Check out JCB No. 69. It is 100% pinot noir from Burgundy (so not technically a Champagne, but it is one of my favorites and a great value at under $20.) "Each JCB wine is known by a number. And each number has deep significance for Jean-Charles Boisset, the collection’s creator and namesake. Jean-Charles was born in 1969, the year that mankind went to the moon. As such, 69 represents unlimited expression, freedom, creativity, intellectual revolution, artistry, and refinement. Of course, 69 is also a rosé brut based exclusively on pinot noir; a rosé that entwines masculinity and feminity." (JCB, I see what you're doing there! 🍾 ) More fun facts, if you're still reading :-), Boisset was born to a French winemaking family but moved to California in the early nineties -- he fell in love with California on a family trip in his youth -- and purchased his first winery, Lyeth Estates. In 1999 he co-founded Domaine de la Vougeraie with his sister, Nathalie. In 2003, he purchased DeLoach Vineyards in the Russian River Valley AVA, followed by Napa's Raymond Vineyards in 2009 and Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma in 2011. Get this. He is married to Gina Gallo of the Gallo winemaking family. In 2011, the couple bought Robert Mondavi's former home in Napa but have a Nob Hill pad in SFO and take frequent trips to Burgundy to visit family and make sure their twin daughters learn French. One of my favorite every day bubbles from Bourgogne is JCB 21! It has such a liveliness. On the nose 👃 hints of honey 🍯, vanilla and brioche. Conductive wine glass bases Ideum and Graphene 3D collaborated to create conductive wine glass bases, creating an experience in which the Ideum table can recognize what wine is currently on the table. This 45 minute tasting experience was developed for and in collaboration with JCB Wines for their Napa Valley tasting lounge.
