♡ she's another one of my dance fighters and has danced since she was a teenager, but differs from ame in that her style is more elegant and fluid. she also uses weapons more often, as while she's skilled at dodging and confusing her opponents, she's not that confident in her own physical strength.

♡ relating to prev, she was a club dancer before beginning to work for adrian (starting at age 19/20, past raida pictured above), going by the name mariposa (mari for short) while on the job. while the job did pay well and she had a bit of a reputation, she decided to raise her ambitions and aim for the job she currently has.

♡ she's met jax while on her past job and even talked to him, but didn't remember him when meeting him again after he saved her. he did try to get closer to her but she denied him, thinking he just wanted to get in her pants.

♡ she had major confidence issues prior to and in the beginning of the series, and while they're not as major as they used to be (as of books 2 and 3), they're very much still there. her past job both increased and decreased them at the same time - while she liked dancing for an audience and showing herself off, some of the people she'd meet made her fall into near self depreciating levels again.

♡ again related to prev, her love languages are words of affirmation and acts of service + she absolutely adores being pampered and praised in all contexts (if in bed, NOT "good girl" praise, but "you're the most beautiful woman i've ever seen" type praise).

♡ she is much more serious and collected than "canon" bloodbound mc, more experienced (when it comes to fighting, socializing, and just life in general) and just has less of that dumb badass energy, but she does defrost from time to time. in general she contrasts a lot with lily, being serious and mature yet dressing in bright girly clothing while lily is sweet and funny but dresses in dark, goth leaning clothing.

♡ because of the council not really being a thing anymore as of book 3, she let both jax and adrian brand her (and instead of the arm like in canon, she has the clan raines brand on her chest and the clan matsuo brand on her back), meaning she's both the first vampire blood keeper and the first to have two brands. yes, she's that girl

♡ she's the oldest of seven siblings, all biologically female, since her mother (named renée as per my headcanons) really wanted to have a boy but only found out at the birth of her youngest that she's unable to bear biological sons. fortunately one of her siblings (the second oldest to be specific) came out as trans not long after the youngest sister was born.

♡ she would be a vegetarian if it weren't for the fact she's quite literally a vampire and therefore needs blood to live, but that's still the only animal product she'll ever have. she also always keeps a pack of fruit gummies in her bag, and since she enjoys baking/making her snacks herself rather than just buying them (with the exception of the gummies), she pretty much lives in an ingredient only household.

♡ she's physically unable to wear anything mostly/plain black, everything she wears has to be pastel, sweet, and most of the time pink. lily sees it as a bit of an inconvenience ("i mean, all goths have wanted to be vampires at least once, so i figure the opposite is also true... except for you, somehow"), but raida just sees it as breaking stereotypes.

Endgame LI Headcanon: All of them. Who I choose to have her be closest with in the game and in headcanons is still pending. Nikhil also gets to be a part of the polycule.

Additional Notes: Jax died in my playthrough, this may or may not change when I do an official Jasmine playthrough. I might also change it in my headcanons such that Adrian is the one who sacrifices himself for MC because why were only Jax and Lily eligible for that? Stupid.

How Rich are You?? - Bloodbound Edition

Welcome to the MONEY Series, where I draw up how rich everybody is. Here, I estimate how rich ALL the Bloodbound LIs are because literally everyone likes cash, not just me.

ADRIAN: Literally one of the first details about Adrian we ever got was that he’s a billionaire. And from the way PB stresses it, it seems like he’s one of those super-billionaires or something. I doubt he’s at the Jeff Bezos level (publicly at least), but this guy has some serious numbers in his bank account. Now, CEOs 

like him don’t have billions in cash sitting in some bank vault somewhere. Most of their money is made up of the amount of their company that they own and how much that slice is worth. Seeing as Adrian probably founded his own company, it’s pretty fair to say he has a good chunk of it. And Raines Corp. seems to be like the golden child of a capitalist mother. MC mentions that the Raines Corp. was one of the fastest growing companies in America (in the job interview with Nicole), Adrian was voted ‘CEO to watch’, and she also said ‘like no one knows how profitable Raines Corp. is’ in Marcel’s library. Plus Adrian’s other assets like a private jet and great car and stuff, that’s a CRAZY amount of money.

