Danny is the son of Mr Freeze
So! Danny was adopted as a Kid.
It was never really that big of a thing to him, just a small footnote in his life. He never really cared about finding his Bio Family, or even looking into it at all. His new Family was enough for him, no need to complicate it all that much.
But then, the Accident happened.
After he got shocked by the Portal and passed out, his parents had rushed him to the hospital. Apparently his Heart had been pulsing irregularly, so they had decided to not take any chances.
While at the Hospital, the Doctors noticed a particularly strange result in his blood tests. So, a few months after he had been discharged (it took a while for the blood work to come back), they asked him to come back in for further testing.
At first, Danny was scared that they had found out about his Powers. But when he walked into the Room, they had other news.
He had been diagnosed with Huntingtons Disease, a rare neurological condition that apparently had no known cure. The only possible way to contract the Disease was to have inherited it from one of his parents.
They said it was in its early stages at the moment, but as time passed he would become weaker and weaker, and he would become more sickly. They diagnosed that he had just over 5 years left before he died, and there were no treatments or cures that could save him.
Danny got a second opinion with Frostbite, since he knew more about Ghost Biology and might know if it was truly a fatal Disease for a Halfa.
And yeah, it was. No matter how much of him is Ghostly, he is still half Human, and the Human Disease in his body can and will kill him. And there's no guarantee that he will become a full Ghost upon death. For all he knows it will just End him.
So, Danny had a time limit to find a way to cure himself. He didn't have much time to study, what with the constant Ghost Attacks, his School Work, and keeping his parents from attacking innocent Ghosts, but he managed where he could.
Speaking of his parents, they had been looking into the disease as well. But they seemed convinced that they could find a way to save him by simply dissecting a Ghost to study its biology. (It was as if this was just a convenient excuse to dive deeper into their obsession)
After a while, he mamaged to resolve the Ghost Attack stuff and got his grades under control, but he was still making little progress on finding a Cure.
So, he looked into other people who might be studying the same Disease, to see if he could look I to their research. But that search came up empty.
There was nobody who wanted to fund research into such a rare disease, so nobody was studying it. There was one man who was studying it, but he was a convicted Supervillain. Danny decided that he would be his backup plan, since he wasn't sure how Jazz would react if he teamed up with a known Villain.
He just kept on studying his condition.
...
It had been about 4 years since his initial diagnosis, and Danny was 18. And he needed help.
He had made no progress in developing a Cure, and his condition had worsened. He could barely walk without a limp anymore, and his limbs felt weaker by the day.
He did manage to get some luck when he found out that lowering his Body Temperature would slow the progress of the Disease. He was never more thankful for his Ice Powers than on the day he figured that out.
But he had hit a roadblock. He needed help, and unfortunately there was only one place he could go to get it. The Supervillain he had read about all that time ago, Mr Freeze.
Now he was headed to Gotham City to seek his help, even if it meant becoming a Villlain himself.

DPXDC Prompt #43 Part 1
Everything had been going well on their trip. Danny was going to tell his parents all about his past, and about being the half dead ghost king. Unfortunately, Danny’s life had a reputation for how terribly unlucky he was. He and his family were caught off guard, and even Danny couldn’t prevent himself from fainting when hit in the back of the head with what he assumed must have been something metal.
When he came too he could tell his arms were bound together behind his back and there were two others adjacent to him. He didn’t shift or open his eyes to avoid letting their abductors know he was awake. He could hear some soft tapping that almost sounded like chalk. There were hushed whispers but they were too muffled to hear. He couldn’t tell how much time had passed but he was starting to get a little bored. He knew his family was probably with him, they were right next to him and would have noticed him getting kidnapped.
Eventually he heard a rustling sound next to him, they must be waking up too, “Maddie? Danny?” Their soft voice spoke.
There wasn’t a reply but that meant Danny was correct, well at least about his dad. He wasn’t 100% sure if mom and Jazz were here but he needed to figure out a way to get out of this without letting their kidnappers know he had powers.
Another shift this time in the opposite direction. “Mom? Danny?”
“Jazzie-Pants!! Are you okay? They didn’t hurt you did they?” His words were a bit panicked and almost made Danny reveal his awareness.
“No. I’m fine, Dad? Where are we?” Jazz sounded more annoyed than worried.
A voice interrupted them before their dad could respond, “Quiet hunter scum,” the bags were removed from all of their heads and then ice water was thrown out of a bucket at them. Everyone else groaned as they were shocked awake by how cold it was.
Danny figured there was no use pretending to sleep now so he opened his eyes. They had been captured by cultists and were tied next to each other with a large circle drawn out in chalk. The circle, from some of the runes Danny could make out, looked like a summoning one. Upon further examination they looked more closely to the ones that would summon him, too bad it won’t work since he’s already here… They don’t know that though, and he could use this opportunity to mess with them.
One of the cultists, probably the leader, stepped forward and started speaking toward his followers and started a really long winded speech but a couple things caught Danny’s attention. One they were sacrificing him and his family because his parents hunted ghosts so the Ghost King would of course seek revenge. Two there were five of them there, that meant an extra person was tied up as a sacrifice as well. Who that was Danny didn’t know but he had to save them, he’d get them all out of here.
“That’s all quite fascinating but what does this have to do with me?” A familiar voice said. Danny knew exactly who the voice belonged too and it wasn’t his Mom, Dad, or sister. The fifth person happened to be his twin brother whom he hadn’t spoken to since before he faked his death.
Damian, from the sound of his voice, was behind Danny probably on the other side of his Dad. Danny hadn’t said anything yet so Damian was unaware Danny was there. The dark cavern like room didn’t allow a lot of room for light but there were quite a few candles and torches illuminating the space.
Before anyone could say anything else a loud crash was heard, Danny couldn’t see as the noise was behind him and the room descended into chaos.

A DC X DP IDEA #22
Back in my day.
Imagine dis…
Alfred is a whole mystery to the Batfam that whenever he pulls out his shotgun we are in awe at this kickass badass British butler, on the other hand, we are always in the shadows of his past endeavors. We all knew he was a S.A.S. Armed Services, fighting in 15 different operations between ages 18 and 20. A skilled medical and front liner soldier who was decorated. He later joined MI5, as well as the secret forces of the Queen and later being knighted by Her Majesty.
He is silent as he comes by, he can out Batman the Batman despite Bruce learning from the greatest assassin of all time. He is calm, too calm for any situation to the point your subconscious asks if he had seen something wilder, more insane to consider an alien attack, a mutant crocodile attack every Tuesday is considered somewhat tame, or even the rise of global or universal threats that Alfred seemed to brush it off.
So, who is he?
…
Alfred Pennyworth had always been a mysterious figure. He had dedicated his life to serving the Wayne family and their caped crusader alter-egos as Bruce Wayne's loyal butler and the revered keeper of Wayne Manor. But Alfred had held a secret for decades, one that would finally come to light most unexpectedly.
Alfred was a teenager called Danny Fenton long before he donned the perfect suit and tie. He lived in the small town of Amity Park, which was riddled with secrets of its own. Danny was not your typical adolescent; he had a strange encounter with a ghostly gateway that had bestowed upon him unusual and otherworldly skills. He had protected Amity Park from vengeful ghosts and spectral threats thanks to his power to shift into a phantom hero known as Danny Phantom.
Danny had just recently been crowned as the crowned prince of the Infinite Realm a week after he had defeated the tyrant Pariah Dark who had attempted to rip off a space in the fabric of in-between just to suck in his little quaint town. It was determined by both the ancient and the Observants that it was better for him to finish his mortal life before he dawns on the crown, as he was still growing, he was still considered a baby ghost younger than Young Blood as his death was still recent.
But slowly the thoughts that he had kept behind his head are coming back to him. Jazz his beloved sister as well as the one who had raised her despite being a child herself who had no idea of raising a child, may analyze her all she wants but she could never sympathize nor connect with his inner thoughts of being one of the halfas. He died, he never really had the time to process it because he had to face the Lunch Lady just a few days after the accident.
His friends, now looking at them closely, have seen that they both have some sort of guilt in their eyes. They both have seen him die amid the electrician, he can’t help but feel some sort of longing at the cemetery the north of Amity Park, he is too alive to have a grave yet too dead to be alive.
He thought he was getting there, changing the views of the people. To show the world that his kind is sentient but the people kept whispering. Shadows cast long by the looming specters sent chills down their spines. Every eerie wail or flicker of a ghostly presence filled them with dread. Their eyes widened in terror as the ethereal figures materialized before them. A hushed silence fell over the town when ghostly battles raged in the skies. Parents warned their children to stay indoors when the ghost alarms rang. Fearful whispers of the "Ghost Boy" circulated, both a hero and a phantom menace.
The ghostly encounters left scars of fear etched in the minds of Amity Park's residents.
In the end, he was forced to leave his home dimension, why? It’s because the GIW have become more vicious more brutal at their hunting, With the sacrifice of both his friends and family they have shoved him into the portal, never to be seen again.
…
All bloodied and still injured he had landed in a period in the early 1900. He thought that he may have accidentally traveled back in time but when he saw too many conflicting events that he had learned during his high school days that didn’t happen during this time led him to believe that he had traveled a different dimension. Small ripples in the water created a tsunami of change in what he previously known as the past, when he was still in the streets gathering information, he had noticed that he landed in the middle of London during the early 1900s. Good enough that child labor laws are still not a thing so he can work with practically anyone without questions asked. The bad news is that his supposed great-grandfather's version in this dimension had already died, according to his family tree history during his science project in 4th grade his great-grandfather went to London to earn a few bucks before traveling back to America where he would meet his supposed great grandmother and have children. Since he died before he even went back to America the Nightgale-Fenton line died with him.
Luckily a barren couple took pity on him and took him in, since Danny can’t no longer bear his original last name, he embraced the new name from this nice couple who had taken him in. Danny may have felt guilty at the prospect or even the idea of replacing his family but he can’t help but think of it as a new beginning of his life. No one to hunt down his ghostly half, No GIW, and No fruit loop trying to turn him into his heir.
Alfred Pennyworth
During this time he did a lot of odd jobs, cleaning the inside of a chimney, mining, selling newspapers… etc. Sure, it was hard work and he can’t help but look at the children far younger than him taking in jobs far more dangerous just so they can shave something to eat. He can’t help but feel too blessed when he was back in his timeline. Warn food to eat under a sturdy roof to keep out the elements as well as education. Things that were too mundane, too common, that he now feels like a luxury.
Over time he developed an accent as well as new mannerisms and vocabulary.
So, when war broke out on the horizon his core ached at the notion of protection thus signed up in the military.
Sure, he became the most feared soldier in the fields due to his using some of his ghostly abilities subtly. His enemies who stand in front of him call him The Vengeful Orphan, due to his avenging every soldier who seems to die at the hands of their enemies.
Between the ages of 18 and 20, he served in the S.A.S. Armed Services, engaging in 15 different actions. A decorated medical specialist and front-line soldier. He then joined MI5, as well as the Queen's secret forces, and was knighted by Her Majesty.
…
As time passes by the ages, slowly but surely. He had already outlived his adoptive parents and friends of his. He still held the authority of being the officially crowned prince of the Infinite Realms. He had already explored the world experiencing the culture and history of this world.
At this time, he had already recovered enough ectoplasm to turn back to his ghostly prime and create a portal to the Infinite Realms. But something in him nagged, his core kept trying to tell him something when he was about to take a step inside the portal, but he didn’t seem to know why. His years as Phantom and Alfred Pennyworth taught him to listen to his guts, and it saved him multiple times, without looking back he stayed in this dimension until his mortal life perished.
It seemed that he didn’t have to find it for too long as he was approached by none other than Thomas Wayne with the preposition to be Wayne’s butler.
So, when little Bruce Wayne was born he couldn’t help but feel a little fond of the tyke. He reminded Bruce of himself when he was just a simple young boy before everything. When the fated, night came he tried to shield Bruce from everything, to have him resemble a somewhat normal life.
That night he tucked in a teary-eyed Bruce into bed who had just witnessed his parent’s murder. He faced the ghosts of both Martha and Thomas who had been with the young master since the incident a few hours ago and tearfully promised the two ghostly couple that he would take care of Bruce. Both couples seemed to be in shock at their butler who had seen them but felt relief that their boy was in safe hands.
…
When his ward Bruce Wayne turned into a crime-fighting vigilante, he can’t help but softly snort at his outfit. Sure, he admits he had a worse outfit when he started as Phantom when he was just a young lad but he is willing to take anything other than a furry suit that fights crime at night. He has no right to criticize either since his alter ego is just him with an inverted color without a mask yet people seem to make no connection between him and Phantom, in his defense he is a young teen whereas Bruce is in his 20s. He just raised an eyebrow at his outfit and Bruce immediately changed the design to be a bit more sophisticated than just a Halloween costume of a bat.
…
So when Bruce starts to bring in orphans he can’t help but smile fondly as the manor is slowly filled with such joy from each child that seems to find a home in the large manor. He can't help but reminisce if this could have been his life if Vlad had learned to forgive Jack or if his parents and Amity Park just accepted him if the GIW didn’t exist. He thought one day when he was drinking tea with Jason, Jason who died and came back different, never broken. His grandchild who experienced his death in a slow yet painful way died and came back later. He knew there was something different with his grave but he chalked it up in being his ghostly sense sensing the ectoplasm around Gotham. He just wished he checked the grave even though it holds so much sentimental value to the dead.
Don’t get him wrong the moment Jason came back to enact his revenge on B he was already aware something was in Gotham he just didn’t know at the time that it was Jason. He is more than happy to kill the Joker as he had taken mortal lives when he was serving the army but Bruce might notice and he still held fear at the idea of Dan.
After the entire revelation between his son and grandchild, he just welcomed back Jason into the manor as if nothing was wrong with the boy and prepared his favorite dish and snacks in the library whenever he visited.
…
Now it had been a long way since he entered this dimension, now the long table at the manor is filled with guests and children alike. His grandchildren are full of life despite what had life thrown at them. Dick was the first one to arrive and started, Barbara followed, Jason who took off the wheel, Tim with his brilliant mind with his worrying caffeine intake, Stephanie who fought with his father, Cassandra who started just to atone for the sin of killing her father yet became loyal and caring young lady and Damian who started to learn what humanity is like. Sure others had been emotionally adopted but all of them all have places in the manor.
…
His grandchildren as well as his pseudo son kept throwing him curious glances every time, He managed to seemingly appear behind them to notify them of dinner. He can also feel the envy of walking silently from the assassin-trained children. He can feel Bruce’s stare whenever he raises an eyebrow at some classified cases that are supposedly secured. He can hear their whispers as they exclaim to one another that he supposedly knew everything, of course, he knew everything the manor became his new haunt after a few years.
…
He already raised an eyebrow at the simultaneous alarm from every vigilante at the dinner table but imagine his surprise when he joined in looking over the Bat computer as Oracle barked out orders and instructions, as a familiar opponent showed itself.
A green glowing monster is wreaking havoc throughout Gotham it came from Central City and marched its way here to Gotham which became even more powerful due to the ectoplasm in the air. There is already notable damage from both cities as the rest of the heroes seem to work together to evacuate and stop the creature. The JLD attacks seem to have some effect but it was useless due to its minions that kept them occupied. Oracle is so focused on the situation and doesn’t notify their pseudo grandfather to disappear from behind her.
…
The entire JL is starting to feel hopeless as the green creature seems to raze Gotham as if the stone road is made out of water. Every magician and heavy hitter have been called but no one was able to put damage to the creature.
When all hopes seemed lost, they all heard a loud bang from a shotgun.
Alfred Pennyworth is standing on top of a rubble of concrete and metal, the butler of Batman, the pseudo father, and grandfather of the entire bat clan, also known as Agent A. Carrying his signature shotgun and a thermos that seems to strap to his hip like a belt.
He kept firing round after round from his trusty old shotgun and pausing for a second to reload. He glanced at the heroes around and seemed to raise an eyebrow at the absolute massacre that he had just done to the creature’s minions.
As he paused to take another reload, he paused at movement and looked at the space in front of him and waited. The creature appeared roaring out in fury but seemed to pause the moment it laid eyes on Alfred. The creature seems to shake with uncertainty and fear. Every vigilante and hero present could see its eyes growing wide from shock and fear as well the cold sweat as Alfred raised an eyebrow at the creature as he slowly walked towards the creature with annoyance with every step.
Some heroes who had enhanced hearing could hear Alfred muttering about, back in his day blob ghosts were these cute and harmless things but now some up-start wannabe newly formed one seems to think he is all hot shot.
He proceeds to scold the creature as if he had just caught one of his grandchildren sneaking their hands on the cookie jar and proceeds to take out the thermos and effectively catch the creature. As if the one responsible for the mess never existed in the first place.
Now the bat clan has rules when they are in the manor or the presence of Alfred and one of those rules is that there will be no swearing when he is around, but there is one word that seems to resound from each hero's mind.
What the fuck just happened?!?!
…
Now as you know I started to post less, now it is both from writer’s block and class being in the way.
PS: If someone out there wanted to continue or make a fic about this you are free to do so, don’t forget to tag me though.

