April 1956. Dean and Jerry are on their "honeymoon" (again with these references to a married couple) while Dean and Jeanne have broken up again. I wrote it some time ago. When Dean argued with Jeanne he got along with Jerry. And vice versa.

What really happened after that April 1956? Three months before their breakup those two were on their "honeymoon"… so 1) they got along 2) they speak to each other.

And whoever wants to divide does not sign a new five-year contract!

Sorry, but I don't get Jeanne. She immediately tells Dean she will give him a divorce? Nah, this woman was a piece of work. She had another man I believe, although I'm not sure if it was before or after Dean asked for a divorce in 1969. Probably before, she was all too ready to divorce him. And Dean, with the 22 year old beauty queen. Well that sizzled fast. Dean just could never find the happiness he was looking for, and he certainly didn't find it with Jeanne. I think he married Catherine Hawn, hoping he could be happy but that didn't work either. And Jeanne darling, if Dean Martin had wanted to go somewhere with you by himself, then I assure you he would have, come to think of it, didn't Dean and Jeanne take off to Hawaii when Dean left Jerry to handle the premiere of 'You're Never Too Young' by himself? Or did the kids go along too? Or Mack Gray? Anyway, then she says Dean has never loved anybody but her. She knew better than that! It's the very reason she hated Jerry Lewis. It seemed the newspapers were Jeanne's friends back then. They appeared to be on her side and Jeanne ate it up, granting interviews like these. That woman knew what she was doing from the time she met and stole Dean from the time she finally divorced him in 1972. And I still say, the only time Dean Martin was ever happy was his early days with Jerry, BEFORE he married Jeanne.

So, I've always had this idea that the song "pacify her" fit Jeanne and Jerry's relationship like a glove, SO I WROTE A FANFIC, but it came out more fanciful and dramatic than I thought. I will publish it, under the premise that it is something fictitious, BECAUSE WHAT I WROTE THERE IS TOO FAR FROM REALITY 🗿

PHOTOPLAY MAGAZINE - June 1951:

Party Pranks: Have to tell you about the hilarious birthday party that Jerry's cute wife Patti gave for him. The reason it was so rib-splitting was because, a few nights before, Jerry and Dean, plus Janet Leigh, Tony Curtis, song-writer Mack Davis and a few chums had produced, acted, directed and generally "messed up" their version of a burlesque of "Sunset Boulevard". The Martin-Lewis film is titled "Fairfax Avenue" (that's not one of the Hollywood's swankier streets) and on this particular evening, after dinner, the film was flashed on the family screen for the forty guests. We just wish we had space to go into details about how funny a picture it was. Actually, this isn't the first one the boys had made. But maybe someday you'll see them in theaters. And you'll be surprised how many big stars (aside from Janet and Tony who just love "working" in them) have participated in the fun.

Hi everyone! My father is now in Hospice. I don't know if they only exist in Italy but a Hospice (exactly called that) is a hospital-like structure for terminally ill patients. No doctor can tell me "how long" he has left… he isn't suffering from cancer but he has heart problems. But he is there and I hope to bring him home if I am given the chance. He wants to go back at home and die at home. I go to visit him every afternoon, he is in a different town than the one where I live. I have to go there after writing this post. But I have to spend the time at home, alone when I return in the evening. Even if in reality I come back tired, especially mentally. Thank you for the get well wishes you sent to my father.❤️ Unfortunately it's too serious, he won't be able to heal. Last night, since I couldn't sleep, I started looking for photos of Jerry and Dean again and found several that (I think) I'd never seen. Now I'm sharing only this. I'll be back here tonight. (now here in Italy it is half past twelve in the morning)

Dean and Jeanne separated again in October, 1955 then Dean takes off to Vegas with Jerry? The article on the right is dated October 20, 1955. I think, according to Chris Lewis, they had made up at this time. The more I find out about Jeanne Martin, the more I'm convinced she was right in the middle of Dean and Jerry and had a lot to do with the break-up