Net Worth: $40 - $50 billion (the company’s had a lot of time to grow and rake in profit and value, seeing as vampires are, you know, a little thing called immortal)

But wait, there’s more! There’s this super shady thing that rich people do called offshore accounts! Basically, they shovel their cash to places like Bermuda and the Cayman islands to avoid paying taxes and hide their boatloads of cash from the feds. I’m pretty sure Adrian does that, not to avoid taxes, but to hide money he made in the other centuries he’s been alive, like the lucrative mega-businesses of the Gilded Age, that he otherwise wouldn’t be able to explain.

COMPLETE NET WORTH: $80 - $90 billion (includes previous profits in offshore accounts, physical things like gold and artifacts, real estate, international company investments). 

Probably Owns: Obviously his private plane, which seems quite large and luxurious (Gulfstream perhaps?). He definitely has that decked out penthouse with a prime view of the Manhattan real estate market and a car described as a ‘slick sports car’ in Book 1 when you’re rescuing him. I am 100% sure he has a giant wine collection spanning centuries old as long as multiple estates around the US. In Book 1, Kamilah mentions she didn’t know about Adrian’s colonial estate, implying that there are others. So, if you like jet setting to giant mansions with centuries old bubbly, there’s that. 

KAMILAH: Our vampire queen is not just the queen of literally everything, she is also the queen of raking in the sweet sweet cash. She’s in finance, and if it’s one thing I’ve learned, finance is profitable. Now, it’s obvious she’s extremely wealthy, but the curious things is that it’s not emphasized as such. It’s stressed that Adrian is a billionaire and has a private plane and whatnot, but there’s no mention of the extent of Kamilah’s wealth. So here’s what probably went down: Kamilah’s public wealth is lower than Adrian’s, but her hidden wealth is a lot higher. I literally would not be surprised if she could go to Egypt, dig a random hole in the desert, and turn up a motherlode of gold she hid thousands of years ago. 

Net Worth: $20 - $30 billion (as far as the outside world knows. But if you factor in all her hidden wealth and earnings and random gold statues and hundred carat diamonds floating around the world, I’d estimate it at about $200 billion. This insanely high number is yes, due to the amount of previous earnings and valuables like precious metals and artifacts she has, but also their age and rarity)

Probably Owns: A really nice residence in Manhattan (I’m thinking a penthouse apartment similar in concept, but different in style to Adrian’s), along with apartments in every city she has an office in. I’m also sure she also has a walk in closet stacked wall to wall with custom made suits. I’m also quite sure that she still owns a few artifacts that are stored in private holdings around the world, like on in Egypt perhaps, and maybe some in remote areas like the deserts of Nevada or Argentine Patagonia. 

JAX MATSUO: Okay, what I know about Jax is that he was basically a college dropout in the 80s who spent his tuition dollars on LSD trips and bad disco clothes. And the last time I checked, disco clothes aren’t that valuable anymore (and never should have been). Now, I theorize that any personal wealth he gained was redistributed to help the Clanless and others that he took in. So, he’s not crapping blocks of gold and hundred dollar bills like Adrian and Kamilah. He’s crapping out those rolls of quarters you get at the convenience store and the occasional fake diamond earring from Claire’s. However, his new position on the Council is definitely bringing in some much needed cash.

Net Worth: $3 - $4 million (mostly due to him reinvesting in his Clan, and being relatively new to business and Council duties)

Probably Owns: I don’t think Jax has as much material wealth and homes/properties as Adrian and Kamilah. I think he has a nice, safe, and comfortable quarters in the refurbished Shadow Den so he can be with his people at all times. He probably scraped up enough for a respectable car due to nagging from Lily, but other than that, I theorize that he prefers to live a little more under the radar.

LILY SPENCER: The only piece of info I have about her was that she was able to buy us 10 pizzas when we first met (flashback in Book One). Now, the price of pizza in NYC is rising, with the average being $16.98. Ten pizzas is roughly $170 dollars.

