yeah so i basically just started answering questions from this ask game to get to learn n & bibi better. i'll post bibi's when i finish his lol but this took forever ngl. i didn't answer any questions that i didn't feel like answering (so a lot of stuff regarding memories or backstory bc idk yet and i didn't feel like thinking of something on the fly). anyway tho,
getting to know nathali "n" blackburn:
describe your character’s voice.
n’s voice is slightly higher pitched but is somewhat androgynous? he’s a trans man whos done some pretty extensive voice training but because before he transitioned he had a very high pitched, girly voice (he hated it so much) so he wasn’t really able to get his voice down to a super deep register. he’s very well spoken and anunciated, especially since he does have some tv-reporting training (though he really hates being in front of cameras).
2. is your character an indoor or outdoor person?
both actually! as long as he has something to occupy him n doesn’t really care where he is. he enjoys hiking, nature walks and bird watching but he also really likes reading and board games.
3. what’s your character’s favorite recreational activity?
of all the things n likes to do, his favorite activity would proooobably be hiking. its nice for him to get away from the city for awhile and just be alone from all the buzz of activity. he’s always on, waiting to hear something that can spark a story or a research binge, bc he usually mans the political and world events columns at the paper he works at and he’s DEFINITELY a workaholic. being in nature means no people and no people means no worrying about work lol.
4. what was your character’s dream job as a kid? is it different than what their career ended up being?
n didn’t really have much of a dream job when he was younger. in fact, he sort of stumbled into journalism by trying out many, many different majors when he was in college and this was the only one that stuck (and was the last one he tried lol). he didn’t really have any particular aspirations until he got into journalism and really realized how important telling the truth and debunking misinformation was and he became extremely passionate about it. college is really what helped shaped his worldview tbh lol.
5. what is the thing your oc likes the least about themselves?
some small gripes he has are things my fellow trans men/mascs can relate to is 1. his height 2. his voice. his voice peeves him more because especially when he’s frustrated or upset or uncomfortable it pitches higher which is no bueno for him. when it comes to personality and morality related gripes, he hates his tunnel-vision it can really mess him up. he’s also extremely stubborn to the point of ridiculousness- like he gets so bull-headed when he feels he’s right about something and doesn’t really like to hear otherwise. he can get very argumentative and it does bother him because its such a natural instinct for him to get defensive and argumentative.
6. what is the thing your oc likes the most about themselves?
his mental fortitude. he’s never let anyone tell him who he could and couldn’t be, what he could and couldn’t do, and what he was or wasn’t capable of. he considers himself to be a very strong person in that regard.
7. what book genre is their favorite?
when he reads books for fun, he likes books that make him question his entire worldview. because even when he’s not working he can’t give himself a break lol. so super into allegorical stories and the like.
8. what book genre is their least favorite?
he’s not a super big fan of fantasy (sacreligious tbh) but its because he usually has a hard time following what’s going on. he’s not the best multitasker, so stories where he has to learn about the setting and the characters and the rules of what’s happening just tire him LMAO.
9. what kind of music do they enjoy?
n isn’t a huge music person, its just mostly a background thing for him. he usually just listens to jazz or classical music while he works or does other things lol.
10. has your oc ever fallen in love and with whom?
oof the only person n’s ever been in love with is beau. literally all of his romantic pursuits when he was younger went nowhere and throughout college and starting his career he’s just been much more focused on those things than trying to cultivate a relationship. not that people haven’t confessed or had crushes on him, he just doesn’t have time for them looool. however, i would say that n didn’t really fall in love with bibi he grew to love him. catching feelings wasn’t intentional at all. and a lot of it does have to do with proximity and the fact that bibi likes him how he is. he’s never had a relationship or anyone respect him for his beliefs and who he is, so points for the vampire boy lol.
11. how well did your oc do in school?
extremely well. he was valedictorian in both high school and college lol.
12. where would your oc like to go on a honeymoon?
oof convincing n to take a vacation is a task and i’d like to wish you luck. however, i think if he could be convinced (which he will be lol) he’d probably like to go somewhere with a lot of history. even when not working he’s a nerd at heart lol.
13. who is your oc’s best friend?
HIS MOM lol. i don’t know too much about her yet (like her name? no idea). but it was a situation where she had n pretty young and they were pretty close throughout him growing up. even now, he doesn’t really view her as much of a parent more like an elder sibling — which makes sense since his grandparents mostly raised him alongside her and he didn’t find out that she was actually his mother until he was about 15-16 years old. it was pretty weird, however, they haven’t let it affect their relationship at all. she’s super supportive of everything that he does and always has his back (though always reminds him to be careful and not push himself too much).
14. how does your oc feel about their parents?
well, n mostly considers his grandparents his actual “parents” since they were the ones who raised him. he has mixed feelings about them. they raised him well and he wanted for nothing but they are quite conservative and he doesn’t agree with their views on a lot of things. they also don’t agree with his “lifestyle” in being trans, however, he really doesn’t give a shit about their opinions lol.
15. how does your oc feel about their siblings?
n’s an only child.
16. hobbies your oc enjoys?
n enjoys in no particular order: hiking, reading, board games, puzzles, bird watching, gaining knowledge (so like watching documentaries, reading articles and doing research in general he’s such a fucking nerd) and he used to like dancing when he was very young. he doesn’t dance much anymore now but its a bit nostalgic for him to think about and he always tells himself he’ll get back into it again (he never can make time for it though lol).
17. what are your ocs biggest flaws & biggest strengths?
n is really good at sticking to his guns and his morals however, that can also be his biggest flaw because it leads him into situations where his morals aren’t the best option. wanting peace and neutrality and seeking to create the path of least resistance— that the truth will somehow pave the way—when sometimes you have to do things you don’t want in the name of creating positive change is a huge theme of dead rites in general. and while i wouldn’t call n a complacent person or character, he does let his moral compass fuck him over sometimes.
18. how does your oc handle the death of someone they know?
not well. n doesn’t really handle extreme emotions well, they tend to overwhelm him and he prefers to defer to logic as a safety mechanism. if he can logic his way out of a situation then he doesn’t have to deal with the emotions around it. however, there's no way to not feel things when you’re sad or upset or grieving especially. so he just handles it very messily to put it mildly lol.
19. favorite food and color?
n really loves a good stew or curry. anything he can kind of dump into a crockpot and come back home to lol. favorite color is brown!
20. least favorite food and color?
really isn’t the biggest fan of fruits, they make his teeth cold and he doesn’t like that lol. he’s really a warm foods and warm flavors person. he doesn’t really care enough about any particular color to dislike any enough to mention.
21. zodiac sign?
sagittarius!
22. is your oc a dog or cat person?
n doesn’t really care for pets just because he doesn’t really have time to devote to them, but he would probably be more of a dog person. they can be trained and can be multipurposed (they can be protectors and save lives etc etc) and are devoted and energetic just like him lol.
23. when was your ocs first kiss?
it was something forgettable at a middle school dance. honestly, n remembers more how uncomfortable he was wearing a dress than the actual person or kiss itself LOL.
24. does your oc wish to be married someday?
i don’t think n would be against it but he also doesn’t really see the point of it? he’s a man married to his work and his vision, so he kind of doesn’t see the point of stopping all of the things he wants to do to tie the knot in some kind of unnecessary ceremony with a shit ton of paperwork. just being with whatever person he cares about is what matters to him lol.
