Rabbit Time
CoD - 141 x Snail (OC/Fem!Reader)

Authorâs Note : Snail is an OC that can be read as a Fem!Reader - I do my best no to describe her too much, but may sometimes say that sheâs small (height) and has long hair.
I do not give anyone permission to re-publish and/or translate my work, be it here or on any other platform, including AI.

Main Masterlist
A Little Snail Under the Rain - Masterlist
When it comes to eating, Snail isnât very picky. But her head is always so full that she sometimes forget to eat completely. She realised that Johnny usually has the same problem ; so they came up with a solution.
Shared snacks during quiet times.
Quiet times, as they both decided to call them, are moments when they unpack their things on a table, a couch, or wherever they feel like being at the moment, and do whatever they want. Be it working, doodling, writing⊠the goal is to empty their brains in a peaceful atmosphere, either in silence or while talking about anything and everything.
Most of the time, they like to sit in silence while listening to music. While Jazz is a genre they both enjoy, Snail lead Johnny to discover the magic of Animal Crossing rainy and snowy days soundtracks - which is what they now listen to 90% of the time.
And to remedy their lack of eating problems, they made a little ritual before each quiet time : preparing a bunch of snacks of all kinds to keep next to them until theyâre finished. Itâs something they discovered the one time Price offered them a big bowl of apple slices and came back a few minutes later to find it completely empty - Snail and Soap being as focused on their doodling as they were earlier.
It works wonders.
Theyâve found that while their brains are distracted, they manage eat whateverâs in their bowls. Instead of doing nothing as soon as they hit a wall in their thinking, their hands automatically wander towards the food. Itâs the same thing all the time, even when theyâre simply having one of their random discussions.
The plates always return to the kitchen completely empty.
This solution is so effective that theyâre slowly but surely including more and more healthy snacks in these quiet times. They even came to the point of simply eating salad leaves, cherry tomatoes, bits of raw cauliflower, cucumbers and carrots directly from their packaging or immediately after peeling them - which lead Gaz to compare them to rabbits once.
It stuck. They sometimes call those quiet moments « rabbit times » instead, just for fun.
Sometimes, the rest of the team joins them in these peaceful moments. Everyone is quietly doing their own thing, enjoying the music and snacks. Gaz and Roach are the ones who often decide to settle down for a minute after grabbing a cherry tomato or two while passing by. When Price and Simon are stuck in their paperwork, they also often end up with a bowl of freshly cut vegetables and a big glass of water on their desks.

Defining the 4 genres of blues music
urban blues
urban blues will have been performed in cities with significant african american populations, like memphis, detroit, chicago from the 1930s
more codified and elaborate as the performer had to adapt to a broader audience aesthetic
vaudeville blues singers were popular in the 1920s
unusual keys would be used to reach people at the back of a room, and create surprise
common themes: migration/dailylife/ social consciousness/ travel/ war/ segregation/ relationships/ activism and politics
3 major urban blues categories: sophisticated version of country blues / amplified country/ amplified jazz-inflected blues
1930s sophisticated country blues
many jazz-inflected bands toured and performed in clubs and concert venues throughout California south and south-west
1950s and 60s, urban blues would tour europe and uk, which influenced formation of blues rock groups like led zeppelin and eric clapton and the paul butterfield blues band and dire straits
almost all urban blues songs were vocals with instrumentals accompniment
followed a 3-line verse form, where the first line was repeated in the second then the thought was repeated in the rhyming third line
most verses began with a quatrain taking up the same amount of time as the first line of the standard 3line verse
the sophistiocated country blues would be backed by a guitar or piano
denser yexture and rural blues due to a complex harmony and the vocals would be ligher instead of raspy
amplified post war2 blues would see singers taking more liberties with cries, moans, hollers and melodic elaborations than chicago singers
one guitar would emphasise the rhythm, another would play melodic riffs and figures and included a harmonica too
jazz-inflected blues would have a singer, guitarist with a small jazz band (piano, bass, drums and horns), the vocals would be shouters
urban blues commented on the ups and downs of daily life, protesting mistreatment by lovers and discrimination and economic hardship
country blues
relies on the expressive power of the voice with sparse instrumental accompaniment (guitar or harmonica) which is more improvisatory and freedom than urban blues
the music of day to day life
delta blues
also known as mississippi blues
solo performances accompanied by guitar and relied on techniques like sliding of a bottle neck to blend the notes
melodic phrases on the guitar to respond to the voice in an improvised call and response pattern
song topics: failed romance, sexual escapades and tales of life on the road
high contrast to the classic blues, because this tended to be males singer- guitarists
recording of blues music was curtailed during the great depression
during ww2 traditional blues fell out of popularity
rhythm and blues (rnb)
post war african-american music
leads to white rock music which has been derived from it
a development of the sopisticated urban music which had been developing from the 1930s
large group and small group rhythm and blues
small groups would consist of 5-7 pieces and each would take their turn in the limelight
this influenced the development of rock and roll and there are no hard rules defining them from eachother so much of the music could fit both categories
by the mid 50s, much of the guitar-led electric blues music from chicago and mamphis was rhythm and blues as it appealed to older buyers
by 1960s rhythm and blues had aged with its audience
rhythm and blues has attained a new meaning due to british bands which followed, like the 'beatles' and 'rolling stones' which tended to be mod rock bands calling their work r&b to attract an audience
thoughts:
I now have a better understanding of the categories of blues music and i intend to now research different Belgian beers and beer favours so that i can find a flavour pairing for one of the each genres of beer to be based off of. i hope it will also help with the design of the packaging, looking at which are more sophisticated, what each category sings about in themes and how the music in the background might sound. this will allow me to create a visual correlation with the sound of the music for a unique take on beer packaging and to represent Blegium&Blues bar well.

Do you have any headcanons on veterans x reader on quarantine lockdown headcanons. Baking, Reading, Exercising?
Ohhhh I have so many! Thank you for this ask â€ïžÂ One of these days Iâll master the art of answering a head canon question quickly and with shorter answers. But today is not the day! Thereâs a few nsfw bits under the cut. This is over 3k words....how??Â
MikeÂ
Mike is fond of long lay-ins, itâs what he lives for at the weekend. He loves you so much and enjoys nothing more than being comfy and snuggly under a duvet with you. Eating breakfast, watching Netflix, just chilling and enjoying one anotherâs company. So during lock down thereâs gonna be a lot of time in comfy PJâs lazing around in bed.
Mike loves cooking and cooking shows! The two of you have a date night once a week where you cook together. You always light some candles, listen to jazz and have a glass of wine or two while cooking. One week you try making your own sushi, the next itâs Jamaican curry, then itâs pizza night! Trying new things is something you both love (both in and out of the bedroom *cough* more on that later.Â
When restrictions are eased a little and youâre allowed to sit outside/drive for exercise, the two of you take a long countryside drive together and find a quiet secluded spot where you can sit and have a picnic and watch the clouds go by.Â
I see Mike as a guitar kinda guy, so heâll teach you if you donât play and if you do, the two of you will enjoy spending some time writing songs together and playing along to your favourite rock and indie tunes.Â
You enjoy watching live acoustic gigs and concerts which are being streamed by artists and comedians etc. Mike encourages you to get dressed up with him, you have drinks while watching and often end up dancing as if you were at a gig in person.Â
Binge listening to podcasts together âThe Magnus Archive,â âWelcome to Nightvaleâ and âMaMbBamâ being favourites.Â
Star-gazing. Sitting outdoors at night, during the day the two of you will spend time in your garden but itâs night time you really enjoy it the most. Sitting outside on a blanket and with another over you, you make sure all the lights inside are turned off so you can enjoy watching the stars, moon, planets, satellites etc above you. You often have a glass of wine or a cocktail as you sit out there, sometimes you fall asleep in Mikeâs arms so heâll carry you up to bed.Â
Finally Mike is very good at giving you personal space, while he loves taking up new hobbies with you and spending time doing things you love together, he also knows you both need your space. It makes the time you do spend together so much sweeter.Â
Erwin
Even though you donât need to go out to work, Erwin is still up early. When he wakes he showers and then prepares for the day by making you both a delicious breakfast. Think poached eggs, grapefruit, french toast, yoghurt and fruit etc. He likes listening to the radio over watching TV first thing in the morning so you have that on for a bit.Â
You enjoy daily workouts together (with Saturday or Sunday off). Erwin takes them unsurprisingly seriously, however, he does make them fun. The two of you will have little competitions with one another and Erwin creates a workout playlist for you - itâs an eclectic mix and includes songs that you both end up singing along to.Â
Erwin loves to play the Piano but due to his work he only usually touches it a few times a month if that. With lockdown he starts playing daily, thereâs a few times when you wake up and heâs already practising - it really is beautiful. Sometimes if he knows youâre watching he may stop playing, or at least change what heâs playing to something you know so you can sing along or join in. If youâre quiet though you can stand in the door for 5-10 minutes without him realising and heâll continue to play classical music.Â
As well as the home workouts you try to go out once a week for a run, as much as Erwin just wants to get on he would never leave you behind if youâre struggling to keep up and will wait for you (heâs a gentleman after all).Â
Canvas painting, sometimes Erwin struggles with getting out or showing his emotions, after doing virtual tours of art galleries online you suggest ordering a canvas, some acrylic paint and palette knives. Itâs amazing the level of emotion you see pour out of yourself and Erwin onto the canvas, itâs incredibly therapeutic so you order more canvasses.Â
The two of you really enjoy binge watching documentary shows - you know the second Tiger King came out Erwin was all over that. Thereâs this side to Erwin that not everyone gets to see, or at least when they do itâs very rare. But during lockdown you get to experience it more frequently, he really does have a great sense of human and likes to have fun. While he enjoys documentaries about WW2, science (Unabomber: in his own words is also on the list) things like Tiger King, Dark Tourist and Louis Theroux docs are also a guilty pleasure.Â
The two of you will spend some evenings laying chess by candle light with a glass of whiskey.Â
LeviÂ
I feel to say that youâll be cleaning a lot is a little obvious and I actually think that for the most part Levi would prefer to crack on with that on his own - it gives him peace of mind and itâs something he has control over. He enjoys itÂ
Together however, expect DIY Projects or painting/decorating. Thereâs things the two of you have talked about doing for ages and never gotten round to, now you have the perfect excuse. From painting a feature wall in your living quarters to making a little step wooden step ladder for the garden that you can put potted plants on. The two of you use your time to get creative around the home.
