tearing through his backpack like a rabid dog.
He tries to be more careful with the envelope. But it’s sealed, and his prodding fingers tear it open in jagged lines.
That same light blue paper is nestled inside. He slips it out and unfolds it to read in the dank recesses of his parked van.
Eddie –
You always look so happy when you’re with your friends. I like the way your dimples always seem to peek out no matter how small your smile is. The big ones are my favorite, when you’re jumping up on the cafeteria table with all your teeth showing.
You didn’t jump up on any tables last week. Was that because of me?
You seemed upset after I gave you my letter. Do you even want me to write these? I don’t want to be a bother. If you do, maybe you could write back? Leave your reply in the back of the WXYZ encyclopedia, no one ever uses that one.
If you don’t reply, then I won’t bother you anymore, okay?
Yours, always,
Your Secret Admirer
It could still be a joke. Eddie wouldn’t put it past some of the jocks in the school to put their girlfriends up to a long-con. Still, his heart’s fluttering like there’s a bird stuffed in there trying to get out.
It could be a joke. But Eddie’s already mentally picking out stationary and pondering word choices. There will be a letter tucked into the designated encyclopedia come tomorrow morning.
Eddie’s got a maiden to woo.
***
“What if he doesn’t respond?” Steve hisses in Chrissy’s ear.
She bats him away, which doesn’t seem like very good girlfriend behavior to Steve, but what does he know? He’s had exactly one real girlfriend, and she’d ditched him for another guy within the year.
“He’ll respond,” Chrissy whispers back, soothing his anxiety with a gentle pat to his shoulders.
The library’s not as empty as it was the last few times. Steve feels his heartbeat kick up every time someone looks up from their coursework and glances their way. At this rate, all his hair’s going to turn gray, ruining his best feature well before there’s even a flicker of a chance to kiss Eddie Munson on the lips.
“Why did we pick the library?” Steve asks.
Chrissy pauses in front of the bookcase holding the damning shelf of encyclopedias. She raises her eyebrow at him and asks, “what, you’d prefer the boy’s bathroom?” drolly.
“I remember when I thought you were nice,” Steve mutters quietly enough that he hopes she can’t hear him. By the way she rolls her eyes, he has no such luck.
Then, without further prompting, she bends down and pulls the WXYZ encyclopedia off the shelf. Steve’s heartbeat ratchets up as he peers over her crouched head and watches her dainty hand flip the cover open. There, tucked between the front board and the cover page, is a crisply folded piece of paper clearly ripped carelessly out of someone’s notebook.
Steve doesn’t care; he’d still open it if it was written on a used piece of toilet paper.
He reaches down past where Chrissy is still crouched to retrieve the note, but just like before, she slaps his hand back.
“Chrissy!”
She doesn’t respond, just plucks the note and slides the encyclopedia back into its place. Once standing, she links her arm with his, running soothing fingers up and down his forearm even as she pulls him along toward the back of the library.
She pushes him down into a vacant chair with deceptively strong arms; he always forgets how difficult cheerleading must be. Once he’s slumped into his own chair, she pulls the one across the table to his side and seats herself primly on it, legs crossed at her thighs.
Only then does she unfold the note and lay it gently on the table in front of him.
Secret Admirer,
I don’t know if this is a prank or if you genuinely like me, so I’m not really sure what to say. No one’s ever had a crush on me before, at least that I know of.
I didn’t know my hair was nice. My uncle keeps trying to get me to cut it. One time I brushed it and it was so poofy I wore a bandanna until I washed it again. But you probably didn’t need to know that. I’m glad you like it though.
The paper you picked is really pretty, and I can smell the perfume you sprayed on the envelope. Fresh flowers in the spring, or a sunny day.
–Eddie
P.S. You can keep writing. Your notes have been the best part of my days, and I hope mine will be for you, too.
Steve reads it over and over again. Eddie’s handwriting is spiky, but carefully rendered to be readable. The post script takes a little more squinting at the page, letters and words crowding over one another like he’d added it at the last minute.
From the few classes they’ve shared, a small part of Steve was worried he wouldn’t be able to read it at all. But, no, Eddie’d taken the time to smooth out each letter, even while half convinced this was a prank. And the bit about his Uncle and his poofy hair? Adorable.
Steve brushes his fingers reverently over the words, half afraid they’ll smudge beneath his fingers. His face aches from the force of his smile.
“What should I say back?” Steve asks, looking up at Chrissy, feeling manic, hopeful, brave. Only then does he notice her carefully averted gaze, the way her body is turned just slightly away. He pushes the page toward her. “Come on, Chris, read it.”
She leans back toward him, smiling as she readjusts her body in a better position to read. “I didn’t want to presume.”
“Aren’t couples supposed to share?” Steve asks, because even when he’s happy enough to beam light straight out of his pores, he’s fundamentally a bitch.
Chrissy doesn’t respond, already too absorbed in Eddie’s words to pay him any attention, not that he can blame her. Steve waits, bursting with stupid, tender feelings until she’s read the thing through and put the page back on the table, placed perfectly between them.
“So, what should I say?” Steve asks.
Chrissy, never one to make things easy on him, starts the way she’s started every other letter-writing session so far: “What do you want to say?”
***
The letter her and Steve had written together is in her bag, Steve understandably too fearful to carry it himself. She’d taken it home, used her nicer stationery and a decorative envelope because, as Steve had pointed out repeatedly, Eddie’d seemed to appreciate how pretty the last letter was.