#s: dead rites#lord this was long#thanks again ish for the tip i was getting so confused and irritated LOL

jazz anon is back with the "get a grip comment," i didnt see that comment at first bc theres 4k reblogs on it. i thought u were referring to breezybee who said "you dont have to interact with this post." while it seems rude in your perspective, i think my point still stands (when i said its like going to the soup store to buy clothes. or bringing up bach on a post about rock music). i think kiton (OP of the post) was fed up with everyone missing the point of their post. i think i would be a little annoyed too if i wanted to talk abt a genre important to me and everyone tagged it as people who didnt have a huge part in it or if people tagged it as fictional characters. in fact, people were tagging kiton's post with the guy from lala land, frank sinatra, and matt damon from the mr ripley movie. and then you replied to the post with a pop song, which is completely off topic. and i saw someone else tagging it as will wood, even though id say hes more rock, indie, folk, and alternative than jazz. theres so much that goes into what genre something belongs to, like how the instruments are used, how its sung, and so on. a trumpet or a saxophone being in a song doesnt make it automatically jazz. if that were the case, careless whisper would be a jazz song (its not btw). sure, saying "get a grip" may not be the most productive thing in the world, but i couldnt blame kiton for it. people kept derailing the conversation or tagging it with people who werent important to the genre in any way. and yeah kiton made a public post, so people are gonna say whatever. but its a two way street. people are gonna say whatever to the stuff you publicly post as well. in the replies section of the post, kiton does actually say why theyre upset. their replies are still on the post in case u wanted to read it for urself. id say more, but i dont want to repeat myself a bc my points are based off of what OP said.
Jazz anon hii!
Nah breezybee is fine, it didnt help my situation too much but i forgot about it pretty quickly (i also dont remember who anyone is, i didnt memorize any of the usernames)
The reason I brought up the song I did was cause I thought it was a jazz song, I don’t know what pop sounds like (or jazz apparently)
I can understand OP being fed up with people derailing it by talking about everything but jazz and I didn’t mean to be one of those people (I thought I was talking about jazz). Tbh if I was talking about, like, My Little Pony or something and people kept responding by talking about Star Stable Online or irl horse things I probably would’ve been agitated too because that was not the topic (this is just an example I’ve never talked about MLP and had someone talk about SSO)
I didn’t mean to push the situation further by throwing a screwdriver in the drill head pile, I was just unable to tell the difference -m-“
If OP is aware of me and jazz anon’s exchange, sorry about that, it was a mistake on my part ^^”
Extra: I’ve never heard careless whisper before, thanks for letting me know it’s not jazz in advance ☝️
#also if anyone that wasn’t involved with situation sees this#i personally would prefer for you to ignore it#i dont want to drag anyone else in this

We don't talk enough about how Yuji Ohno clearly loved contemporary black american & caribbean culture and music and tried very hard to capture it when he composed for lupin iii. which played a big role in bringing black music and culture to japan, as did many of his peers in the burgeoning Citypop genre.
youtube
You can hear it in The Wiz (1978) clear as day this IS the lupin soundtrack this was exactly what Yuji Ohno intro and OST track is trying to envoke. and became legendary in its own right. it sounds almost interchangeable i love that. that's just one example off the top of my head because i was taking about living The Wiz but this style of music was already a decade old by 78.
youtube
You can hear it in Issac Hayes Shaft theme lol from 1971. this is part of the blaxploitation era which was a new type of very popular detective crime & action shows in the early 70s that starred black actors and artists for the first time (but also fell into exploitative and racially insensitive themes at times hence the name. this genre VERY clearly played a huge part of the look sound and theme later used in Part 2.
youtube
as much as you had James Bond and Noir oldies and Columbo all mixed in it, you can't forget this element of early 70s blaxploitation action detective movies & tv . tho we rarely mention it and many might not realize how many lupin tropes and motifs come from black art. the Motown chorus of ladies singing lupins name. the random man just smoothly exposition dumping about how cool and sexy shaft is in the middle of the song lol. it's all there.
the adult swim bumper / promo is well aware of this and doing a parody of that old school fuckalicious blaxploitation action schlock lol. they understood the assignment it seems:
youtube
stuff like this is THE nexus origin point from which you get the iconic Lupin III funk/disco/smooth jazz sound. which blended well with the older jazzier themes from noir and bond. a music style which has carried over into the Persona series, Cowboy Bebop, sonic games and more. that's why japanese games and series with a crime and mystery theme always sound like this.
THAT is why it is called AFRO LUPIN '68. IM NOT KIDDING .
everyone say thank you Mr. Hayes lol
although speaking of. the part 1 soundtrack has a lot of a late 60s british psychedelic rock mixed in which is also so awesome. the ending song always reminds me of like Procol Harum Whiter Shade of Pale or something. the Bee Gees had a very similar shift from british psychedelic folk rock to disco cause that was just what was big and happening
youtube
youtube
We didn't circle back to black caribbean music much but this is a great example of a blend of calypso and funk getting big on the japanese music scene and the reason a lot of citypop has steal drums and latin american instruments and such. one of my all time favorite albums All of Me (1979) features mostly afrolatino caribbean music mixed with funk and motown inspired vocals and instrumentation and it's an incredibly joyous experience of music tbh. the Samba tracks on the 78 lupin ost also reflect the importance of latino and afrolatino music in all this. most "nostalgic" video games from the 80s and 90s feature music that can be considered citypop because that was the fashion and pop of the time, so you'll have Chao Garden sounding like a track straight off of any calypso mix on youtube. an example if you don't know what it sounds like off the top of your head
youtube
youtube
it is extremely joyful and exciting to understand more about where our favorite stuff comes from . because of antiblackness in america and japan (in otaku and other reactionaries who dominate anime and video game scenes tbh), the importance and iconography of black culture on japanese pop culture is often erased. a lot of this stuff is just OLD as well and not something young fans would have or would be expected to have heard of with the best of intentions. you can have the most pro-black politics and appreciation and easily just never have encountered or watched an obscure and very dated tv show from 1971 to make that connection without being directed there. so it's a fun deep dive. know your lupistory lmafo. the impact people in the world have on each other is really beautiful 🏝🎆❤️
the wizard of oz (1939) is a lot like the castle of cagliostro where the movie is full of a certain sincere lightness and hope that is cherished deeply for a reason a very good reason. but the source material and other adaptations of the wizard of oz and lupin iii are all markedly different and at times the tone will venture into dark cynical experimental and surreal. which can REALLY put people off to it when they go in expecting more of the other thing. but if you go into it expected entirely anything possible it can be REALLY cool and interesting and weird, iconic and great stuff. i love you mystery of mamo i love you The Wiz i like how you are kind of scary and would have made me cry as a child now i think you're actually like genius. and i still love you cagliostro and judy garlands oz you are literally nestled deep where my tender heart and soul are ❤️

Fuck, marry, kill: Fyodor, Satan, Diluc
Do you have any song recommendations? And do you have a favourite music genre (or one you just seem to lean toward)?
I love your blog!! Beautiful theme, beautiful writing, and a beautiful blog owner (◠‿◠✿)
Anon, you made it too easy. Kill Fyodor, without hesitation. The world would be a better place without him anyway. Fuck Satan; despite being husband material, a marriage of two people with anger issues doesn't sound good. Marry Diluc <3 The legend, the husband material; he protecc, he provides, and he got banned from Snezhnaya - how cooler can a person be?
Yes, I do!
Jazz on the Clock!! - Luxiem
Even if you're not into vtubers, this song is simply great; especially if you like jazz. It's catchy, the beat is fantastic, Shu and Mysta did a wonderful job with their singing and Luca's solo will make you swoon.
マフィア (Mafia) - Luca Kaneshiro Am I a Luca simp? Maybe. The way his voice goes high-pitched in "気に入らないか?" (2:12) Beautiful, chef-kiss. Overall, a great song if you like a deep, male voice. Bonus points for beautiful illustration and unhinged Luca!