Bonus DP x DC prompt “Star-crossed lovers” to this prompt where Batclan ship “Pitch Pearl”
"Give me my Romeo, and, when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun." -Juliet (act 3, scene 2)
Red Hood stays in Amity Park to observe the situation after the romantic conflict resolution between Fenton and Phantom.
One day from a rooftop next to the Fenton Works he sees Fenton putting toxic ectoplasm in a bottle on the table, sighing and pouring it into a glass.
The horror of plunging into the Lazarus pit flashes before Jason’s eyes. Who would be crazy enough to want to experience such a thing? And for what?
As a proud bookworm, he could not help but remember the story of Romeo and Juliet at the same moment.
"My only love sprung from my only hate, too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me that I must love my enemy." -Juliet (act 1, scene 5)
Parents who are against relationships and hate the fact that their child’s partner exists? Checked out.
Dead Romeo? Uh, yeah, definitely.
Vial of poison? Freely available in the lab.
There can be only one logical conclusion: Seeing the dead lover, Fenton thinks only about how soon to die himself.
Is Fenton ready to join his lover in the Kingdom of the Dead? He has no guarantee of returning as a ghost, so why risk it?
Jason*runs to save “Juliet”*: I defy you, stars!
~~~~
Needless to say, sleep-deprived Danny is extremely unhappy when a guy in a leather jacket breaks into his house and tries to take his lunch away.
Both boys panick, scream and absolutely not hear each other.
Jason: Don’t do this! It’s not worth it, there must be another way!
Danny: Give me my soup back, thief! Take the turkey, it’s going to go bad.
Jason: I am serious.“ Love moderately. Long love doth so.
Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.” Leave the ectoplasm to the dead ones, boy.
Danny: What a coincidence, I’m already dead deep deep inside.
Jason: Don’t joke, you should talk to a therapist.
Danny: Great idea. Jazz, help! Human in the house! This is not a drill!
Jason:..In general, both of you should talk to the Justice League. They can protect Phantom from your parents, don’t worry. You are not alone.
~~~~
Fenton, sitting in front of the Justice League.
Flash: So, you and Phantom, how did you decide to start dating?
Danny: Well, what can I say in defense.. "Death, that hath sucked the honey of thy breath, hath had no power yet upon thy beauty." -Romeo (act 5, scene 3)
Justice League:
Danny: Just kidding. I learned a whole quote for this. Can someone be proud of me, please?
Batman: Hmmm
Danny: Thanks. And relax, I knew him before he died. Our relationship has always been complicated but we literally can’t exist without each other. So don’t worry about our breakup, it’s unlikely.
Danny: And don’t think I’d kill myself in such a stupid way, it’s boring. You might want to be more concerned about whether or not I’m shocking myself with a Fenton portal than watching my food. My stomach is indestructible, tested by years of ecto-contaminated cooking. But I don’t want to die. All this RIP is a complete lie. Trust me.
Red Hood: You. use to eat. ectoplasm?!
Danny: Yes, it's very nutritious. But you need to develop tolerance to it, otherwise you will be able to try it only once in a lifetime.

Run ghost run
second chapter
I had a thought. Danny hiding in Gotham to keep the infinite realm from starting a war. It plague my mind. So now I’m writing it.
A single warning was all humanity had.
The infinite realms would no longer allow the attacks on their people. They assured him that no matter the outcome he would be safe. All ecto beings and ecto contaminated were to be evacuated prior to the attack. As he and his friends were mostly or half human they would be sent elsewhere in time or perhaps a different universe if the need arises
Sam, Tucker and Jazz all knew what their afterlife held. Everyone else was up in the air.
He pleaded not to attack earth and argued that not everyone their deserved a war. He knew they couldn’t destroy the planet to preserve their own dimension as too many natural portals occurred. But the entire human race could be eradicated without impact to this dimension. They did agree to listen to his reasoning but only as upon his death he will be declared king. He had no power to control the realm or make orders until his coronation. The realm would remain under the councils guidance until he was a mature ghost.
They treated him like a child. According to them he was one. He had been half ghost for less than a year. He had only realized his rouges constantly attacking him was part of the culture when Pandora informed him. Them attacking him was to ensure he was well taught and ready for the realm. To them it was play fighting.
When he sealed away Piraha Dark it made them even worse. They wanted to fight him even more. He needed to be a better fighter and there was no better way to learn. They just wanted an excuse to fight him more like it. With the exception of skulker who was just hunting him to be a jerk. He didn’t have the luxury others did entering the realm, he would have to learn the culture not form with the knowledge.
Just as they demanded more fights with him they were over protective as well. One time when his parents were trigger happy in one of their hunts for him, Lunch Lady had used her meat to shield him from the blast. Technus had attacked Fenton works disarming the anti-ghost security system for a week. His parents had to figure out how to ecto proof technology it was funny to watch. While they were still attacking him and getting souped. They would protect him. His parent got so much worse. All ecto beings were scum. They were more determined to get there hands on a ghost. Time and time again saying they would tear them up molecule by molecule.
Clockwork was the only one who stood with Danny saying that one warning should be given. No more no less. The council immediately agreed with the master of time. With that the meeting adjourned and Clockwork gave him a message that when running he should follow the birds and bats as they would help. Clockwork then vanished like the cryptid he was.
When it came time to deliver the warning any hope Danny had of it working was lost. They weren't going to any higher power, not the president or governor not even the press. They would only hand the warning over directly to the GIW. They followed the ant-ecto acts, enforced the policies, it was their fault. They attacked and experimented on the citizens of the realm. It was up to them to rectify their offense.
How could Danny explain to them that the government agency would never turn it over? It wasn’t the norm for the realms, the warning or notice of attack was always given to the opponent. No reason to tell the press or government. They had no issues with the other humans but just the one group . If that group wanted to doom human life it was on them.
Danny managed to con his way into being there when the warning was handed over. He claimed it would be a good learning experience. He had a plan, and it was brilliant when the GIW threw it away he would grab it and hand it over to the news. The public was always antiwar. At least the records in the library said so. He assumed they still were Amity has been a closed off town. There wasn’t much from other cities or states.
Many residents have remained for generations, and no one really had social media. There was no point as everyone had their own cliques. Sam and Tucker had a few outside connections. Sam with activist and her ultra-recyclo-vegetarian group. Tucker was connected to a few tech geeks and video game friends. Personally, he only knew people from town.
He assumed a news source out of town would be the best deal. They shouldn’t have any problems with ghosts and these “supervillains”. An outside perspective could be just what they needed. There would be no bias against the infinite realms.
They were off to give away the warning a portal opening at the GIW in their base of operations. Frostbite summoned a wall of ice around them. The declaration was on a glowing green scroll. It announced the warning out loud, then proceeded to get brighter and brighter unit, it burst into flames and disappeared. There went his bright idea. As the scroll disappeared a glowing green circle expanded out until the light passed through them and continued on. The power it radiated was intense.
When the light passed through he was grabbed, and they went back to the ghost zone. It was certainly a learning experience. Learning the plan he made was no good. Politics were not his thing. He was dreading the days he would be expected to make decisions. He’d rather fight any day of the week. The citizens were definitely rubbing off on him.
At least Pandora and Frostbite agreed to try and keep everyone out of the human realm. They could not guarantee anything. Frostbite didn’t want to see the injuries a war would cause and the potential losses. Pandora simply said there were still people on earth she didn’t want to see suffer. Both knew they couldn’t stop a war, but they could delay it. If the anti-ecto acts were disbanded and those responsible punished no war would be necessary.
With a promise from the two to guard the portal he returned home. He planned to close the portal and erase his parents from the Fenton lock, it would only work for about a day. They would just reprogram it. 24 hours could change everything. He entered the lab via portal invisible. It was empty.
A ring of light
the door slamming open
Stomping down the stairs
He was face to face mid transformation in front of his dad
He really sucked at making plans.
Then it was all black