He’d sounded almost wretched when he said it, like proof that Eddie liked the pretty embellishments she’d put on his words was all he’d needed to know that his feelings would never be reciprocated.
She hadn’t known what to say.
So, she’d taken it home, gussied it up, and brought it back to the school, waiting for an opportune moment to push it through the slats of Eddie’s locker.
Steve’s been walking her to class and to lunch, playing the dutiful boyfriend up. She likes it, all this time with him.
He’s the best boyfriend she’s ever had.
Jason, his only competition for the title, has looked more and more pinch-faced every time they’ve crossed paths. She wishes, almost, that he’d yell at her, hit her, do something. It feels like waiting for a bomb to blow.
It’s not a surprise when the explosion finally hits.
“Are you serious, Chrissy?” Jason asks, and she spins, heartbeat rabbiting in her chest to find him storming toward her. And there’s a look on his face that she’s never seen before–not even when they’d broken up that first time.
His eyes are hard, mouth open like he’s one second away from shouting, and as he speaks, both his fists clench as he steps toward her. She can’t help the way she stumbles back into Steve, feeling comforted as his arm comes out to steady her.
“You replaced me with him?” and he sneers that last word, like Steve’s gum he’s scraping off his shoe.
Jason used to go on and on about Steve back in their Freshman year, before whatever the hell that had happened with Nancy Wheeler had mellowed him out. Before that, he’d been the unmitigated king. King of the keg stand, sure, but king of the court, king of the cafeteria, king of them all, and Jason had deferred to him.
But after, as Steve closed in on himself–Carol and Tommy still distant placeholders at his sides– Jason hadn’t talked about him anymore. Like he was infected now, and whatever he had might be spreading.
Chrissy'd only liked Steve more.
So, she shores herself up with the pressure of Steve’s arm on her back and points a shaking finger directly into Jason’s enraged face. “We broke up, Jason Carver,” she says, surprised when her voice doesn’t even crack. “It’s none of your business who I see.”
Jason’s mouth hangs open, clearly shocked, and a small part of Chrissy aches for how it was before. She always thought they’d be those high school sweethearts who got married right out of college. They’d just fit, or she thought they had.
He used to be nicer, sweet almost, in the way he’d talk to her.
It’d been a long time since Chrissy would classify any of the words coming out of his mouth as sweet.
Jason’s looking between them, eyes wide, something hurt leeching in past all that anger as he says, “you’ll come back,” in such quiet assurance that it makes her gut twist.
Chrissy watches him turn and walk away, stuck in the moment, until Steve squeezes her waist and asks, “are you alright, babe?”
It’s only with the word “babe” falling out of Steve’s lips that she realizes they’ve attracted an audience. So, she smiles like she’s leading a cheer for all to see, looks up into Steve’s eyes and replies, “never better.”
They continue on their way into lunch.
Once there, she eats as Steve watches Eddie’s latest table-top rant with hearts in his eyes big enough to see from the moon. Like he hadn’t given an almost identical one the week before. Steve doesn’t seem to mind. He’s transfixed, like Eddie’s a succubus and Steve’s stuck in his thrall. Until she elbows him in the side and he goes back to his lunch after shooting her a wounded look.
Boys in love are stupid creatures, and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect this one, even if it’s just from himself.

This might be a dumb question but why was it necessary for all of his pet snakes to be killed? Why couldn't they have been transferred to another keeper or a zoo or educational facility?
Was it just that it was too hard to find someone to take them and no one had experience caring for hots so they had to be killed? Did this guy not have any irl friends that could have taken care of them while he was in the hospital?
Like, they're fucking snakes. They don't need to eat every day, they don't need to be groomed or played with or taken on walks, they live in sealed enclosures. They couldn't find anyone capable of opening the enclosure and giving them water and a f/t feeder (or whatever they eat) while they looked for a new home?
Or is there just some kind of fucked up law where he lives that says if someone can't take care of their venomous snakes then someone gets to come in and slaughter all of them?
I'm sorry for yelling in your inbox I'm just so fucking baffled by this.
It wasn’t necessary but was an outcome that any venomous snake keeper should have been able to predict.
Apparently a family member of Jeff’s surrendered the 14 snakes to the police/wildlife authorities for euthanasia. They’ve said they tried to place the snakes in various reptile facilities but were unable to find anywhere able to take them. You can’t really blame zoos for being reluctant to take these animals as they have to prioritize the safety of their current residents, and as a result are often extremely careful about new additions to a program.
It’s heartbreaking these animals died because of human hubris :(

Can we see more of Jeff and Toby also is Ben and Ej I’m the comic of not what are your headcanons for them??
Jeff and Toby have always been my favs since I was a kid, so you'll definitely be seeing more of them!
As for the comic, the whole thing is more of snippets and peeks into my interpretation of Creepypasta instead of a solid, sequential storyline, so not a whole lot is concrete, and I won't be posting a whole, fleshed out comic since it's very time consuming. I'm definitely sure Ben and EJ would show up though, especially during Jeff's directionless wanderings
Anyways, Woe! Headcanons be upon ye!