阿修羅ちゃん - Ado Another jazz-like song (I think? I'm kinda bad at recognising genres). Great for vibing and letting out emotions - a lot of loud noises and screaming; pretty screaming, mind you. I especially love those parts:
Cheat, sneak, sneak, sneak In a storm Prance, skip, skip, skip Oh really, who cares? Understand? Understand! Save your silly talk for the afterlife Run away, escape, escape, escape As Buddha I can fly, step, step, step As you wish Understand? Understand! Even the Devil can be devoured Cheat, sneak, sneak, sneak In a storm Prance, skip, skip, skip Oh really, who cares? Understand? Understand! Might as well bleed them dry Hey, squawking so loudly Stop bowing your head to everyone
At least for me, the song gives a message of not caring what others think; the most important is to focus on yourself, don't listen to others discouraging you (Save your silly talk for the afterlife), you have only one life, so do what you want to do. If there is competition - might as well bleed them dry, and if you're not confident yourself, it's time to change it - stop bowing your head to everyone. Because, again, you have only one life, it's better to go through it doing things you love. I can't say if that was the message that Ado wanted to include, it's my own understanding of it.
レディメイド - Ado I saw someone describe it as angry jazz and I kinda agree. A great song if you want to vibe out anger. Basically, everything from ADO is great!! 百鬼祭 - dongdang I just love dongdang - covers, original songs, gimme all. Another one with strong beat, this time not jazz but I have a hard time saying what kind of genre is that... I don't a have favorite genre tbh, right now I listen to jazz a lot, although I love any song with strong beat.
and no!! You're beautiful, anon!

ok. i must know the music tastes of *preparation cough* [insert all of your ocs here] :}
Thank you for enabling me to talk about this
Kimiko Yukihira 🍳
Kimiko has her own little radio in her room and this radio is pretty much her main source of exposure to music. She therefore listens to a lot of Pop and is especially fond of the upbeat kind. Thanks to the men in her family she has been introduced to various Rock or more Alternative songs as well though.
Favorite Artists: I feel she’d like Owl City & possibly also Paramore
Hiroshi Aldini-Tadokoro ⚓️
Hiroshi listens to soft things that ease him down. His playlist is full of cute, soft-sounding pop songs and acoustic stuff.
Favorite Artists: Hm, Jason Mraz, Sleeping At Last & Ai Means Love, I think
Mika Aldini ☀️
As an avid dancer, Mika mainly listens to songs that you can also dance to. So her playlists mainly consist of very fast-paced, exciting songs. Her favorite Genre is Latin-Pop, but she listens to a lot of regular Pop as well (as long as it’s good for dancing). She also does enjoy some Reggae once in a while, especially if she does feels like relaxing.
Favorite Artists: Shakira & Jennifer Lopez
Kaori Hayama 💐
Kaori listens majorly to Soul, R&B & Blues. She considers it very relaxing and she does mainly listen to music in order to relax. Kaori does also have a little soft spot for a lot of older jazzy tunes from her mother’s favorite movies.
Favorite Artists: Aretha Franklin, Sade, Alicia Keys & Adele
Lola Nakiri 🦊
Lola is Daddy’s little girl when it comes to the matter of music. When Lola Nakiri puts on headphones, she’ll be blasting her ears off with Rock & Heavy Metal. She’s also known to have a rather impressive collection of band T-shirts. She can find some appreciation in the sassy Pop her mom listens to, but ultimately Rock & Metal is where her heart is.
Favorite Artists: Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin I guess. And probably another Metal Band. I sadly only know a few and only by name because I do not listen to Metal, ever.
Mona Nakiri 🐺
Techno. Mona walks around with her headphones a lot more than Lola does and what she listens to is all sorts of Techno sub-genres and House, with a good number of Remixes in-between.
Favorite Artists: Lea doesn’t know any tbh sfghgfhg
Takayuki Hojo 💥
Takayuki listens to Rock like the tough cookie he is. Should he ever listen to anything that isn’t Rock, his father or Suzume most likely made him listen to it. His two favorite songs of all time are “T.N.T” by AC/DC & “Eye Of The Tiger” by Survivor (Takayuki loves the Rocky movies)
Favorite Artists: As long as it’s Rock he doesn’t care who sings. Okay but he is pretty fond of AC/DC and Guns n’ Roses
Kazuo Mimasaka 💕
My boy Kazuo surely has one big playlist that is filled with nothing but the most sappiest and emotional love-ballads imaginable. And I don’t even want to think about how long it would be. Kazuo can listen to almost anything, the exception being Hardcore Gangster Rap, but what he listens to privately is...yeah, Ballads.
Favorite Artists: Lionel Richie & Celine Dion are the first names to come to my mind. “My Heart Will Go On” is at the very top of Kazuo’s playlist
Yasu Ibusaki 🌲
Shun passed his liking for Rock down to Yasu. When growing older, Yasu additionally also developed a love for all things Indie & Folkish. Has been called a Hipster for his music taste more than once by Hideyoshi.
Favorite Artists: Arctic Monkeys, Twenty One Pilots, Hozier
Chieko Marui 📚
Chieko does listen to a lot of LoFi or Movie/Video Game Soundtracks for studying and relaxation. Her favorite movie soundtrack is that of “The Theory of Everything”. However, when it comes to casual listening her mother got her into Pop. And also thanks to her father, Chieko kinda became accustomed to Pop from all decades. She majorly listens to all sorts off love songs.
Favorite Artists: TAYLOR SWIFT, Chieko is a confirmed Swiftie. Also really likes Britney Spears tho I feel.
Hideyoshi Kawashima 🎤
Hideyoshi listens mainly to things you can #party to. Out of all the characters he’s the one who keeps up with the charts the most. Likes Pop and also K-Pop! His dad did successfully get him into some HipHop as well though. Hideyoshi also has a secret soft spot for the boybands of the 90s.
Favorite Artists: Jason Derulo, Backstreet Boys & BTS
Daisuke Aoki 🎸
Daisuke is our Retro-Kid. His music libraries is mostly 80s and 70s, with some songs of the 50s and 60s that his father likes in-between. Is usually the last one in Polar Star to discover the newest hit in the charts, because he’s too busy bopping to the past. Lea can relate.
Favorite Artists: Queen, A-ha & Huey Lewis & The News
Hiraku Yukihira 🐙
Hiraku likes the modern Rock from the 2000s and 2010s. Occasionally he will stumble over something in the Indie and Alternative department and then be real proud over being the only one who knows a particular song.
Favorite Artists: Panic! at the Disco, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons
Akio Hayama 🌱
The same as Kaori. This is a thing they have in common, they both do enjoy the same music pretty much. Though I can picture Akio liking some Reggae once in a while in addition. Also just a few days ago, I established that he’s a secret theatre kid who also listens to a lot of Show Tunes.
Favorite Artists: Stevie Wonder & Marvin Gaye
Suzume Hojo 🔥
Out of all the characters in the cast, I’d say that Suzume probably has the broadest music taste. She is capable of enjoying a lot of stuff. Being the Meme-Lord that Suzume is, she does love to put on some Meme- and Guilty Pleasure songs. Though of course, there is irony playing into that enjoyment. When it comes to the songs she enjoy unironically, they’re mostly very fast-paced and energetic. I guess you could say her favorite genre is bouncy pop of all decades. Her favorite song of all time would be “Girls just want to have fun”.
Favorite Artists: Lizzo, Beyoncé and Cindy Lauper.
Shigeo Eizan 💎
Jazz is Love. Jazz is Life. Shigeo listens to Jazz ahdhd. A lot. He basically always has Jazz going on in the background when he’s working. When he finds the time to listen more attentively, he loves listening to Swing the most.
Favorite Artists: Frank Sinatra. Also likes Michael Bublé tho I feel.
Noboru Shinomiya 🍂
Noboru loves nothing more than his collection of classic French Chansons. It’s what he listens to on his long autumn walks through Paris and it makes him happy and content. He also does like the Enka-songs his mother enjoys though.
Favorite Artists: Joe Dassin and Édith Piaf
Kiyoko Saito 🌸
Kiyoko really loves Classical Japanese music a lot but she only really does listen to it on special occassions. She does also enjoy a lot of modern Pop and also K-Pop as well though and she really loves to put it on whenever she dresses up, paints her nails... etc. (Also I can see her being into Vocaloid tbh).
