Hi JC stans,

I'm delighted to announce the second edition of the Jaime and Cersei Week! This event will be hosted on this blog, and take place from October 28th to November 03rd. This year again, I have selected 14 prompts, 2 per day, with the help of @millie-55. I hope you will enjoy this event.

Here's the prompt list for the week:

Day 1 - October 28th: Youth or Hand(s) Day 2 - October 29th: Prophecy or Blood Day 3 - October 30th: Heir or Song Day 4 - October 31th: Fall or Spell Day 5 - November 1st: Sacrifice or Grief Day 6 - November 2nd: Castle or Heaven Day 7 - November 3rd: Royalty or Free Choice

🦁 You are free to interpret those prompts the way you want, and to use them as strictly or as loosely as you wish. You can go Canon, Pre-Canon, AU, Modern AU, etc.

🦁 Multiple entries are allowed. You can pick which days and which prompts you are creating content for.

Jaime and Cersei Week 2022 Day 2

Prompt: Letters

Jaime yawned as he rifled through his mail for the week. He was surprised at how much there was these days. He thought the Internet would do away with all of that. Finding nothing of note, he threw it all into the trash and went back to sleep. It was a Saturday, after all.

He awoke to a text from his sister. “Did you get my letter?” it read. Jaime shot out of bed and quickly typed out a response.

“No, when did you send it?”

“A few days ago. Check again. Don’t bother to reply.”

Jaime almost tripped walking down the stairs and started rifling through the garbage in the kitchen. He cackled loudly to himself as he finally found a small envelope that had been stuck on the back of some ad and started reading her pretty words.

Dear Jaime,

How are you? How’s your off season going? Robert and I are so proud of you. I want to hear all about it, it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other in person. My husband is off on a business trip for a week and I’ve been lonely with the children back in school. I would love it if you could stop by to chat one of these days. I miss you.

All my love, Cersei

The letter looked quite innocent from an outsider perspective, nothing wrong with a brother and sister wanting to catch up. His sister did want to hear how he’d been, after all. But she also wanted to have sex.

Jaime and Cersei Week 2022 Day 1

Prompt: Golden

Cersei sat with her back to a rock and her feet in the sand, knees close to her chest. She picked up the grains in one hand and let some slip between her fingers. As they spilled onto the fine silk and tumbled into the grooves of her dress, she noticed how each speck was a different color, but altogether the sand was golden. Sometimes she felt like that one tiny grain-an insignificant piece to make up Lannister gold.

She threw the rest of the sand away from her with a grunt and closed her eyes. It isn’t fair.

Tonight was Jaime’s last at Casterly Rock before he started his training-real training to become a knight that would take him all around the world and away from her. He’d been so happy at their big celebratory dinner father had planned that it made her sick. He didn’t even notice she’d left before desert. Nobody did.

Cersei crossed her arms and buried her face, struggling to hold back tears. She forced herself to listen to the sound of water as it hit the shoreline and drown out everything else.