Eyeless Jack
Jack Nyras is a man just trying to survive after he had been left disabled and transformed from putting his trust in the wrong people. Even as the demon contorts and shapes it's host as if it were trying to fit itself it's host's own flesh, Jack remains conscious, all too aware of what is happening to him and the dizzying, maddening hunger that drives him forward
He's gone from a 5'6"-ish guy to a whole 6 foot something of a man after the incident. The demon disfigured and stretched his body to "make itself at home", though it isn't too obvious with his shitty posture and what he wears
He used to go to medschool and was about to graduate as a Valedictorian.
He carries a roll of surgical knives in his hoodie pocket! (My best friend gave me this idea :)))
Burn scars over his eyes! Hot tar does that to you ig, and it harmed him enough to last despite his new form's accelerated regeneration
He's still sane enough to have morals (or at least, he believes he's sane enough), so though he isn't exactly picky, he prefers kidneys since his victims would usually survive with only one, and he strikes at night when his "patients" are sleeping
He's good friends with Jeff (even if neither would admit it, ESPECIALLY not Jeff). They first started out as seeing each other as nothing more than "easy body disposal" and "free meal provider", but each time they bump into each other, they've began to get along past their perceived usefulness
BEN drowned
An angry, vindictive spirit that's been freed from the confines of where he had been sealed. Even still, he can't remember his own face, so despite his newfound freedom, he had taken the form of the model he had been using during his digital imprisonment to manifest. He now wanders the world, vengeful and curious, yearning for a peace he might never get.
His face is stuck between 2 expressions: the calm, neutral look of the elegy of emptiness (which is his usual), or a more expressive- albeit heavily distorted face- during moments of heightened emotion like anger, sadness, etc. Nothing changes from his expression, not even his mouth moves.
The latter is also a reference to how fans usually drew Ben, along with just... .EXE characters in general-
His clothes are always soggy :(
He can manipulate and change his physical form, but the binary scarred into on his calf stays no matter what he does, whether that be changing forms entirely or removing the limb from his "model", in which case the binary moves elsewhere.
Ben is telepathic. He can choose who can understand him at any given moment, whether it be a group, a pair, or a singular person. Everyone else outside of the conversation could hear only gargling, wheezing and coughing.
Avoids areas where water is usually found in large amounts. I.e, lakes, rivers, bathrooms, etc.

Old Habits Die Hard Part 5 | Bradley Bradshaw x Reader
Summary: Your embarrassment lingers, while Bradley's past finds a new way to interrupt his pursuit of you.
Warnings: Angst, swears, maybe some fluff
Length: 3500 words
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Female Reader (fuckboy college student Bradley)
Check out my masterlist
Bradley barely made it back to the house and into his bedroom before he was jerking off. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" he groaned, reaching for some tissues just in time. You were too much. It was unbelievable. He had never had to work this hard for a girl before. He had never had to get himself off this many times before sealing the deal before. He was either losing his touch, or you were different.
But as he went to flush the tissues down the toilet and saw his bedroom door on the way, he knew it was the latter. And by this point, Jeff must know you were Bradley's Sugar and that he wasn't going to give you up without a fight.
He collapsed back onto his bed and couldn't stop thinking about you. He had walked you to your final class with a semi that was definitely evident to you. It didn't matter though; you had been embarrassed by what happened in the study room, even though it was actually unbelievably sexy. Bradley had seen a lot, but no girl had ever reacted to him quite like that before. Now he was thinking about wedging that door closed next week and fucking you right on the study table.
Jeff had been right, you were a nice girl. But now Bradley knew you could also get a little dirty. This was a combination he had never had before. His cock jumped again in anticipation.
------------------------------------
You were so embarrassed, you wanted to die. You had orgasmed from rubbing yourself against Bradley in the study room, and then you had to go to class. It was bad enough that he walked you there when all you wanted to do was jump him in the middle of the sidewalk, but then you couldn't stop thinking about him while your professor lectured.
It was a combination of everything with him. He had the prettiest brown eyes and soft, wavy hair. His voice made you wet, and he smelled so good you wanted to rub yourself against him all the time. And you got carried away. You bet Phoebe never did anything so needy before.
By the time Friday evening rolled around, you were still too embarrassed to even fathom going to the party. If Janessa was ever home instead of being glued to Tyson's mouth, you might have asked her for some advice.
But you had to go. You had already promised Bradley you would be there, and he'd probably just come find you if you didn't show. He had also been texting you nonstop. So you changed into your tightest jeans and your lowest cut shirt and pulled your hair back.
"Oh my God!" you gasped when you looked in the mirror to touch up your makeup. The hickey Bradley left on your neck was darker today, and it was so noticeable, you sighed in relief that you had worn your hair down to class earlier.
You snapped a quick selfie of your neck with your head posed in an appealing way and sent it to him with the caption Do you think anyone noticed this today?
He wrote back almost immediately while you were fixing your mascara.
I hope so, Sugar. When you come hang out with me tonight, everyone is gonna know who gave you that mark. And don't you dare cover it up.
You whimpered just reading the text. Knowing you, you'd probably embarrass yourself again tonight by rubbing yourself on him in front of his fraternity brothers or something. You couldn't believe he was even still texting you. But you really did want to go to the party, because you wanted to see him, and you were curious about the state of his bedroom door.
He had told you he painted his door just for you, but were there some other names up there now as well? Were more girls trying to get his attention? You'd be tempted to scribble them out if there were.
You strolled to the Beta house, almost reaching the front porch by the time you realized you were going to have to deal with Jeff at some point.