Favorite Artists: BLACKPINK. I can also see her liking Ariana Grande
Masashi Eizan 🍜
Okay this is our true Classic-Fanatic. All of Nene’s efforts to bring Masashi to operas, ballets and just plain classical concerts have paid off. Masashi listens majorly to Classical Japanese music or Western Classical music. He also does really like Enka.
Favorite Artist: His favorite Western composer is Beethoven, I haven’t figured out anything else yet.
Ran Mimasaka 🖋
Ran listens to a lot of operas actually ahdh because, well, she likes operas. Aside from that, she does also enjoy Rock and ChillHop though shdhf. To some this might be a weird combo, but it do be like that sometimes.
Favorite Artists: In the Rock-department it’s David Bowie.
-
I admittedly only did the most important high schoolers here, I will need a Part 2 I guess ahdhdf
But still thanks for asking ☺️
#Well#That took longer than I expected#But it was still fun ahdfhf#Gofer answering to stuffz#Shokugeki no Kimiko Stuffz

the video pans out to shots of buildings in pastel colors, the girls walking up and down confusing, illusion like sets of stairs, it’s basically aesthetic goodness. shots of planets replacing the sun in the sky. the music video contains a lot of hints into what’s going on in the odd eye circle. there was one of shot of yuki that whet viral, she was standing in front of a building with rainbow colored stairs as she held a mirror in front of her face.
the last few minutes of the music video are the girls back in the same building, staring out at the sky, this time, three translucent moons being the main thing that their gazing at. as the camera zooms in on their backs, the three girls look back together, this time, looking straight into the camera.
▸﹙ ERA NOTES ! ﹚ 。
the first they did after the album and the mv was released, was go on live, they had a following before they debuted because their company allowed them to use Instagram, you could see how excited all three girls were ( eun finally showing off that smile )
they promoted for about 4-5 weeks, even tonight they didn’t get a win, they were still super happy with how it all went down.
because the choreography was really intricate and pretty difficult, they released a dance practice and a step by step tutorial on how to do the dance properly ( thank som because she thought it was a good idea )
the girls on variety shows...a mess, they almost got in trouble because they weren’t holding back on the insults with each other and the host, som went viral for literally saying “I don’t give a fuck” to doni on idol room...quite iconic
with this also came speculations about how close the girls were to MELODY, someone released photos of Som hanging with MELODY’s Maknae, Jae, while she was still a trainee
Eun was not afraid to completely shut down questions like that, while she did get some backlash, she didn’t stop, she stated that she would rather keep the group’s personal life away from their profession
The girls were glowing through out the entire era, they trained for years and even gave up extremely important opportunities to be where they are now
almost forgot to mention that a lot of over the top, pastel makeup looks paired with colorful, coordinating outfits, they got a lot of attention for this as well, with them being considered as trendsetter because everyone else starting pulling off these looks
a lot of social media interaction and a lot of videos of serenity interacting with other kpop groups. there is an entire compilation of serenity collecting groups and making them their best friends.
▸﹙ STYLE SNAPSHOT ! ﹚ 。
3 words: over the top
it was completely over the top but..kind of in a classy, cute way..almost...?
yuki had bright pink hair, eun had black and som had a pastel purple
like I said, a lot of pastel makeup looks, they went pretty hard on the eyeshadow and rhinestones tbh
they also went hard on the embroidery and beading that was on their outfits, the girls had to be extremely careful but they still managed to dance around in them lmao

lots of trashy media. i grew up watching reality television. lots of 80s and 90s anime, too. music genres like city pop and vaporwave and plunderphonics and fusion jazz. my inspiration for this muse rolls because he evolves with real time, he’s not very static in his influences. it helps me keep things fresh, since rp isn’t writing a novel where once you write it, it’s done. i think it’s important to tackle building a character differently in a setting that’s constantly moving compared to planning a novel and not needing to expand beyond that u kno what im sayinnnnn. 𝟏𝟏. hmmmm prime numbers for the video game asks?
Listen, are you secretly a math teacher? I might not be taking a math class my first year at college but come on, I’m taking a break for a reason
JKJK, thanks for asking~
1. First game you played obsessively? To make sure I answered the right questions I double checked my math with Google and turns out, one is not prime, so there’s that fun fact for the day that I always keep forgetting
2. A game that has influenced you creatively? Writing, drawing, etc.
Pbpbppbpb, I mean, the stories from my favorite games definitely helped me get into Writing and such. I loved the idea of my characters going through the situations the characters in these games did, and slowly I learned to make my own stories instead of just... taking plots from video games and changing the characters to mine lmao
Though, my main OC going through all the Pokemon games’ plots as a singular person and interconnecting all the worlds and lore? Yeah, not getting rid of that any time soon. Pry it from my cold, dead heads. I dare ya
3. Who did you play with as a kid?
Lots and lots of online friends. I get real tired of people saying, “internet friends can’t be real friends!” because for the longest time the only people I could ever talk to were through a headset
Outside of that, I do have and had IRL friends who I played with a lot (I got a few buddies who I regularly get online with that I see in real life as well), and occasionally I play with my brother
The rest of my family and I (including my brother) also have game nights. Mostly Mario Party and other Nintendo/Mario games
5. Ever use cheat codes?
I did actually, a few times for one game. I was getting tired of dying so quickly in Don’t Starve so I looked up how to spawn certain items in the chat box with codes and stuff. I think I accidentally impulse ended that run by trying to take on that spherical-cyclops-ostrich monster because I was getting cocky and... yeah
7. Any games you have multiple copies of?
Nothing off the top of my head! With the new wave of being able to have digital libraries especially. Even as a small child I kinda saw it as a waste, so I never had more than one copy of anything
11. Have you ever made new friends from playing video games?
I don’t do that much online hunting anymore where I can voice chat, so nowadays, not really anymore, but back then, with all my Halo and other Xbox obsessions? All the time. My friends list is huge for a reason, and that’s because I never shut up lmao
13. A game you’ve never played that everyone else has?
There’s probably a lot of them, tbh. I watch a lot of Youtubers to get my fix for certain games that I don’t have the time or energy to play myself
17. Ever lose a friend over a game?
Outside of “online friends I dropped because of getting older and more mature”, not really. I’ve lost friends, but never over video games
19. Favorite handheld console?
As cliche as it is, the Switch man, holy shit. The Switch is genuinely revolutionary to the world of video games, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to live with out it
23. The game that you’ve logged the most hours into?
Hmm, if we were to go with “in general” the Pokemon franchise definitely. But if we want concrete numbers I can think of off the top of my head, Monster Hunter World is getting dangerously close to logging in 300+ hours, and following that (not very closely, mind you) would be something like Breath of the Wild or New Horizons
Listen, my friend begged me to get MHW to play with him and if there’s anything I’m grateful from him for, it would be his insistence that I get this game. It’s baller
29. What is your gaming set up?
This post is going to be twice as long because I saw the opportunity for pictures and I apologize for nothing
Computer is very basic. I don’t use my gigantic monitor for games though, because every monitor I’ve ever tried lags the hell out of my frames and I just can’t deal with that :/
Switch and Xbox! The two main consoles I play... pretty much the only ones. I had a PS3 briefly for Persona 5, but other than that, *jazz hands*
BUT THE BEST THING: I recently asked my dad to make me these controller-holding hooks for the headboard of my bed and they are the BEST THINGS EVER I love my dad
Bouns: the back of my Switch since I’m a sticker slut
31. Does the 3DS and/or Virtual Boy hurt your eyes or give you headaches?
Any screen device is bound to give me headaches from time to time. Whether it’s from staring at the brightness for too long, or because my dumbass was laying/sitting in a position that was bad for my back/neck, I will probably never know
37. Have you played E.T. for the Atari 2600? Do you think that’s the worst game ever, or do you have another nomination?
Never touched it, and while I can’t give a personal opinion on how garbage it is or isn’t, I do like the jokes that come from it :D