Dancing - the form of fitness you decide to take up is dance. At first Levi scoffs at the idea but then when he realises what a work out it actually is and how much strength and flexibility is required for some of the tutorials youâre following, heâs game. The two of you end up choreographing a dance together - itâs super cute (and hot in places - oops)Â
Youâre the kind of couple others are jealous of because you just work so well together, spending the perfect amount of time doing things together and apart.Â
Being a lover of tea, Levi decides to educate you on the many different types by subscribing to a âtea loversâ subscription box. You take the time to sit with him and really enjoy each tea, just talking with no noise from the radio or TV.
Levi likes to put together tapas or cheese tasting boards, he chooses the food for the main, you put together a starter or dessert and pick the wine that goes with the flavours heâs mixing. Together itâs like a perfect harmony. You set the table, light candles, listen to jazz and itâs almost as if youâre at one of your favourite restaurants.Â
Watching Horror movies, youâve probably seen every horror movie on Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. which is available to stream come the end of lockdown. Horror was actually how you met, you were at the cinema to see âHereditaryâ and none of your friends wanted to come with you so you went alone. Levi and his friends (the other vets) were in the same screen and sat next to you. So now Levi is strangely sentimental about horror movies. Thereâs cuddling up under blankets in the living room and plenty of popcorn along with movie themed cocktails.Â
Video calls to your friends, you do more of the talking but Levi sits by you throughout and occasionally joins in. Heâs loathed to admit it but he really likes seeing everyoneâs faces and hearing their voices.Â
Moblit
Moblit has a large collection of puzzles, a few were completed when he was younger but a lot of them arenât. He used to get frustrated with them but always wanted to finish them so he could frame them and put them up around the house. When lockdown happened you think itâs the perfect opportunity for the two of you to work on them together and help him out. Turns out itâs actually a lot of fun and a pretty good was
Baking! You both love the Great British Bake Off, before lock-down you were always talking about how you wanted to give the recipes a try but of course something else always came along. Now lockdown is the perfect excuse to order some ingredients online and get baking! The kitchen often looks like a mess, Moblit gets flour on his face and even in his hair? You donât know how it happens but you have a lot of fun doing it and hey what you bake usually turns out pretty good.Â
Subscribes to Disney+ the second it comes out - and the two of you binge watch your favourite Disney movies singing along to them (I get the impression Moblit would be a huge Hercules and Moana fan).Â
Watching Avengers Infinity War together and later on in the evening he turns to you and just says, âI love you 3000.â
Bike rides through the countryside (as long as itâs close to home of course and you can stay safe!)Â
You watch art shows together (like the still life drawing classes on TV or Grayson Perryâs art class). Shows which have been made specifically now for lockdown to help inspire people to take up new hobbies. Both of you are pretty inexperienced at art or drawing so you have a lot of fun watching the shows, following the instructions and seeing where your hand and pencil lead you. You both end up discovering your own unique style of drawing - this inevitably ends up doing a still life of one another (more on this later).Â
HangeÂ
Hange really struggles with lockdown, it makes them feel pretty anxious and they hate not being able to be out and about exploring/doing their job/learning new things etc. So Hanji needs quite a bit of love and looking after, care packages for the two of you go a long way so you order nice things in the early days of lock down. Hanjiâs eyes light up when you hand them what youâve ordered.Â
Loads of gaming, you both enjoying exploring other worlds along with fantasy so everything from World of Warcraft, Skyrim, The Outer Worlds, Outer Wilds to the Final Fantasy games, The Witcher and Assassinâs Creed are all up your street. Sometimes you play alone, sometimes you watch one another play while reading magazines. Often when playing WOW you play together and share a mount, heading into raids together and working as a team. Itâs not as good as being outside and exploring the world for real but itâs pretty close.Â
Loads of movie marathons with enough sweets to make you sick, especially the gummy kind like Haribo.Â
Hange - Arguments over who loves who more, itâs usually in the middle of a TV show that youâve been really invested in but now with the impending end of the world, itâs so easy to get distracted. The âargumentsâ usually end up in pillow fights and just laying in one anotherâs arms in silence.Â
Home made science experiments - yup, you knew this was coming. Thereâs so much you can try at home with simple house hold ingredients. Hange also orders kits online so you end up growing your own crystals (not the drug kind lol), making your own âvolcanoâ, making slime, dying flowers etc. At first you rolled your eyes when Hanji suggested it but actually it turns out to be a lot of fun and itâs pretty interesting, so you end up learning something. Hanji also orders DIY Sweet kits which are as fun to make as they are to eat.Â
When it comes to heading outside to clap for key workers the two of you are gonna be dressed up to make the children smile. Youâll be banging pots and pans or possibly have a kazoo or tambourine.Â
Nanaba
Thereâs loads of Gardening, itâs something the two of you always liked but found you didnât have the time you needed to commit to it as much as youâd have liked.Â
Cuddling on the grass in your garden, rolling around enjoying the sunshine and sun-bathing side by side.
The work out of choice for the two of you is yoga. You light incense and some candles as well as listening to mediation music and just take some time out to be alone with your thoughts - together. You both agree that stretching really helps you especially where youâre working from home, itâs so easy to get back ache!Â
The two of you love dancingÂ
Nanaba decides to take up quilting and crochet. Itâs something her mother and elder sister taught her how to do but is practically a forgotten hobby. You help one another to remember the basics and decide to make a giant patchwork quilt for your sofa. You work on it together so that thereâs a part of both of you in it, you take inspiration from your garden and the world around you, even though itâs a lot smaller than it was before. If either of you prick your finger the other is there to kiss it better.
Preparing relaxing baths for one another, you enjoy much of the bath on your own but sometimes the other will sit on the toilet and read aloud or just come in for a chat. Lockdown makes you more open with one another than you were before.Â
Getting into bed early before the sun has set, you keep the curtains open so you can watch the sky turn orange. Plenty of time in bed means you have time to binge watch the latest TV shows and not feel guilty about it if you have work the next day.
Witchy things - tarot card readings, candle magic, little rituals in the garden and kitchen witch magic like making dandelion honey or moon spell cookies.Â
Below are a few nsfw thoughts (I didnât write many but a couple kept bouncing around in my mind).
Erwin -Â
Sex first thing in the morning, the kind of lazy, sleepy sex that the two of you dream of having but never have time before work. Now, you do and Erwin intends to make the most of it.Â
Also shower sex, sometimes this follows the sex in the morning so by the time you finish work youâre already feeling tired. Often it follows the workouts you do and it doesnât take either of you long to cum seeing as watching one another get sweaty and flex muscles - the tension is unbelievable.Â
If you get too distracted during the work day, either by Erwin or TV (or if you distract Erwin too much) theyâll be punishments in the form of spanking and rough sex from behind, hair pulling and all. Itâs the first time you find yourself wanting to be punished.Â
LeviÂ
Sex in spaces youâve just cleaned, itâs sort of a punishment if you back-talk him as heâll make you clean up afterwards. Secretly he loves dirtying the sheets, itâs almost like an ultimate fantasy for someone who is so clean and neat, but he really has to be in the right mood for that.Â
Lockdown is a chance for the two of you to explore some of the sexual fantasies youâve discussed but never tried from light bondage (to start) and role-play.Â
Switching, in your relationship neither one of you is particularly the dominant or submissive one continuously, rather you enjoy switching, but when you are in the role you both take it seriously. Now youâre in lockdown and itâs easy to get bored, you both agree to really extent the roles on the day youâre both in the mood, you could lead Levi round on a leash and collar all afternoon and he wonât complain.Â
MikeÂ
Checking in on you as youâre working and trying to convince you lunch break sex is definitely a thing that will help you concentrate on your important presentation in your afternoon video conference. But of course he leaves you a bit of a mess and without a minute to spare so you appear on camera looking like youâve been dragged through a hedge backwards.Â
With Mike thereâs also a lot of time to get creative in the bedroom, you have longer in the evening to take your time exploring one another and discovering new positions youâd never have thought possible.