"Shit," you muttered to yourself. You were glancing around, hoping to see Janessa, but you had no luck. You were about to text Bradley and ask where he was, but you smiled and took off in the direction of the kitchen.
When you looked inside, he was there, sitting on the counter and smiling at you in his backwards cap.
"Were you looking for me?" he asked softly as you made your way toward him.
You could feel a warmth heating your cheeks. "That depends. Were you waiting here for me?"
"Of course I was, Sugar. Missed you," he said, jumping down as you approached him.
Cautiously, you eased your hands up his chest and around his neck. You watched his unguarded eyes as a genuine smile touched his lips.
"You really missed me?" you asked, running your fingers along his neck.
He responded by grabbing your hips and kissing you. You moaned as he turned you so your backside was against the kitchen counter. He had you gently pinned there, but his kisses were unhurried and lingering, every little nip and nibble going right to your core.
His fingers felt strong through the denim fabric as he held you in place. And when you reached your fingers up into his hair and knocked his hat on the floor, he didn't stop kissing you until you gasped.
"I don't know, Sugar. You tell me," he whispered, running the tip of his nose along your hickey and making you giggle. "Does it seem like I missed you?"
You smiled as he gently kissed along the mark he'd made on your neck the previous day. "Yeah, it seems that way, Beer Boy. Shocking, considering I embarrassed myself like that yesterday," you whispered.
Bradley examined your face with a smirk. "That poor kid. He's probably still thinking about your legs and your soft moans. His dick's probably been hard since he interrupted us. Never gonna feel satisfied again."
"Bradley!" you whined, burying your face against his chest. "Stop, I'm still mortified!"
He chuckled deep in his chest, and it was such a pleasant sound, you burrowed in deeper. "Sugar, that was so hot yesterday, I'm considering begging you to do it again. I already couldn't stop thinking about you, and that just made it a hundred times worse."
You bit your lip and looked up at him, and you just knew your cheeks must have been bright pink. "I can't stop thinking about you either," you told him.
He nodded his head before kissing you once more and then he picked up his hat.
"That's just the way I like it," he told you, putting his hat on your head and leading you out into the party.
------------------------------
Bradley received a few curious looks as he led you through the house, holding your hand in his. People were used to seeing him with Phoebe or other girls wearing barely any clothing. They were not in fact used to seeing him with someone like you, and the fact that he'd put his hat on your head felt a little like he was claiming you in a way that was unlike him.
But every time you looked at him, he thought maybe he liked being this way. He liked working for and earning your attention. He liked you. He liked that you had your hair pulled up and everyone could see your hickey.
When he wrapped his arm around your shoulders and kissed your cheek, about to suggest he take you upstairs, he ran into Tyson. He watched Janessa's eyes go wide as she immediately pulled you away from Bradley and started whispering to you.
You looked at him over your shoulder and smiled, and Bradley considered dragging you upstairs like a caveman.
"I'll grab us some drinks," he told you, and with a sigh, he doubled back to the kitchen with Tyson.
"Wow, dude. Does Jeff know about this?" Tyson asked him as he rooted around in the refrigerator.
Bradley snorted. "I'm not exactly trying to hide anything."
"No. You definitely aren't." Tyson opened a can of beer while Bradley grabbed two bottles of the kind he knew you liked. He knew better than to start drinking anything stronger. "You and Phoebe off again?"
Even just the mention of her name irritated Bradley. "Yeah. For good."
Tyson just nodded his head. "That's cool. Phoebe's mean." Bradley laughed a little bit as Tyson asked, "You know Jeff is going to freak out, right?"
Bradley distracted himself by grabbing the bottle opener from the drawer and putting it in his pocket. "Jeff has been fucking freaking out since July, when I got his best friend kicked out of Beta. So why should this be any different?"
"Hey, I'm on your side man. Chase was a dick, and he had it coming. But Jeff is used to being the top dog around here. Best grades, Dean's list and all that shit."
That was the thing about Jeff; Bradley made Dean's list too, but he never made a big deal out of it. He never talked about his scholarships, or how scared he had been that he'd get kicked out of school before his senior year for fighting. If he didn't graduate from UVA on time and without debt, he was absolutely fucked.
But Bradley honestly didn't care what anyone else thought about you and him. He was certain he'd be better for you than Jeff. "Then I guess this will take some getting used to for him." He turned and left the kitchen before Tyson could say anything else.
As Bradley approached you from behind, he saw the mark on your neck again. Gorgeous. He automatically kissed you there, startling you and making you giggle.
"Beer Boy! You scared me," you told him over the music. Janessa was looking between the two of you, openly curious as he kissed your neck. Bradley wondered what you had told your roommate. Just looking at Janessa, he was almost surprised he had ever been interested in her. Thankfully she was completely distracted by Tyson now, because Bradley didn't want any loose ends.
He kissed his way up to your ear and whispered, "Wanna go upstairs?"
You turned to look at him, and the subtle nod and trusting look you gave him had his heart rate speeding up. "Let's go," you told him, heading for the stairs with Bradley at your heels.
"Enjoy his big dick," Janessa whispered to you, but Bradley heard it so clearly, he had no doubt you did too. You froze in place and shot a confused look at Janessa before looking back at him.
Bradley let his head tip back as he stared at the ceiling and took a deep breath. "Thanks a lot, Janessa," he muttered, terrified to look at your face again.
"What? It was just a blowjob. Chill out," Janessa said, but she was already on her way over to where Tyson was playing flip cup.