41. A genre that you just can’t get into?
Uh, you know what? I can’t really come up with anything. A long time ago I might have said “long, story-heavy games that take forever to complete” since I mainly watched those on Youtube, but now that I’ve played games like Persona 5 and Breath of the Wild and absolutely adored them, I don’t think I have a leg to stand on
I think I’m willing to give anything a try, but if I play it and it gets boring, then it was probably mostly because I didn’t like the story or because I couldn’t get behind the controls :P
43. Ever play games when you really should have been concentrating on something else?
Yes, all the damn time. Homework in high school that I need to work on? Latest chapter of that fic I’m supposed to be writing? Nah, gotta find all the fossils on my island before I forget to do it later, cause we all know what’s really important here
47. Do you like competitive games?
Man, my Overwatch phase consisted heavily of the competitive aspect of the game, even if the competitive side was toxic as crap. Halo online is and was the shit, always had fun with a variety of the games they came up with. SMASH, SMASH WITH MY TWO BUDDIES I MENTIONED BEFORE IS SO MUCH GODDAMN FUN YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW-
So TLDR, I do like the competitive aspect of video games a whole lot, even if the competitive stuff I mainly do nowadays is just me and my friends fighting each other in Smash at midnight lmao
53. What’s your opinion on DLC these days?
It depends on the pricing and what comes with the DLC. Each DLC is it’s separate thing, and you can really only judge them based on each individual game and what they are worth. Was the game mainly complete when you bought it? Does the DLC have actual worthwhile additions to the game itself? ETC ETC
I could make an entire essay out of this, but I’m kinda tired, and the best way to sum up my feelings is “DLCs aren’t inherently good or bad, and it sucks that certain unnamed companies have given them a dirty reputation”
59. Do you play any cell phone games?
Again with the used to. Huge mobile game phase for awhile (Clash of Clans, PUBG rip-offs, etc) but not anymore. I do have mindless, ad-riddled games if I’m bored, but even those are collecting dust at this point
61. Do you trade in your games or keep them forever?
Off the top of my head I cannot think of any time I have ever traded in a game, so I guess it looks like I keep them until they die or break lol
67. Do you have a happy gaming-related childhood memory you want to share?
Man, I have a bunch. Video games were and still are a huge comfort thing for me, so to just share one would be blasphemy. Let’s just say, video games have always brought be joy and happiness during times when nothing else could :)
Ask the gamer more video game questions
#scribeofred#answered ask#long post#video games#monhun#pokemon#nintendo#smash#stickers#AND OTHER GAMES I MENTIONED BUT CANT TAG#SORRY I WOULD SEND AN ASK BACK BUT I GOTTA ZOOM TO WORK SO YEET#THANKS AGAIN ITS ALWAYS FUN SEEING YOU IN MY INBOX

Words with Twin Nemesis
The United States is the homeland of a lot of the creatives we've had words with over the years, and Soph and Sylv, the masterminds behind Twin Nemesis are just two more US beat-smiths and creatives who just so happen to be cohesively moving sound-waves over in the USA.
The girls are tweaking valleys of bass that display a musical landscape that is infused with funk and wave wonder and this duo will intrigue like the piper, tame ones head to bop and, damn feet to tap with their select but distinguishing variety of tracks.
Twin Nems sound will either have you wishing you were out in an underground nightclub, bouncing by the speakers or, chilling at home on a rainy day with a hot cuppa. It can go both ways with these talents, something that's not easy to encourage, but these beat-smiths do so in the most pleasing matter.
Keeping their minds well and in tune away from producing through their studies in University and Med School. These two are not only fuelling their minds but the minds of their listeners worldwide.
Thank you Twin Nem and please don't let the studies led to a musical disappearance, Bass needs you both to continue your relationship and we need you to stay together, for our speakers' sake.
Much love and enjoy words with these unique talents.
Listen to Twin Nemesis, Saying Hello on Spotify -https://open.spotify.com/artist/0aSDNbyGRzbragp1DE9ZKk
Hey, Twin Nemesis thank you so much for taking the time to share words. I thought we would start will a few quick questions.
Favourite Food: Sophie - Mac and Cheese Sylvie - I love food, so that's gonna be hard! I'd say sushi, vanilla berry cake, gummy candy or Thai food :). Oh, and a juicy burger and onion rings. Favourite Beverage: Sophie - Mojito ;P Sylvie - Plain and simple, water! Stay hydrated, folks! Last track you listened to: Sophie - The Suburbs- Mr Little Jeans Sylvie - Jon Casey's 20/20 mix! That part at 1:30 is insane!! A childhood memory in regards to music: Sophie - The first song I remember is Karma Police..my mom was playing it in the car when I was like a few months old and it stuck with me. I heard it again maybe when I was 14? It was like a shot of lightening. I felt this nostalgia. It was insane. It's my favorite song. Sylvie - Without a doubt, driving with my dad in the car to Sergio Mendes and the Beatles. I grew up on Bossa Nova and Classic Rock :) First Album you ever purchased: Sophie - Ok Computer Sylvie - Sheesh, I can't recall to be honest! Most likely something from Sergio Mendes. Last Album you purchased: Sophie - Don't remember tbh Sylvie - I stream on Spotify, so I haven't quite been purchasing! Views on Cheese: Sophie - Give me all the cheese, just not the weird french ones Sylvie - Cheese is godly. The music you were listening to in Middle School: Sophie - Dubstep (UKF, etc) Sylvie - In Middle School, I was a huge fan of dubstep and drum and bass! UKF releases were the bulk of my then ITunes (rip) library! Still love both genres, especially the soulfulness of liquid drum n bass! What you like to do in your downtime: Sophie - Run around, play videogames, music Sylvie - I'm almost constantly studying, to be honest. However, if I do have a moment, I'll be reading medical journals or watching operations. I want more than anything to be an Emergency Room Physician, so I'm constantly reading articles about the ER when I find good ones.
I'll also often hop on a shift to volunteer for Crisis Text Line, a truly powerful platform where you can be there for people in difficult times <3. Spreading love and reaching out is incredibly important to me. I also spend a lot of hours as well training for fencing and at the gym for cross-training... Not much "free time" I suppose, but that's exactly how I like it! I'm a busy bee. :D Your ideal feast would consist of: Sophie - Pizza, mac n cheese, nugs. Basically all the foods that will send me to the grave. Sylvie - Probably too much food to realistically procure for one feast.
Thanks for that, so I'd like to start by asking, how did you both meet? Had you known each other long before you started making music together? Sylvie - We met in fencing in middle school and instantly became best friends. We just clicked! About a year into our friendship, I mentioned in fencing practice that I produced music, and Sophie wanted to join. We learned the ropes of Maschine together, and she picked up Logic faster than I did. Sophie proved to be a natural, and things just flowed from there!
Sophie - We went to the same middle/high school but met during fencing practice! We both fenced sabre for a couple of years and bonded through that. So probably like 2-3 years before we started making music.
How did your musical relationship start and at the beginning were you both making your own music separately? How long have you been making music together? You've been releasing music on Soundcloud for 5 or so years under Twin Nemesis. Had you been making music together even before releases such as "Nocturne"? Could you share a memory from your early days making music together that has inspired you to continue creating? Sylvie - Sheesh, I would say it's been 6 years. We waited a year before releasing. We're both perfectionists. Before Twin Nemesis, I was releasing creations on my personal account. Sophie vibed with them, and before long we were producing together. In high school we would have "production nights" where we would stay up all night and produce something on one computer, one Maschine. Right after? Dance party time. These have been some of my best memories to date. Sophie - Sylvie taught me everything about how to use Logic and Maschine when we first started! I remember during fencing practice she was talking about producing beats and I thought that was so unique and interesting since I didn't know anyone who did that. We started hanging outside of fencing at her house experimenting with the Maschine and I just fell in love.
