They had initially insisted that they returned home to find her dead, but bite marks from Nikki implicated them in the crime.
Nikki herself had lived a rough childhood. Her mom Lynda had been in prison for robbery and drug offenses, so Nikki had been raised by her grandmother, Della Frazier. She had found herself pregnant at 17 with the twins.
34 year-old Jarmecca āNikkiā Whitehead (pictured left) was stabbed to death by her own 16 year-old twin daughters, Jasmiyah and Tasimyah Whitehead (pictured right) on January 13th, 2010. The mother and her daughters were living in Conyers, Georgia at the time the stabbing occurred, but they had spent 12 years prior living with Nikkiās grandmother, located about 20 miles away. Nikki moved her daughters to Conyers in hopes of giving them a better life, but Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah were not happy about this. The girlās relationship with their mother had soured since the two entered high school. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah felt that Nikki was too strict and they began to resent her for that. Nikki felt that the girls were always challenging her and found herself taking away their phones and other privileges quite often.
Police were called to the home numerous times prior to the murder. One night, Nikki frantically called 911 after Jasmiyah had snuck out in the middle of the night to meet her boyfriend. Another night, during yet another blowout between the girls and their mother, Nikki called the police again. This time, Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah told the officers that they wanted to go back to living with their great-grandmother, where the rules were more relaxed. Conyers Police Officer Myra Scruggs spoke with the girls and their mother at their home for a few hours that night, and things appeared to calm down after that. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah told Officer Scruggs that they were just going to let it go and call their great-grandmother the following morning.Ā
Still, Officer Scruggs had a bad feeling after leaving their home that evening so she decided to remain at their subdivision for a little bit longer. Less than five minutes after Officer Scruggs walked out of their door, Nikki came screaming and running outside with a cordless phone in her hand. Officer Scruggs ran back to the home and was told by Nikki that the girls had attacked her. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah claimed they had done so in self-defense after Nikki was being physically abusive towards them. However, Officer Scruggs noticed that Nikki had scratches on her neck and chest while the girls remained unmarked. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah were taken into custody that night and charged with assaulting their mother.
The girls, along with their mother, were ordered by the court to undergo counseling. Even after this, though, the conflicts between Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah and their mother continued. On the afternoon of January 13th, 2010, the girls called 911 and frantically told dispatchers that they found their mother dead in a blood-soaked bathtub. When the police arrived on the scene, they discovered that Nikki had been stabbed to death over 80 times; her spinal cord was nearly severed.Ā

16-year-olds Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah Whitehead were identical twins living in Conyers, Georgia, with their mother, Nikki Whitehead, and her boyfriend, Robert Head. The sisters were honor roll students and Girl Scouts. They were initially raised by their grandmother, who was lenient with them, before their mother gained custody of them later on in life. They had a rocky relationship, as most of their arguments were due to Nikkiās attempts to control her daughters. Many of these conflicts would escalate into physical fights. On the morning of January 13, 2010, one of these brawls would turn deadly. According to the sisters, their mother flew into a fit of rage after the twins woke up late for school. Nikki was waving the pot around violently while threatening them. After Tasmiyah snatched the pot from her, thatās when their mother grabbed a knife and pointed it at them. Jasmiyah then smashed a vase over Nikkiās head and Nikki counter-attacked by biting her daughter in the chest. After efforts to push her off had failed, Tasmiyah rushed to her sisterās aid by attacking their mother with the knife. The twins ended up both stabbing her before dragging her from the kitchen all the way into the bathtub and stood over their mother as she drew her final breaths. They spent the aftermath of the murder crying, cleaning up, and then went to school.Ā
The sisters were arrested five months later and each twin pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter in 2014. They were sentenced to serve 30 years in prison.

Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah Whitehead, a set of identical twins from Georgia, were just 16-years-old when they murdered their mother, Nikki Whitehead, by beating her with a vase and stabbing her with a kitchen knife. As well as multiple stab wounds to the lungs and neck area, Nikkiās spinal cord had also been severed.
The trio had a rocky relationship, with the twins initially being raised by their great-grandmother as Nikki dipped in and out of her childrenās lives. Ā Once their mother gained custody of the twins, arguments and physical altercations were commonplace. Ā Following one such incident, custody was handed back over to Tasmiyah and Jasmiyahās great-grandmother, only to have Nikki regain custody just over a week before her death on January 13th, 2010.
Despite insisting that they returned home from school to find their mother dead, bite marks inflicted by their mother implicated the girls in the crime, and they were both charged with murder. Ā As part of a plea deal, the twins pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter, and received 30 years in prison. Ā Serving time in separate institutions, Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah will be eligible for parole next year.

A lot of these details are incorrect. Like the twins that murdered their mother. They were angry that she wouldnāt let them stay out late and that she had rules for them. Theyād lived with their grandmother doing what they wanted and were very angry over being told they had to follow rules when they went back to live with their mom.
Those details are already included in the post regarding Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah Whiteheadso I donāt know what youāre carping about.Ā