Disney Week Is Coming Up!!!
Disney Week is coming up in just a few weeks!
That being said, I thought it could be fun to share some prompts for anyone struggling to come up with ideas but want to participate nonetheless! These are not required, if you have a different idea go for it! These are just some fun prompts to share for anyone struggling to think of something for each day.
Some fun prompts to explore:
Day 1: Resurrection/Death
Coco AU: Tim gets in an argument with the bats that results in him getting thrown into the Infinite Realms. Now he has to find his way back to the world of the living before time runs out and he becomes a ghost forever.
Snow White AU: Danny runs away from Amity after his parents try to destroy him and finds himself adopted by the Wayne Family. Now it's Danny Fenton and the 7 Waynes (Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, Duke, Cass, Damian) the Fentons find him and manage to break Danny's core. Now the Waynes need to find out a way to bring their beloved Danny back to life.
Big Hero 6 AU: Jazz is murdered and Danny thinks it's his fault, he joins a hero team to find out who killed his sister and why. The hero team he joins? up to you.
Day 2: Monster/Damsel in Distress
A bat is the victim of a cult ritual but it backfires and turns the batkid into a frog. A ghost finds the frog and is like oh only a kiss from a royal can turn you back! Good thing I know the royal family in the Infinite Realms!
Sleeping Beauty Au where Danny has been put under a curse and his ghosts start kidnapping people far and wide to wake him up. A member of the batfam wakes him up with a kiss
The pit demon inside of Jason wells up and turns him into an uncontrollable monster, now the Bats are fighting against time to find someone to fix Jason and bring him back to normal. (loosely based off of Turning Red and the Red Panda being out of control)
Day 3: Ohana/Loss
Lilo and Stitch AU: Jason Todd passed away and Dick finds himself struggling to move on. One night he sees a shooting star and prays for an angel to become his friend. What he gets instead is a wounded, angry Danny Fenton who is running away from the GIW/Fentons/Infinite Realms whatever you choose.
Strange World AU: In an effort to save the world, Bruce, Dick, and Tim find themselves going into the Infinite Realms to find something to help. What they find instead is halfa Jason Todd who decided he didn't want to go back home after dying.
Encanto AU(kinda): Duke discovers one day that the Wayne Manor is actually sentient and the entire home is being possessed by a ghost named Danny who has been spending the last ten years protecting the Wayne Family from harm. He befriends the house because he's the only one who can actually see Danny.
Frozen AU: Danny and Damian are brothers who were separated from one another. Danny has ice powers and accidentally hurt someone and ran away from home because of it. Damian goes looking for his brother to bring him back.
Day 4: Power of Love/Revenge Curse
in a fight against Klarion, a spell is cast on a member of Young Justice that puts them under a sleeping spell, the only way to save them is to find King Phantom of the Infinite Realms and see if he can break the curse.
howl's moving castle au where a member of the Batfamily angered a ghost and was aged to that of an eldery person. In an effort to find a way to fix it, the bat goes searching for someone to help them and meet Phantom, a powerful ghost from the Infinite Realms who is trying to avoid being crowned as King of the Infinite Realms.
Ella Enchanted AU where Danny has been cursed to be obedient by Vlad. He goes on a journey to find a way to break the curse put upon him and in doing so meets Jason Todd who has just recently died and is trying to find his way back to his family and the two work together to find a way to fix what has been done to them.
Day 5: Childhood/Adulthood
Damian learns one day that he has a twin who lives in a completely different world than him and makes the journey to the Infinite Realms to meet the twin he never knew he had. (Based off of Tinker Bell: Secret of the Wings)
The Ghost King is forced to hold a ball to find a consort.the batkid who dances with him leaves a birdarang or batarang behind and now it's like finding a needle in a haystack ("have you seen how many there are out there? one's a starfish!")
Mary Poppins AU: Danny is Mary Poppins and becomes a nanny for the Wayne Kids (maybe a no vigilante AU?)
Again, these are not required, these are just ideas for anyone who's wanting to write or draw something but can't think of what they want to do! Just some ideas to point people into a direction.
I hope they help and I can't wait to see you all participating in Disney Week!!

How close to death was Loki when he went through that portal? Like exactly?
Because if he was in a bad enough way that Danny immediately rushed him off to see a healer? Alongside an absolute refusal to die? This seems like a perfect opportunity for a new halfa.
Seems awfully coincidental that everything lined up so cleanly for that... Clockwork? Did you have a hand in this? Why are you smirking?
In the end, I think it could work really well because of Loki's core obsession, at least if it carried over from life. Loki wants to prove himself, to earn his Father's regard, to show himself a match for his more traditionally perfect brother. All of those are symbolized by one objective, Loki is obsessed with being king, mainly of Asgard but another greater kingship could work if he was given help shifting his obsession in a healthy way.
And that's the key here, healthy. This is not Loki betraying his new family for power. If you want angst, this is Loki doing his damndest to set aside his obsession with reaching for the crown because he refuses to do that to someone who has been so good to him, but struggling hard. He truly wants to not want to take the title, but it's literally his obsession, it's baked into his core.
The thing is, I don't think Danny would want to be king. He's still a kid, one who never wanted the responsibility of a hero, but bore it because he was the only one who could, and ended up with the even heavier burden of a crown thrust upon him because of it. Now though, here's his new family member who actually wants the crown and would have their obsession fulfilled by having it? Who has proven he would be a phenomenal Ghost King going by the quality of his advice? Who has been actively fighting his own obsession because it would be wrong?
I feel like the moment Jazz figures this out she would sit the two down and lay out the obvious solution they'd been missing because Danny is oblivious and Loki has issues.
Once they both see it though?
Done.
Transfer of title. As soon as they possibly can.
Danny can still be a Prince in case Loki spirals and he needs to take a break (or be made to) for a bit. But Danny finally gets to enjoy what's left of his life a little, and Loki finally gets to be a good king.
You know what I think would be neat?
Loki, the Sky Walker himself, when he fell beyond the trees branches but before that Purple fucker could get him... felt A path, much like the hidden ones he'd wandered for YEARS, and franticly tries to catch himself.
After all, he let go in a moment of incredible emotional distress. But that moment passes. The fear kicks in. The natural, strategist's, "survival at all costs" primal drive starts SCREAMING. You grab for the ledge. Try to STOP your fall.
But~!
What if? What he was FEELING?
Was a Natural Fuckin Portal.
And Loki is no slouch! He manages to change his trajectory. His mind is still in shambles, he's an emotional wreck, mascara probably running, just? Having THE WORST month or so of his life. He's too pretty for this bullshit, he would insist, if he wasn't FALLING THROUGH THE VOID.
He's made some choices.
They may have been ill advised.
Possibly even terrible ideas, actually.
But he's come too far to die NOW. And if his brother's insane adventures and hare brained schemes haven't killed him, then THIS sure as shit won't be putting him in an graves. He refuses to allow it.
He expects to slam face first into alien dirt. At speed. It? Is going to HURT, he knows.
But that is not what happens.
He passes through a yawning portal, into Veridian skys, and slams face first into the back of passing youth. Knock BOTH of them from the sky and through several nearby floating islands.
He nearly gets punched for it.
The boy only stopping, fist merely moments from his faces, when he seems to finally register the state Loki is in. The next thing Loki knows? He's being rushed off Yeti healers. A FUSS is being made.
The youth is strong arming him into being a guest in his... frankly ALARMING home.
Loki likes the Gothic one. She seems like she bites. But the boy's parents BAFFLE him. The boy, "Danny" just? Showed up with him? And declared he was a "visiting Fenton Cousin"? SURELY that can not WORK! Boy, they are your PARENTS, they know better then YOU who is and is not rela-.....
How did that work.
No, HOW DID THAT WORK? Child answer me. And explain the violent cold meats.
Just? Loki, intellectually stimulated, like a cat in a fresh new environment. Removed from stressors. Not the strongest being around by far, but enjoying the challenge none the less. Fulfilling his life long trained role of "king's advisory" in an almost relaxed Highly Sarcastic Uncle On Vacation Who Is Also A Semi-Feral Cat sorta way to this new Child King he found.
Loved and respected for Being Loki. Just Loki. No preconceived notions to fulfill, no roles he must play, just... Be Loki.
Best part? Asgard and Thor and such? Irrelevant! Their own closed system far, far away. He's finally FREE of the shadow Asgard casts. He's taken "starting over in a new country to escape a toxic home life" to a whole new weight class unique just to him. The dude is THRIVING.
And? I bet he REALLY enjoys tormenting Vlad.

Day 26 Back from the dead (RDJ) FEM!READER
3rd person Pov
In a quiet graveyard on a misty autumn night, the earth trembled softly as the full moon reached its peak. The air crackled with a strange energy, and from beneath a well-worn tombstone, a hand broke through the soil. Robert Downey Jr., once a Hollywood icon, emerged, brushing dirt from his tattered suit, his eyes glowing with a mysterious, otherworldly light.
Disoriented but strangely focused, he recalled only flashes of his previous life.
the bright lights, the red carpets, and, most vividly, the face of a woman who made his heart race. The memory of her smile and the warmth of her embrace lingered with him, a memory too strong to let go of, even in death. He didn’t know her name or where to find her, but he knew that she was the reason he had been drawn back to the world of the living.
Robert began his search, traveling through empty cities and quiet, moonlit streets. His return had gone unnoticed in a world that had moved on, but he felt a sense of urgency pushing him forward. He visited familiar places, haunting the shadows of old film sets and theaters, hoping to catch a trace of her. His once charming and confident demeanor now held a touch of desperation. He wandered from Los Angeles to New York, following the whispers of a love that seemed almost too distant to reach.
One cold evening, as he walked through a dimly lit alley in Paris, he stumbled upon a small jazz bar. Inside, the soft notes of a piano drifted through the air. It was then he saw her, seated at the piano with closed eyes, her hands dancing gracefully across the keys. She had aged, as he never would again, but her beauty was undimmed, her spirit still glowing through every note she played.
His heart, long dormant, leapt at the sight of her. He stepped forward, unsure if she would recognize him, unsure if he even belonged in this world anymore. But when she looked up and met his gaze, her eyes widened with a mixture of disbelief and hope. She whispered his name, and he knew that she had never forgotten him either.
They spoke in quiet tones, marveling at the impossibility of their reunion. She had believed him lost forever, yet here he stood, a ghost from the past brought back by the power of a love that refused to die. They spent the night walking through the empty streets of Paris, sharing memories and rediscovering a connection that had never truly faded.
As dawn approached, Robert knew his time in this world was limited. He could feel the pull of the afterlife growing stronger. But he also knew that he had found what he came for—a final chance to hold the one he loved and say goodbye on his own terms. They embraced beneath the pale morning light, tears mingling with smiles, and as he faded from her arms, he whispered that he would love her for eternity.
And though Robert Downey Jr. vanished into the morning mist, the memory of their reunion lingered, like the soft echo of a melody that never quite ends, a love story that transcended time itself.

DP x DC AU.
Danny Phantom has been the King of the Infinite Realms, a halfa, and hero for thousands of years now. He, by all accounts, is considered a god or Eldrich abomination (or both), which means his power levels are par to few/none. Under his reign, his planet Earth found massive peace (religious wars were stopped simply by asking people there, pre-meditated murder went out the window when the risk of them coming back as a ghost was very real, and Fenton Technologies compounded with Ghost Zone technologies had completely changed the course of human evolution).
Danny learned how to rule and does so well. He does it so well that the afterlife basically runs itself now. Sure, disputes still happen, fights still break out, but they're small affairs compared to how things used to be. As the King of the Zone, his mere presence has healed much of the cracks and fissures that had occurred under Pariah, and, even in a place where death and life mix as well as his own DNA mixes with Ectoplasm, where one minute there's a sudden influx of the dead just as a new species is born from the mythos of old, it's quite a content place to be. With the dimension's growth, so, too, has Danny, now looking like a man in his thirties, lean and strong but comforting all the same (he can never quite die due to his halfa status, but he stopped aging normally around the time he turned thirty-three - he now can appear however old or young he feels, and, after his family passed, he reverted back to his younger man days, which he felt was when things seemed to settle around him).
But, well... Danny is bored as hell.
Now, he's been looking to stretch his legs in the land of the living again. He's been a Zone Body for nearly 2500 years now, only making trips to his own dimension when called upon for input and to sit in on galactic meetings, but, even then, he's got tons of people who can stand in for him. Danielle, appearing as a late-twenties, early-thirties woman usually going by Ellie or El these days, is considered the Princess of the Realms and leads up exploration teams on different dimensions that have either pinched off from the realms, forming fully-living or fully-dead places, and better charting the healing process and anything they need to step in personally (while considered the 'land of the dead,' the Infinite Realms is more akin to a purgatory, connecting, well, infinite dimensions where life and death exist more exclusively, acting as a bridge, a binding agent, between time and space).
Danny decides to appoint his top advisors (largely still Sam, Tucker, and Jazz, who have become ghosts and, as royal appointees, have access to all afterlifes and free pass to go and come as they please, as well as some trusted long-time allies like Clockwork and Pandora) to keep eyes on everything for him while he takes a 'short scouting mission' with Danielle (i.e. maybe take a break).
Ellie and Danny head off to the next dimension on the list, and, as soon as they hit the ground running, it's immediately clear that this one is filled with issues.
While the general rule is that they don't meddle in dimensional affairs, this dimension, right off the bat, REEKS of stale Ectoplasm. Like it's been broken off and re-attached incorrectly to the Infinite Realms, and thus the normal flow of ectoplasm has stalled. This can cause a lot of complications, especially for people who come into contact with said ectoplasm. It's also a dimension of heroes and villains, which immediately kicks Danny's protective instincts into high gear.
Ellie manages to keep them on track... until they find out about a clone who's been treated horribly by both of his 'parents' even though he's done nothing wrong.
Then... yeah. She doesn't mind staying a little longer.
So yeah, they may be meddling, but this dimension needs help! They swear!
(The Justice League doesn't know what's about to hit them when two new, absolute power houses come on scene, one instantly going out of their way to adopt Young Justice, but mostly Superboy, while the other starts spearheading global unification in the most convoluted of ways. Well, except Constantine, who takes one look at the two heroes, INSTANTLY recognizes them, and nopes the fuck out. He's heard stories of the Ghost King and Ghost Princess, and, while pillars of goodness and justice, they are also known to be absolute hellions, and he's dealt with actual hell creatures).
#dp x dc#danny phantom#detective comics#justice league#young justice#Danielle is just going to adopt all the clones#She's been there done that and has a great mentor to show off#Danny is going to kick some ass#Mostly the religious fanatic kind#'Shut UP about who's god is real! They all exist and they all are pains in my ass. Work it out like adults'#Yes Danny is the boss of all existence basically#As pointed out in the show#Disconnecting from the ghost zone is a VERY bad thing