What equipment do you guys use to create your sound? Also if it applies, what musical instruments do you both play? Does knowing how to play an instrument necessarily benefit someone trying to make beats more? Sylvie - I have background in drumming, so I gravitated towards the Maschine. I'm actually a classically trained violinist, and have been playing for 16 years! I also play the bass and drums. In terms of helping beat-making, I'm not quite sure. Plenty of really legendary beat-makers don't play other instruments-- I don't think it's needed to play anything. But I like to incorporate classical or jazz elements into my music when I can. Sophie - I do not actually play any instruments but I use Maschine as well as Logic and Ableton. I wish I understood the theory behind a lot of the music being put out today but playing by ear has worked out so far. Could you share a paragraph of what Twin Nemesis represents to you individually and also what Twin Nemesis represents to you both collectively? What inspired the name Twin Nemesis? Love it. Sylvie - Its really special to be able to make music with your best friend. To me, Twin Nemesis represents a creative outlet where we can express our feelings through a medium that has no words.
We're able to pinpoint that feeling, and hone in on the sonic experience that can deliver a sense of it into our listeners. I want to be able to uplift them, be there for them, show them that they're not alone, be their shoulder to cry on, and help them if I can with our music.
To me, it's my hope that we can help heal people with the joy of music, (cheesy as it sounds). There's no greater joy than helping others, and I hope we can do that not just in our day- to-day lives, but in our music as well.
Sophie came up with Twin Nemesis actually, and it's ironic, because I'm an actual twin. We are far from nemeses, my twin is a best friend as well, and I'm extremely lucky to have her. So there's no connection there, Sophie just thought it sounded cool. She's creative as heck!
Sophie - I think I came up with the name and honestly I think it came from the fact that Sylvie and I just looked very different (blonde vs brunette), yet we're both girls so I wanted to keep that dichotomy but also, yeah, it just sounds cool haha.
For me Twin Nemesis is a great way to relax. I just finished my BS at Cornell University and am starting medical school at UCSF so my life tends to be very busy and stressful. Making music really grounds me and I found during the most stressful times of my career I tend to create the best music. Going back to your track "Nocturne" I wanted to discuss it a little further as it is Twin Nems' earliest release that I felt contrasted it's follow up release on Soundcloud delightfully. That follow-up release was "Nostalgia". Were the contrasts in these two releases intentional or are the tracks unrelated? Can you share what making Nostalgia and Nocturne was like? And what you were trying to portray with each track? Sylvie - The two of those tracks were meant to be lofi hip-hop-esque. They were meant to evoke feelings of, well, nostalgia, from two different waveforms. For these two, we busted out our Maschines, and went for something as groovy as it was soulful.
The process was relatively simple, as we were still figuring out the ropes- chop up a sample, lay down a bass-line, and of course, drum out a groovy, swinging drum pattern. That was really it, admittedly, but we felt that there was a special soulfulness in these tracks, so we released them. Sophie - Skipping, tbh don’t remember much other than I was going thru a bad breakup and these songs helped haha I just wanted to add, back in 2015 Twin Nemesis released a track called Chapel of the Devil via Bandcamp and the sounds displayed in that beat could easily nurse a rap, you guys had skill even back then, much love. What was it like for you making Chapel of the Devil and how do you feel your style has adapted over the years since? Do you feel more confident with each release over time, or do you feel you were more confident with your earlier releases? Sylvie - Mmmm. Good question! Sophie was more involved with that one. She found the sample and chopped it nicely. I can't really take much credit for that. In terms of style, I've began to shift into more bass-music, experimental types of music and have started to produce a fair amount of lo-fi hip hop.
What does making a beat do for you? Does it help you in any personal sort of way like offer an escape? What is it that you think draws more and more people into wanting to create their own beats? Sylvie - Making a beat is an outlet where I don't have anything to lose. When I'm making music, I tap into my emotions, and if not mine, my boyfriend's, my close friends', the worlds', or even my dog's (I'm obsessed with her). More and more people are gravitating towards beatmaking because it's become more culturally relevant with the rise of Soundcloud- the ability to share your creativity with the world is unique, and the fact that everyone has access to that upload button makes music production rather appealing.
We live in a world of music-- it's all over us. To be able to create your own tunes has been an ever-present drive of humanity-- it's visceral. I gotta give one of my best friends, (an extremely talented classical pianist), Phoebe some credit for coming up with a quote that sums up why music itself is so powerful, especially in times like these--
"There’s nothing like the comfort of listening to a song that gets you. And that’s why music is so powerful, it can relate to any kind of person and make him or her feel safe and understood."
People are looking to make that song that gets them, to find that exact feeling that resonates with them and express it without words, in, what my boyfriend Jackson, (a phenomenal guitarist), describes as a medium that is visceral and can touch each and every person that listens differently.
He believes some of the beauty of music is the ambiguity of the meaning as well. I had to credit these two here for their deeply insightful thoughts.
Sophie - Refer to previous question, my life is very academically stressful so I use it as an escape away from the pressures of school. Twin Nemesis is also responsible for some bass-driven mixes that are just timeless. Listened to your minimix "That Wavy College minimix" which you both made two years ago and it is still relevant, thank you! Had you both always been into mixing or was it something you picked up along the Twin Nem journey? What gets you in the mood to want to create a mix and what inspires the tracklist you curate? Sylvie - YESSSSSS BASS MUSIC :) Mixing was something we picked up on the way. It really depends on who is making the mix. If it's Soph, it will be more melodic and rap-driven usually.
If it's me, it will be all about the drums. These are pretty consistent distinctions. The track-list is based on what has me bobbing my head and making the stank face at the moment. :)
Sophie - Sylvie makes most of the mixes and I loooove listening to them, especially when I'm studying. Her music taste really vibes with mine. I've tried making mixes but have yet to post anything....maybe soon... Twin Nemesis will also be doing a beatsfortheill mix which we are super humbled about, thank you both. What can our readers and listeners expect with this up and coming mix? Sylvie - You'll see ;) Bringing the timeline forward to a year ago, we have to discuss your track snüp, one of my personal favourites by Twin Nem that I feel perfects the sound you'd want any beat to create when you're trying the lay back, much love. How did you go about creating snüp, how long did it take you guys to make and what inspired it's creation? Sylvie - It was rather simple as well! Snoop Dogg acapella + sample chopped up + infectious drum groove + bass. Done. I would say it took us about 3 days actually.
The both of us love jazz, old school hip hop, and soul music, so we wanted to integrate the sound of old school hip hop with more "new school".
Adding the vinyl-ridden sample to a Snoop Dogg vocal was a contrast that we found worked very well, so we followed through with the idea and released it.
Sophie - I'll let Sylvie answer this one You also released a track called Echoes of the Past in the same year and it was a track that showed me that you guys could tackle any genre. It's chilled, slightly romantic and soothing on a lofi lovers ears, thank you for creating this track. What inspires your shifts in sound in general from genre to genre? And on the subject of this particular track, what was it like to put together? Were you trying to share anything subtly with this release? Sylvie - Shifts in genre are because of our extremely diverse tastes in music. We listen to music spanning almost all genres, (save country, and for me, indie).
This allows us to want to produce along the gamut of vibes! When we're especially enjoying lo-fi, like we were when we were making Echoes of the Past, we'll make lo-fi. If we're inspired by left-field bass/trap, we'll make something like Hello.Jpeg. It all depends, and there really is no specific reason for why make what we make, when we make it. It just happens that way! I wish I could say that I was trying to convey something... In regards to music-making, what draws you in about a certain sound or vocal that makes you want to sample it? Sylvie - For me it's all about the groove. You know, when a groove is just *so infectious* that you can't help but bob your head and get those chills down your spine and turn the volume up higher.
I'm a sucker for creamy keys as well, like a Rhodes sample, the Korg Triton, jazz chords, 7ths. I love old soul and jazz music :)
But also, I equally enjoy warping glitches and harsh sounds. For drum samples? Drums. Must. Slap. They have to cut through the mix and be powerful and beefy, with a liberal amount of syncopation added for that off-kilter groove. Sophie - I love oldies and sampling classical music, so if I'm listening to a random track and hear a catchy melody I download it right away and create something with it. I also am drawn to sadder more melancholy melodies. Not sure why but it's always been like that. The song that introduced me to your sound was "Hello.Jpeg" and I was blown away with this track. The intro reminded of something N.E.R.D could have produced and the bass will convert any avid bass listener, thank you again. What were you going for with this release? Did it take long to put together? Also, what do you enjoy most about this track? Sylvie - Awww sheesh, thanks! We were going for my favorite musical element, bounce. For me, that's what makes a track (in bass music).
