I genuinely wonder how and when Jay and Nya took dance classes together, because there’s no way they could just do that dance competition with no training. Like…did Jay ask for it first or did Nya bring it up or what? What was the storyline here? I’d say Cole taught them because of his musical background but he was just as shocked as Kai and Lloyd that Jay could dance. I dunno, it’s just such an adorable little addition to their relationship. And the little way he says “I love you!” when he’s lifting her???? My heart <3

i feel like jaya hate because of early misogyny is really okay!!! i dont hate jaya and do ship it but its not my otp

i see people get harrassed for dislike a ship as popular as jaya and honestly its completely valid

he and nya had a really toxic relationship where jay still saw her as "the girl" and it seemed to be the reason why he even hit on her in the first place +skybound nya deserved all the female rage she could get!!she was also roped into a love triangle and jay held her, which i could see as infuriating as she never asked.

it also seems like a dislikable ship because of how forced it seems, the "destiny says so" trope wasnt well spaced out and rather rushed. also, they might be too openly affectionate which could be annoying.

compare them to pixane for example-they have never directly told eachother "i love you" and have never shared a kiss. people also complain its boring because of the lack of affection, but i feel like their love language isnt words or physical touch. but, they do express their care in times of need. they are almost a jaya parallel.

im not sure what else to type and sorry if this isnt well worded or elaborated enough. i just wanted to say stuff

to give my general opinion on the whole “wyldfyre gets a boyfriend thing” I have high hopes because Ninjago has my favourite straight ships because jaya is amazing and pixan was my otp from this show for years until recently. I think worst case scenario he ends up being not a great match for wyldfyre and then he disappears for next season like Skyler and Vania and we end up just shipping her with Euphrasia and/or sora AND BEST CASE SCENARIO we get wholesome nerdy simp with weird taste in romance and a chaotic gremlin who’s trying to pretend she’s not an awkward mess and Kai who goes from an overprotective dad to recreating the toothless flirting scene in two minutes and we get a new mc who sticks around pix and frog man (I forgot his name I’m so sorry) I can totally see this flopping but with how well season 1 of dr was and how non problematic canon ships (that aren’t lloyd & harumi) are in this show I think it’s gonna fine

At the beginning of 2023, I decided to participate in The Year Of The OTP: 12 prompts. 12 months. One ship. I chose Niko/Aleksi because, well, in Niko’s own words, they’re soulmates. 🤷‍♀️

(Srry this is my first serious ask and I'm really excited lol)

Anyway, one hc I have (that I've been debating adding to the series for a while) is that every member of the ninja has (at least) one other person on the team that they just CANNOT lie to. Sure, they could fool everybody else on the team, especially if they're all together, but ask them to lie directly to that one specific someone and they either start miserably fumbling over their words, get caught instantaneously, or a pathetic mixture of both.

And as far as favorite ships, Jaya and Pixane are wonderful ofc but I LIVE for lava. The OTP of ever. Like, I srsly CANNOT stop thinking abt them at any given moment istg.

-Favorite thing about them: I like how he's both the coolest guy around and also a huge dork about it. Like yeah he's an incredibly talented ninja but its just the peak 14 years old energy of it all

-Least favorite thing about them: I dont think i saw enough espio content to have a least favorite thing, at least i dont have any that i can think about on the spot

-Favorite line:

I love when he unironically says shit like this, he's so genuine about his ninja power and i love him for it