Bradley exhaled deeply and chanced a look at your face. Now you looked a little bit concerned, and he wished he had no knowledge of Janessa's godawful oral sex capabilities.
"When did that happen?" you asked softly. Oh fuck, you looked like you might cry. "This week?"
"Fuck. No. Not this week, Sugar. That was before I met you. And it was just one time. And nothing more."
You nodded your head, pouting at him. "Oh. I just didn't know that Janessa was on your roster."
Bradley shifted the beer bottles to his left hand and reached for you with his right. "I don't have a roster anymore," he said, his voice rough to his own ears.
You examined his face. He could just tell he was going to blow it with you. No way you'd want to be embarrassed by him. Re-painting his door was one thing, but actually being good enough was another thing entirely. And now he knew he had no chance with you tonight.
"You wanna go hang out in the living room?" he asked. "Or I can walk you home, make sure you get there safely."
Your brow scrunched up. "I thought we were going upstairs."
"Yeah, okay. We can still go upstairs. We can... drink these beers and talk."
"Sounds good," you said, taking his hand again and heading to his room.
--------------------------
You were in way over your head now. This was bad. Bradley was bad for you, and you still wanted him. You were still going to his bedroom, and seemingly nothing was going to stop you from doing whatever he wanted.
You had been wondering where Jeff was, feeling a little apprehensive about him seeing you with Bradley. Everything felt like red flag after red flag cropping up in your path, but as soon as you saw that Bradley's door was just as you had left it, you felt more at ease.
Bradley watched you skirt around the edge of his room and flip through his English 400 composition notebook. "Is one of those for me?" you finally asked him, nodding toward the beers he was still holding.
"Uh, yeah," he replied, retrieving a bottle opener from his pocket. "Learned the hard way that you shouldn't open beers for girls if they don't see you doing it. I opened six beers last year and then I had to drink them all."
You laughed and he looked up to meet your eyes. "Yeah, some guys are creepy. Don't ever give girls open drinks."
"Never again. And those weren't the good beers either, they were shit ones that I had to force down."
"That would have been fun to watch," you said as you took a sip. "So why do you let me drink the good beers?"
Bradley smiled at you. "Because you're cute. And at first it was kind of fun to irritate Jeff. But now it's because you can have anything you want, Sugar."
You rolled your eyes and tried not to grin. "Is it okay if I sit on your bed?" you asked, swallowing against the nervous feeling creeping up inside you.
"Of course," he whispered. "Anything you want."
"You can sit too, Beer Boy."
And so he did. Right next to you, so your thigh was touching his. You sipped your beer silently, unsure about how to proceed with him. Bradley had gotten you so fucking horny yesterday, you came in his lap while you were both fully clothed. When you showed up to the party tonight, he had kissed you right away. He had kissed you in front of his friends. But now you felt apprehensive, and it was hard to pinpoint what would make things better.
Just as you were about to ask him to walk you home, he said, "The thing about you is... you're different. And I'm not sure what to do."
You turned to look at him as he peeled the label off of his beer. "I'm different?"
Bradley stayed focused on peeling as he said, "No.... you're not different. Better, maybe? I'm not sure. I think... maybe I'm different now. Like, I have been for months. And I've been trying to force myself to be the same, because it seems easier. I guess. That probably doesn't make any sense." He downed the rest of his beer in one go and set the empty on his bookshelf before he looked at you.
"It kind of makes sense," you told him as you set your bottle down as well. "I tried to force myself to keep liking Jeff even though I knew I liked you better as soon as I met you," you told him with a soft laugh.
He smiled sadly at you. "Look, Sugar, I can't change what happened with Janessa, even though I wish I could. I didn't even know you were her roommate then. And... I mean, I know it's obvious how girls see me now. And I know it's not always flattering. I'm... an easy option."
You were nowhere near as experienced as he was, but you didn't see him in an unflattering way. Bradley did everything better than Jeff did. He was funnier, sweeter, more honest, he kissed you better, he only touched you when you welcomed it. You ran your hand up his thigh, and you heard his breath catch. "I can only think of flattering things, Beer Boy."
"Sugar," he whispered, pleading with you in some way.
"Did you paint your door just for me?" you asked, turning to face him.
He shook his head and licked his lips. "No. I painted it for myself, too."
You leaned in and kissed him, accidentally knocking his hat off of your own head this time. You caught him off guard, and it took a few seconds for him to return your affection, but when he did, he took your breath away.
"Sugar," he whispered against your lips, his mouth soft yet firm against yours as he pulled you onto his lap. It was like the study room, but also completely different. This time you were really alone, and could have done anything you wanted with him, but his lips were more indulgent this time. He was working you up in a different way.
He rubbed his parted lips along your neck, stroking your collarbone with his tongue. You rocked your hips against him once, and immediately you were on your back with him on top of you. A startled laugh escaped your lips as Bradley sat up and tossed your shoes across the room followed by his, and then he was on top of you again.
"Just to be clear, I don't think we should sleep together tonight," he told you softly before stroking up your sides with his thumbs and kissing your cleavage.
Your broken moan was so loud, you watched a satisfied grin spread across his face. "So you're just going to tease me then?" you asked, your voice already sounding ragged. "Tease me and send me home?"
"No." Bradley kissed the tops of your breasts, and his flushed cheeks had you squirming underneath him. "I'm going to show you how sweet you are, and then I'm going to walk you home."