When lockdown goes on much longer than anticipated Mike decides to turn up the creativity a notch. A rather large unmarked parcel arrives containing a latex bed sheet and sex swing, so you know youâre not going to be getting a lot of sleep for a while.Â
MoblitÂ
Kisses that last for hours, the kind that start innocently and slowly you find yourself getting worked up and wanting more but Moblit continues to tease with those kisses and will pretend he has no idea why youâre worked up. However he does go weak at the knees if you praise him so thatâs usually the way to get what you want.Â
The still life drawings of one another start off fully clothed and very quickly become nude studies. You can only take it seriously for so long before he pounces on you or you on him and itâs like âthatâ scene from Titanic within minutes.Â
Endless, almost excruciating foreplay.Â
HanjiÂ
Has always liked to have fun in bedroom, with lockdown itâs more of an excuse to dress up and play around, Iâm thinking teacher & student or Doctor/nurse & patient. Hanji really gets into the role.Â
Science experiments continue to the bedroom, you decide to give the whole electro-stim thing a go.Â
Also with the DIY sweet kits thereâs also a little left, so popping candy, expanding foam candy and more are used to adorn your bodies - it doesnât stay on long as the combination of candy and sex is too irresistible to leave alone.Â
NanabaÂ
Sex outdoors, your garden is pretty secluded. It was something you talked about doing a lot but always found your weekends were too busy with friends and others that you just never got round to it. Thereâs grass stains on your knees and your clothes and youâd both wear them with pride outside the house if you could.
Bath tub sex, even if itâs a little uncomfortable itâs so intimate and personal that you donât care how much of a mess you make or how many bruises you end up with. Lockdown hits you both hard mentally and bath tub sex is a way of feeling better and cleansed.Â
Thereâs also a chance for some sex magic which involves wax play, again, something new youâd thought about for a while and now you both just wanted something to make you feel alive.Â

nebulochaotic | j.w.w
wonwoo and haseo
genre: fluff, some angst, tension
word count: 1.9k
inspiration: the âhome runâ music video, cable girls, the roaring twenties.
note: i havenât posted a story in a while...and this is very crazy.Â
"operator seventeen, how can i help you?" the voice inquired, tone neutral and apathetic as she spoke through the phone.
"yes, could you connect me to choi seungcheol, number 808, please?" the other responded, the masculine timbre mimicking the expression from the operator.
"of course, one moment, please," came the natural response, and there came the click of a connecting wire, following by a few cranks of the dial, "hello, you have a call from 717, would you like to accept it?"
"yes, please," she heard the voice on the other end call, and she connected the two speakers, letting the conversation commence between the two men, surreptitiously scrawling down written notes until the discussion ended.
after a few moments, the woman plugged a new cable into the board, turning on the switch as she stated, "detective lee, i have some information for you."
"mr. jeon, a pleasure to meet you here," the man spoke casually, taking a seat across him on the elegant couch of the club.
"detective lee, what a coincidence," the other returned with the same perfunctory manner, though considerably terser than the former, "how can i satisfy you tonight?"
"you wouldn't happen to know any information about the diamond heist, would you, mr. jeon?" he inquired with his amiable, easygoing grin, with the underlying tones of animosity.
"i do not, detective lee, though i am surprised that you've heard of thatâi had thought it was a private subject."
"then, you are privy to the details," the latter remarked triumphantly, "are you aware of its whereabouts, or anyone that would know?"
"even if i were privy to them, the majority of what i do know is from the grapevine, although i'm curious as to how you acquired this information."
"it's like you said, mr. jeon: i heard it through the grapevine," he answered briskly before his eyes wandered to see a woman, her hair curled hair and lips painted, peering at them before averting her eyes, "either way, have a nice evening."
"to you, as well," the man bid farewell, before rising to his feet to approach the young woman, extending a hand as he inquired, "care to dance with me, miss?"
the woman took his hand and looped her arms around his neck; they swayed in small harmony, the jazz-tango trumpets and double bass permeating the void caused by silence. he took note of the way that her eyes flickered towards the clock in the corner as the sultry tones began to fade; "did you have somewhere to be?" he inquired, receiving a small nod.
"i hope i'll be able to see you again," he speaks, earning a small nod from her as she loosened his grasp, shoes clicking on the floor as she left the building.
"operator seventeen, i was wondering about something," the voice on the other end reported, "your name."
"you're venturing into dangerous waters, sir," she retorted evenly, "although, there must be a reason as to why you're curious about it now, considering i've answered your calls ever since the beginning of my job."
"well, i thought since you'd be my operator unless drastic circumstances arise, i should get to know the lady that's handling my conversations."
a faux sigh escaped her lips before she lilted, "i suppose it would be fair, considering that the chances of us intentionally crossing paths is improbableâkwon haseo."
"thank you for telling me, miss kwon; now, could you please connect me to kim mingyu, number 416?" he requested.
"of course; one moment, please," haseo's tone reverted to her proper, business tone, pleasantries aside as she plugged in the other cable to the required number, cranking to ring. "hello, you have a call from 717; would you like to accept it, sir?"
"yes, please," the other voice remarked, and as she connected the line, she attempted to funnel their dialogue to its most important, though she found herself listening more anyway, fond of the man's baritone voice.
17 carat teemed with people, dancing to the big band jazz and drinking the bootleg alcohol to forget their sorrows and menial struggles of the day. wonwoo wove his way through the myriad of touchy hands and inebriated lips, landing his dark eyes on the girl from the night prior, swirling a glass of wine between the space of her fingers. her head leaned down, almost worn as he watched her exhale shakily; "is the alcohol not sufficient for you tonight, miss?" he questioned.
"just had long workday, sir, though i appreciate the concern, nonetheless," she reassured, tone sincere and laced with the exhaustion of her day, turning her head to peer at him with a nebulochaotic smile, "i danced with you last night, didn't i?"
noting the tilt in his head, the woman attempted to repeat her statement, sighing after repeating it innumerably, though she leaned in to give him a peck on the cheek, standing up and stepping out the bar sluggishly.
"so, let me get something straightâyou have an infatuation for the switchboard operator you speak to daily, but you also have an infatuation with the woman you dance with whenever she is present here?" seungcheol inquired.
"that would summarize it," wonwoo affirmed, sighing, "both of them are charming in their ways, but i don't think it's the best idea to have a crush on a woman i've never seen and another i've never heard."
"you've never seen the switchboard operator, and you haven't heard the looker you've been giving heart-eyes to speak?" mingyu elaborated, eyes bulging widely, "wonwoo, i know you pay us and are our superior, but how exactly did you manage to find yourself enraptured with somebody knowing that that puts either woman in danger?"
"i know, mingyu, you don't need to remind me," the elder grumbled to himself, taking a sip of his scotch, "and i'm probably going to regret it if i drag her into this business."
"have you ever considered, wonwoo, that they might be the same person that you've just encountered at two vastly different points of the day?" soonyoung theorized.
"there's something offputting imagining her to be a lethargic, unamused operator with her smirking," wonwoo shook his head; his mind felt perplexed at the thought of combining the two people to create a single entity.
"soonyoung possibly is right," seungcheol affirmed, "yes, you find yourself enamored with her, but what if it isn't two different peopleâ"
"what is our status report regarding the package, seungcheol?" he cut off sharply, "we don't have much time between acquisition and transfer."
releasing a sigh, the man responded, "minghao has the package, which he received from hansol, who will have it transferred and exchanged at the telephone company."
"what time is optimal?"
"9 am sharp, and not a second later," he reported firmly, "chan will take the package and have it safely transported."
"what about other bypassersâwe can't afford to have witnesses derailing the entire operation, boss," mingyu indicated in the plan.
"well, we just don't have to be there by the time the authorities arrive," the leader remarked, smirking devilishly at the group of men, "but, anyway, enjoy the evening. after all, the night is still young."
as the group of men dispersed, another pair of steps made their way over to him, her hand extending to his shoulder, eyes glowing in concern. "i'm alright, just stressed from my workday, doll," wonwoo reassured.
a huff of sympathy blew past her lips, and she reached for his hand, rising to her feet as she tugged his body towards the dance floor, wrapping her arms around him as they sway to the big band jazz. eventually, he began to twirl her, his figure loosening with her movements, finding joy in her figure contorting and bending as he placed his hand against the small of her back.
wonwoo's period of relaxation ended abruptly, however, when the woman departed, though she leaned upwards to leave a kiss to his cheek. yet, he turned to have it land on his lips, coiling over her close before she departed, a wistful expression on his face as he spectated, a hand brushing his lips.
"haseo, please go home, doll," she heard the man on the line forebode, "i don't want you to get hurt."
"what do you mean by that?" haseo lilted, her tone slightly nervous, although she had to do her best to stifle the smirk on her lips.
"your workplace will be in danger in the next hour," he growled, "go home. if you value even a minute semblance of your life, then please evacuate the premises now, doll, for my sanity."