Deathday
Ectoberweek 2022, prompts: Forest. "He thinks about the corpse in the woods sometimes. Hard to forget where you are buried."
Summary: It's Danny's Deathday, and he, Sam, Tucker and Jazz are going to visit his grave in order to conmemorate it. This is a Corpse AU.
Content Warning: Mourning, Death
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o
They’re walking in silence, Tucker by his right and Sam by his left, the trees surrounding them blocking the sunlight, only letting some rays push through the foliage as they traverse through the roots and bushes that litter the ground around them. Jazz is walking behind them all, keeping an eye out in case anything happens yet still looking forwards, dread plain in her face as her lower lip quiver a little and her glassy eyes jump between the surroundings and her younger brother. Sam carried with herself a candle, a small yet thick one within a small glass case, a Yahrzeit candle, and a lighter in her other hand; sniffing could be heard from her as they kept walking, all with their head high yet never looking directly at each other's faces. Tucker looked ahead, flower bouquet in hand full of Tulips, Red, Blue and Purple Orchids, Yellow and White Roses and Chrysanthemum; tears already falling down his face yet still trying to keep a smile on his face, lips firm in that shape as his body remained tense through all the while.
And Danny? Well, he’s just going with the flow right now, walking alongside his friends and family since it doesn’t feel right to float during these travels. He thinks about the corpse in the woods sometimes. Hard to forget where you are buried. And right now on his Deathday, they’re all walking to where his remains lay underneath the soil, to where a makeshift grave is laid upon a tree. Usually a Deathday is a happy day for a ghost, it’s a celebration of being given a second chance after all, and it’s within the instincts of every ghost to fly around and go wild when the time comes, letting themselves bathe in the joyous occasion of having another year of still existing despite death claiming their bodies; however Danny is still masquerading as a human, still eating and sleeping and learning and breathing and walking like a normal human would do, he still has memories of what being human is like, and no matter how much he wants to party being a ghost, he can’t bring himself to do so when the most important people in his life and death are mourning him right now, he can’t take that away from them, and as such, in this third Deathday, he’ll accompany them, keep them grounded and remind them that death doesn’t mean gone.
They finally reach their destination, and Danny goes over his makeshift grave and positions himself over it, floating now and facing his friends and family. The tombstone is just a rock that has been chiseled a bit with the help of ghost powers, rudimentary, but suitable considering how fast and improvised they all were in making this. Next to the tombstone with no markings on it beside a D and an F resided a box, one made of wood with glass showcasing the interior of it, a few holes on the sides of the box so as to let the air flow, and a flower bed covering the place where Danny’s body is currently resting, right below Phantom’s floating position.
Sam is the first to come forwards, raising her sight to see the sun beginning to set, she lights the Yahrzeit Candle and puts it inside the box, closing it and letting it burn slowly but surely, letting it remain on for the following 26 hours. Tucker came next, placing the bouquet next to the flower bed, unfolding it, and planting them over the grave, making use of the thankfully still soft ground to give them a good footing, before finally retreating. Jazz was the last one, arriving by the gravestone and placing a hand on top of it, standing there for a few seconds before she sat down and put the same hand on the grave itself, waiting another few seconds before standing up and returning to Sam and Tucker’s side.
“Thank you guys,” Danny said from his position floating over his corpse’s home, “I know it’s not easy for you, but I also know how much it means for you, and I can’t stop loving you all for all that you’re doing for me.”
“Oh Danny…” Jazz was the first to step ahead and hug the ghost of her brother, soon being joined by his two best friends as well, and even though chivers ran through their bodies once they collided together, even though Danny phased his arms to open them and let them hug him, even though he stretched his hands inhumanely and circling the group hug twice, even though he began lifting everyone, even though tears ran down everyone’s eyes and the humans had to close their eyes to avoid witnessing something that would mess their perception of reality thanks to ghost eldritchness; even despite all of that, a smile could be seen across everyone’s face.
“What do you say we go to the Nasty Burger?” Danny let them all on the ground and turned himself back to normal, arms snapping back into their human position and hair returning down his face and recovering the pull of gravity.
“S-sure thing buddy, I could use a burger right now.” Tucker looked straight to his eyes, tears still dripping down his eyes but at least not pouring down anymore.
“A meal sounds like a good idea right about now.” Jazz cleaned the tears that ran down her eyes as she said that, leaving the cuff of her blouse humid.
“I’ll order you a milkshake as well.” Sam turned around, taking step after step in the direction of the fast food joint.
“For real!? Sam you’re the BEST!” Danny flew right through his sister and floated besides the goth
“Hey, you’ll buy me a milkshake too, right Sam?” Tucker trutted to where his friends were, managing to reach them in a few quick steps, “Sam? Can you buy me a milkshake as well? Pretty please with a cherry on top?”
“*sigh* You guys.” Jazz let herself sigh and smile, reminiscing on the times of the past where this exact scene played out as well, with the sole exception of Danny being alive back then. This time she would be joining them. “Guys, wait for me!”

Okay, but, hear me out: Jack already *knew* about Bruce and Clark. How did they meet exactly? Half of Bruce’s family has died and been resurrected at this point. When Damian was killed, Bruce went off the rails trying to find a way to bring him back. He stumbled upon the Fentons, and went to visit them as Batman. Maddie's out with Jazz and Danny' on a school trip. Jack's at home alone when Bruce shows up, wanting answers. He's too obsessive, too manic, too desperate. Jack’s like "oh, Robin's like his adopted son", bc Batman clearly loves the boy and os grieving. So Jack asks "he's your son, right?"
And it sort of spills out from there. Bruce has a breakdown. Jack comforts him, telling him how it felt when he found out his son had died, and that he and his wife had been treating their dead son like an enemy. And now things were stable, and his son is half alive, but Danny doesn't know they know.
Jack can't help too much, but he gives Bruce all of his research and some suggestions and asks him to call if he needs anything. Then he calls 24 hours later to check on him.
Bruce gets Damian back. He and Jack keep talking. It isn't like Gotham doesn't already have a weird relationship with death to begin with. Solomon Grundy exists. There are other people Batman deals with at various stages of alive and dead. So Jack Fenton is a good resource, he tells himself. Really, it's just nice to be friends with another dad of a superhero. Jack's powerful and brilliant and fights ghosts too, but he isn't a hero, so in some ways he's easier to talk to. He's never a potential JL member. He isn't a colleague. He's just a friend.
He's also a friend whose hero son has been cloned, apparently. And they're learning to manage suddenly sort of having a new kid/new niece.
So one day, Clark comes to Bruce and he's just frustrated with himself. He and Connor don't have a father and son relationship. Clark practically made sure of that with his early panic. Martha and Jonathan Kent raised Connor. But Clark's trying to have a non-hero relationship with him. Jon and Kon get on great. To Jon, Kon's his cool uncle/brother. And Kon adores Jon and even calls him his little brother when he thinks Clark can't hear (he can, he does know). Clark can't be a parent, but he wants to be something as Clark and Connor Kent, not just this awkward mess.
For once, Bruce knows someone who can help. He waits until, once again, everyone's out of the house, then he takes Clark to meet Jack. He told Clark this was his friend who is excellent at keeping secrets (though you wouldn't think so, he really can be when it matters). So they show up as Clark and Bruce. Jack’s got the fudge ready, and hot coffee and the promise that they've got six hours to try and figure out how to help Clark with his problem.
Clark admits to who he is easier than Bruce, because Bruce trusts this man implicitly, and because Bruce is nervous about introducing them because he clearly wants Clark to approve of his friend. That's new for Bruce, which means Jack is important. So Clark's extremely blunt about the situation.
Jack does have a similar enough story. He's also trying to figure out how to integrate Dani into the family, but things are awkward. Still, Dani hugged him and cried when they showed her the addition they built so she could have her own room.
Clark and Jack both end up giving each other advice and then call Martha Kent, who Clark quickly goes to get her and then flies her over. She takes to Jack really well, and they end up exchanging recipes. Jack's the one to suggest letting Kon and Dani meet, but Martha's the one that approves of the idea. Kon's experiences with other clones tends to be not great. The four of them plan a meet up.
This turns out to be a hero meetup, Dani Phantom and Superboy, only knowing the other is a clone. They hit it off really well.
So, Jack and Clark stay in contact. They both support each other as they try to forge relationships with the clone children in their lives. But that also leads to them talking about their hero sons.
Eventually, the three talk enough that they decide to have a meet at Bruce's home. Bruce gets Alfred to help him clear out the kids. He waffles about having Duke stay too, and ends up asking him if he wants to stay, but Duke points out that this is to try and help Damian make friends. Duke will come to the next one. So with that, the preparation's all complete, the Kents fly over and Jack and Danny arrive from their roadyrip.
Things seem to be going okay. Damian and Jon are best friends, so it's clear Danny feels like a third wheel, but Jon wants to try and be friends, so Damian's willing to go along with it. And Danny (the oldest) wants to try because he knows how important this is to his dad.
Unfortunately, that's when the ghosts attack.
Damian happens to have his sword and a few batarangs on his person, but is otherwise unarmed and out of costume. Jon is in a similar state. Danny is able to transform and fight back, but he's a bit handicapped bc until they can find a way to get Damian and Jon ecto-weapons, they're basically just living targets. So after being kidnapped, Danny manages to grab them and run.
They end up deep in the Infinite realms, and they have to try to find their way back.
Meanwhile, Bruce, Clark and Jack just witnessed their children getting kidnapped.
Bruce quickly gets changed, as does Clark. Then Clark flies them to Amity Park and the portal and Speeder. They take off, hunting for their children.
Adventures include:
- Walker being on their ass from the word 'go', and Batman having to outsmart him using his own made up rules.
- Superman still being all super strength, but he needs the ecto-equivilant of brass knuckles before his hits can connect. Once he has those, his punches hit just as hard as a normal Superman punch.
- They end up in the Kryptonian part of the Infinite Realms. This takes multiple chapters because not only are Kryptons gods there, but also Clark's parents. They're both happy to see him alive and thriving, but also a bit shocked by his values.
- Also, also, Kryptonians were high key kind of racist, and a number of them, while greeting Clark, are rude about his "mixed species" son, and mock Kon for basically everything.
- This is how they all find out that Superman is a lot stronger than all of them.
- The one nice thing is them getting to meet the god Nightwing, and Clark telling him about Dick choosing his name because of the stories Clark told him. And then Nightwing wants to hear all about Dick, and basically gives his blessing to use the name, along with a gift to take back to Dick. Nightwing also likes Bruce very much, also being a symbol of justice, fighting darkness with darkness.
- Bruce actively deciding that even if his parents are there that he could waste his whole life trying to find them, so he can't go looking for them.
- Jack getting waaaay more info on ghosts than he ever thought possible.
- Ending up in Ghostwriters library and doing some research.
- Eventually finding Clockwork, who congratulates Bruce for surviving his time stream adventures, but otherwise being cryptic and unhelpful in helping them find the boys.
- Said boys eventually finding ghostly weapons, which react to Damian and basically soul bind to him bc of his liminality and his strong will.
- Jon and Danny trying to explain the mechanics of their own abilities to fly and really sucking at it because both don't really understand and get confused.
- The kids have to slog through a bog.
- Youngblood.
- Cujo appearing at come point and Damian going *completely* starry-eyed about him.
- Damian and Jon both adopting ghost pets.
- Jon's are kryptonian animals, btw.
- The boys ending up in the Kryptonian part of the Realms way after their fathers.
- the boys meeting Clark's bio parents and having like an hour where things are nice.
- The Kryptionian ghosts Clark beat the shit out of wanting revenge, kidnapping Jon and mocking him for being not full Kryptonian/beating him because they can.
- Jon develops a new power, which even Superman doesn't have and manages to free himself.
- Damian and Danny exacting terrible revenge on those assholes.
- All three of them getting badly swarmed after that.
- Nightwing appearing and rescuing the boys. He's the one who ferries them out of the Kryptonian part of the Infinite Realms. He also gives a gift to Damian when he realizes that Damian stood at Dick's side as his partner and that their relationship is special.
- Nightwing also honors Danny as the one who defeated Pariah Dark.
- He also gifts something to Jon, because he is just as Kryptonian as the rest of them.
- The boys finally, finally ending up in Dorothea's lands, only for her brother to be attempting a coup.
- Batman completely outclasses Walker, leading Walker to helping them get to the Dragon Lands where the boys are.
- Superman and Jon beating up dragons together and Jon showing off his new power.
- Damian being recognized as a young ghost warrior by one of Pandora's people (who got stuck there during the coup when they wete visiting a friend).
- Dorothea wrecking her brothers shit.
- Father-Son bonding by fighting together!
- Clark being so proud of Jon and extra affectionate because he's so angry at the Kryptonian ghosts, and even more pissed when he finds out they hurt his son. Bruce and Jack literally have to hold him back from running off to destroy some ghosts.
- Damian's new warrior buddy managing to diffuse the situation by offering Damian a chance to take one of Pandora's warrior tests.
- Damian getting to meet Pandora, and learning about his new, burgeoning abilities as a liminal (not full halfa, but his experiences in the Infinite Realms, plus the weapons that soul-bound to him, plus Nightwing's gift (a touch of Nightwing's own power) mean he's closer to a halfa than a regular liminal and needs training.
- Bruce also being invited to try the trials.
- Clark is also invited, but declines, as he wants to check on his son's injuries (Frostbite is called to come help), and wants to spend a little time with Jon.
- Jack and Danny get to have a heart to heart. Jack admits he's known for a while, but that he's been scared about how to talk to Danny. He's so proud of Danny and how good he is. And he's proud of the way he handled Dani's appearance, as he did way better at 14 than Clark or Jack did as adults. He's proud, and scared of Danny getting really hurt.
- Danny is relieved and happy to know his parents actually know and love him and support him. He and Jack hug it out.
- After Frostbite arrives and heals Jon, Danny introduces them and Jack finally allows himself to go full AuDHD and ask a million questions, which makes Frostbite just an excited and they are so excited to have a research buddy.
- Damian and Batman win their trials. Pandora gifts Batman a one time boon to call for aide. Damian is given two more weapons, which soul bind to him and come from Pandora's armory.
The dads and kids go back through the portal, arriving to Jazz, Maddie and Dani down in the workshop making a robot that was Dani's idea. Basically a whole accidental full identity reveal.
Everyone ends up piling into the RAV, which Superman flies to Gotham so everyone can have dinner at the manor. It's a lovely night.
About a week later, Jon, Damian, Danny and Dani manage to get ahold of Kon and Kara and have them show up in the same remote place. It took some serious work, but the managed to have a cool surprise for them.
Wulf opens a portal, out of which steps Nightwing.
Danny had to get multiple powerful ghosts to agree to help to make this happen, as gods of dead worlds aren't really allowed to leave the Infinite Realms.
Nightwing blesses both Kara and Kon as true Kryptonians, and gives them both a gift. They'd both heard about some of the adventures Jon and the boys went on. As Kara had the most memories of Krypton, she especially had been called upon to talk about her and Clark's homeworld after everything went down. It's literally awe-inspiring to see one of Kryption's gods.
Kon, meanwhile, is near tears because his existence has just been validated by a god of his people. A people which had always treated him with disrespect, who used his own name to mock him. And Nightwing blessed him and gave him a gift. Kon feels so accepted and happy that he literally can't keep his feet on the ground.
After this, it comes out that Kon and Dani have actually been working as a team, as their powers compliment each other pretty well, and he's gottan Dani to join Young Justice as a junior member.
Jon, Danny and Damian, meanwhile, have formed their own team. Jon now has someone he can basically go all out with, and Damian has two people he can practice his new abilities with without risking killing of maiming them.
Damian also starts getting harassed by ghosts, but that's where the Fenton Tech really comes in handy.
Bruce realizes that somehow he did manage to get Damian a new friend, but also got closer to Jack and now has another best friend besides Clark.
DPXDC Prompt: Supersons + 1
What if Jack became friends with Clark and Bruce. And Danny accidentally becomes apart of the Supersons.
Jack takes Danny with him on a trip to visit his friends- just for it to turn into a playdate. But it isn't long for the cat to come out the bag especially since Danny's rogues can sniff him out.
So now all three are trapped in the ghost zone and this is way more than Danny wanted to reveal with day one "friends" . (maybe its walker)
And their dads having to come find them. Jack leading the charge because he has no idea Clark and Bruce are superheroes LOL But he knows ghosts when he sees them >:U
Could also be a good moment to have good dad Jack- one that once he knows Danny's phantom is immediately wait.. that's my son… MY SON? IM COMING DANNO!
Imagine just very heartfelt. Jack learns to reconnect with his son- Danny has more connections and now protection. Jon is happy to have a flying friend. And Damian still appalled Danny's bad at his identity. "It works because most people wouldn't think I'm dead." "Except for other ghosts?" "I told you that's not something I can avoid >:T." And be even funnier if Clark and Bruce had to go along with Jack WITHOUT being super. Even Jack doesn't find out about them. Which Danny is fine with keeping secret. So they have to work off of limited unsettling tech and still pretend they're a good shot because of other reasons.. or hits. Imagine Jack is like sensitive to Bruce's parents death like OH WAIT- sorry Clark you take these. Brucie, I got the boo-merang and the anti-ghost staff somewhere. That's my wife's favorite. uwu Jack also the reason they couldn't slip away into hereos because he dragged them along shouting FLITHY SPOOK! GIVE ME BACK OUR SONS!... in the Fenton RV... so imagine they had... Quite a ride.

