Backstory: You and Tyler didn’t really talk much. You worked at the same place but never really clicked. It seemed he was always wrestling, eating, or at a club bringing girls to his hotel room.

It was a rainy day. Dynamite started in a hour. You were getting ready when Dante texted you and asked if you wanted to go to a bar after the show.

Y/n: “ ofc! what time? “

Dante🍃: “ how about 10:30? I’ll pick you up at your hotel “

Y/n: “ that sounds great! I’ll be ready and waiting! “

At the show :

U were in the Gloria waiting for your music to hit you were going to face Anna Jay. Your music hit and you were pumped. You went out and had fun. Anna was a good friend of yours so when your match got announced you were excited. You hit Anna with a code red and then your finisher the moon salt. You pinned Anna 1… 2… 3… you beat Anna.

After the match you shook Anna’s hand as a sign of respect. Both of you went back stage after your match and were talking when she asked if you hand any plans.

Anna: “ you have any plans tonight? “

Y/n: “ yeah im going to a bar with Dante “

Anna: “ like a date? “

Y/n: “ Anna he’s like a brother to me we’re just hanging out “

Anna: “ Alright but let me know if anything happens “

You laughed a bit. You and Anna went to the viewing room. Usually after one of your matches or a promo you watched the show together. You guys kinda just talked most of the time. Not really watching the show it was more of a catch up. When you guys went to the viewing room you seen whose match it was. It was Tyler’s match. You never really talked but had a few conversations here and there. You thought he was cute obviously but the lack of expression on his face and lack of speech never really gave you any signals so you assumed that he wouldn’t really go for you. His music hit and your eyes were glued to the screen. Anna tried to talk to you but usually got a yeah or ok or sometimes a that sounds good but you weren’t really listening. You were watching Him. Anna picked up after a bit and teased you.

Anna: “ hey y/n you like your boyfriend’s match so far? “

Y/n: “ yeah, huh? wait what? “

You payed attention real quick. Anna laughed at you.

Anna: “ you so think Ty is cute “

Y/n: “ do not “

Anna: “ you so do I can tell “

Y/n: “ sure Anna “

Anna: “ is it just you and Dante going to the bar? “

Y/n: “ im not sure but I guess I’ll find out “

Anna: “ let me know what happens at the bar with Him if he goes “

He’s not going. Right? That got you thinking what if he did come? How would you talk to Him? It always seems like you talk and he never listens he doesn’t really talk to you. Anna said she would help you get ready. Of course you said yes. Anna helped you do your makeup and gave you some clothes. You wore ripped jeans and a Red Lacey top. You waited outside of your hotel waiting for Dante. You waited for about 15 minutes. It wasn’t Dante’s fault you were early. But it was cold and you didn’t have a jacket. You were shivering. you were freezing. Finally you seen Dante’s car and rushed over to it. When you got in the back seat someone was there to “ greet you “ it was Him. You were still cold and shivering. You said hi to Dante and hi to Ty but all he did was give you a death glare while eating his chips.

Y/n: “ alright then “

Tyler: “ you cold? “

Y/n: “ im fine “

Tyler: “ you want my hoodie? “

Y/n: “ I said I was fine “

Then he took off his hoodie and handed it to you.

Tyler: “ it’s to cold to be wearing that anyway “

Y/n: “ mhm thanks “

Tyler: “ yeah “

Your pov:

You put his hoodie on. You liked it but didn’t show it. The rest of the car ride was silent except for the chip bag that Tyler was eating out of. We got to the bar and we all walked in. Tyler already seen his hookup for the night. You seen his eyes go to her. You were a little jealous but that didn’t stop you from having a good time. The bar tender was pretty cute but not Tyler cute. You still thought you would at least try. At least he actually talked to you and actually listened to what you had to say. You looked over at Tyler who looked to be giving you a death glare. Or maybe it was The bartender? Probably both of us.