"i...okay," she acquiesced, "and, umm...stay safe, too, wonwoo, for my sanity," hanging up quickly before garnering suspicion from the man in question, her fingers rapidly rearranging her cable to connect to a different line.
"detective lee," haseo warned frantically, her fingernails tapping at her workstation, "i believe the exchange is occurring in an hour at the telephone company."
"how exactly did you find out this information?" the man inquired rapidly, "who told you."
"jeon wonwoo told me," she answered, "he told me to leave work to prevent inserting myself into the crossfires and becoming potential collateral."
"we'll be there promptly, but, haseo, he is aware how you acquired the information, right?"
a brief moment of silence permeated the two of them before the girl raised her voice to answer the question, "if he didn't before, then he finds out today."
his footsteps entered the building, and the others extended their guns as they circled the premises, seungcheol releasing a gunshot and eliciting screams from the men in the building.
throughout the commotion, wonwoo skirted his way through the droves of panicked people, before settling his eyes onto minghao and chan, who exchanged the parcel. before he could engage in further chaos, he felt a cock of the trigger directly by his earâ"jeon wonwoo, you're under arrest for robbery, money laundering, and for direct defiance of the volstead act."
"you have no proof of that, detective, and even if you did, they wouldn't be substantial enough to warrant a sentence."
"perhaps so, but i believe that all our evidence would be your word against your own in court, wouldn't it, haseo?" he teased, and wonwoo noted a figure in a black pantsuit, a coat over her arms as she spectated all the chaos.
feline-like eyes met large, doe-like ones, though both were unreadable as they stared at each other in the middle of their nebulochaotic surroundings.

Dark Cybertron Chapter 3: This Oneâs All About Skywarp. Honest!
Itâs a beautiful day during Cybertronâs apocalypse, and Starscream is talking to a corpse to work through his emotions. He goes through a very brief rundown of what happened last issue, I guess because Swerveâs too busy being in space to do the Story So Far, and caps it off with an apology to Metalhawk over killing him. Rattrap watches this go down in the background, because this is Skywarpâs toy tie-in issue.
After this very incriminating conversation, Starscream goes out to see to the massive crowd standing outside, including Scoopsâ little Targetmaster buddies.
I donât care for that manâs beard.
Starscream promises to go talk to the Titan, though he really doesnât want to, and Rattrap catches up to him to touch base. The two of them go to see Megatron, whoâs still trapped in the forcefield hamster ball Wheeljack stuffed inside his chest back in RID. Starscream teases Rattrap about trying to be conniving, comparing it to his own endeavors as the Decepticon SIC, and offers a bit of advice.
Implying that Starscream hasnât been flying by the seat of his proverbial pants since he became a main character in Phase Two.
Starscream, having met his daily quota of rubbing his success in Megatronâs face, goes off to see what he can do about this Titan situation.
Over at the Titan itself, the Autobots and Decepticons are duking it out, with the man of the hour gracing us with his presence.
Outstanding, you funky little robot.
Arcee tries a little banter, but it falls flat, and instead she just decides to sword fight a cat. Bumblebee asks Soundwave just what the hell he thinks heâs doing, and Soundwave gives a complete non-answer in the form of Decepticon propaganda, because anything else would make things too easy. This is where Starscream shows up and has his little chat with the Titan.
Back over in prison, Rattrapâs getting the skinny on the dark prophecy Scoop introduced into the narrative last issue. Rattrap wants to know just how this information got passed around so well outside of jail, and Scoop suggests that there are people who perhaps have a vetted interest in what may or may not be happening with Starscream. Then Rattrap makes it weird by A) not being terribly concerned about the potential end of the world and B) being impressed by the idea that Starscream somehow planned said end of the world.
This Skywarp issue is really good.
Over with the Lost Light, Ultra Magnus has taken command, and the lads are about to make the quantum jump to chase after Jhiaxus. But wait! Somethingâs off! The shipâs moving in a way that it shouldnât be! Very odd, that. Brainstorm calls with answers, asking Magnus to grab Getaway, for some frigginâ reason, and head down to the shuttle bay.
Getaway asks Magnus how it feels to be big man on campus, and Magnus seems to think itâs a bit overrated.
Wow, someone needs to go talk to Xaaron about maybe thinking through his debate topics before he posts them, so he doesnât get pegged as a space racist. The Universal Killswitch happened, like, last week, my dude.
The two of them get to the shuttle bay to discover that Metroplexâs thumb- which they picked up back in Spotlight: Trailcutter- is floating, and more or less pushing the Lost Light off-course. Getaway is pretty jazzed to see this thing on the ship, sort of missing the bigger picture. Brainstorm hypothesizes that Metroplex is using his severed thumb to guide the Lost Light to him.
Not sure why Getaway needed to be here for this.
Back on Cybertron, Everyone watches as Starscream flies up to the Titan. Arcee is ready to blast him out of the sky with a gun as big as she is, but Bumblebee wants to see where this goes. This pisses Prowl the hell off, and he starts yelling, but Bumblebee tells him to shut up. Bumblebee tells a lot of people to shut up in âDark Cybertronâ.
So weâve got a team-up going on between the Autobots and the Decepticons- Bumblebee says it isnât, but it pretty much is. Soundwave and Prowl get into a bit of a scuff, as Starscream lands and asks the Titan to chat.
Yeah, that doesnât really work out too well.
Starscream manages to escape the Titan death blast in his alt, as the poor bastards on the ground below begin to dissolve into black fizz.
But Skywarpâs okay, so it canât be all bad!
Yeeeeah, Skywarp.
Prowl starts yelling at Bumblebee again, as if he canât see that the frigginâ death wave the Titan shot out of its face is still heading for Iacon, Starscream just barely managing to stay ahead of it. He lands as it hits, screaming about how Cybertron is his and heâs not gonna let some murder energy to steal his thunder, bracing his arms out as if thatâll do anything. Everyone watching him do this has about the expression youâd expect from witnessing such madness.
As the Iaconian populace gets dusted, someone else wakes up from the dead. Itâs Metalhawk, and itâs time for him to become a tool of the narrative.
Metalhawk launches into the air and lands on top of Starscream, interrupting his personal diatribe to gripe about how he killed him. Still, there are bigger fish to fry, as he kicks Starscream through a wall and walks into the room where they keep Megatron.
Metalhawk releases Megatron from his hamster ball prison and carries him away, despite Starscream maybe insinuating that Megatron is dead somehow? Itâs not super clear. Anyway, Metalhawk must do some pretty intense arm exercises, because he carries Megatron out and shoots into the air, holding him one-handed to his side.
Eat your veggies, kids, and you too can kidnap an entire warlord.
As the city falls apart, Rattrap and Scoop enter the scene, the prison likely having collapsed in the aftershocks of the death wave. Good thing theyâre giant robots who canât be killed by mere crushing damage. Rattrap tries to connive, but Scoop is more concerned with the fact that many people are dying, because heâs a somewhat decent person. Some of these people have begun to turn on Starscream, who takes it about as well be youâd expect.
Back on the Lost Light, the lads have decided to go find Metroplex, and to hell with bringing Jhiaxus to justice. At least for now. Of course, Ratchet tries to argue that they should do what Orion wanted them to do, but Orion isnât here right now, is he? And Orion isnât the space pope at this present time, now is he? So yeah. Metroplex time. They quantum jump, ending up underwater, with said water swarming with robots. That might be an issue, especially since they donât seem to be terribly friendly.
Back in the Crystal City with Shockwave, Metalhawkâs dropped off the package, and Shockwave reminds us that he installed a space bridge in Megatronâs torso. Scientists sure do like to shove random bullshit into Megatronâs torso.
Hey.
Letâs talk about the NAILs for a second.
This is Tappet. Iâve been calling him Hat Guy up until this point, but his name is Tappet.
Everything Tappet done in the last 20+ issues of RID can be explained without him being the subject of the sentence:
The Decepticons kicked Tappetâs ass. Prowl sent Tappet to prison. Metalhawk bailed Tappet out of prison. Metalhawk brought Sky-Byte to the trashcan fire to talk to Tappet and some other neutrals. Starscream takes off his top as Tappet watches.
The point Iâm trying to make here is that Tappet doesnât actually do anything. None of the NAILs actually do anything, other than die and fill out crowd shots. Sometimes they bitch about the current situation, but even then, a lot of the time, those more vocal NAILs were actually involved in the war at some point.
This is an issue, because weâve been presented with this entirely new group thatâs in direct opposition of the war caused by every character weâd met prior to The Death of Optimus Prime.
And they have zero agency within the story. Shit just happens around them and they react. In fact, one of the major point points of RID is whether or not the Autobots should let the NAILs have agency within the very government that rules them, and it is such a point of contention that it takes literal in-story months and several disasters for them to reach a consensus. A decision that barely involves input from Metalhawk, the guy who is a NAIL, and is meant to be their advocate. Metalhawk, who is supposed to be on the same level as Bumblebee in terms of sway in the narrative.
