Singing Cancer at my vocal class has been a trip

The first time I sang it I announced it as “we’ve got cancer” and my vocal coach wisely told me to not refer to it like that

She proceeds with “you’ve gotta be pretty ballsy to call a song cancer” and then realized as I was singing it was indeed about cancer and cried

Now whenever I’m asked what song I want to work on and I say “cancer” the pianist goes “yay!”