"Fuck," you whined as he worked his lips and tongue against all of your exposed skin. Everything he did felt good, and you were so wet and ready for more. But he never put his hands under your clothing and never said anything more than Sugar.
You were limp and needy and barely able to reciprocate when his lips returned to yours. You could feel that he was hard where his erection pressed against your thigh. You wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled him to your core, rubbing yourself against him there.
"Bradley," you whined, knowing you didn't want a repeat of the library scenario, but you couldn't help yourself.
"You're not making my plans easy for me," he ground out. "So fucking hot."
He placed three firm kisses along your jaw and then wrenched himself out of your grasp. You could see how long and hard he was through his pants, and he adjusted himself as he sat up between your thighs. He just stared at you where you were propped up on your elbows, his eyes subtly moving along your face and your body.
When your breathing started to even out, you smiled at him and sat up. He collected you in his arms and held you for a while, letting you kiss and touch his scars.
He finally asked, "Will you let me walk you home?"
"Yes."
Bradley helped you put your shoes on and he gave you one of his sweatshirts to wear. It was huge on you, and you melted a tiny bit as he cuffed the sleeves for you. Then he kissed you against the wall in the hallway for so long, you thought maybe he was going to change his mind and let you take him back to his bed.
"It's so late, Sugar," he told you, taking your hand and walking down the stairs. The blaring music assaulted your senses once more as you both wove your way through the bodies and spilled drinks.
You'd been wondering where Jeff was earlier, and when you saw him making out with a girl from your biology lab, you felt nothing. Bradley glanced back at you, gauging your reaction, but you just smiled at him.
"Let's go," he told you, and soon you were out in the cool, night air with his arm wrapped around you and his gorgeous voice in your ears.

Father’s Day
A little something for today - I maintain the Tracys would follow the US/Europe date for it rather than AUS/NZ. That’s my excuse anyway…
💛💙❤️
It had gone well. The atmosphere had been joyful. Hugs had been plentiful and the little tears of happiness badly concealed. Every scrap of the mighty takeout feast Scott had fetched from their favourite Auckland steak house had been demolished. Balloons littered the villa. MAX, in collaboration with EOS, had created a playlist that reflected every family member’s favourites spanning a good seven decades.
There had been singing, both tuneful and otherwise.
Six cards graced the mantelpiece, each varied in decoration as befitted the personality of the giver, but all containing a version of the same message - we are so glad you are home. We missed you. We love you. All but one had some reference to pink flamingos. The sixth had a remarkably detailed diagram of Thunderbird Three’s circuit of the sun.
The Man of the Moment had finally been chivvied off to bed by his mother when his head started nodding where he sat on the couch amongst his family. In her words, nobody needed to hear his boar-like snorting, but the flicker of concern in her eyes betrayed the real need to ensure he didn’t overdo it.
The eldest son of the Man of the Moment leant on the balustrade, watching the stars come out and absently swirling the whisky in his glass. The air was still warm and he had to slowly adjust the movement of his wrist to maintain the rhythm of the rapidly shrinking ‘rocks’. He’d come to prefer it un-iced anyway, but when your long-lost father offers you a sample of his secret, secret stash… well. Scott would have taken it with gravel and he would have enjoyed it.
It was good, if a little chilly. And the day had been wonderful, if a little strange. Like stretching a muscle that had gone untested for eight years. Maybe longer.
They’d never really made a big deal of the day before that in any case - even when he was alive their father had often been absent.
But there were always cards (some somewhat delayed in receipt). And he hadn’t realised until today, until he helped Dad drag a large flat box out from underneath his bed, that every card had been kept - from the first one picked out by Mom and signed on behalf of a 2-month old Scott - right up to the year Jeff disappeared. There wasn’t even a gap whilst Scott himself had been missing, thanks to the ingrained military practice of buying and writing cards in advance of deployments. Toddler scribbles, homemade masterpieces, that 4ft monstrosity Gordon had dragged home aged 10… even the obviously-last-minute convenience store purchases hurriedly signed 3 minutes before the still-damp envelope seal was broken. All were bundled together by year, little elastic bands and post-it notes delineating the passage of time.
There had been a lot of laughter, a fair amount of cringing and a few sniffles as those were explored. Happy times.
What Scott didn’t mention, what he’d never mention, was that when Jeff went missing, the cards didn’t stop. Not completely.
Every year except the first, where everything was still so raw and chaotic the day passed with nobody even knowing what date it was, there had been three Fathers’ Day cards written by the Tracy family.
Two were quietly slipped together under Scott’s door - a rare moment of collaboration between the Tinies. They were never the traditional kind, didn’t ACTUALLY mention Fathers Day on the front, but a would be a ‘blank for your own message’ card with a funny or interesting picture. Often an aircraft or some kind of bird. The contents would often be daft nonsense - silly puns, banter about the grey hairs and denial of liability for them, once a comedy poem about an albatross and the Kraken which had kept him smiling for days. But next to the signature, there’d be a little “you’re not so bad after all” or “thanks for everything, big bro” or even once a “Just wanted you to know it doesn’t go unnoticed xxx”
Nothing was ever said, but he’d find them later in the day and squeeze their shoulders or drop a kiss on the top of each head. Maybe there would be less squabbling and teenage stroppiness that day… often there wouldn’t. But things would feel lighter between the three of them for a while.