At first, he did- he was the subtly conniving bastard who would trip Bumblebee up in front of others to make him look bad, and then deny anything of the sort happened if questioned. It was an interesting dynamic with a character that was new to the continuity. Metalhawk was interesting.
Then Starscream got involved, and Metalhawkâs role was reduced to yes-man and character motivation to both of them, because conniving is Starscreamâs thing, and obviously we canât have two bastards gang up on poor, sweet lilâ Bumblebee.
Who had a remote control that could blow up peopleâs heads if they pissed him off.
You remember when Bumblebee was the kid appeal character? Because I do.
The point is, the NAILs exist, but their existence isnât justified within the story. Theyâre set-dressing, not characters. And now Metalhawk in particular is a prop for Shockwave, and somehow I doubt the other guys are going to be doing a hell of a lot in this story.
I dunno, it just seems like a bit of a waste.
Anyway, Skywarp sure was present in his toy tie-in issue, huh? Remember when he did that thing? And the stuff? Ah man, that was so cool!
Yeah, someone probably crossed their Iâs and dotted their Tâs on this one, because Iâm pretty frigginâ sure this wasnât meant to be his, even if the exclusive cover says otherwise.

The Sopranosâ Best End Credit Songs
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
There are so many legendary aspects of The Sopranos that itâs hard to pick just one. Between masterful storytelling, deep character development, and uncanny acting, everything comes together to create a show that has been enjoyed for over two decades now. The most artistic aspect of the package, however, may just be the use of music, specifically the unique songs curated personally by creator David Chase that run during each episodeâs end credits.Â
Ranging from oldies, foreign ballads, jazz compositions, and pure instrumentals, the variety is stunning and can keep you exploring the track list of the series for days. Weâve decided to narrow all of the end credit songs down to the best 15 in the series, listed in chronological order of airing. Enjoy!Â
Season 1 Episode 4: MeadowlandsÂ
âLook on Down from the Bridgeâ by Mazzy Star
The nice father-son moment between Tony and A.J. at the closing of this episode is accompanied by this beautiful track from Mazzy Star. A.J. sees his dad in a whole new light after Meadow tells him that heâs in the mafia, but a simple smile and wink from Tony reassures the youngest Soprano child that he certainly will still âlook on down from the bridgeâ and see his family as the only priority in his life, no matter what criminal occupation he tries to hide on a daily basis.Â
Season 1 Episode 7: Down NeckÂ
âWhite Rabbitâ by Jefferson Airplane
This one follows the pattern of the show choosing to play a song earlier in an episode and then again during the final scene and credits. The Jefferson Airplane hit refers to drug use and being intoxicated, therefore changing as a person in the process. The song plays when Tony is taking prozac mid-episode and during the final scene in which Tony and A.J share an ice cream sundae and some whip cream together. No matter how much the therapy and the meds try to alter Tonyâs life, heâll remain the same man: a depressed mobster and a father who softens for his children.Â
Season 2 Episode 10: Bust OutÂ
âWheel in the Skyâ by Journey
If you havenât noticed by the time youâre done watching the show, The Sopranos loves to point out how trapped all of the characters are in the lifestyles they have either chosen or been forced into. Tony has betrayal surrounding him at every corner at the end of the second season: Richie and Janice plotting his removal, Carmela falling for a painter who is working in the family home, and Pussyâs FBI informancy reaching a climax. Still, the âwheel in the sky keeps on turningâ. Tony finishes the episode having some fun with A.J. on the Stugotz, and he doesnât âknow where heâll be tomorrowâ but heâll enjoy the time he has in the present.Â
Season 2 Episode 12: The Knight in White Satin ArmorÂ
âI Saved the World Todayâ by the Eurythmics
Tony returns home after disposing of Richie Aprileâs body because Janice shot him to death over a domestic dispute. After informing Carmela of the nightâs bloody events, she quickly moves on to the list of chores and homemaker responsibilities she is going to lay at Tonyâs feet for the next week while she goes on vacation with Ro Aprile. This apt song from the Eurythmics exemplifies everything Tony has to be in the lives of friends and family around him: always there to save the world for them.
Season 3 Episode 4: Employee of the MonthÂ
âFishermanâs Daughterâ by Daniel Lanois
This Dr. Melfi-centric episode is one of the most deservedly acclaimed hours in the dramaâs history. When the final scene gives her a chance to let Tony loose on the monster who assaulted her, she powerfully takes the moral route and declines his services. The camera pans to black solemnly with this haunting instrumental track by Daniel Lanois, a perfect backdrop to allow the audience to ponder everything that just happened and why Melfi was able to maintain strength that so many others wouldnât have mustered. Anything with singing would have detracted from the environment the writers were trying to create, so this is a great song choice.Â
Season 3 Episode 12: Amour FouÂ
âAffectionâ by Little Steven and the Lost Boys
The penultimate episode of the third season features the climax of the relationship between Tony and Gloria, in which the crazy affection that they have for one another boils over into violence. Yet another of the brilliant musical choices this show made was to use the same song twice: once earlier in an episode, and then again in the final scene and credits. This tune, sung by Silvio Dante (Steven Van Zandt) himself, plays with Tony and Gloria spending time together mid-episode and then again at the end credits.Â
Season 4 Episode 4: The WeightÂ
âVesuvioâ by Spaccanapoli
Another example of double dipping on the same song in one episode. The above scene between Carmela and Furio dancing and falling in love right underneath Tonyâs nose uses this romantic Italian track by Spaccanapoli, and then uses it again in the final seconds when Carmela is daydreaming about Furio while having sex with Tony. So sensual and heavy, the audience knows that Carmela is going down a path she canât see through to the end, but the music signifies the passion that she will inevitably entangle herself in for the time being.Â
Season 4 Episode 7: Watching Too Much TelevisionÂ
âOh Girlâ by The Chi-Lites
When an assemblyman starts an affair with Tonyâs ex-lover, Irina, there is quite a bit of jealousy and ownership that exudes from the mob boss. This classic from the Chi-Lites plays in the car on the way over to the assemblymanâs house as Tony drives over to confront him about âtakingâ his mistress from him. It is a song which causes deep reflection and nostalgia for a lost love, and prompts Tony to get emotional listening to it. Wonderful acting by Gandolfini and superb use of in-world music that plays over to the credits, something the show got down to an art and a science simultaneously.Â
Season 5 Episode 10: Cold CutsÂ
âIâm Not Like Everybody Elseâ by The Kinks
No, Tony Soprano is certainly not like anybody else. He insists that Janice see anger management counselors at the beginning of this episode, and when she actually improves her mood because of it, his narcissism makes him antagonize her until a typical Soprano family fight breaks out at dinner. Tony walks out of the house with a despicable smile on his face to the tune of this intense rock anthem.
Season 5 Episode 11: The Test DreamÂ
âThree Times a Ladyâ by The Commodores
In an episode in which Tony spends 20 minutes literally dreaming about past and future problems in his life, culminating in the murder of Billy Leotardo by Anthony Blundetto, The Commodores soft romance hit plays us out. Tony calls Carmela to report about said dreams, part of which were repeat ones that have happened previously in Tonyâs life. Itâs nice for the audience to see these two having a tender exchange rather than the tense arguing that normally characterizes their marriage, especially because this was when the two were still separated previously throughout the fifth season.Â
Season 6 Episode 4: The Fleshy Part of the ThighÂ
âOne of These Daysâ by Pink Floyd
Paulie Walnuts is a fan favorite for a myriad of reasons. Between his gray-haired wings and his immature one-liners, many forget that the mobster had one of the scarier violent streaks in the show. After discovering that his mother was actually his aunt, Paulie gets jealous of Jason Baroneâs mother trying to protect him from the mafia after selling the sanitation business that serves as a front for the DiMeo crime family. This psychedelic, hard-rock snippet from Pink Floyd that blares in the credits after Paulie threatens Jasonâs life at the end of episode is a strong reminder to the viewer that this is a character who borders on sociopathic most of the time.Â
Season 6 Episode 12: KaishaÂ
âMoonlight Mileâ by The Rolling Stones
Unlike other iconic dramas, The Sopranos loved ending their season finales (and âKaishaâ is technically a season finale with season 6 split into two parts) with relative closure and absolutely no cliffhangers. The family has an enormous Christmas gathering at the Soprano residence, marked by A.J. bringing over an older girlfriend and Meadowâs rare absence from family time. This classic from The Rolling Stones that describes the feeling of trying to get back home off the road fits lovingly with the rare moment of calm before the storm that is the final season of the show. Â
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Season 6 Episode 14: Stage 5Â
âEvidently Chickentownâ by John Cooper Clarke
This closing piece by John Cooper Clarke is actually considered a poetry performance, and the anger and fury that it inspires as Phil Leotardo laments being taken advantage of a few too many times is palpable. This is when we knew that war in New York was going to be bloody. The song also symbolizes the perpetual frustration both Christopher and Tony have with one another when they hug at the formerâs babyâs baptism. The final season was certainly kicked up a couple notches as these final credits rolled.Â
Season 6 Episode 17: Walk Like a ManÂ
âThe Valleyâ by Los Lobos
This somber piece plays alongside Christopher picking up a tiny tree in his front yard after Paulie had attempted to destroy everything on his property as revenge for a violent incident. After Christopher thinks theyâve made up, Paulie and the gang start making fun of his infant daughter and laughing in his face. It is at this point that Chris understands he is forever an outsider, not loved by a single person on the planet. He will just trudge along and try to keep upright, which are themes displayed in this chilling and melancholy song of choice.Â
Season 6 Episode 21: Made in AmericaÂ
âDonât Stop Believinââ by Journey
The most famous song in the show is also the final one that plays right before the screen goes to black and Tony Sopranoâs fate is left up to our own imagination (kind of). Itâs technically not an end credits song, but thereâs no way it can be excluded from this list. The song represents the nostalgia of sharing one final family meal together, the simplicities of the Soprano family when you strip away the mobster lifestyle and the murder, and it encourages the audience to never stop believing their favorite mob boss is still alive if thatâs what they so choose to desire. A special ending to a legendary show!

