Gianluigi Gorgoni Display Unit, 1970s
This Gianluigi Gorgoni briar burl wood display cabinet from the 1970s, made for Fratelli Turi, is an exceptional and unique piece of furniture. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this cabinet showcases the artistic vision and craftsmanship of its designer.
The cabinet is divided horizontally into four layers and vertically into three sections. The two end vertical units serve as standalone cabinets. At the bottom of each end unit, there is a spacious cabinet that provides ample storage space. Above the cabinet, a smoked glass display cabinet allows for showcasing prized possessions. Additional shelving on top of the smoked glass display cabinet provides extra display area.
The center vertical unit flank a chest of drawers, adding a functional storage element to the cabinet. On top of the chest of drawers, there is a shelving and display area providing versatile storage options.
Supporting and dividing the three parts of the cabinet is a japonisme teak grid frame, adding a touch of natural beauty and durability. The frame features specially made 24k gold-plated hinges to fit on the grid frame, emphasizing the attention to detail and luxury of the piece. These gold-plated hinges not only offer structural support but also add a touch of opulence to the cabinet.
Throughout the design, the handles, lines, and details of the cabinet are distinctively characteristic of Gianluigi Gorgoni, as evidenced by documented advertisements from the 1970s. The designer's unique style shines through, showcasing a harmonious blend of form and function.

Pierre Vandel Burgundy Tall Etagere
An étagère, in Pierre Vandel's inimitable style, with his idiosyncratic brass stripe down the centre of the deep burgundy powder-coated aluminium frame with a sort of a floating shelves illusion. The five smoked glass shelves complete this display unit –– a design classic and perfect way to display ornaments, books and oddities.
This shelving would look amazing in most interior spaces as it still holds its modern appeal.
Please note a couple of shelves have small chips, but this doesn't really affect the look or practicality of this unit. There are some minor scratches next to the Pierre Vandel label.

Antica Athena Deer Faun Ceramic Planter
This nature inspired ceramic glazed planter by Antica Athena consists of a white deer faun with gold plated detailing. This faun brings in mind the nature and motherly love that this young deer seems to gaze at, with some humour attached to it having the plants bushing out from the top of its back. This 1980s white glazed deer faun is decorated with 24k gold-plated details.
The planter is in very good used condition considering its 40 years of age with some light wear around the top rim having some hairline thin cracks and light general wear but they will not be visible once you place a plant in it.

Antica Athena Pharaoh Ceramic Planter
This Egyptian inspired ceramic glazed planter by Antica Athena consists of a white Pharaoh’s face with gold plated detailing. The Pharaoh's face brings to mind the Egyptian revival of the Art Deco period; an era which came about due to the sheer amount of Egypt exhibitions throughout the 1960s and 1980s in Europe, a revival of egyptianism which we are reliving as of today with all the new excavations and findings in Egypt as well as their new mega museum.
Although this specific 1980s planter is a more minimal version than many of its earlier period, it still echoes the elaborate splendour of the Pharaohs with some humour having the plants bushing out from the top of his head. The death mask which dominates the face is decorated with 24k gold-plated striped details.
The planter is in very good used condition considering its 40 years of age with some light wear around the top rim, two chips which they will not be visible once you place a plant in it and some light out wear as seen on images.

Postmodern 1980s Memphis Lacquered Sideboard
This sideboard, coloured duck egg blue and composed of lacquered wood, originated in Greece in the 1980s –– a time of great prosperity for the country, but imported from Italy in the same period during the Memphis era. Elegant, refined and minimal, this modestly-sized piece consists of two identical halves, each with two doors. The doors form a V-shaped inlet at the centre that are divided by three tower like panels giving this piece lines faintly reminiscent of the Art Deco movement like most of Memphis Milano items.
The sideboard is in good condition, and would make an excellent addition to any room in the house. Its muted eggshell tone means it can fit into almost any style of interior, from the minimalism to maximalism of the Memphis group, through to a nineties post-modernism. Additionally you could add a glass top creating a shelf below and another surface on top.

Ceramic Italian Neoclassical Lamps
A bold pair of ceramic table lamps from Italy, very much in a neoclassical style and designed towards the end of the 1970s. Taking the form of a trophy urn, these lamps contain many of the usual neoclassical tropes: fluting; an organic, curved form; and neat gold flourishes, in this case finished in 24 carat gold leaf. The colour scheme is a cream and an iridescent midnight blue, giving the lamps a regal, striking look.
The lamps themselves are big, and would look amazing in all sorts of interiors. Please note that shades are for display purposes only.
The pair are currently wired to a UK plug, but this can be changed depending on the buyer’s location. The lamps take E27 screw lightbulbs.

Polygonal Black Ceramic Iridescent Lamp
A geometric table lamp, made of glazed ceramic, and finished with a leaf motif. An irregular pentagon, this piece features a jutting brass pipe running through the middle to the bulb fitting, creating a distinct left and right. Each side features iridescent leaves, that shimmer depending on the angle.
Distinctly 1980s, and broadly inspired by the angular playfulness of the Memphis Milano group, this table lamp would make an excellent addition to any room - the dark tones mean that any eighties excess is ironed out into a suave, sophistcated piece.
Please note that the shade is for display purposes only. However, if you require help looking for a lampshade, we can gladly point you in the right direction. The lamp is currently wired for EU plug sockets, but we can change this if required depending on the buyer’s location.