Net Worth: $170 (but in reality, I estimate about $35 - $60k with any debts fully paid off. Running with Jax is definitely drawing in income, and I won’t be surprised if she’s drawing a salary from her service or a commission from Fangbook.)

Probably Owns: 0 delicious pizzas because she ate them all. But seriously though, we know she still lives in the apartment with us, so that hasn’t changed. I don’t see a need or means for a car or private jet or anything like that, and I can’t see Lily buying hugely permanent things. She seems much more of a ‘spur of the moment’ person, and purchases reflect that. Like one of those ten foot teddy bears from Costco. Or a signed David Tennant photo from eBay. Or a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mask worn by the stunt man. Take your pick.

A book that suprised me and I ended up liking was A Courtesan of Rome.

Random facts:

Suprisingly I didn't warm up to Blades of Light and Shadow, even though it very well made.

I miss the Art Style from ES and Hero

The Female Love Interests deserve better!

Open Hearts is kinda going downhill with Book 3, which is why I only really liked Book 2, but Book 1 was also okay. I'm still spending diamonds on Book 3 cause I have enough, I have 2 LI I like and I hope Pixelberry will catch themselves and give Raf, Jacky and Bryce the recognition they deserve!

23. Write a ~300 scene between them with no dialogue, only body language.

Jax stopped abruptly, holding out an arm to keep Chloe from going any further. She muttered under her breath angrily but stood obediently still, listening carefully for any sound in the dark park. Jax silently unsheathed his katana, pointing towards the bridge in the distance before stealthily making his way through the shadows.

Chloe carefully made her way after him, eyes focused intently on the gleam of the moonlight against the steel of his katana. She watched as he crouched behind a bush, still focused on the old stone bridge. When she reached him she crouched behind him, planting her hands on his shoulder and looking past his ear.

Jax flinched as a baby deer jumped out from under the bridge, darting out into the night. He laughed, the tension draining from his body as he realized the source of the “threat”. Chloe leaned into him, resting her chin on his shoulder as her arms wrapped under his armpits to hug him around his chest. She kissed his cheek as he nuzzled against her face, his short hair tickling her cheek.

Together they fell backwards into the grass, staring up at the full moon in the night sky. This was the closest they would get to a normal date; hunting ferals in the park by moonlight, sneaking around in the shadows. Jax wrapped an arm around Chloe, holding her close and pressing a kiss to the top of her head. They were miles from normal, but they were together, and that was worth something.

5 Tears - Jax Matsuo x MC

- It was seventeen days, four hours, and thirty two minutes since that fateful meeting where Jax had joined the council. He lasted that long before he finally broke under the pressure. Leading the persecuted Clanless for so long, then so suddenly thrust under the pressure and scrutiny of holding a Council seat, it was just about enough stress to make any lesser man break weeks before. The two of you escaped, ducking into hidden alleys and fire escapes to look over the city, trying to catch your breath, trying to catch your sanity together.

- Adrian hadn’t been lying when he said the world of vampires was a dangerous

 one. To be under the protection of a Clan Leader was good enough, but for Jax, the thought of it not being enough was almost all consuming. For all his newfound power, he was but one man. And one man couldn’t be everywhere all the time. 

- The first incident came with what remained of Clan Vega. Those who had chosen to stay in the streets of Manhattan surrendered themselves to Kamilah and Lester and Adrian, but those who fled waited in the shadows and plotted. Revenge was their mind, and rage was their heart, and who better to take it out on than the most vulnerable of the ragtag group that had taken away everything they had once enjoyed? They attacked you on a cloudy January night, your screams cutting off not before echoing across the red brick and highline glass before Jax was finally able to get to you.

- He blamed no one but himself for that. There was no other explanation for the attack, he surmised, then the fact that he hadn’t been watchful, hadn’t been vigilant enough. You pleaded with him, pointing to the just healed marks on your neck and the fact that your heart still beat. It wasn’t enough. It was a shadow he’d carry for the rest of his years however long they may be - the inability to protect. All those Clanless that he’d been forced to put down, the looming threat of Clan Vega that had nearly destroyed him, and now you, the one person he loved but might have to let go. 