Jamais Vu - Part One
Exo Fanfiction
Baekhyun x Female Reader
Warnings: some light swears.
Genre: Fluff/Angst?
W/C: 2560
Part Two Part Three
_____________________________________________________________
Everybody has that âwhat ifâ. The one who got away....not quite regret, but thoughts that would drift by late at night when insomnia has set in and youâre deep into your latest existential crisis.
What if things had been different? What if you had said what had been on the tip of your tongue that day?
Byun Baekhyun was your what if.Â
He had been your best friend in college and the only person you had truly loved.
You had no reason to run into Byun Baekhyun. You didnât share classes. You an Accounting major and him Architecture.Â
You didnât run in the same social circles, he was part of a frat house and you opted to remain in dorms with your small group of friends.Â
But what had brought you together was music, meeting in your second year while working at the campus radio station.
You had applied for the role of Production Director on a whim, looking for a hobby outside of classes and studying and also benefited from the extra credit of managing the finances of the small college club.Â
The first time you met you were positive youâd never understand him. After all, you were complete opposites. He was loud and outgoing; always the centre of jokes and a far cry the quiet loner you were perceived to be.Â
But from the first show you ran with him, he has surprised you. Baekhyun was the On-Air Presenter for the Sunday night Jazz & Blues segment and as soon as the light would turn red heâd take on a completely different persona.
His voice would become soft and melodic as heâd whisper sweet nothings into the microphone about the classics of Miles Davies and Frank Sinatra.Â
Youâd often be on the same late-night shift together; downing coffee after coffee, discussing your favourite artists and organising records until the early hours.
He wasnât exhausting like the rest of your extroverted friends, his presence giving you a warm sense of comfort.Â
Without noticing you became joined at the hip for the rest of your college days.Â
Not to the point that you were a regular at his crazy frat parties but youâd hang out at the radio station, would marathon movie after movie at each otherâs dorms on the weekends and crammed for all your major testâs together.Â
You hadnât even realised you were in love with him until youâd just graduated, you even had the crazy idea to confess.
Then the news broke that he was moving to a different country.
He had been in two minds on whether to go. Youâd always talked about living and working in the same city and heâd been concerned about you being alone and him going back on his promise.
Honestly. Who achieves their dream job at a globally famous architecture firm and worries about their dumb friend during the happiest moment of their life?!
You remembered that day vividly.
ââOf course you should go! Itâs your dream, Baekâ you forced the enthusiasm into your voice.
Inside, you could feel your heart tearing at the seams. You werenât selfish enough to show him just how much you would miss him, as much as you had wanted to.
He was always too considerate of your feelings.Â
This wasnât some Rom-Com TV show, where Baekhyun would suddenly declare he couldnât live without you. He wasnât like Rachel choosing not to get on the plan for Ross.
Youâd cried so hard the night heâd left. Almost texting the words youâd be aching to tell him for the last three years.Â
âI am in love with youâ.Â
But the alcohol had knocked you out before you could hit send.
Heâd promised to keep in touch but over the years you drifted. As life and work became more and more hectic it devolved from video chatting on the weekends, to texting occasionally.Â
Fading into receiving a generic happy birthday post on social media and then nothing at all.
Youâd pushed him to the back of your mind as you told yourself over and over that this is what happens as you get older.Â
And with that ten years had passed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You wake with a start. Back aching from where youâd fallen asleep in an awkward position while watching a random ASMR video the night prior.
*Clatter*Â Â
Your sleep-filled eyes search the room, trying to locate the source of the noise.Â
*Thud Thud Thud*
It appears to be coming through the wall behind your headboard.
Could someone be moving into the apartment next door? Itâs been entirely empty the whole time youâve been living here, about seven months now.
You've enjoyed the quiet solace of not having to share the walls with another person. Especially being one of the only two apartments on the upper floor, it was one of the reasons you love your apartment.
Itâs also located near the subway and tucked far back enough on the outskirts of the city that itâs almost peaceful. Thereâs also a small cafe bar and a couple of small stores that remind you of the town where you grew up.
*Bang*
You groan again at the loud noises as you stretch your arms over your head and wonder about the people moving in next door.
Maybe a couple? Or a young family. It could even be a cute guy. You snort at the thought. Yeah right. What kind of a psycho moves into an apartment in the early morning anyway?!
You reach under your pillow for your phone to check the time. 8:30 am! SHIT. You overslept and if you donât leave your apartment in the next ten minutes youâll miss your train to work!
With no time for a shower, you rush to your bathroom to wash your face and brush your teeth.
As you drag a brush through your hair and pull it up into a simple, neat ponytail you start forming a contingency planâŠ
âSkip the usual to-go coffee at Dunkinâ and settle for the instant stuff at workâ you think to yourself, âAs soon as I get to work, throw on some BB cream and mascara with the time Iâll gain abandoning my daily vanilla latte with coconut milkâŠâ.
You sniff sadly at the thought as you step into one of your tailored dresses, fumbling with the awkward zipper in the back.
Within 10 minutes youâre flying out the door and straight into the elevator. Using the short amount of time to button up your sweater and glance through your bag to check that youâve got everything youâll need for the day.
Youâre in your own thoughts as you stride towards the lobby doors, and almost walk straight into your building manager.
âOh! Good morning, Mr Sato!â you gasp in surprise.
âGood morning!â he smiles obliviously, not realising that you almost knocked him flying. You move to step around him as he continues. âThereâs a package of yours with Ralphâ (the doorman) âand I also wanted to let you know about a new tenant moving into the place next to yours...â
âUh-huh,ïżœïżœ of course, thatâs great!â You cut him off, waving your hands apologetically âI am so sorry. Please excuse me, Iâm late for work!â you call out behind you as you make a mad dash out of the building to the subway station.
You make your train by the skin of your teeth, panting from the final sprint from the ticket gate to the platform. Feeling glad you skipped the makeup as you would have surely sweat a good portion of it off by now.
You currently work for a large accountancy firm Kim & Partners. You could have worked within a finance department of any company as most qualified accountants tend to do but you love the challenges and variety of working with different industries and clients every day.
You manage a small team of four and specialise in bookkeeping for small to medium enterprise, one of the smaller departments in the company but you have a pretty large client base and enjoy the satisfaction of helping others and providing a clear and efficient service.
âWe are transferring you to manage corporate accounts,â your boss Mr Kim announces in the morning management meeting. You feel like someones just pulled a step from beneath your footing.
You were aware that your manager Mr Choi had wanted to transfer you out to provide more specialised management accountancy for larger corporate clients but so far youâd been convincing enough from the commission and reputation youâve built for Kim & Partners to be able to continue as you were.
âUh, thank you for the opportunity, Mr Kim, I-â you begin shakily, looking for the words or a reason to decline the transfer.
âFantastic! Youâll handover to Jaehyun for the rest of today and youâll start in corporate accounting tomorrow!â your boss claps his hands together enthusiastically and with that you chicken out of any further protest and nod your head.
Jaehyun is your second in command and honestly, he really deserves this promotion. You couldnât think of someone more diligent and detail-oriented.
The rest of your day is uneventful. The handover goes incredibly smoothly despite a very surprised Jaehyun but the more things are explained, the more you realise that this progression will be good for everyone.
Youâll still oversee Jaehyun and his team but allow him more room to make decisions and develop while you work on the larger corporate accounts that keep your company in business.
There was even a hint at the opportunity to become a junior partner, which by your calculations would make you one of the youngest in the company.
You leave work feeling excited, passing up on celebratory drinks with your (old) team so that they can have more fun without their boss present.
âCOME ONNNNâ Hani, your junior accounts clerk had whined when you announced that you wouldn't be joining âYouâre not a regular boss, youâre a COOL boss!â.
You appreciate the sentiment but everyone likes to complain about work and management when they drink and you wouldn't like to take that away from them.
You sit on the train heading back to your apartment feeling optimistic, texting your best friend Aria about the day and making plans for your own celebratory drinks.
Youâre walking through the lobby of your apartment building, heading towards Ralphâs desk to collect the package Mr Sato mentioned this morning. Probably the new nutribullet youâd ordered while drunk Amazon shopping a couple of weeks back.
