Well, I’m sure you can guess who I was hoping would be the @Mets opposing pitcher this afternoon… Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen. But it’s still a cool jersey — these were the ones worn for #July4, 2018. The @Mets got crushed by the @Angels 11-6 last night. The #halos opened the scoring with #BrandonMarsh sliding headfirst across home and continued the onslaught with two #MikeTrout homers, one by #ShoheiOhtani, one by #AndrewVelazquez and one by #JaredWalsh — who also completed the ninth cycle in franchise history (eighth player, #JimFregosi did it twice). There have only been 293 cycles in @MLB history since 1901 and I witnessed two this week (the #Mets #EduardoEscobar did it Monday night for the first one in @PetcoPark history). The @Mets get a well-needed rest today, but #baseball never sleeps! So I’m in #SanBernadino where it was 100-degrees earlier, but it’s cooling off as the sun goes down. Sometimes you have to pull out a pretty deep cut when you’re on a 10-game road trip and trying to wear a different road jersey to every game. So when you’ve collected as many jerseys as I have, there’s always at least one that hasn’t seen a ballpark in a long time. This #LucasDuda is one of them. I loved Lucas when he was knocking dingers for the @Mets and I’m happy to wear this to @PetcoPark tonight for the series finale with the @Padres.