- It was years before the fears faded. The two of you strolled in the nighttime air again without a care in the world. You ran in Central Park under a midnight moon and twirled on the deck of the Empire State Building. The dangers were gone, the fears allayed. But so you thought, walking down the road at two in the morning while eyes watched you from every corner.

The Ring: Jax proposed to you with a custom ring, with the diamond in the center being from the Repository in the old Clanless headquarters. It was beautiful, and a stark reminder of how far both of you had come from those bloody first encounters. 

The Dress: Elena Vo, the tailor from the Clanless that you and Lily had met in your first night there, insisted on offering her services for free. You had no idea how she managed it, but she acquired the finest lace from the haute couturiers in Paris and managed to stitch a beautiful strappy dress with a loose end that trailed the floor when you walked.

The Ceremony: You and Jax got married on May 1st, the anniversary of the 1971 May Day Protests of the Vietnam War - the same protests that Jax’s parents had attended and got arrested in. After holding the reception in a private restaurant that Adrian had managed to buy out, the two of you walked alone together on the Brooklyn Bridge just before it started to rain.

The Cake: You wanted a white cake with a navy trim, whereas Jax wanted a giant cake with a chocolate lava interior. You compromised and got the white cake with a navy trim. Jax did stop complaining when he tasted it, a rich butter cake with champagne syrup.

Extra Notes: After the ceremony, you and Jax flew out to Italy, where the Venetian lights were even more beautiful at night. Per his request, you took a detour to Romania to tour a few ‘haunted’ castles at the last minute.

Thanks for tagging me, @queen-of-effing-everything​! These are my favorite MCs, in no particular order. My choices were based on how connected I feel to them and how well I have developed them (some details of their backgrounds have been incorporated into fanfics, and others are just headcanons).

Daphne Mayumi Gordon Matsuo, Bloodbound

Daphne’s father is a high school history teacher whose ancestors have been in the United States since colonial times. Her mother is Japanese-American (and a Bloodkeeper.) History is important to her family. Her parents took her to visit historical sites when she was growing up, Her mother told her what she knew of their Japanese heritage. While Daphne was in college, she took some Japanese classes so she could learn the language.

She felt a connection to one side of her heritage with Adrian, and the other with Jax. She was attracted to and got involved with both of them, but over time, she grew closer to Jax, who turned out to be the love of her life. The trip to Japan was very meaningful for both her and Jax.

Her name represents her heritage perfectly. Her maiden surname connects her to her father’s ancestors. Her Japanese middle name connects her to her mother’s side of the family. And her first name is of Greek origin, which is fitting considering that Rheya and Iola came from that general area. Perhaps her mother, as a Bloodkeeper, sensed that without realizing it.

She is now happily married to Jax, and her married name represents her connection to the vampire world and her love for her husband.

Vanessa Rios, It Lives in the Woods

I can really relate to Vanessa. Until she reconnected with her childhood friends, she was a loner, and I was too. We also both love animals.

Vanessa’s father is a Brazilian immigrant of mixed European, African, and native South American heritage. Her mother is from California. Vanessa’s maternal grandfather is Mexican-American, and her maternal grandmother is mostly Italian-American, but she also has a little Irish ancestry. Although her family is diverse, they have something in common: all are Catholic. Vanessa’s great-uncle is a priest. Her mother’s brother lives with a much younger man. Her mother’s sister is deceased; her daughter is Maribel Cruz (ROD MC.)

Vanessa is studying to be an animal-assisted therapist. She hopes to go into practice with Dan someday. She is still very much in love with Connor.

Celia Larkin, Platinum

I dream of recording an album someday, so I got to live out my fantasies virtually by playing as Celia. Celia has fallen hard for M!Raleigh, and I wish we had been given more time to explore their relationship.

Randi Larsen-Dominguez, America’s Most Eligible

Although AME could have been better written, I still really liked Randi and Slater’s relationship. The progression of their relationship probably makes more sense in my headcanons than in actual canon.

Randi is Norwegian-American on her father’s side. She is a flirt and an exhibitionist, so reality TV was a good fit for her. She and Slater are very well-suited to each other, and against all odds, may actually make their marriage work long-term.