Normally youâd cancel the delivery but drunk you was really onto something this time. You giggle at a dumb vine quote Aria sends you and as you finish typing up your response-
THWACK! You hit a wall, falling ungracefully backwards onto your butt.
You grunt as the air gets knocked out of you when you make contact with rough carpet of the lobby.
âSeriously!â another voice snaps you back to reality as you realise you didnât walk into a wall but another person.
A now very annoyed person, carrying what you assume was their groceries as you glance over at the produce and cans rolling around on the floor between you.
âI- oh my gosh, I am so sorry!â you stammer as you scramble to your knees and start frantically picking up some of the items in front of you. A can of beans, a bag of pasta and a lone orange trying to make its escape.Â
âI wasnât even looking, I promise Iâll pay for anything dama-â, You begin as you look up, expecting to see Mr Sato or one of the other tenants of the building.
The rest of your sentence dies in the back of your throat.
âBaekhyun?...â
His name leaves your lips as a whisper, heart thumping against your chest as you almost drop the items in your hands.
Heâs not looking in your direction, you hear him grumble something under his breath that you canât quite make out as he scoops the remainder of his groceries into a battered paper bag.
Is it really him? Did you hit your head and youâre actually unconscious and hallucinating about a guy you used to know and havenât seen in ten years?
It sure looks like him. A few extra lines crease his forehead, his hair is a darker shade of chocolate than you remember with a few flecks of silver glinting at the centre of his parting.
You glance to his left hand searching for the mole that sits beneath his thumbnail but itâs not there. Maybe it was on his right hand?
He finally looks up as if finally registering that youâre kneeling on the floor next to him, his lips part slightly in surprise as he looks you over. A tiny mole sits just above the corner of his upper lip. It really is him!
Before your mind has time to catch up youâre throwing your arms around him, allowing your excitement to overtake all of your other senses. You feel him instantly tense up.
âH-hey!â he shouts, pushing you off him abruptly. âWhat the hell are you doing!â
You shoot to your feet, shaken by the sharpness of his tone you take a step back to create some space. Your throat feels dry all of a sudden. His eyes look you over but thereâs no familiarity in them, theyâre so cold you almost shiver.
He takes a step towards you, âHow do you know my name?â his tone sharp and accusing, âAre you some kind of stalker?â.
Your cheeks start to burn as the realisation setâs in that Baekhyun has no idea who you are. You struggle to swallow the lump forming in your throat as you search for a response. Words seem to fail you right now.
âY/N, is everything alright?â you hear the worried voice of Mr Sato, by the time you remember to blink heâs already standing between the two of you. You look up at him, dumbstruck as you fight back the sharp prickles in the corner of your eyes.
He looks back and forth between you and Baekhyun, trying to piece together what has taken place. You realise youâre still holding Baekhyunâs groceries, practically hugging the bag of pasta to your chest and your cheeks burn even hotter.Â
You hear your name spoken again but itâs not Mr Satoâs voice this time, and you donât have the nerve to look at Baekhyun again.
So you do the only thing you can think of and thrust the items you're holding at Mr Sato. Run as fast as you can to the stairwell, and find the nearest hole to jump into, aka your apartment.
Your knees ache as you force yourself up each flight. You canât even remember the last time you used the stairwell and when you finally reach the threshold of your apartment you collapse against the door.
What on earth were you thinking?
What gave you the right to assume anyone would recognise you after ten years?
What was he even doing here? As that final thought crosses your mind someone knocks at your door.
You jump at the abrupt noise, chest still tight from the anxiety (or the running). But thereâs no way youâre answering the door.
Your legs still feel like jelly and you really fear that Mr Sato has come to scold you or worse Baekhyun has followed you.
But he wouldnât know which apartment you lived in. Would he?
You pull yourself to your feet and glance through the peephole.
You watch as Baekhyun turns away from your front door and disappears towards the next apartment.
No way.
*Slam*
Shit.

At The Café
Fandom: ASoIaF Pairing: SanSan Rating: T Summary: Sandor had also started putting âLittle birdâ on her order and, he had given her an extra lemon bar here and there. The bright smile she always gave him made him feel warm inside and nearly made him swoon. So much for him being cold and opposed to love. Words: 1541 Notes: For my big sis @thefeatherofhope, based on this prompt. Also, Sandorâs on the gentler side of this fic, because well, Sansa.
Read @ AO3
Sandor spotted his favorite customer coming in.
Sansa Stark, of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, had been coming to The Three Lions coffee shop without failing for the past three weeks. Near month, really. She always came in, laptop in a pink bag and always impeccably dressed.
The café always had people, being near the university made sure of that. Sandor took his classes and then came straight to work, and Sansa was another student. She was studying literature, specializing in myths and legends of Westeros. And she had been daily, and even if it was for one cup of latter (be it hot or cold). And she was always nice and pleasant, she had made an effort to befriend no only him, but Bronn and Hot Pie.
And Sandor would be lying if he didnât say that he was, in fact, looking forward seeing her. Her visits, which lasted usually an hour, were the bright spots of his day. He had began calling her Little bird, because as soon as she formed in the queue to order, she would begin humming, from songs that he could recognize as love ballads or songs he had never heard before.
Sansa had been shy and reserved at first with him, Sandor couldnât exactly blamed her. He was taller than she was head and shoulders, he had the scar on his face and he was built like a house. Overall, he knew very well that he gave an imposing and unfriendly impression. But Sansa was always polite, always inquiring about his day and small things about himself.
Once Sansa placed her order, usually a latte of some sort and a lemon bar, she would go and sit within sight of the cash register and Sandor could keep on looking at her. She would get her laptop and work, curiosity had once gotten the best of him, turns out, she was writing a romance book. He didnât understand nor know the legend in which her book was based, but nevertheless, he encouraged her and wished her well.
Sandor had also started putting âLittle birdâ on her order and, he had given her an extra lemon bar here and there. The bright smile she always gave him made him feel warm inside and nearly made him swoon. So much for him being cold and opposed to love.
And today, as Sansa opened the door, and smiled at him, Sandor knew that he was doomed. Sansa formed herself in line, there were only two others in front of her, which Sandor hurried over so they could move away and give her his attention.
âMorning Little bird,â Sandor spoke at her, loud enough to be heard over the constant jazz music that was on the cafĂ©. âWhat will be this time?â
Sansa beamed at him, damned it, she looked so pretty dressed in a pale pink dress, hair loose and flats. âHazelnut latte please Sandor, and oh! A bar of lemon bar and a cinnamon cookie package!â
Sandor nodded and marked it on the register, âSomeoneâs having a sweet tooth.â He finally had gotten to where he could joke and she would know it was a joke. âThatâd be 6 on the dot.â
Sansa pulled a ten and gave it to him, and when he gave her her change, she dropped it smiling to the tip jar. âHowâs work coming along today?â
Sandor shrugged, and moved prepared her order, âNot so bad, you arrived before the rush today. So you get some peace for your work, howâs the novel coming along?â
âItâs coming,â Sansa lifted her shoulders, but a frown came to her face. âIâm having some difficulty with a character, who knew that characters took a life of their own and made demands?â
âNot me,â Sandor, who had never written anything besides educational papers, was puzzled, but kept working until Sansaâs latte was done, then walked to the display and grabbed both the bar and the cookie package. âBut Iâm sure youâll get a hang of it.â
Sansa beamed at him as he placed her order in front of her. âThank you, Sandor!â She took her order, and made her way to her usual table, she placed her thing down and then pulled her laptop, she opened it and began her work.
Sandor watched her for a few moments, then shook his head and began to check for anything else to do. He had not lied that Sansa had arrived before the work rushed, so he checked the bakery items, and cleaned the area around the register and made sure the hot water for tea was ready. And when he finished right on time, for as soon as he finished, customers hit at the rush hour. He had to concentrated, but he still managed to cast some looks at Sansa, watched her from the corner of his eye as she sip her latte and she had already finished her bar and was munching on her cookies.
Once the rush hour passed, Sandor was tired and worn. âYou alright Sandor?â Sansa asked, and when he looked around, he realized that they were the only two of them in the cafĂ©.
âRush hour took more out of me than expected,â Sandor admitted. âThey left me to man the cafĂ© alone today.â
Sandor watched as Sansa frowned, and looked around, noticing that they were alone. She then pointed at the chair in front of her, âCan you sit? Even for a moment?â
Sandor hesitated, but then, he pulled the chair and sat down, âA minute,â he grumbled, but already feeling light at the thought of being with Sansa for a few minutes. âBoss didnât get an extra hand for me today.â
âThatâs not fair to you,â Sansa frowned. âWho owns this place?â
âCersei Lannister.â Sandor didnât notice that Sansa had frozen in her spot. âAnd she put a lackey of hers as manager, heâs never here either.â
âMother of Joffrey Baratheon?â Sandor looked up, Sansaâs voice sounded much lower than her usual chirpy tone.