Wings
Good people grew wings.
How wings grew, why they grew, and the exact criteria for being a good person, were unclear. Science had discovered many things over the years, but human wings remained a mystery and the closest thing to real magic the average person would ever know about. Even so, this one point, that you had to be good to grow wings, was agreed upon by virtually everyone.
You had to be good.
Saintlike, even. Literally. If a person had wings, even teeny tiny ones, and was even vaguely Catholic, they were almost certain to be sainted shortly after their death.
This was why Danny was sure there had to be some kind of mistake. That this had to be a prank. Or a trick. Or even the result of some weird ghost power Danny didn’t know about.
Not that he thought he was a bad person. He tried his best! But he was well aware of his many, many flaws. Some might say that was the first step to working on them, except… He did not do that.
Which was yet another sign that the small, downy lumps growing very painfully out his back couldn’t be real.
He didn’t deserve this.
(A sentiment he meant in many ways. Primarily the obvious one, but he also didn’t want to have to deal with two new limbs on top of everything else in his life.)
(Like, he’d just gotten used to having a tail, and the tail wasn’t a permanent addition. Or even an addition, really. It was more of an exchange. Two legs for one tail.)
He inhaled shakily and turned away from the mirror. His face was pale and drawn. Dark circles were painted under his eyes. Slightly pink scars from the fight with Skulker last night stood out on his skin. They’d fade in a few days.
Hopefully, so would the little bumps on his back. If not…
His knuckles went white on the counter. At some points in history, it had been dangerous to have wings grow in out of nowhere. People would wonder why. And if that why wasn’t compatible with what the local government wanted, if what they were doing was good but illegal, well… But the point was, some people had taken rather extreme measures to avoid being caught.
Like cutting off their wings.
Nausea rose in Danny’s throat at the notion of cutting off any part of his body. He could do it. He had access to enough sharp things and had a high enough pain tolerance. Plus, he could turn certain body parts intangible, to get a better angle on—
He turned to the toilet and threw up.
The article he’d read on the internet had said that, sometimes, wings growing in disrupted the other functions of the body. Hormonal imbalance.
Wings might be magic. This experience? Not so much.
Then, when did radical changes to his person ever happen painlessly for him? The Accident, the Accident Remix, his ice powers, puberty in general…
Yeah.
He shuddered and reached for the lever.
Maybe they’d be small. Size depended on how good you were. At least, that was the prevailing theory. Since he shouldn’t have his at all, they should be small. Tiny. Hopefully. Hidable. Something he could keep under his shirt. Something no one would notice. Something that wouldn’t be investigated, wouldn’t be questioned.
Oh, god, what if they showed up on Phantom as well? That would be a nightmare. Most ghost hunters and occultists didn’t even think ghosts had feelings. One showing up with wings would make them furious. They’d be convinced that he was faking. That he was trying to capitalize on how people thought of wings to make himself look better.
Oh, geez, and that wasn’t even getting into how they’d interact with his suit, which repaired any damage done to it every time he transformed.
He shifted, rings sparking over him, and reached around his ribs to touch his back. Which still had two very sensitive lumps.
.
“Danny,” said Jazz, sitting on the edge of her bed and steepling her hands, “how many times have you saved Amity Park?”
Danny frowned. “What does that have to do with anything?”
She pressed her fingers to her lips. “Okay. How about how many times you’ve saved the planet?”
Danny shrugged.
“Don’t you think that might, I don’t know, contribute to the present situation?”
“That’s—I don’t—Jazz, I live here. Of course, I’m going to protect the place I live.” He started pacing back and forth.
Jazz stared up at him. “Are you sure that’s what going on? Really?”
“Yes?”
Jazz stood up and put both her hands on Danny’s shoulders. “Danny. You’re a good person.”
“I’m not, though.”
“Okay. Tell me why you think you aren’t a good person.”
“Bad future ring a bell?” replied Danny acerbically.
“You mean the future that never happened.”
“I wasgoing to cheat on that test.”
Jazz inhaled deeply, then sighed. “Cheating on a test does not make you a bad person.”
“I destroyed the world.”
“No, you didn’t,” said Jazz. “last time I checked, the world was just fine. And wasn’t Dan half Vlad anyway?”
“It was still my fault,” mumbled Danny.
“Maybe,” allowed Jazz, “but that doesn’t mean you aren’t a good person, doing good things. Also, you wouldn’t be the first person to grow wings even though you did something bad earlier. Everyone does bad things.”
“Like who?” mumbled Danny.
“Uh,” said Jazz, “I haven’t exactly prepared a list. Um. Oscar Schindler. Like, by all accounts he was kind of terrible right up until, you know.”
Danny sighed and extracted himself from Jazz’s grip. “How am I supposed to hide them, anyway?”
“Well, if they stay small, you should be able to just cover them up. I wouldn’t recommend binding them, that’ll deform the bones. But if they get bigger… Can’t you just keep them invisible and intangible?”
“No,” said Danny, after a beat of time staring at Jazz to make sure she wasn’t joking. “I can’t hold onto either of those for that long. Especially not in human form.”
“Well,” said Jazz. She ran a hand through her hair. “In that case… You might not be able to hide them.”
Danny closed his eyes. “I hope they stay small.”
But he had a feeling they wouldn’t.

Summoning
Ectober 12,021 Human Era ao3
Danny had been summoned before, of course, because Sam wanted to test every possibility and Danny was curious about whether or not it could even work. Death, was of course, not enough to curb Danny’s curiosity, and second death probably wouldn’t either. It wasn’t a wholly unpleasant sensation when he wasn’t fighting it, but when he was struggling against the summons, it was like being vacuumed through space-time. Sadly, Danny knew what being vacuumed felt like.
So, when his nice summer vacation was being interrupted by the insistent tug of a summoning, Danny groaned and turned to Tucker. “This does not count as me losing our mat-” He did not get to finish, as with a pop he was yoinked through space-time with the force of a giant’s fist closed around him. That much will power focused into a demand for his pressence was either someone in great danger holding one of his keychain charms, or some cult was getting intense. Either way, not a good situation.
Danny’s ghostly form appeared first as a cloud of green ectoplasmic mist and he let it stay that way for a moment while he got his barings. Amity Park was about 894.775 miles away based on that odd 7th sense he had for where it was relative to himself, and all around him were trees, candles, and chalked over dirt. When Danny pulled himself together into the form of one ghostly superhero, he zeroed in on his summoner, expecting at the very least a teenager, if not an adult. Instead, he had to look down even when he stopped floating.
“Stars, even babies are getting into the occult now,” he muttered, bending down to get near eye level with the oddly white haired boy in blue. “Hey there little guy, nice to meet you. Mind telling me where I am and why you summoned me?” Danny wasn’t stupid enough to assume that youth meant innocence, he’d seen plenty of horror movies, especially without seeing his symbol anywhere on the kid, but he could at least be nice. Jazz had been trying to get him to deescalate situations rather than pun with his fists.
The kid with the baby blue suit and giant white pomphadore stared at Danny critically, a scowl in place as Danny failed whatever test the kid apparently had for him. “You’re the king of ghosts?” While taking the Vlad-like sneer as a sign that he did not like this child, Danny tripped mentally over that particular question. He blinked, cocking his head to the side.
“Pardon?”
“This ritual and invocation was specifically meant to summon the King of Ghosts, Pariah Dark.” There was… caution in the kid’s aura, Danny noticed. As though he wasn’t sure this was a trick Pariah was playing on him for shits and giggles. It was very odd to imagine Pariah Dark giggling at all, though.
“Well,” Danny said, voice pitched high as he shrugged and floated off the dirt a bit. “I was the one who beat him up and shoved him back into his sarcophogus when he ripped my town into the Infinite Realms. I never really understood why the zone would even need a king, so I wouldn’t’ve guessed that it was a title you could win in combat. But, I mean, if you summoned me looking for the king…” Danny rolled his hand a few times, a full 360 degrees, a grin forming as he considered the possibilities that came with royalty.
The kid cleared his throat and stood up straight, a spike of fear tinting his aura now that he knew Pariah was defeated. “Well, your majesty, I had called you here with a request. The legends say that you could be called upon to strike a bargain?”
Danny arched a brow and decided he might as well play along. With a flick of his wrist a chair made of ice and ectoplasm crystalized into existence beneath him, the arm rests shaped to resemble bear heads that glowed his ghostly fire trapped inside. Reclining, Danny held out a hand. “You still haven’t answered my first two questions, kid, and a third joins them: what exactly is your name?”
“My name is Gideon Gleeful, your majesty, this is Gravity Falls, Oregon, and I have summoned you to help me vanquish my enemies.” Danny arched a brow, wondering how someone so far north had such a southern accent. “The Pines family has been a thorn in my side for far too long, and in their possession is a book that I need in order to wrestle control of the town back from them.”
“Control of the town, huh?” A crow, large and beautiful, flew down to rest on Danny’s shoulder, and he smiled. “Why hello there, pretty bird. What can you tell me about this little fella here, if I may ask?”
“Nasty, dangerous, iron grip. Feigns the Sight through false ears and eyes, attempts to pressure a mate out of the shining one.” Danny hummed, nodding along to the Crow’s message, and crafted a small swirling replica of the Milky Way with his ectoplasm, encasing it in his unmelting ice to hand off to the crow. It took off with an affectionate nip to his eat and Danny turned his attention in full to Gideon, who flinched under his glowing gaze.
“And what, exactly, do you have to offer me in exchange for helping you, if I decide to at all?” Danny sneered down at Gideon, doing his best to project just how grossed out he was by what the crow had told him into the air.
“I-I can get you anything you want, your majesty! The rarest of birds, gold, land here in Gravity Falls, even!”
“Anything I want?”
“Anything!”
Danny couldn’t help it, he really couldn’t. He tilted his head back and laughed, and laughed, longer than was humanly possible, and his voice echoed far more than the trees should allow. Then, he snapped his eyes back onto Gideon and held out his hand, blazing with ghostly green fire. “Your soul, then.”
Gideon stumbled back like he’d been smacked, eyes wide. “My what?”
Snorting at the goose honk that just came out of his potential business partner, Danny let his eyes become blank with green light, and smirked down at Gideon. “The price, Gideon Gleeful, is your soul. I feel like that’s a rather simple transaction to have with the King of Ghosts, don’t you? Oh, and my thanks for that revelation.”
Gideon’s aura was sharp with fear before souring with anger that nearly overtook it, and he pulled out a leather book with the number 2 on the front. “I don’t need to make this a transaction, ghost, I only offered to be nice. You can’t leave that circle unless I-”
Danny held up a hand and curled his finger toward himself. Gideon was wreathed in blue-green light and drawn into the circle and up to Danny’s level. “First of all,” he said slowly, “your circle is an oval, just enough for it not to count as containment, and second of all, I don’t need to leave it to get what I want, Gideon. Now, you’re going to undo whatever summons you did so that I can go home the easy way, or you’re going to have a very bad time. After all, little boys like you shouldn’t be summoning kings from the depths of the afterlife, especially not out in the woods alone. Am I understood?”
“P-p-perfectly! I’ll be sendin ya home now, sir!”
“What did you call me?”
“Majesty! I’ll send you home, your majesty!” Gideon was set down and Danny rose from his makeshift throne.
“Good. Get on with that. Oh, and don’t you dare take this out on the crows, I saw how you looked at her when she spoke to me.” A shaky nod and something that might’ve been latin later, and Danny was once more in Tucker’s room, floating near the ceiling. “Dude, you will not believe what just happened to me.”