The third card was more of a letter, more of an incoherent flood of news, worries… regrets… requests for forgiveness. But it was always folded like a card for… reasons. And then folded again. And again until it was halved 7 times and couldn’t physically be squished up any smaller. Then, late at night when everyone else was asleep it would be set aflame right here on the balcony. Scott would watch the sparks fly into the sky and nurture a moment’s foolish hope that the message would be received.
No need for that this year. Dad was right here. Scott could tell him anything he wished at any moment, seek his advice, share his concerns, ask for… approval? All of that. He was right here.
And yet…
He shook himself. And downed the remainder of the whisky, flinching a little at the cold on his teeth and eyed the glass, wondering whether he could risk another one… a less rocky one. There was time for all the talking later. When he was well. When it was safe to burden him with such things. Not yet.
His pondering was interrupted by scuffling and heated whispering from just inside the balcony door behind him. He braced himself to mediate the latest nonsense from the Tinies but all went quiet and there was just a quite clack-swish of something falling through the doorway and sliding a little across the ground. Then running feet as they departed.
He looked down to see a single blue envelope at his feet. Unaddressed but for a tiny cartoon of a child’s scooter…
He rolled his eyes. Suspecting a prank was pending but, too tired to resist the inevitable, he crouched to retrieve it and slid his finger under the flap of the envelope to peer inside. Then closed it again, hurriedly. A chunky font screamed “BESTEST DAD EVER!” from the midst of a multicoloured explosion. They’d got the envelopes mixed up, clearly. He went to call after the two idiots but they were long gone.
With a sigh, he stood back up and decided he’d better chase them down but was arrested by curiosity. Both had given Dad cards earlier… what was this for? He hoped it wasn’t a prank… he didn’t think Dad was ready for that yet… they were trying to keep surprises to a minimum until his heart started behaving more reliably.
They wouldn’t, would they?
Hmm.
He’d better check.
Leaning back on to the railings with a good portion of free space in front to fling anything unpleasant into… he pulled the card from the envelope and opened it… very carefully.
Nothing exploded. Or popped out at him. There was no glitter in his eyeballs nor squeaky earworm tunes blasted from tinny micro speakers.
And yet he gasped harshly as his heart raced and his eyes blurred with sudden tears.
The card was empty but for his name at the top, Alan and Gordon’s at the bottom and two words in the middle, underlined and emphasised with a heavy full stop:
Still True.

ugh richie getting jealous with latina reader bc he saw her dance with a guy at a family party so he decides to learn how to dance for her

“One, two… No, okay, left foot forward first remember? Try again. One, two, three…”
Tina sighed as Richie accidentally stepped on her toes again. He swore under his breath, mad at himself for not getting it right away.
It was late night at the Beef, which had been closed for hours, and Tina — the real trooper that she was — had enlisted to teach him how to dance.
"It's fucking impossible," he growled.
"I already told you, jeff, it's okay if you don't get it today. It's your first time trying," Tina said, holding onto the last thread of her patience for dear life. "We can't be here all night, you know."
"I know, I know. It's just... her cousin's quinceañera is coming up soon. Obviously, there's gonna be a lot of dancing. There's always a ton of dancing, isn't there?" He ranted, getting flustered. "Anyway, I want to show her I'm the only dance partner she needs. All night long."
Tina raised both eyebrows at this. "You're crazy, you know that?"
"Down horrendously," Carmy's voice suddenly came from outside the office, where he was leaning against the wall.
"The fuck are you doing here?" Richie spat, surprised and horrified to see him.
"Forgot something, remembered late," he shrugged, arms crossed over his chest. "Tina, please get some rest. This jagoff’s only gonna get more hysterical.”
“I’m not gonna hear the end of it until he finally gets it,” she sighed. “Carmen’s right, jeff, we can try again tomorrow.”
“Okay, alright, but just so you know…” Richie pointed at them both with determination. “I’m gonna get it right, even if you two don’t believe in me.”
Tina and Carmy shared a resigned look. When it came to you, sometimes it was impossible to get Richie to see reason.
“Well, you better practice at home, too. Else we’re not gonna get anywhere,” Tina said, heading to get her stuff from her locker.
“And you,” Richie said to Carmy. “Not one word about this. I want it to be a surprise.”
Carmy huffed in amusement, rolling his eyes. “Yeah, yeah. My lips are sealed.”

The Quest for a Name
I hope the wait was worth it loves!
February 25, 2023.
Harry. Melbourne, Australia. 12:30 PM.
The store was rather empty, which allowed me to browse and shop peacefully; Tommy and Jeff were finishing a call while I was browsing the children’s books hoping to find some to bring back home to my girls. My girls. I smiled when I thought about three of the most important women in my life back in England waiting for me to come home.
I ended up picking three books for the girls and started making my way to where Jeff and Tommy were waiting, along the way I got distracted and picked up some finger puppets for bedtime stories when suddenly someone cleared their throat behind me, when I turned, I smiled at the girl standing there, she was using my tote bag and had a nervous smile on her face.
There was something familiar of her, but I couldn’t quite place it, she gave me a tiny wave and shakily whispered, “H-hi Harry”, I smiled, “Hello, how are you?”, she smiled, “I’m good, still recovering from last night’s concert”, and it suddenly dawned on me why I knew her.
“Oh yeah! I remember you; you were with Fauve yeah?”, her eyes were full of wonder, and she smiled while nodding her head in excitement, “Yes! That was me! Oh my God, I can’t believe you remember us!”, I smiled, “Of course I do, what’s your name love?”, she smiled, “I’m Sienna”.