His pov:

I seen a girl when I walked in. I knew her from somewhere. It turned out she went to my high school. I walked over to her to catch up. We haven’t talked in ages. After I was done talking to her I walked back over to Dante. I started talking to him but I seen Her Y/n she was flirting with The bartender. It seemed like she always was upset or had an attitude when she tried to talk to me. I wanted to talk to Her but I never knew what to say. Dante kept trying to talk to me.

Dante: “ but then I was like.. hey man you Ok? “

Tyler: “ im fine “

Dante: “ your death starring y/n and the bartender “

Tyler: “ im not “

Dante: “ I can tell you’re on edge “

Tyler: “ it’s nothing “

Dante: “ listen I see the way she looks at you she so likes you don’t worry dude “

Tyler: “ whatever Dante “

I zoned out looking at them when she started waking towards me.

Your pov:

I was sick of Him looking at me like that. I walked up to Him and asked what his problem was.

Y/n: “ what’s your problem? “

Tyler: “ nothing your just basically giving The bartender a lap dance “

Y/n: “ why do you care don’t you have a whore to fuck? “

Tyler: “ do you think that’s all I do? “

Y/n: “ it is all you do. You don’t even talk when someone talks to you you just say your listening when your not. “

Tyler: “ well it’s hard to talk to someone with a constant attitude “

Y/n: “ it’s hard to talk to somebody with no emotion. “

Tyler: “ I have emotions im still a human y/n “

Y/n: “ it doesn’t seem like it you don’t even look for a relationship you just fuck people like your collecting cards. “

Tyler: “ collecting cards? “

Y/n: “ yes, and when someone try’s to talk to you, you just sit there and don’t even pay attention. “

Tyler: “ I do pay attention. I pay more attention then you think “

Y/n: “ more attention to hookups “

Tyler: “ I hear more then you think y/n “

Y/n: “ what do you hear other then girls moaning in your ear? “

Tyler: “ no I hear you say im a piece of shit because I don’t listen to anything. When you were upset about losing your title I listened. When you were talking about your new gear you were excited for I listened. When you were talking about how excited you were about your match with Anna I listened. I hear a lot. “

Y/n: “ im sorry I didn’t know you actually heard me. “

Tyler: “ who wouldn’t listen to you “

You heard Him say it he listened to you. You felt so bad about all the times you left the conversation because you didn’t think he heard you, or the times you talked to the girls in catering about it always seems like a one sided conversation, or that he didn’t listen and all he cared about were hookups. You didn’t know how to make it up to Him.

talk shop tuesday - outside of your active WIPs, what is/are your next big fic/fics on the horizon, even if they're just outlines for now 🎤?

Oooh 👀 interesting question! This got long, so under the cut:

So ofc the Morgan and Lucy AUs are my active WIPs but…within those, there are some fics that I haven’t written but have been at least vaguely outlined.

For the main Morgan AU, these include:

1x17 and onwards fic. I haven’t decided if this will include the finale or if that’ll be its own fic, but I’ll see how the flow goes

E2 rescue fic. I’ve gone back and forth about having Morgan help rescue Jesse, but I’m more and more in favor of it as time goes on. Her dynamic with E2 Barry is so sweet to think about 🥰 (and E1 Barry being a little jealous of Morgan calling another version of Barry “like her brother”, even tho Morgan would clearly only be saying that to mess with him 😂). Plus, her potential standoffs with Zoom compel me. I’d have to rewatch the episodes to add more detail. In any case, Morgan would definitely use the telepathy link as an excuse to come, hoping she can find some way to reopen it after Jesse accidentally (not that Morgan knows it was an accident) closed it in the last fic

Jesse POV fic. This covers the events of s2 up to [episode TBD] from Jesse’s POV. So we’ll get to see her get kidnapped, her interactions with Zoom, befriending the real Jay (which didn’t happen in canon, but the medallion says that’s dumb, so it happens here)…and the telepathy link. I originally thought of taking it up to 2x16, but…since Morgan’s likely gonna be part of the E2 rescue, I’ll have to fiddle with things 😅

2x16 fic. Eliza survives this ofc, and as I’ve mentioned prior, there’s no split personality. Taking inspo from the comics for this one, and blending it with show canon: she got powers from the accelerator and the constant defibrillation made her powers unstable. She thus created the drug Sharp to dampen her powers. She’s also a WOC like the comics, unlike the show. Beyond that, the rest is TBD 😂