Jaqenia Winter, Blades of Light and Shadow

I named my Blades MC (a human) after Jaqen H’ghar, my favorite Game of Thrones/ASOIAF character, and chose her initial skills (Blades and Deception) based on him as well. I picked out a last name for her too and was disappointed that I couldn’t enter it (maybe because of the later revelation of Elf!MC’s heritage.) It also comes from Game of Thrones/ASOIAF, from House Stark’s motto “Winter is coming.” I figured that could take on another meaning (or two, considering her hot companions.😉)

She is romancing both Mal and Tyril and wants to either be polyamorous or in a throuple with them if they decide they’re into each other too.

Bonus: Kenna Rys, The Crown & the Flame

I did my top 5 customizable MCs, but I can’t leave out the badass warrior queen Kenna Rys. TC&TF is my favorite Choices book. And although Kenna isn’t customizable, I customized her future when I created her descendants. She’s pictured here on the day that she married the love of her life (in my game, anyway), Raydan Lykel.

Sucker For Pretty Faces

Author’s note: I was replaying Bloodbound and just realized how much I swooned every time Jax showed up 😍 This is a headcanon of his first diamond scene, where he needs to feed to cure a battle injury, but, of course, my version is a little thirstier 😉 [All characters are owned by Pixelberry studios]

Book: Bloodbound Pairing: Jax Matsuo x MC (Samantha) Word count: 1312 Rating: M Summary: After defending Samantha from the Baron’s guards, Jax takes her to his safehouse and needs to feed to heal the wound he got during the fight.

Warning: This piece contains scenes (blood kink) unsuitable for minor audiences which may be disturbing/offensive for some people. Reader discretion is advised.

“You should probably go now. Wouldn’t want Adrian to come looking,” Jax says bluntly. Despite all the things Adrian has said about the Clanless and the Ferals, Samantha feels drawn to Jax and his safehouse. She looks at her surroundings, taking everything in.

“No, she came to play with me.” Lula pouts at Jax then turns to Samantha. “Play with me, please.” The little girl’s pleading eyes and pouting mouth makes Samantha smile and she finds her window to stay.

“I’d love to,” she replies softly as Lula runs across the room and picks up her small tea cups set, placing them on the table. Climbing on the chair, Lula stands up and arranges her toys on the table, offering a cup of pretend tea to Samantha. “Thank you, I love tea parties.”

Jax studies Samantha intently as he sips his glass of awamori. Bringing a human into a Clanless safehouse could be dangerous for many reasons, including the fact that she’s associated to one of the Clan leaders and could be easily killed by the impudent vampire child next to her. However, there something about her that intrigues him. He can’t just let her to go.

“Are you here with your parents?”

“No, they aren’t allowed.”

“Oh...” Samantha fiddles with her hair and looks down for moment, then apoligizes. “I’m sorry to hear that…”

“After my uncle bit me, I had to stay with Jax. We don’t have a home, so it’s hard to find food to drink.”

“Child vampires are tricky. They have no self-control to feed on a human without draining them. To keep her parents safe, we take care of her here, with pre-exsanguinated blood,” Jax explains, then leans closer and whispers to Samantha. “Also, because it’s too hard for her parents to wonder how long it might be…”

“When you don’t have a Clan, you go bitebitebite.”

“Ferals are sick, Lula. And we’re working hard to keep you, to keep all of us from getting sick.”

“Jax, will you play some Go Fish with me later?”

“Of course,” he replies smiling and hugs her. 

She pulls out of his embrace and leaves the room. 

As Jax stands up, he winces, gritting his teeth.

“What’s the matter?” Samantha asks.

“Nothing. One of the Baron’s guards got me before I got him. It’s not bad, though,” he shrugs as he looks at the wound in the side of his abdomen.

“It doesn’t look good either.” She frowns.

Arnold steps closer and looks at it. “You need to feed, Jax. That wound’s not gonna heal itself.”

“Yeah, well, we’re not meeting up with the volunteers for today’s feeding until later.”

“We need a human now.”