Rebirth of an Era AU
The ghost zone is sentient and treats all ectoplasmic creatures as her children. Every couple thousand years she will pick a few Spirit born (ghosts that didnt have a previous life) to be incarnated as living creatures (something something about a deal with her sister that is the material world) for a few decades of life before returning to the infinite realms upon their deaths.
This time around she decides to give some of her eldest a vacation and Nocturn, Pandora, and Clockwork all get incarnated as humans, also Pariah Dark, she wants to give him some sort of a chance to prove that he can still come back from the darkness he has fallen into and living amongst humanity might do it.
So the three Ancients (plus one dictator) are humans and have no recollection of their life as ghosts. Nocturn, Pandora, and Clockwork ended up (totally by chance and not at all because the infinite realms asked their sister not to separate them in life) adopted siblings under the same parents. Clockwork is the oldest, then Nocturn, then Pandora.
Also incarnated Pariah Dark is their neighbor. Did I mention that they live in Amity Park? And that they are all the same age as Danny and Co?
What to expect from this au?:
Three other members of team Phantom as the Ancients figure out the half ghost thing pretty quick after Danny's accident
Clockwork and Jazz motherhenning this gaggle of children as the oldest (friendship with parent Clockwork has ended, concerned older brother Clockwork is now my best friend)
The Ancients getting a suspicious number of assumptions about ghosts right but nobody really bats that much of an eye.
Pariah Dark noticing something is off and working with Wes.
Vlad being suspicious(TM) of these three teenagers that act a little like some primordial beings he has heard about.
Nocturn and Tucker bonding over video games, cue Nocyurn falling asleep anywhere and everywhere because he was up all night okay DOOMED with Tucker and refuses to drink coffee
Pandora and Sam bonding over being badass fighters with strong opinions (that usually align pretty well)
Pandora being sporty as hell and beating ghosts up with her bare hands while Nocturn is just passed out face down on the pavement and Clockwork is dragging Danny away from danger("She has it covered" "I can fight!" "No, you are a tiny bean that looks like a strong wind could knock you over. No fights, not until you can actually control your powers")
Also maybe just maybe some Dark Ages content

The whole of the United Stated had called then a threat. Unfeeling. Unthinking. Lower than demons, and worse because they were a frequent occurrence.
So, of course the Justice League did what they did best.
They planned and predicted, and prepared to capture the King of Ghosts (a child...a tired, broken child who ruled out of desperation rather than greed).
It was, all in all, too easy. They'd found him flying over Amity Park, wavering slightly in the air with exhaustion after escaping the usual capture attempts by the Fentons and the GIW agents.
They placed him in power dampened handcuffs, and threw him in a jail cell, trapped within a hidden secondary base somewhere in Canada. And tried to interrogate the King. (And failed to realize the ridiculous notion that something supposedly mindless like ghosts were described to be even COULD be interrogated)
King Phantom pleaded his people's case, but no one would listen to him. Of course, none of these Government-abiding adults would listen to a ghost boy desperately trying to avoid war.
"Take your people and leave this world. Every last one of your 'ectoplasmic entities'. You are not welcome here".
"Very well. I will take all of my people, down to the very last one, and we will forever renounce the world that birthed us. You will not see us again. I would pray that you don't regret this but...according to you, I'm not sentient, so I have no reason to pray"
Bargain struck, a portal swallowed the King, and within a short few hours, every single sensor blared a warning of several portals opening over Earth, and drawing in a veritable flood of ghosts. No spirit left behind. No Liminal Human abandoned.
Clark.
Until portals started opening underneath several heroes.
Wally.
Robin.
One by one, the Watchtower became a little emptier, as the remaining heroes realized their mistake. Death-touched people were just as much beloved citizens of the Infinite Realms as full Ghosts.
The Watchower truly emptied then. As it's heroes rushed home to check on their families.
The Manor was empty. Too empty. 6 months without any Ghosts or ghost-adjacent beings. Not even natural portals opened anymore. Bruce Wayne mourned the children Batman lost to his pride. Even Cassandra had left...even Tim, although not having died before, had gone and killed hundreds of the League of Assassins during his quest to pull Batman from the Timestream.
Apparently, even the killers were Death-touched enough to count
What did that mean for people like Ra's Al Ghul and his Assassins?
Jason...Jaylad had willingly turned around and left them all behind in the first portal that opened within the Manor, followed by the rest of Bruce's kids.
Their bargain had been clearly worded, and paid for not by the Ghosts, as they'd thought, but by the Living left behind, who flooded the streets, screaming their grief at having their friends and family so cruelly and thoughtlessly ripped from them by the "heroes" who swore to protect them.
Deep within the Realms, close to it's very center, a grand Keep hovered in it's endless skies. It orbited the giant crystalline sphere known as the Core of the Realms. Within it, a mourning King, his Beloved Consorts mourning alongside him, sat upon the Throne, watching his Mirror-born Daughter chase blob ghosts down the halls of the Keep.
Phantom curled up between Sam and Tucker. His friends. His truest family, along with Jazz. And lately, the ones who'd together conspired to be entwined together with him for Eternity.
And he loved them so much more than he'd understood before.
"Was it worth it, I wonder? Do they still sing victory over us, out in the Living Realms? Or have they finally come to understand, that their bargain, once struck, cannot be undone?"
Arm gently encircled the three Royals, and pulled them close to one who'd become a true Mother, now that the threats and objects of desire she had pursued had become null.
Talia Al Ghul pulled her newest children closer towards her, and hummed a gently lullaby, like she hadn't done for Damian in so long. Until now. Her throne was little more than dust in the wind, in the wake of her Beloved's rash actions. Her Father had discovered a passion for History, and put his long years of experience to good use, along with the ones named Ghostwriter and Sojourn.
One Jack Napier, formerly The Joker, was struck from the Book of Souls and thrown into the void, to be hunted by the great Leviathans that make the ectoplasmic Depths of the Realms their home. He would never learn, but King Phanton was not as blindly foolish as Batman.
Things would eventually grow better for the Infinite Realms. King Phantom was a gentle, loving King, who cared for his people all in equal measure, and always did his best.
The Living Realms? Well, they had scorned their dead. Their opinions no longer matter. Let them become dead first, and then they'll truly understand.
Word of the Day dpxdc Prompt #18
July 22: Illustrious
The Justice League are well known for their heroic acts and overall saving the world. Them eradicating ectoplasmic beings (aka ghosts) was seen no different, as it was classified by many organizations and governments for ghosts to be a threat needing to be rid of. The general public also congratulated the JL for continuing to do what was the best for the world they live on, seeing ghosts as an intrusive species of sorts.
Now, how did the Justice League permanently get rid of ghosts? They captured the well-known leader of said ghosts, having multiple sources saying that it was the problem for the ghosts, or Danny Phantom. Then they interrogated the ghost, which are known to be malevolent and good actors/liars, and decided that the best course of action was to just make a deal for Phantom to take it's ghosts back where they belong and shut down the portal that Phantom admitted was allowing them in OR be forcefully done so to any extent including violence.
After all, ectoplasmic beings didn't belong in their universe and cause problems, even if their leader tried to contain them. There was plenty of evidence and science from funded government branches and organizations stating ghosts to be malicious and completely non-sentient. Why wouldn't the Justice League properly get rid of them and save the world once again?

