I think we often understate just how menacing Jason is.

He is huge

He is ruthless

He is armed to the teeth

He is frighteningly competent

I need "scary as fuck" Jason to meet the Justice League.

The thing with Jason and Tim is that they are literally peers.

They are 2-3 years apart at most.

Jason also didn't get to be a teen for a few years, so Tim has the upper hand socially.

Tim is the preppy jock

Jason is the weird, quiet nerd in the back of the classroom. He is just also the size of an American double fridge.

Jason Todd is definitely the kind of guy who is completely secure in his masculinity, mainly because he doesn't actually care.

He will somehow find the most glittery Hello Kitty shirt known to humanity and wear it with full confidence. The shirt is, of course, too small and stays on through sheer miracle.

Granted, he's insecure about nearly everything else

Of course, Lois clocked him the second he opened his mouth, not only as a kid himself but she notices some turn of phrase that's uniquely Jason.