“I can do it. Feed on me,” Samantha says.

Jax gapes at her surprised. “You sure? It’s not harmful, but it can be a little… intense.”

“You saved my life, the least I can do is to return the favor,” she stands up and takes the chair next to him. 

Arnold leaves the room, closing the door to give them privacy. 

Jax sits, positions her gently, so she’s facing away from him and brushes her hair to the side, leaning in. His thumb traces a line on her neck where a vein pumps fast, exuding a honeyed yet spicy aroma. Completely enticed by her, he sinks his teeth into her flesh. She tastes even sweeter than he imagined and he knows it will take a lot more will-power to stop than usual.

His fangs send an electric jolt through her body and Samantha gasps, lost in a mix of pain and pleasure. His mouth feels warm against her neck and it feels like a deeper and more intimate kiss. He places one hand on her waist and she tilts her head back, exposing more of her neck to him and holds him. Her free hand leads his down her belly and lifting her dress to touch between her legs. He freezes and retrieves his fangs from her neck. 

“Don’t stop…” she pants.

“I have to. I don’t want to drain you,” He breathes in, trying to recompose himself.

“Please… I…” She shifts on her seat to look at him. His eyes glow like ruby gemstones and his plush lips are slightly swollen. 

Samantha leans in and kisses him. She can taste the metallic flavor of her own blood in his mouth along with the mellow and strong alcohol he drank. Taking his hand, she guides it to her inner thigh, towards her sex. 

This time he doesn’t stop. One of his hand rubs her lower lips through her lace thong as the other roams on her back. She quickly straddles him. 

“Feed on me again. Please,” she begs.

He kisses her neck and his tongue flickers on the two punctures he just did, sending a tiny charge of pleasure beneath her skin that spreads to her breasts and along her torso. 

She moans with her fingers entwined in his dark hair, her body seeking desperately for his. 

He wants her, she can feel his arousal, but he seems not to want to take things too far. He trails kisses from her neck to her shoulder, then pricks his forefinger and presses it on the perforations, sealing them. 

“Why didn’t you keep going?”

“Believe me, I want to.” He cups her cheeks, “But you were moving your neck too much and losing more blood than you should have.”

“Oh!” Her brown eyes widen.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes, more than okay… I feel great. But what about your wounds? Oh god, I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t-” She lifts his shirt and touches his abdomen, surveying the area where he was wounded, but his skin looks flawless.

“Your blood was more than enough to heal the injury. Thank you.” His mouth curves into a crooked smile and he gives her a napkin.

“Thank you.” she dabs the napkin on her neck.

“You should have some rest. I can get you home if you need help.”

She stands up. “It’s fine, I think I can walk back home, it’s not far from here.”

He writes something on a piece of paper and hands it to her. “My number. In case you need any kind of help.”

“Even if the things I need are a beer and a foot massage?” She raises an eyebrow.

“You’d be surprised with my massage skills. Just let me know what kind of beer you like.” He smirks.

“I’ll hold you to that.” She bites her lips and follows him to the door.

Jax pushes the door open for her. “Samantha, be careful. Don’t trust anyone on the Council.”

“But Adrian-”

“They turn on everyone sooner or later. Always,” he opposed.

“I’ll keep that in mind. And I hope we’ll meet each other again.”

“‘Til then.” He says, holding the door open.

She rises on her toes, kisses his cheek and looks into his eyes. “Good night, Jax.”

“Good night, Samantha,” he replies, his voice sounding low and smoky. As soon as she disappears on the corner, he closes the door and walks back inside. He shakes his head and fights back the urge to smile. She’s supposed to be his spy inside Raines Corporate, not someone that can make him distracted. However, he can’t seem to get her away from his mind.

“You like this girl, don’t you?” Arnold queries sardonically, bringing Jax from his reverie.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jax answers avoiding eye contact with Arnold.

“I know you, Jax. You don’t want her just a spy, you’re a sucker for pretty faces.”

Jax doesn’t look back, but smirks. “Maybe,” he murmurs to himself and walks into his room lost in his thoughts about how great it felt to taste her blood and have her in his arms.