Teleport
Summary: Danny finally learned how to teleport, but where is the 'off' switch? Pairings: Hints of Sam crushing on Danny Warnings: Danny accidentally teleports into the girl’s locker room, but only for a few seconds; he’s as startled as they are. Danny and Tucker have a no-homo thing going on, they should probably just hug it out already.
On Ao3
-
"Hey! Sam! Sam, wait up!"
Sam glanced over her shoulder. When she saw Tucker chasing after her with an anxious look on his face, she stopped walking down the sidewalk. Tucker was able to reach her in no time, but he had to bend over and gulp in large breaths afterward.
"Something wrong, Tucker?" she asked after giving him a few seconds to catch his breath. "I thought I was meeting you and Danny at school today?"
"Well, yeah," Tucker panted, "that was the plan, but…Have you seen Danny?"
She raised an eyebrow. "No. Why? Did something happen? Is he in trouble?"
Tucker waved his hand, chuckling between gasps. "No…well, yes…well, kind of…"
"Tucker…"
"No, he isn't in any real danger. Yes, his secret may be in jeopardy."
Sam widened her eyes. "His secret might be in what? What happened exactly?"
Tucker stood up straight, using his beret to wipe his sweaty forehead. "Well, this morning, while Danny and I were walking to school, he had a breakthrough on teleporting. He practiced it a couple times by teleporting up and down the sidewalk when no one was around, getting farther and farther away. He was getting really good at it!"
"O-kay," Sam said slowly, "so somebody saw him doing this?"
"Um. No."
"What went wrong then?"
"Well, we were almost to school, so he changed back to Fenton. But a few seconds after he did, he disappeared and—"
POP!
"Tucker!" Danny jumped on Tucker. His best friend screamed and would have shot three feet in the air if Danny's Hug of Death was any less secure. "Finally! I've been trying to get back to you for who knows how long now! Oh, hey, Sam! Wait, where'd you come from?" He loosened his hold on the trembling Tucker and looked around. "This isn't where I left you, Tuck…"
"He came to find me after you apparently disappeared," Sam explained for their shell-shocked friend. "Danny, what's going on? Are—"
"I can't stop teleporting, Sam!" Danny all but shouted, unwrapping one arm from around Tucker so he could wave it around for emphasis. "One minute I'm walking peacefully down the sidewalk, the next I'm in my room! So far I've teleported to school three times, to the Ghost Zone twice, my room five times, yours once, Tucker's three, Vlad's house one time too many, and once I somehow ended up, like, fifty feet in the air! I can't control it!" He released Tucker, and latched onto Sam's shoulders, earning a surprised gasp from the Goth. "Make it stop, Sam! I can't take it anymore!"
"Danny, calm down!" She brushed Danny's hands off her shoulders, but he quickly grabbed her wrists. She scowled. "Danny, let go of me before I show a very incriminating photo of you and Tucker to Jazz."
Danny's hands flew away from Sam like she was an evil ghost in disguise. "I thought you burned that!" He hesitated before giving Tucker a one-armed hug again.
Sam smirked. "Why would I get rid of perfectly good blackmail material? Is there a reason you keep grabbing onto us, Danny?"
"Yeah, dude," Tucker said, finally regaining his wits enough to eye his strange friend. "It's getting awkward."
"I am being teleported all over the place without my consent," Danny reminded them, "can't I get a little sympathy from you guys?" They gave him bland, completely unsympathetic looks. "Alright, fine. By holding onto you stationary people, I'm hoping you will anchor me and stop me from teleporting."
"Wouldn't we just teleport with you though?" Sam asked.
Tucker's eyes grew large and he struggled against Danny's hold, but even in human form Danny was stronger than him.
"No," Danny grunted, "because it takes a lot of control to be able to teleport more than one person, and clearly I don't posses any control over this, whatsoever."
Tucker relaxed but his nose wrinkled. "It still feels awkward, Danny. Go hug, Sam."
"I'm not hugging you," Danny protested. "This is a manly arm grip!"
"It doesn't feel very manly."
"Doesn't look like it either," Sam said, smirking.
Danny huffed. "Fine." He dragged Tucker closer to Sam and then threw his other arm around her neck before she could protest. Sam gasped and struggled, upset—if her red face was anything to go by—but Danny started walking, and his friends were forced to follow. "Alright! Now this is teamwork!"
"More like kidnapping!" Sam shouted.
Tucker teased, "You know you like it, Sam."
"Oh, yeah, I just love to be held against my will."
"It's only until this stops," Danny tried to reason.
"Oh? And when will that be?"
"Uh…I don't know…"
She sighed, resigned. "This all started after you changed back into Danny Fenton, right?"
"Yeah…"
"Well, maybe you'll have more control of it if you're in your ghost form. Seems to me your ghost half would have more control over your powers than your human half would."
Danny hung his head, wishing he could face-palm without losing his anchors. "I should have thought of that…"
"That's what I'm here for. Now hurry up and change while the streets are empty."
Danny nodded, and in a flash of light, he became Amity Park's number one ghostly hero.
After a few seconds, Sam cleared her throat. "You'll have to let go of us to test this, Danny…"
Danny flinched. "B-but what if it doesn't work and I start teleporting like crazy again?"
"Then we'll just have to think of something else!" Sam hissed, "Now let go of us before somebody sees Danny Phantom hanging out with Danny Fenton's friends!"
Danny grimaced. He slowly, very slowly, released his best friends. They walked a few steps farther ahead before stopping and facing Danny again. He had his eyes pinched shut and his hands fisted at his sides.
"Did I teleport?" he asked, keeping his eyes sealed.
"No." Tucker chuckled. "But you look constipated. Loosen up, dude."
Danny cracked an eye open, but upon seeing the same setting as before, he grinned, and jumped in place. "Alright! Way to go, Sam!" He went to high five her, but seconds away from making contact, Danny became consumed by green mist. The mist disappeared along with Danny, followed by a popping sound.
Sam lowered her hand slowly, and exchanged glances with Tucker. "Uh, I guess it didn't work…"
Tucker sighed. "We might as well get to school, Sam. He's not going to show up here any time soon…"
-----------------
POP!
"Paradise Lost!"
Danny's momentum carried him through the motion of the high-five, but because Sam's hand wasn't there to meet his, his swat carried into a somersault in midair. "Whoa!" He righted himself and jerked his head from side to side. The faces staring up at him were familiar, but the location wasn't since only teachers and their favorites were allowed inside the teacher's lounge.
Danny laughed nervously. "Um, uh, whoops?"
Mr. Lancer was the first to regain his composure. He stood up and fixed his tie in a nervous habit. "Mr. …Phantom, what is the meaning of this?" Sweat noticeably broke out over his forehead.
Danny flushed. "Um, I'm having a few technical issues with my powers…" He cleared his throat and floated with his back straight, adopting his 'hero' voice. "Sorry for the inconvenience, citizens. I'll just be going…"
But after a few seconds, Danny still floated in place above their table, staring fixedly into space. The teachers looked at each other in confusion. The Art teacher pulled out a sketch pad and started sketching the focused Ghost Boy in profile.
"…Any second now…"
If they had crickets in the staff lounge, they'd be chirping.
"…Any second…"
Mr. Felucca stepped forward, his index finger poised in question. "What power are you having difficulties with, Mr. Ghost Boy? As a scientist, perhaps I can be of assistance."
Danny grimaced. "Uh, actually—"
Ms. Tetslaff slammed a fist on the table, and the sudden violence made Danny start in surprise. "If it's power he's having trouble with, it's me he should be coming to for help! I'll whip him into shape!"
He winced, and drifted away from her. "Uh, it's not really a physical power—"
"I have studied many classical stories that teach great, historical lessons," Mr. Lancer said. "Perhaps one of those will be of some use to you, Mr. Phantom?"
"Thanks, but I don't—"
The Mythology teacher scoffed. "Your literature is of no use to a being of exponential power. My myths have way more value to him than your 'fiction'."
"I don't need—"
The Psychology teacher snapped her fingers. "It may be psychological! Please feel free to tell me all about your problems. I'm here to help!"
"I don't have a psychological issue! Why does everyone always think that?"
Ms. Loretta gazed at Danny's skinny body with a critical eye. "Perhaps it has something to do with malnourishment. Do ghosts have to eat? I can make you something, boy."
"…Uh…no…"
The Government teacher trembled in his seat, staring up at Danny in fear. "W-we should call somebody about this! Call the Fentons! Call the Guys in White! They'll know what to do!"
The Art teacher reached out and pinched a fold of Danny's jumpsuit. "Is this latex?"
"Hey!" Danny knocked his hand away and floated a few paces away from him. "No touching!"
"We should give him a physical!"
"He needs to learn a moral lesson!"
"What he needs is more meat on his bones!"
"Oh, how am I going to capture that glow…"
"Something must be wrong with the inner workings of his mind!"
"The FENTONS!"
"Perhaps it is his molecular structure that is causing the problem!"
"QUIET!" Danny shouted. The teachers instantly quieted. "There is nothing wrong with my body, my mind, or my morals, alright? I just developed a new power and I'm having some difficulty controlling it. That's all!"
The teachers backed away from the panting ghost boy.
Mr. Felucca was the first to gather his courage. He asked, "What kind of power?"
Danny relaxed. "Teleport—"

The teachers gasped, and stared at the spot where the Ghost Boy had once been.
"NOOO!" the Art teacher cried, and threw down his half-complete sketch. "I was so close!"

"—ation."
"Breach in Sector 8! We have a breach in Sector 8!"
Before Danny had a chance to gather his bearings, several ghost nets crashed into him and bound him to the floor. Where the net touched him, little bolts of electricity shot into his system like static jumping to a doorknob. Danny growled and struggled against the painful bindings, but the whirring of a ghost gun made him freeze. He looked up into the tinted sunglasses of a GiW operative.
"D-Don't move, Phantom!"
Danny's eyes half-lidded in boredom. "Oh great. The Mr. Clean Groupies…"
"Quiet, ghost," another agent ordered. "We have you surrounded."
Danny looked past the two standing over him. "Let me guess, the reinforcements are invisible?"
Danny wasn't able to see his eyes, but the second agent's brows furrowed, and his mouth turned down.. "I don't like your tone, boy."
Danny used his infamous cocky smirk. "Like I care? With only two agents, why should I worry? I could take you guys out easy."
The first agent, the one who had stuttered, gulped. Without warning, he shot at Danny.
Danny gasped, and dove to the side. He needn't have bothered, though. The shot was way off target. It crashed into the wall five feet behind Danny.
"Agent N!"
Danny eyed the scared agent warily. Like cornered wolves, frightened hunters packing heat were dangerous. "New agent?" he asked the other guy.
He grunted. "As green as they come. Listen, kid," he faced Agent N, "there is a rhythm to these things. We exchange witty banter, and then we start shootin' them."
Agent N nodded his head rapidly. "Y-yes, sir. Understood, sir! Should I tranquilize him, sir?"
"Wow, he is green."
The senior agent scowled. "Tranquilizers don't work on ghosts, recruit. Get your facts straight!"
Agent N stuttered apologies. Danny rolled his eyes and wished he would teleport out of there already.
"W-what do we do then, s-sir?"
The other agent grinned sadistically. "We shock him until he loses consciousness."
Danny flinched, but tried to hide it. "Gee, so humane. You must be very proud of your species."
"I am." The senior agent pulled a button switch out of his pocket, and poised his thumb above the large red button. Danny breathed in a deep breath, readying a Ghostly Wail. Passing out and transforming in front of them wasn't an option. "Or, I don't care about yours. Prepare yourself, ghost scum."

The first thing Danny noticed was the absence of annoying static shocks. The second thing he noticed was the absence of everything else. Including air. He was really glad he took a deep breath before, though the breath was almost stolen from him when he looked down at the Earth. Like, the Earth, the blue planet Earth.
I'm in space! he thought, grinning goofily. He gazed around himself in wonder. He had been to space before, but he'd been too busy fighting to really admire the scenery.
Stars in every direction, as far as the eye could see, he was on the sunny side of the Earth, but he could see the moon poking out from behind the rocky planet. A comet was off in the distance, its ice and dust particles trailing behind it as the solar wind tore at the ice rock. He closed his eyes, and lights danced behind his eyelids as the solar wind hit him.
Danny sagged, and his expression became dreamy. It's so beautiful…this just makes me want to be an astronaut even more! I wish I could stay—Air! He gripped his throat. Air! I need air!

"Chronicles of Narnia!"
Danny gasped in air, like he'd never tasted anything so sweet. Space was awesome, but it'd be a lot better with oxygen.
"Danny Phantom!"
Danny spun around, and found his first period class staring up at him the same way he had stared at Outer Space. A nervous smile worked its way onto his lips. "I'm just dropping by. I'll be gone in a second, so please, don't let me interrupt."
The class started whispering to each other in excitement, looking like they were seconds away from mobbing him. In the back row, he saw Sam scowl. She hated his 'hero' voice. Tucker waved discreetly to him, and Danny subtly nodded back. He was glad Valerie didn't have his first hour…
"Mr. Phantom!"
Danny looked over his shoulder at Mr. Lancer. "Uh, hello again…"
Lancer frowned. "I take it you haven't fixed your 'problem'?"
"…No."
"Then perhaps you would like to sit in for my lesson," he said, smirking like he had just won a contest. "Perhaps you will learn something."
The students screamed. No longer able to contain themselves, they jumped out of their seats and rushed for Danny. He floated out of their reach, feeling nervous and slightly nauseous. Tucker and Sam joined them in order to keep up appearances, and Danny was annoyed to see Tucker filming it all on his PDA. His classmates gathered below him, shouting for autographs.
Danny backed away, breathing fast. "Uh, I don't know if that's such a good idea! Besides, I probably won't be here for much longer, or at least I really hope not, so I—"

"…and that is why, I believe we can use the town's little ghost problem to our…" Vlad trailed off when it became apparent he didn't have his audience's full attention. "…advantage…"
Despite the meeting being comprised of mostly professional reporters and self-important civilians, they were whispering rudely amongst each other, laughing and pointing at something behind Vlad. He looked behind him, but all he saw was the red curtain. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully.
"…As I was saying," Vlad said, turning back to the microphone on the podium, "with an interest in ghosts growing worldwide, more and more people will be traveling to Amity Park in search of the fabled beings—one in particular, I might add. I say we encourage this by building tourist attractions that will bring in large crowds of people."
"What?" a familiar voice exclaimed. Vlad smirked, his suspicion confirmed. Danny Phantom flew in front of him, his arms thrown out. "You can't bring more people here! I knew you were a fruitloop, Vlad, but this is going a bit far!"
"Ah," Vlad said suavely, "Amity Park's famous Ghost Boy. So nice of you to join us."
"Cut the crap, Vlad…er, Mr. Mayor…" Danny blushed and glanced over his shoulder at the flashing cameras and excited audience.
Vlad chuckled. "If it puts you more at ease, you're welcome to use my first name. It's the least I can do for our star attraction."
Danny refocused his righteous gaze on Vlad, but he floated to the side of him so his back was no longer to the cameras. "You can't bring tourists here, Masters."
"Oh? And why not? It'd be very profitable for this town."
"You mean it'd be very profitable for you," Danny corrected. "And you can't bring them here because, in case you haven't noticed, this town isn't very safe. The people living here know to run when a ghost attacks, but tourists will get closer because that's what they came to see. People could get seriously hurt…"
"Do you doubt your ability to protect them, little hero?" Vlad questioned, smirking mockingly. "We can use the funds the tourists bring in to hire more competent ghost hunters, so I assure you there is no need for such fear."
Danny scowled at the 'competent' part. "You're making a mistake, Masters. You can hire a hundred ghost hunters, but they won't be enough to—"
POP!
Vlad raised an eyebrow. Interesting… He hadn't expected the boy to develop his teleportation powers so soon, but his apparent lack of control more than made up for his accelerated growth. He'd make the boy suffer a while longer before he approached him.
He turned back to his murmuring audience. "Any questions?"
The crowd shot to their feet.
-------------------------
Ms. Tetslaff blew her whistle. Her students looked at her with hope in their eyes and sweat covering every inch of their exhausted bodies. "That's enough for today," she said. "Shower up, you lazy maggots!" The students silently cheered and limped toward the locker rooms.
Tucker almost fell over in relief. He'd take helping Danny fight ghosts over gym any day. He was tempted to curl into a ball and fake dehydration, just so he could sit and relax for a few seconds. Sadly, it was not to be. Sam bounced to his side, and Tucker for the second time that day cursed the girl's athleticism.
She grabbed his arm, and forced him to stumble toward the locker rooms. He muttered complaints, but being the good friend she was, she ignored them.
"Any sign of Danny since this morning?" she asked him quietly.
"Once," Tucker replied. Even his voice sounded tired. "He made a brief appearance in third period chemistry class, and I mean brief. He was there for all but five seconds, but it was still enough to disrupt the whole class and get us out of homework." He grinned. "It was awesome! What about you?"
Sam shrugged. "He popped into second period Art Class. Everybody started sketching him, including Mr. Coal." She smirked. "Danny looked so embarrassed."
Tucker chuckled. "I bet. How long did he stay?"
"Five or ten minutes. There were a lot of disappointed groans after he disappeared, but Mr. Coal managed to finish. It looks really cool too…I also heard he made an appearance for History Class, and Government." She rolled her eyes. "The Government teacher tried to call the Guys in White, but he got taken captive by his class."
Tucker laughed. "Oh man! I wish I had seen that!"
"We can ask Danny all about it once we see him again," Sam pointed out. "If he stays long enough…"
Tucker chuckled.
They split into their gender specific locker rooms, waving goodbye. Still chuckling, Tucker grabbed his shower supplies and strolled into the shower area. Because of a recent ghost attack, tarps littered the area, for once creating some much needed privacy. Too bad Danny was missing it. Mr. Modesty would most definitely appreciate the seclusion.
Tucker stripped down, and was just about to turn on the water when…
POP!
"Tucker!"
Tucker jumped.
Danny nearly hugged him like he had that morning, but he stopped at the last second. He pulled slowly away, making a face. "Uh, you're my best friend and everything, Tuck," he said, "and I love you like a brother, but I am so not touching you when you're naked…"
Tucker hurriedly wrapped his lower half in his towel. "Well no asked you to!" He looked at his best friend, noticing the tousled white hair, the tear in his jumpsuit, and the way his eyes twitched and darted around the room. "Having a rough day, Danny?"
"Like you wouldn't believe!" Danny pulled on his own hair—explaining why it was so messy—and stared at Tucker with unnaturally large eyes. "I never know where I'm going, or when I'm going there! It's all completely random! And I've seen things, Tuck! I've seen things…"
Tucker held his fists against his naked chest, mocking a scared expression. "Were they dead people?" he whispered.
Danny blinked, scowled, and crossed his hands over his chest, sulking. "Oh yeah, ha ha. Laugh at the poor kid who just saw Ember and Skulker making out."
Tucker's jaw dropped and his face turned slightly green.
Danny smirked. "Yeah! Not so funny now, is it!"
POP!
Tucker stared at the empty space before him for a moment, wondering where his traveling friend would end up next.