âI think so,â Sandor didnât keep up with that. But he recalled Cersei speaking of her âJoffâ. âWhy?â
âI had the⊠âprivilegeâ of dating Joffrey. Heâs absolutely horrid, and Cersei too, so Iâm sorry Sandor, you deserve better.â
Oh. Of course, because nice as Sansa was, she would gravitate towards handsome men. Itâs stupid, why should he ever think heâd had a chance with her. Sandor stood, fortunately, there was a client walking in, he rushed to help tend to him. It was a good thing the man saved him before he made a fool out of himself by asking Sansa out.
Sandor did his best to ignore Sansa, but he couldnât, because he could feel her gaze on him. Then, three other customers came in and he could pretend to give them his attention, but he knew that he was in a bad mood and it was leaking to his work, because the customers seemed to be unusually polite.
Sandor had thought of giving Sansa another lemon bar, but before he could, he saw her pick her things up. Balls, she was leaving already. Then, much to his surprise, she approached the front where he stood behind the register. She smiled at him, âI know this isnât normal,â she told him. âBut I wanted to ask if youâd like to go out in a date?â
Sandor froze. He couldnât possibly have heard right. Sansa Stark, woman of his dreams did just not ask him out. But then, realized that something was up, because she nearly panic and began to back peddle. Â âFine.â He managed to get out.
It was Sansaâs turn to freeze and give him a doubting look. âAre you sure? I mean, you donât have to if you donât want to. Itâs fine.â
He shook his head, âNo,â damn it all to hell, his throat was dried and he was barely managing to utter single syllables words. âI mean, Iâd like to.â
Sansaâs face cleared, âOh! Great then! When are you free?â
âSaturday after 3.â Sandorâs heart beat loud, he was sure that Sansa could hear it. âAnywhere you want to go is fine.â Good, he managed to speak this time without sounding too desperate.
âMovies?â Sansa asked, a small smile on her face. âMaybe something after?â
âMovies and something sounds good.â Oh what a bloody idiot he was. Sandor knew he sounded like a fool, but truth be told, it wasnât very often that girls like Sansa asked him out. One had asked him out for a bet. But he held no such fear in regards of Sansa, because she was actually a nice person who treated people with respect.
Sansa beamed at him, âGreat! Then, how about we see at the movies at, say 5? That way you have time to do whatever you need without rushing?â
Sandor nodded quite frantically, âYes, that works.â
âExcellent! Then, Iâll see you tomorrow Sandor, I have some things to take care off, bye!â With that Sansa rushed out of the cafĂ©, not giving him the chance to say goodbye.
But he was happy, and Sandor knew himself to know that he was grinning like a loon. For once, he didnât care.

THE TOO GOOD TEN with Drew Louis
Pop singer, songwriter and producer Drew Louis drops his latest release âPetty.â The refreshing new single is dripping in both classic and experimental pop sonics with a story that everyone can relate to. âPettyâ joins previously released singles âFalling In Likeâ and debut âBLOCKED.â Get to know the young artist by checking out his Too Good Ten below:
1. What is it about music that made you want to pursue a career in it?
Ever since I was five years old belting out Christina Aguileraâs âAinât No Other Manâ in the backseat, my parents knew that music was definitely in my blood. Besides my six-month-stint of wanting to be an astronomer at age eight, Iâve always wanted to be a musician. My parents actually met while doing a show at their community theatre and my older brothers both teach music full time, so if I wanted to be a doctor I think my family might look at me sideways.
2. Growing up you were exposed to a wide variety of music such as Classic Rock, Jazz and R&B. How did you end up discovering pop and gravitating to that sound?
Music was always playing in the house growing up, so I was hearing everything from my angsty teen brothersâ mixes to my momâs compilation CDâs she burned from her iTunes library. While listening to all of these eclectic sounds, pop music always broke through and really spoke to me; serving as an escape to anything I was going through. A musical utopia where polished vocals, ear candy, and slick production were all able to coexist in a nice little 3 minute package.
3. Congrats on the release of âPETTY.â Whatâs the story behind it? Is it based off a true story?
This record is the culmination of a lot of built up feelings, [laughs]. I think everyone can relate to a toxic ex, friend or even a family member who has just gone so low that you just canât take the high road anymore. I brought the track to my co-writers Jayelle Gerber, Carlee Chappell, and Francis Karel and the rest is history!
4. Do you consider yourself to be âPETTY?â Whatâs the pettiest thing youâve been petty about?
I always try to be a level-headed person, but sometimes youâre pushed so far to the edge that you gotta stoop to their level. Not proud to admit this one, but literally just yesterday I was driving and making sure I was clear to turn right on red and the guy behind me honked...so I simply sat at the red light for another thirty seconds until it turned green. He was not very happy.
5. You also write and produce for various other artists - how is that process different then when youâre working on your own music?
Writing and producing for other artists is such a blast. Youâre able to take the music in places you might not be comfortable going in yourself - whether that be lyrically, or sonically. I recently collaborated with Sony Japanâs a cappella group The Gospellers on their new single, âLoving Out Loud.â Creating an entire song with vocals was an interesting challenge that turned out to be super awesome!
6. On your socials you mentioned that youâd love to collaborate with RAYE. What is it about her that makes you want to collaborate with her? If you had to decide right now what would be the name of the song you guys would release together?
RAYE is so insanely talented. Her record âPlease Donât Touchâ is pop gold! We both fall into the niche of broken-hearted pop songwriters, so I think weâd make the most heart wrenching record but simultaneously the most danceable one, [laughs]. Letâs call it âLast Goodbye.â Feels dramatic enough, eh?
7. You just released your debut single âBLOCKEDâ back in December. What was it like to release a debut single? Whatâs the biggest learning you got from that initial release?
Finally making my debut was so freeing. As an artist you always hear people in the industry telling you âYou have a lifetime to make your debut, and six months to make your second albumâ. So I wanted to make sure I didnât rush myself. I took time to find my sound and to bring my music to a quality I felt confident in. âBLOCKEDâ taught me a lot and with each release I am trying to make better music and find my unique sound. I feel like âPETTYâ is the true representation of that.
8. Your social bios describe you as a wannabe comedian. If for some reason music didnât work out would you look to pursue a career in comedy? If so, would it be as an actor, stand-up comedian, social media comedian or all of the above?
I happen to think that I am hilarious. I would love to do have some TV/Movie cameos or do a little three-month-run on Broadway? However, the key word in my bio is definitely wannabe.
9. If you could only listen to (5) artists/bands for the rest of your life, who would they be?
This answer changes on the daily, (which would really be awkward if this was a real dilemma!) but I would say Janelle MonĂĄe, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars and Lorde.
10. Whatâs the rest of 2021 look like for Drew Louis?
Plenty of new singles and possibly an EP! Working on building up my repertoire, my fanbase and will hopefully be able to start touring by 2022! Iâm really excited to bring these songs to life on tour, and for all of the new material to come.

This December, FOX takes TV's #1 show and adds a little twist. Based on the smash hit FOX series THE MASKED SINGER and inspired by a popular segment featured on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," all-new celebrity competition series THE MASKED DANCER will have a special premiere Sunday, Dec. 27 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/5:00-6:00 PM PT, Live to all Time Zones), before having its time period premiere Wednesday, Jan. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). New comedy CALL ME KAT, starring Emmy Award nominee Mayim Bialik ("The Big Bang Theory"), and executive-produced by Bialik, Emmy Award-nominated producer Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory," "The Boys in the Band") and Darlene Hunt ("The Big C"), will have a special series premiere Sunday, Jan. 3 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), following the NFL ON FOX doubleheader. The series then makes its time period premiere Thursday, Jan. 7 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT). Based on the BBC UK original series "Miranda," CALL ME KAT stars Bialik as a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can still live a happy and fulfilling life despite still being single at 39. Which is why she recently spent her entire savings to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky. It was expected of KAT (Bialik) to be married with kids by now, but for many reasons, she's still single - and totally fine with it. Of course, Kat's mother, SHEILA (Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Swoosie Kurtz, "Mike & Molly," "Sisters"), views her daughter's single-hood as her own personal failure, but Kat remains determined to live a fulfilling life, and charts her own course to happiness. Working alongside Kat at the café are RANDI (Kyla Pratt, "One on One"), a confident millennial and self-proclaimed "non" cat person; and PHIL (Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan, "The Cool Kids," "Will & Grace"), who recently broke up with his longtime partner. Although Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans may begin to veer off-course, when her former crush and good friend, MAX (Cheyenne Jackson, "American Horror Story," "30 Rock"), returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street, working with his friend, CARTER (Julian Gant, "Good Girls"). CALL ME KAT is produced by That's Wonderful Productions!, Sad Clown Productions and BBC Studios' Los Angeles production arm in association with Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment. Darlene Hunt is the executive producer and showrunner. Additionally, Jim Parsons, Todd Spiewak (That's Wonderful Productions!), Mayim Bialik (Sad Clown Productions), Miranda Hart, Angie Stephenson (BBC Studios) and Beth McCarthy-Miller also serve as executive producers. McCarthy-Miller directed the series premiere.
Entering its ninth and final season, hit comedy LAST MAN STANDING will have a special season premiere Sunday, Jan. 3 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), following the series premiere of CALL ME KAT. LAST MAN STANDING makes its time period premiere Thursday, Jan. 7 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).