Morgan & Jesse roommates fic! This is the “enemies to besties/sisters” fic. Jesse shows up at Morgan’s apartment when she runs away, and though Morgan is reluctant to help because of how she and Jesse rub each other the wrong way (they’re a bit jealous of each other, seeing the other as the best version of them, etc etc), she ofc does—she can’t let Jesse wander Starling City alone, especially without powers and with Zoom possibly able to find her if he’s hellbent enough on it. Over time, they get to know each other and become close! Exact timespan is unknown rn, but depending on which episode this needs to be wrapped up by, I might artificially extend the time to at least a few weeks

2x17 fic! I’ve thought about this quite a bit :D Barry time-traveling to 1x11, being furious at Thawne and guilty that he can’t help the others…and also also, using Morgan against him 👀 Eowells is a sucky father in so many ways, but if he knows Morgan is in grave danger, he’ll do anything to stop it (after all, she can’t be his treasure if she’s dead, can she?)

s3 arc. This is…vaguely outlined. I’ll have to sit down post-s2 and really go through it, and especially as I rewatch s3, but…I’ve thought a lot about it, especially how I’m gonna rewrite Savitar and his dynamic with Morgan. I’ve been inspired quite a bit by the comics lately, especially a certain blue speedster in them…👀

For Morgan AU spin-offs, these include:

the “daddy issues AU” is starting to be outlined! I’ve written a couple snippets to get in the zone too :D the first fic just covers Barry’s placement with Eowells and meeting Morgan…and it’s delightful to write. That’ll be the only fic from Barry’s POV, I think—the others will be Morgan’s. It’ll cover s1…possibly s2 but I doubt it

CF AU s1 has been vaguely outlined, even though that’s a ways from now 😂 it’ll ofc be Barry’s POV and cover him waking up, realizing Morgan and Iris are hiding something, and trying to uncover it while hiding his own secret. Don’t worry though, everyone is ofc looped in way sooner than canon

I am ofc currently writing the first fic of a soulmates AU, which should be done this week, and although it’s just the intro fic I’ve written (pre-s1), I’ve thought about how the s1 arc will go. Specifically…how Morgan and Barry’s interactions will go 👀 I can’t say too much because of spoilers, but needless to say, there’s a big mystery at the center of s1 regarding Morgan…and she doesn’t realize it for a while

For the Lucy AU…there’s a few:

post-ESB fic, pre-ROTJ. Covers the fallout of ESB, sorta bridges it to ROTJ. This will be when Lucy gets her Jedi training, while Luke is reeling from the Vader reveal and goes off on…whatever quest he goes on (I still need to read those supplemental comics 😅). Lucy is also, ofc, reeling from Lando’s betrayal—she can’t seem to shake it, even while Leia’s able to push through it. Leia gets Lando’s reasons on some level, even if she’s hurt…but Lucy doesn’t. Something else major also happens 👀 but…spoilers!

TFA fic! Which is jumping ahead quite a bit, but…vague outline and all that. Lucy is ofc raising Rey on Jakku, and there’s some growing pains…especially since Rey, unlike canon, wants to go out into the world, because she knows her family is out there. Lucy, however, believes everyone is dead and that they’re safest here. She’s tired of fighting, tired of losing people. They clash quite a few times about this…though ultimately, when Lucy finds out Leia is alive, ofc she and Rey both go. Also in this fic, there’s no fake Poe death, so the ST trio is established from early on!

