My dad and I want to travel to the same place but for very different reasons

Reasons my dad wants to go to germany: my family emigrated from germany to the U.S. after WWI and my dad was stationed in germany for a time and fell in love with the country

Reasons I want to go to germany: I need to see the history of the shoah in person

Reasons my dad wants to go to israel: he wants to see where jesus was

(one) reason I want to go to israel: I want to see the remnants of the temple before it was desecrated

To be clear, though, I'm not dissing his reasons because I think they're valid reasons to go places. I'm just saying our motivations for seeing those places are so different as to be funny to me. I've been talking to him about us travelling together and I really really hope it happens. I've never been outside the country and he's been all over (he's been to places like the grand mosque in kuwait. I'm still kind of envious - I want to see everything, too!)

heya pals! thanks so much for the sweet words on my last post re: taking a little mental health break, you all really warmed my heart and i appreciate your kindness so much 💗 as you can see i've finally updated my masterlist! now you can easily scroll through and find specific posts of mine much easier. i also reformatted every main post i've ever made (it took me sooooooo long lol 😭) so every post that isn't an ask or off-topic ramble is finally aesthetically cohesive, which makes me so happy hehe. now i feel a lot less stressed about making new posts, cuz they'll all follow the same layout going forward, yay!

i am doing a single (one! 1!!) line from kind of love in noteblocks and this is why I was never a musician why is this so hard 😭

I got the actual noteblock redstone structure set up months ago and ever since then it’s been a matter of getting the right notes and this time I had to draw out a diagram of a music bar in an art app, look up what note minecraft noteblocks start on, and then sketch out roughly where each note is by ear/memory, THEN tweak the minecraft version (using debug to see which specific note my blocks are set to) and tweak my artistic representation in turn- 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