I smiled, “Sienna, I love your name, might just add it to my baby’s name list”, it suddenly dawned what I had said and stood up straighter, Sienna gave me a surprised look before making a sign that her lips were sealed, “You don’t have to worry, I won’t say anything, but congratulations! That is so exciting for you and Y/N”.
I gave her an appreciative nod, “Thank you, we’re really excited to add a new member to our family, and thank you for your discretion; are you attending any other shows?”, she nodded excitedly, “I am visiting my grandma in Auckland, so I will be attending that show and Sydney night two as well, I am so excited”, I smiled, “Well then, I will look for you in the crowd”.
She nodded excitedly before reaching into her bag for a notebook and a sharpie, “Would it be okay for me to ask for an autograph and selfie? I promise I won’t post or disclose it” I nodded and placed my books and shopping to sign her notebook and pose for her selfie. While she put away her stuff, I picked up my shopping and turned to give her a smile.
“Thank you, Harry, it really means a lot, and I wish you and Y/N a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery”, I nodded and placed a hand over my heart, “Thank you Sienna, and I’ll see you in Sidney and I hope to meet you again”, she waved goodbye while making her way to the teen novels and I made my way to the cashier to pay.
February 26, 2023.
Harry. Melbourne, Australia. 9:00 PM.
The call rang for a few moments before the dial changed and my little girl appeared in the screen, she had her hair pulled back with a tiny bow and her face was full of the remnants of her breakfast; yogurt which I knew was one of her favorites right now, when she noticed me, she smiled before screaming “Dada!”, I smiled, “Good morning little love, how are you? Are you eating breakfast?”
She pulled her hands to the screen so I could see the mess she was making, I gave her a surprised look so she would know I was paying attention to her, “Look at those hands! Did you have a banana?”, my smile got bigger when I heard my baby mama outside from the screen, “Say ‘no dada, today I ate peaches!’ Can you say peaches baby?”
Pippa turned to see her mom and gave her a cheeky smile before she said “Pea!”, I smiled before cheering “There you go baby! Good job!”, a few seconds later the screen moved, and I was able to see Y/N sitting there too, I smiled when I saw her reach and caress her bump, “Hi baby, you look so beautiful!”, she smiled and looked down bashfully.
“Oh you flatterer, I feel anything but”, I gave her a sympathetic smile, “How is everything going?”, she sighed, “Nights are getting to an uncomfortable point, but the pregnancy pillow and I are dating now”, I laughed, “I hope you will want to cuddle me once I’m home”, she nodded, “I will baby, I miss you so much”
I smiled before clearing my throat, “So… I thought of another name, well actually I met a fan with this name”, she took a bite of her breakfast before speaking, “Oh really? What is it?”, I smiled, “Sienna”, she swallowed before analyzing the name I told her, “Sienna Anne Styles?”, I nodded, “Well the initials would be cool huh?”
I laughed a little and smiled while at eating her eggs, Y/N spoke up, “I also thought of another name”, I yawned and signaled for her to tell me, “Amelia, and her nickname could be Millie Anne”, I smiled, “I am liking the nickname, Pip and Millie”, she laughed, “Aww that is so sweet”, I decided to tease her.
“So… is Deborah or still off the table?”, she shook her head while she laughed, “If you love it, then we can think of using it baby”, I laughed, “Nah, she deserves a unique name, just like Pippa, and we still have a few weeks to decide, yes? Let’s not forget we decided on Pippa’s name about two days before she was born”, she laughed.
“If I remember correctly, we were set on Ophelia, you even sang the song to the belly as a way to see if the baby was a she”, I nodded before speaking, “But then I read Philippa in a novel and fell in love with it”, she took a sip of her tea while cleaning Pippa’s mouth and smiled, “I remember, when you told me her name, there was something there, like a feeling of peace, of contentment, like ‘that is her name’”
I smiled, “I felt the same way, all warm and fuzzy and excited; and truth be told, none of the names we have discussed have given me that feeling, but I know we will find the name”, she nodded while pulling Pippa out of her chair and settling her on her lap, “Say bye bye to Dada baby”, Pippa smiled before pulling the phone to her face, “Dada bye!”, I laughed, “Bye baby, I love you!”
Pippa gave the phone back to Y/N and I heard her scurry to the living room where we had settled her toys right before I left, I yawned again and Y/N gave me a smile, “You should rest baby, you still have a few crazy days to come”, I nodded, “Before I go, can I see the belly?”
She nodded and smiled setting the phone on the breakfast table before pulling back a little and pulling up her pajama shirt, my heart was beating so fast from the excitement, “Look at that beautiful belly! Oh, she’s growing up so fast!”, she laughed, “Oh yes, she is definitely, oh-wait!” She sat down and grabbed the phone again turning the camera.
After a few seconds and a couple of presses to the side of the belly I saw a knee or elbow rolling around and I smiled, “Oh I miss feeling her move so much”, she laughed, “You’ll still have about four weeks of feeling her once you’re here baby”, I nodded, “And I will have a birthday celebration to make up for”, she nodded, “Rest well baby, we love you and miss you, so so much”, I smiled, “I miss you two too baby, speak tomorrow”, she nodded while blowing a kiss to her screen while I did the same, then waved goodbye and ended the call.