It happened very fast.
Danny saw what every straight guy dreams about, committed it unintentionally to memory, and was then deafened by shrieks. He screamed too and quickly covered his eyes with his hands. He turned around and tried to fly out of the Girl's Locker Room, but he forgot to go intangible, and he crashed into the lockers. The girls started throwing towels, hairbrushes, and other items at him.
"Sorry! I'm sorry!" he shouted over their screams, cowering in a corner. "I have no control over where I'm going!"
POP!

POP!
Danny was never so glad to hear that sound. Still, he stayed in a fetal position, too afraid to see where he had teleported to. Maybe if I stay still, he thought desperately, I won't teleport!
"It's alright, Danny," a kind and familiar voice said. "You're safe here."
Danny opened his eyes slowly, and stared up at Clockwork. The Time Ghost in, the form of an old man, smiled kindly back down at him.
Danny grinned and jumped to his feet. "Clockwork! Man, am I glad to see you! Listen, you have to help me! I can't stop teleporting everywhere, and I'm seeing things I really don't want to be seeing, going places I shouldn't be going, and you probably already know about all of this, because you're the Master of Time and everything, but I have to tell you because—"
"Danny, you have something on—"
"—I'm freaking out here, because I can't stop teleporting—"
"Danny, your head—"
"—and I'm seeing things I should not be not be seeing, and it won't stop, Clockwork, make it stop!" Danny leaned his head against his Guardian/mentor's chest, whimpering pathetically. "Make it stop…"
Clockwork hesitated, unsure. He reached up a hand, and patted Danny awkwardly on the shoulder. "I…I'm sorry, Danny," he said, sounding sincerely apologetic. "It's not my place to help you."
Danny's shoulders slumped in defeat. He drew away from the timeless ghost and shook the hand off his shoulder. "Yeah…I should have figured that…Sorry for putting you on the spot, Clockwork."
Clockwork changed into a toddler. He sighed, and shook his head. "There is nothing to apologize for, Danny. You ask far less of me than most ghosts. However," his tone made Danny glance despondently up at him, "I can tell you it will end soon."
Danny straightened, and his eyes brightened with hope. "Really?"
The Time Master nodded sagely. "Indeed." He smirked, and it was very odd to see such a sarcastic look on a kid's face. "By the way, Danny. You have something on your head."
Danny frowned. He brought his hand to his head and pressed down, immediately feeling something lacy. He grabbed it and brought it down to eye level. It was a white bra. Danny let out a half-yelp and quickly tossed it away from him. He wiped his hand against his pants, making a face.
Clockwork chuckled, now a middle-aged man. "I thought you were over the 'cootie' stage by now, Danny."
Danny grimaced. "I'm fourteen, and I have an older sister. You do the math."
Clockwork nodded. "Fair enough. You have ten seconds before you teleport again."
Danny looked dismayed. "So soon? Can you tell me where I'm going?"
"Home, Danny. To Fenton Works." Danny smiled in relief. "But you won't get a warm welcome."
He frowned. "What do you mean by that?"
"Five…"
"Clockwork!"
"Four…"
"I can't believe you're counting down!"
"Three…"
"Whoever heard of Master of all Time counting down the time?"
"Two…"
"'Hey, I'm Clockwork! I'm counting down because I'm awesome like that—'"
"One."

"GHOST!"
"Ghost!"
"Warning! Warning! Ecto-entity in the lab."
Danny blinked. "Wow. What a welcome home…"
His mom grabbed an ecto gun off one of the lab tables and shot at Danny. He gasped and quickly dove beneath it, escaping the shot by a hair. Jack shot a net at Danny, but it missed him completely. Still in a ball, it ricocheted off the wall and expanded over Maddie, knocking her to the ground and sending her gun flying. Danny clamped his hands over his mouth, trying to smother his giggles.
"Jack!" Maddie shouted angrily, struggling inside the net.
"Sorry, sweet cheeks!" Jack dropped the net launcher and grabbed the weapon they'd been working on before Danny arrived. "I'll get you out of there as soon as I capture this ghost!"
"Jack! We haven't fixed the—"
"BONSAI!" Jack pulled the trigger. Ectoplasmic goop shot into his face.
"—trigger…"
Danny wasn't sure whether to be embarrassed by his father (again), or be grateful he messed up an attack (again). He just chuckled weakly, and rubbed the back of his neck.

As soon as the green mist cleared, Danny looked around his new surroundings. What he saw made him grimace, and not just because the green and gold color scheme was an eyesore.
"Ah, Daniel. I was wondering when you'd 'pop' in."
Vlad stepped out of a darkened hallway, haunting smirk in place. Danny spun around and crossed his arms over his chest, lifting an eyebrow. "Do you always have to make a creepy entrance, or is this another fruitloop thing?"
Vlad huffed, looking offended. "It's dramatic, Daniel, not creepy."
"Where'd you learn it from, Villainy for Dummies? Seems like overcompensation if you ask me."
Vlad's eyes flashed red, before he schooled his expression into one of mocking regret. "I was going to offer you my expertise on teleporting, but if you're going to be immature, I have more important things to do." He turned around, walking back into the dark hallway.
Danny gasped, and quickly flew in front of the man. "Whoa, hold on!" He held up his hands in front of Vlad, forcing him to stop. "You can stop this? You can make me stop teleporting?" Vlad nodded, and Danny smiled happily. "Great! I—Wait." The smile fell from his face, and he eyed the man suspiciously. "What's in it for you?"
Vlad's lips twisted into a smirk. "No longer naïve enough to expect anything for free. I'm proud of you, little badger. My price is the usual."
"Renounce my dad and become your evil apprentice?" Danny crossed his arms again. "Forget it, Vlad."
Vlad shrugged his shoulders. "Then enjoy the rest of your life filled with uncertainty." He walked around Danny, raising a hand in farewell. "Ta."
Danny winced. He chewed on his bottom lip, thinking. He hated teleporting. If he ever got out of the rut he had fallen into, he swore the power would definitely be crossed off his list…He groaned, and flew after Vlad. "Vlad wait!"
Vlad halted, his expression triumphant. "Yes?"
Danny refused to meet his eyes. "I…The reward isn't worth the price, Vlad, but…will you teach me to control this power for…Mom's cell number?"
Vlad's eyes sparkled in interest. "You'll give me her phone number?"
It was difficult, but Danny managed to keep from grinning triumphantly. "She'll probably never forgive me, but yes. I mean, it's not like you'll get anywhere with it…"
Vlad smiled cockily. "I assure you, Daniel, I can be quite charming. I'll be your legal father in no time." Danny gagged, and Vlad rolled his eyes. "I suppose we have a deal?" Vlad held out his hand.
Danny stared at it, making a show of hesitating. "Alright…" He reached out and grabbed the other hybrids hand. "Deal."

Danny blinked, and when his eyes opened, it wasn't Vlad's ugly décor that greeted his sight, but Amity's newspaper office. People occupied cubicles, writing down stories on computers and scribbling notes in their notebooks, but no sign of Vlad.
"No!" Danny screamed, frantically searching the office for his savior. He could have followed him in ghost form, right? The sound of typing and pencils scribbling on paper instantly ceased, but Danny didn't notice. "I was so close to ending this!" He ran a hand through his hair, pacing back and forth on the open air. "I finally outsmarted the creep, and I get whooshed off before I can even celebrate! Where's justice in that? Is this some great cosmic joke? Just—"

"Danny?"
Danny spun around. His friends stared up at him, along with the whole Casper High cafeteria. He was floating over the lunch line, and even the lunch ladies were gaping openly at him. Slop slipped off one of their spoons.
Danny laughed. "Great. Just great. Of course I'd wind up here, again."
"Danny," Sam hissed, "go invisible!"
Considering the students were starting to rush in his direction, that was sound advice. Danny turned invisible. His fans slowed, groaning in disappointment, but Danny felt no sympathy. He placed a hand on Sam's shoulder, and whispered, "I'll meet you guys at our table." She nodded and whispered the message to Tucker.
Danny sat in his designated seat and placed his head in his hands, just taking time to relax and not think about anything. A few minutes later, Tucker and Sam sat at the table on either side of him.
"Danny?" Sam asked quietly. "Are you still here?"
Danny nodded his head, but realized they couldn't see it. He sighed. "Yes."
Tucker stuffed some mystery meat into his mouth. "So how's your day been?" he asked cheerfully.
Danny groaned.
"Aw, it can't be that bad." He grinned, and nudged what he hopped was Danny's shoulder and not his head. "Sam says you teleported into the girl's locker room while they were changing…"
Sam stabbed her salad, growling low in her throat. She muttered what Danny assumed were threats against mankind.
"They nearly killed me, Tuck."
"Yeah, but you would have died a happy man!"
Danny's lips twitched. "True…"
Sam slammed her spork down, her face flaming. "We are never speaking of it again, and you—" she pointed a threatening finger at Danny's seat "—are going to forget what you saw. Got it?"
"…I don't think I can, Sam…"
Sam growled, and Tucker laughed. Danny smiled, though they couldn't see it, and snuck a fry from Tucker's tray. Being invisible had its perks.
"The school is in an uproar, Danny," Sam said after a minute of silence. "…More than usual. Valerie is going crazy trying to find you, Paulina constantly fixes her makeup, and the teachers seem to be competing against each other…"
Tucker nodded. "There's even a bet going around about where you'll pop in next!"
Danny raised an unseen eyebrow. "Do I want to know who started the bet, Tuck…?"
Tucker coughed into his fist. "Depends on what you plan to do to him—or her! For all we know, the evil, clever, and no doubt charming mastermind might have been a girl."
Danny rolled his eyes, and stole another fry from the 'clever mastermind'. "Uh-huh."
"Have you learned any control yet?" Sam asked.
Danny grumbled. "No. I convinced Vlad to help me, though."
"How'd you manage that?" Sam asked.
He smirked slyly. "By offering my mom's cell phone number."
Tucker frowned. "But your mom doesn't—" His eyes cleared in understanding. He smiled at Danny. "Niiice, dude."
"So, you know how to stop now?" Sam asked.
Danny sighed. "No. Before he had a chance to tell me, I teleported away."
"Well," Tucker said, "that explains the rant. That must have been really frustrating."
"I wasn't ranting!" Danny protested. "I was…expressing my anger to the universe."
"In other words, ranting," Sam concluded.
"…Alright fine, I ranted."
"Maybe there's a pattern to it," Sam suggested. "You've been here for a while. What are you doing differently now?"
Danny shrugged. "Talking to you guys, focusing on not teleporting so I have a chance to relax."
"Maybe that's the answer then. You just have to concentrate on your surroundings and on staying in one place."
He grimaced. "I don't know, Sam. What about when I—"
POP!
Sam groaned, and leaned back in her chair. "Great. Here we go again."
Tucker chuckled. "Look on the bright side, Sam. At least the bet—that I had no part in making—is still on. I'm going to be rich!" He went to grab a fry, but the bucket was empty. He frowned down at his tray. "Where'd my fries go?"