OH ALSO:

PJO x Flash AU!! How the PJO trio gets to the Arrowverse is still up in the air, but they have their show appearances (their backstory is the books’ story, not the show, though there are a couple things from s1 I’m carrying over). And ofc the central conflict, besides the general events of the show, is that the more Team Flash finds out about these kids’ past, and especially about the Prophecy, the more reluctant they are to send them back. This causes a number of fights between Barry and Percy in particular, because Percy wants to get home to Sally and also take on the Prophecy so Nico doesn’t have to. Barry meanwhile is so angry that Percy has to make the choice between protecting his loved ones and keeping himself safe. There’s also, in s3, some fun Savitar & Percy interaction that furthers these themes…👀

That’s about it as far as vaguely-outlined fics go! Probably a bit of a longer list than you were expecting 😅 but I do like to bounce around

jay's from all the stress on her shoulders, with all the navy training as a kid and living up to her father's expectations. she gets less now, finally free from her father's clutches.

chip's from the lightning. the day they brought gil back and it hit him, he'd accepted his fate. if he'd die, at least gil would be back. but he lived, and the streaks always remind him of that day. remind him how he'd been ready to die for his friend. and how he still is.

gil's from a mixture of both. all the stress of becoming the champion and dealing with his exile plus the i think about 3 times now he's been struck by lightning all contributes to the little chunks of white scattered through those seaweed green locks.

so simply put the idea started when i was listening to portals by melanie martinez for the first time and thought "huh. i could make a jrwi au out of this." when i heard the contortionist and void especially

it doesnt have a definitive title yet or a set time placement in the timeline but here's the idea i have going:

somehow, one way or another, albatrio ends up in some form of forest. there's this lake or fountain or something and (just think that they had to make a check or something like in ep 21 with the pool thing in that and bizly failed it for chip) chip's drawn to drink from it.

cue my favourite thing ive ever somewhat made: the eldritch horror nightmare water.

bro passes out and jay and gil are just there like "oh. shit. there he goes." and nyorrm think kuba kenta curse. shit horrid nightmares with actual physical effects yippee. chibo wakes up, big dramatic thing where he coughs a bunch and is in super denial that the other two are alive. think ep 97 ending.

and so now chip's in a constant super tired state and we basically have something like 98 where his health deteriorates overtime except sometimes he does in fact fall asleep and the dreams get worse and worse until he's not just coughing and having a physical toll with soreness: he starts coughing up blood and plants and he gets random cuts and scratches absolutely everywhere and has plants growing from them and is, quite visibly, dying.

insert so many scenes of him barely holding on and losing his grip on what's real, what isnt, what's a dream, what's not, if he's awake or if he isnt. sprinkle polypirates in there too. just for myself.

in the end, jay and gil find a way to help him (they think so at least) and chip ushers them both to go and leave him alone. at this point he's like 30 minutes from fucking dying so the other two are hesitant to leave him but he insists that they both go.

you can probably assume what happens next. (he lets himself die. im smiling at you innocently)

gil and jay get back, find him, BIIIIIG dramatic scene of them pissed and upset and full of grief and regret and then gil leaves to go find someone, anyone that could bring chip back.

this bit's a wip but gil goes to someone, maybe niklaus again, maybe some other random guy (if i go this route im thinking of making someone similar to the elephant man from camp here and there in terms of looks & personality) and gets chip back (probably with a price of course. smiles at you)

and so they have chip back, who's permenantly fucked up forever and has a very bad grip on reality now, and they make it out of the nightmare forest and back on their ship :)

thinking about giving it a bad ending though, with the crew helping chip recover and in the end he just cant and. you can assume from here.

more about the au i just posted about because i talked about it with tiger and hubble some time ago and i wanna talk about the little things

specifically gil & chip's relationship throughout because i think about them a lot

i imagine in the part of the timeline where everything's REALLY starting to go downhill for chip and jay's off looking for help at one point, gil would simply have chip's head in their lap (gil's gonna use they/them in this okay i'm an agender-spec gil truther) and would be, internally, terrified. so scared that their best friend is dying and they can't do anything to help and, as a comfort mechanism, starts singing.

softly, at first. mainly to themself, but as they watch chip's far off gaze slowly ground more to there and then, they get ever so slightly louder, soft enough so it's comforting but loud enough so that the pirate in their lap can hear them. they sing lullabies that edyn sang them as a child but still tries to keep chip awake because they're scared for him and his dreams. they sing songs that chip taught them, getting a laugh out of him as he tries to sing along.

they lay there and they sing until jay gets back with whatever news or supplies she has.