It's gotta have that bounce. We'd been listening to Jon Casey, Tsuruda, Explore, Mr. Carmack, etc. for ages, and were hoping to achieve a similar bouncy, stompy feel.
This track by far took the longest to put together-- probably upwards of 2 weeks? There were a lot of elements there. As for the last question here, I think you can tell what I'm proudest of in this track.... (hint: the bounce). Sophie - We love experimenting with different genres and Hello.Jpeg was our jump. It was extremely fun and very natural to make...we're probably going to create more of that type. Do you have any Musical Recommendations you could share? Sylvie - Ahhh, yes. I'll go by genre.
In terms of bass and future beats, the "20/20" mix by Jon Casey is impeccable. Check out that 1:30 time stamp. "Spit That" by Chee has that groove and bass that keeps me wanting to come back for more. "Neptune" by Sam Gellaitry has an incredible groove in the second part that will have you bobbing your head, with that lush bass swirling around. You really can't go wrong with Mo Vibez either. "Hammer" by Tsuruda, "Deception" by Herzeloyde, and "React" by Chromonicci have that signature bounce that I love as well, I'm always scouting for bouncy songs.
In terms of more hip-hoppy stuff, I'm gonna have to recommend Tek.lun's "Seshat". It has that bossa nova feel I've always loved, blended with hard-hitting drums.
Drum and Bass! "Progression" by Flite. Anything by Dawn Wall. It's rolling and soulful. Speaking of soulful, soul!
Tom Misch nails it every time, and I cannot recommend Gareth Donkin's track, "Catharsis" enough. It's beautiful. See for yourself. Classic rock, bossa nova... okay, should I just make a Spotify playlist for y'all?
This could be too long.
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/27nkDj0eqPrzOl2CLGNikJ?si=btVmbVLST5SOFRqSgDs6Fw Sophie - I love Sasha Marie mixes. I've found so many songs and artists through her soundcloud page. Give it a listen. Any up and coming releases we should keep a lookout for? Sylvie - Again, you'll see ;)

What kind of music do you think the archives crew enjoys?
okAY
jon: doesn’t listen to music much, but if you subscribe to the ‘jon’s uni band was the mechanisms’ headcanon, then i think he’s obviously really into theatrical, narrative-heavy sorts of music. maybe even outright showtunes. i imagine moreso before he left school, though. nowadays, he finds it a bit distracting - he can’t really appreciate it while working, and anything too loud/intense is overwhelming and distracting. i think jon probably likes... heh, like, freeform jazz? or maybe more structured jazz genres, something semi-classical with a bit of Flavor to be fun, but it’s still chill enough to let him work while it plays in the background.
martin: a sucker for love songs, but surprisingly picky; martin can appreciate more contemporary/pop music, but for him the lyrics are pretty important so if they’re too dumb or bland he can’t jive with a song. martin listens to lots of genres but has a sweet spot for good country and likes very romantic classical music. also listens to a surprising amount of rap (it’s poetic! hard to find songs he likes/can tolerate tho)
sasha: she will listen to WHATEVER. sasha has basically no tastes. if it’s got a good beat she’ll like it; if it has funny lyrics she likes it; if it has a shitty but addictive hook she’ll enjoy it; if she can dance to it, she’ll dance; if it’s fun to sing, you bet your ass she’s gonna drag you to karaoke night (she loves karaoke) and make you sing it with her
tim: a rock man, but kinda casually. he doesn’t listen to a lot of music honestly, but if it’s got a good guitar riff he’s into it, and he likes most of the classic rock songs. loves to sing; is he good at it? that’s up to you
daisy: folksy songs, songs with stories (not too dissimilar from jon’s tastes tbh)
basira: she’ll listen to most things; usually she just turns it out while she reads. the less distracting, the better!
melanie: all sorts of shit... mostly contemporary, some experimental stuff. she likes bit music, metal, rock, EDM, some pop, etc etc. she’ll tell you she has the BEST taste but she also enjoys a lot of ‘shitty’ music and there are a lot of guilty pleasure songs she only ever sings in the shower or something

10 Underused Character Questions
Introduction -
Name: Jacqueline Dulcet
Age: 25
Your favorite picture of your muse’s fc:
Questions -
What would be their twitter name? What sorts of tweets would they tweet? Honestly, she’d just go simple with @djChatelaine for the most part, since that’s where she’d connect with her fans on social media. Her main tweets are more or less random thoughts she has throughout the day, promoting her songs and her friends songs, and then just overall posting unfortunate memes when she hits an art block. She has a lot of conversations with her fans on there.
And then she might have a totally personal account under @chatedul which is all private and lowkey, where she’s allowed to randomly vent or repost random tweets that resonate with her. She likes the funny tweets the most.
What’s their favorite genre of movies? Of music? Romantic comedies, regular comedies and action packed movies! In terms of music, she prefers Jazz or Progressive House, sometimes she likes the occasional Pop song. She has a severe hatred for dubstep though, it’s one of the genre’s she hates the most in terms of EDM.
What’s on their top queue on Netflix? She’s not really one to spend her time in front of a TV tbh because a lot of it really bores her for the most part, but for the few times she would be watching something, I would say most of it is anime actually. She enjoys shows like Akatsuki no Yona, Violet Evergarden, Fullmetal Alchemist and things like that. Something that keeps her entertained but not invested is her go to.
What’s their favorite scent? Do they smell like that? Lavender, the smell of the ocean and petrichor. And for the most part yes, she smells like lavender a lot, but also no. Often times she also smells like sulfur, because she deals a lot with pyrotechnics at her events and it gets into her hair and her clothes and literally everything.
She’s grown to somewhat like the scent of that too, actually. It’s comforting, to a certain extent.
Apple or Android? Apple.
Favorite Season? Least favorite season? Summer is her favorite, because she loves the beach and loves the sun, and just the general feeling of the summer air, but also she hates the severe heat, so so long as she’s not roasting, she’s a-okay. Least favorite would likely be Autumn tbh, she’s not so much a fan of all the dead leaves and all, even though they are very pretty, but she’d much rather take cold snow over that any day.
Are they a bottom or top or versatile? Versatile. Primarily is she a dom, but it’s only when she’s head over heels in love with someone that she’s a sub. And then she’s a sub a lot. Describe their morning routine. Do they wake up early or sleep in? Do they press the snooze button a bunch of times or do they immediately get up? It’s rare if she ever actually wakes up in the morning, often is it instead 12 noon onwards. Her body clock is wired differently since she works most of the night, so she gets home by 4am or 6am and that’s the only time she gets some sleep. She sleeps in as much as possible, because she genuinely likes her rest, but she also has a lot of interrupted sleep and insomnia so the few chances she has to sleep in and actually sleep are very important to her.
She bops the snooze button a lot when she has to actually set one, and that’s primarily the reason she’s often late to morning meetings for work. Or morning meetings in general.
Don’t set morning meetings with her, she’ll arrive at least thirty minutes late.
If they were to be compared to a canon character, who would that be? I wanna say maybe she’d have the same fan made (?) personality as Hilda/Touko from Pokemon Black? Because of the whole idea of them both being reckless and chaotic heroes and having a smidgen sense of darkness to their personalities, but otherwise, I think Jackie is in a league of her own.
Finish this sentence, muse : “What would ____ do ____ ” "What would I need to do for a proper home cooked meal right now?”

|| The Basics ||
Name: Imogene Lydia Grady-Mizrahi
Nickname(s): The above is a mouthful. Call her Gene. Do not call her Immy.
Age: 24/25
Species: Human
|| Personal ||
Alignment: Somewhere between chaotic neutral and chaotic good.
Religious Belief: Irish Catholic father, Jewish mother. Decembers were ... confusing.
Sins: Lust / Greed / Gluttony / Sloth / Pride / Envy / Wrath
Virtues: Chastity / Charity / Diligence / Humility / Kindness / Patience / Justice
Primary Goals In Life: Most of the time, it’s basic survival and to get ahead. More privately, it’s to find some kind of purpose and meaning, and to be important to someone.
Languages Known: English, fading conversational French and Italian from school.
Secrets: Before the bombs dropped, her family kept her mental health issues (cyclothymia) hidden from polite society. After, it’s the huge burn that runs down the left side of her neck and chest, courtesy of when the bombs dropped. She has a tonne of nervous habits, which she counters with some less than healthy coping mechanisms. She’s a slight kleptomaniac, and nearly painfully introverted when she’s not putting on whatever persona is needed at the time.
Quirks: She has a Receive Pronunciation English accent and a pretty raspy voice, which she can soften to a Transatlantic neutral accent if needed.
Savvies: She’s surprisingly knowledgeable with tinkering and growing crops due to her time as a land girl during the war. She’d actually make an excellent Minutemen ally if the thought didn’t bore her to tears.
|| Physical ||
Build: Slender / Scrawny / Bony / Fit / Athletic / Herculean / Babyfat / Pudgy / Obese / Other (she’s soft and pretty curvy, but also has the kind of body that gains or drops weight alarmingly, depending on her well-being).
Height: 5′3
Weight: 62kg
Scars/Birthmarks: She has a few slight burn marks to her left cheek, but her neck and left side of her chest is mottled with burned scar tissue to just under her breast.
Abilities/Powers: She’s a hell of a good shot at a distance due to her family’s interest in hunting growing up. Her and Mac fight about it, a lot. She’s also extremely perceptive and is able to mirror people quite easily, which is why she caught the attention of Deacon and the Railroad.
Restrictions: Pretty sloppy when it comes to melee combat. She gets by on pure bloodlust and size alone (she’s relatively small and quick by wasteland standards), but has no real self-awareness. This has gotten both herself, and her companions, hurt more than a few times. She also has a very addictive personality, and can easily fall into vices if she indulges too frequently.
|| Favorites ||
Favorite Food: Power Noodles, vegetable soup, Sugar Bombs
Favorite Drink: Whiskey, coffee, Nuka-Cherry
Favorite Color: Dark forest green
Favorite Music Genre: Blues, jazz.
Favorite Book Genre: Smut. Don’t tell.

Favorite Swear Word: motherfucker, shit
Favorite Scent: mint, camphor, menthol, smoke, wood, rain on skin.
Favorite Quote: Oh man, I have so many saved, but they’re context-specific to different relationships.

[ brendon urie, twenty eight, cismale, he/him ] ━ hey, I just saw [ daniel “danny” tyler ] walking down the streets of crownsville. they’ve lived in town for [ one week ], and you can catch them around town working as a [ local musician ]. I hear they’re known to be [ confident & energetic ] and [ reckless & conceited ]. if asked, they would say their aesthetic would be [ liquor, house parties, sparkly suits and jazz music ]
hi, meet my bby and pls plot with me (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
hi guys, it’s me, Carmen, this is the part where I reveal that I used to rp here around 2 months ago with a Tom Holland FC named Jake Brooks who was the biggest smoll bean in the world (here’s a link to his dead blog omg he had so much potential rip), sO YEAH PROBABLY SOME OF YOU ALREADY KNOW ME, HI THERE, I’M SO HAPPY TO BE BACK, I MISSED Y’ALL
Now I present to you my bby Danny with the lovely face of the greatest male singer of our generation aka Brendon Urie (◡‿◡✿), have some facts about him:
He was born and raised in New York, down in the streets of Brooklyn
He’s an only child and he comes from a pretty wealthy family so his relationship with his parents has always been cold and distant, they were always too busy working/making money and he was always being cared by the nanny in turn or his grandparents during the weekends
They were the typical rich parents that didn’t care much about his kid but they always gave him everything he wanted/asked for so yeah he grew up pretty lonely but spoiled too u can say
Since a young age he developed a big love for music probably bc his grandpa used to play him his Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, etc (u know, classic and amazing music) records all the time, like he would teach him about his favorite artists and little Danny was just so amazed by all of it
His grandpa passed away when he was only 15 and this was a thing that rlly affected him and he still misses him to this very day, he always cites him as the reason why he started loving music and one of his biggest inspirations
He started to play guitar at 13 when he got a guitar for Christmas and since then he’s learned to play basically every instrument but his favorite is and will always be the piano
During his middle school/high school days he was your typical trouble boy, causing trouble all over the streets of New York with fellow wealthy spoiled kids who found alcohol a fun thing to try at only 15 LMAO he also was always pissing teachers off at school and stuff (we all know a kid like this, don’t we LOL)
Before starting his senior year of high school he decided to drop out and rejected his parents offer of attending Columbia University after graduating and instead decided to move to L.A to pursue a music career, he was just too confident he’d make it and didn’t want to “waste” any more time at school and since his parents never cared enough they didn’t try to stop him but instead gave him the all commodities so he could move in there
After a few months of living in L.A he met other boys that were his age and had the same dream and bonded with them so they eventually formed a band together that they decided to name “The Lost Boys”
Explanation behind the silly band name: u know the Lost Boys from Peter Pan, well!! They related to that concept, like never wanting to grow up and being all alone without their families in L.A, idk if there’s already a band existing out there with that name if iT DOES PLEASE IGNORE IT LMAO i made it all up at 3am last night
Their genre is indie/alternative (imagine their sound arctic monkeyish like they started being teenagers and really loud but evolved into some type of jazz stuff recently as they grew older and started wearing fancy suits)
Even though they are not like Green Day or Muse famous they got their big break a while back (like those throwback songs you remember from the mid 00s that were such a classic), and they’re pretty well known around those who enjoy alternative/indie music and he’s toured all over the world with them!!
So if your character is a musician or has something to do with the music industry/music please assume the connection that they know each other bc he knows a lot of people in the scene omfg
Concerning his love life, well, since music has always been his biggest priority he’s never had a “real” relationship before like he’s had his girlfriends and stuff (most likely models bc rockstar) but he’s never fallen for someone hard enough to want to settle down and get married u know, the no strings attached relationship type are his fave thing too lmao
Personality wise he’s literally the life of the party!! like you’d never get bored around him, he’s extremely confident because he’s well aware of his talents so he may come off as cocky or vain but he ain’t an asshole LMAO yes he’s a diva that loves the attention but he’s pretty chill and easygoing, he also loves partying and liquor LOL he’s hyper 24/7 tbh
THIS IS WHERE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART COMES: he’s father of Teaegan’s (our lovely Demi Lovato fc) daughter but he has no clue yet LMAO none of them do so here I am to bring that plot alive that will kill me with all the feels (they met in L.A since they’re both musicians and had a fwb relationship), his life is about to change forever and he’d have to try and calm down his wild lifestyle bc of her precious baby Blake
He came here to Crownsville after the latest Lost Boy’s tour ended since he had friends come live here and he heard nice comments about it and he wanted to find a quiet, nice place to stay and find some inspiration for the new album, you can find him around performing jazz sets in bars (he loves jazz, in case that wasn’t clear before or obvious lmao)
He didn’t tell anybody he was coming here tho, knowing his impulsive nature he just decided last minute to move in and here he is now LOL
I think that’s it or at least that’s all I can think about I’M SORRY THIS IS SO LONG, and thanks for reading please come plot with me, i love plotting and i love u all (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
ps: please bear with me as I post my first starter and reply to a few, I’m a bit distracted bc of the Coachella livestreams, currently watching Weezer as I wait for my bby Billie Eilish omfg
